The service here is horrible, but they make up for it by lying to customers about everything. My car was in a minor collision - the front corner was banged up and the headlight was broken. My insurance company sends me to Caliber. I take the car in for an estimate. Then they have me bring the car back a second time so they could order the parts. They sent me a letter saying they had all the parts, so I brought the car in for repair. But they never ordered the headlight!! Then their supplier didn't have the headlight, so they kept my car for over two months. Every week, they would tell me the part was coming in day or so, for sure. But they were just lying. Finally I had to pick the car up without a headlight. What a fiasco. They were rude, did not even try to get my car fixed and just generally treated me like crap. I am well aware of the global supply shortage, but that is no excuse for horrible service and constant lying. They brag about their lifetime warranty -- I highly doubt they would ever fix anything under warranty. This is a bad business. Avoid. read more

Honestly I don't do many reviews but i thought about this one. -when i got to the office, i walked in and a girl named Daisy greeted me & she even gave my daughter a bag of popcorn when she overheard her say something about the popcorn machine they had! Even though it didn't work at the moment she still figured out a way to give us that bag of popcorn. Talk about great hospitality right? Keep in mind, i'm pregnant, close to term and all i wanna do is get my car fixed before my baby's born and how all of this was such an inconvenience for me. (i got rear ended on the 8th and i went in on the 21st, closest appointment they had) The person who took a look at my car was kind as well and he let me know everything to the point. He told me he didn't want to inconvenience me out of not being able to drive my car so they'd wrap it up in the bumper so i could drive it for the meantime that parts came in. With covid there was a shortage of parts and some were able to get here in a couple days, others in weeks, months etc. so i understood. Next guy who gave us the breakdown of everything was Reagan. I didn't think he would have been so understanding but he gave me the best possible solution in MY best interest. He was efficient, fast, and empathized to my situation which is all i look for when coming back to a place. I hope no one hits me any time soon but regardless if i'm ever in a situation again, my husband and i will be coming back to this Caliber location. Just a warning... written from my personal experience. If you get a quote from Caliber, San Juan Capistrano for any car repair, please get a second opinion from, at least, another repair shop. Especially, if Caliber is a "recommended/preferred" repair shop with your auto insurance. It is worth the time and effort! Especially... if your repair costs are high and/or your vehicle is claimed a total loss. Do not be fooled that, if your insurance covers these costs, you are okay... you WILL pay more in insurance premiums in the future. You may get ( a lot) less for total loss claim. Get the best repair quote or total loss from at least two reputable repair shops. There are several collision repair shops within a few blocks of Caliber, that are an easy tow truck move from Caliber. The savings to you could be SUBSTANTIAL... and probably more realistic/honest! read more

I came into their office looking for a quote to take my racing stripes off my car and repaint my hood. When I walked into the office, the first thing that they said was, "we are expensive". I didn't even get into why I was there! Once I explained my situation that my racing stripes were starting to peel off, they asked me if I wanted the stripes put back on, which they relplied, well those have to be custom painted on!.... once I explained, of course I want them put back on, and we talked about what I wanted, I left.... I have still not received a quote for the job. I must say, that I have the money to do everything, but was treated very unprofessionally, AND did not get a quote for work to be performed.... I do not recommend this business. I'm going somewhere else! read more

Stopped in on a Friday at noon to see what it cost for a quick fix on my Lexus. Was greeted by Daysi and I explained the situation. One advisor was with someone and Daysi explained that another advisor was at lunch, and asked if I could come back later. I hesitated and said that's ok I can come back another day. She checked with Reagan, who was on his lunch, if he could take a look. He came out, went to my car and said he would take it inside to see if it could be taken care of while I waited. It was a matter of a few minutes and it was done! AND there was no charge!! May 3rd. 2023 dropped car off told us it would be a week. Went to pick up car on May 11th. 2023. They said car was done. Took car home and seen that the bumper was not put on properly and the tail light was excused and it looked worst, than before we got into the accident. Also, the paint did not match the rest of the car. The car is grey and the bumper is green gray. Took the car back. They said they would fix it. Called to see the status of the car. Brian the manager told me they had a problem and got some kind of glue on the right rear quarter panel and they have to paint it also due to their mistake. They called said to pick up the car on May 19th. 2023. We inspected the car before taking it and once again the paint did not match. The bumper was still not the right color. We also noticed that the interior trim panel was all scratched up. Confronted Brian the manager and he said he would look into it. He got back to me and said the interior panel would cost $350.00 and he said he would speak to his employee about the scratches, and they said they never touched it. But in order to paint the right rear panel they damaged they had to take the window out. In order to get the window out you have to take the interior panel off to get to the window out. Manager said it's a hard paint to match and that all car bumpers are different colors than the car itself. I knew this was not correct. We left the car again for the fourth time. He said he would blend it so it would match. We picked the car up on May 31st. 2023. Brain the manager said car good to go, we had to bring the car back again on June 5th., 2023 letting them know that there was overspray on the whole entire car. Brian the manager said he would take care of it. Picked the car up on June 6th. 2023. on June 8th. 2023 when the sun came out, we could see that the paint does still not match and that there is still a lot of overspray on the car. When they took the overspray off, they used buffer, and in the sunlight, we could see the car looked like a swirling ice cream cone. We did not take it back to them again, for that would have been the fifth time. Called the adjuster at AAA, they spoke to him, and he said there was nothing else he could do. Adjuster sent us to another shop, and they took care of this for us, matching the paint color and replacing the inner panel that Caliber scratched up. I would not recommend this shop to anyone. A simple bumper replacement and tail light replacement turned into a night mare. A three day repair turned into over a month long nightmare. read more
