I had an accident a few ago and have been recommended to fix my car to this location. When I walked in for my appointment, I have been greeted by the two ladies behind the desk, very nice and professional. I had to wait a little for Luis who took me in charge. We went around the car and returned to the office to leave the car. Luis told me it would be ready on the next Thursday. During the 4 days I waited, I received updates on the evolution of the work done. And Thursday as promised Luis called me back. I went to pick up the car, same nice ladies sorry I don't remember their names. Luis brought me to the car, it look like a brand new car, they have done an amazing job on the car. The must they cleaned up my car out and inside and it was dirty, this is really appreciable when you experience all that after an accident. I truly recommend Caliber in San Juan. read more

I give Kerry and Caliber a big FAT zero.. After not doing repairs on my car, after it being delivered to them, twice, they would not address the problems they didn't fix, nor would they return my calls. I tried to reach management, Kerry, for four straight days, leaving messages, to which he/she did not return a single call. Finally, I contacted AAA, got permission to go elsewhere, and they approved my delivery to an Audi dealer. Interesting, they fixed the problem in just a couple days (this after Caliber had my car for a month and a half). I got my car back, repairs completed "correctly", and the car drives great. AAA covered the costs, and are dealing with that cost back at Caliber. Caliber Collision : Incompetent, inconsiderate, and Irresponsible. I have a VW Atlas that got rear ended. I chose Caliber because they had great ratings and were local. I was very impressed with Reagan Bennett at Caliber. He got my car in immediately, held my vehicle for me while my insurance company accessed the damage (via photos & a in person inspection) and pro-actively followed up with me and my insurance company, making sure I got my car back in a timely matter. He went above and beyond, in my opinion, what a normal repair adviser would do and really made sure that my vehicle was fixed and repaired as if my vehicle was his own. I'm going to make this quick. Someone hit my wife's bumper in the parking lot and wanted to pay for the dent/scratches. She took it to caliber for an estimate But I needed an appointment and to give information about her insurance company Vin number make model etc. etc. they said it would cost 18 to 1900 because the dent resulted in a crease. I said that seems a little ridiculous for what it was and I took it down the street where the owner took a rag with lacquer thinner rubbed it out all the scratches and didn't charge anything. What does that tell u about Caliber. Is it because my wife is a woman Do they just take advantage of everyone. I don't know but it certainly seems unethical. I suppose if you're using insurance which I have on at least three occasions between all our cars they do a good job but if the insurance company is paying for it you are in your premium. This is the second bad experience I had here. The first time I took my son's toyota truck here for rear damage repair they had told me the frame was damaged but they could fix it i took it to another shop and they said theres no way you want to fix the frame when its damagedand they considered it a total loss. But the second time because I live close I decided to take my lexus to them for front damage repair. When I got it back there was overspray on my front headlights and windows and there was a rip on this moulding strip they had put on also had a new scratch on my driver door in which the repair manager tried to argue with me about. We got so upset with eachother that he said he was gonna have to ask me to leave his property. The other manager came out and settled the dispute and did agree to fix the stuff they damaged. But when I got it home I also realized the was still a chip on my roof where it had been damaged from the incident. I contacted my insurance company about this and took my vehicle somewhere else for repair.Do not take you vehicle here and if you do be sure to completely inspect it before you drive it away or they will argue with you to fix it. I was in a car accident recently and my insurance sent me and my car to Caliber. This was the first (and hopefully only) accident I have been in and I was already overwhelmed with insurance wars with the other people involved as well as injuries I am dealing with. My car has cosmetic modifications (the entire exterior is blacked out) and I was concerned that they would not be able to get it back to its original condition. I'm glad to say I was wrong. It looks awesome! After getting my car back I noticed that there was something off with my car still, so I brought it back within a few days because they mentioned their "lifetime warranty". Within 1 business day they had taken it back to the shop that preformed the fix to the problematic part, ensured the part was fixed/ reinstalled, and had ordered a new version of that same part just in case there was a problem laster on. That level of service and forethought is not something I expected, but I appreciated it more than they know. Also, they are really good on the communication front. When something rare and kind happens I want people to know about it. Driving back to San Diego from a long day at a funeral in LA there was a bunch if tarp that must have fallen off some truck. We dodged several of the spill, but one. It must have hooked on something and all of a sudden we hear something dragging. So we get off the freeway and pull over and my husband looks under the car and it looks like a piece of hard plastic had come loose and was dragging. So he decides to drive into a caliber collision right by where we were. The person was so kind. Without hesitation he said i will pull it in and check it. He looked and removed the piece that was dragging and said to have a new one placed. It's just a protective cover that came loose. He said you can wait in the customer lounge. In a few minutes he then announced on the PA the car is ready. I thought we would have to complete a form, call our collision insurance, that we would get excuses how they are too bust to look at it and get charged! To my pleasant surprise and delight none of that happened. He fixed it right away and we were on our way without the awful grinding noise! Thank you For the good old caring mechanic service!! Worst place EVER... due to one huge factor. Their receptionist. I had to bring my car in, this was the closest place my insurance found for me. I called to be sure I didn't need an appointment. I had other things to do that day, so I didn't have time to wait around. The receptionist told me to just bring it on in. So I arrive 20 minutes later and when I approach the desk, she just looks at me and says "the guy just went to lunch. Come back in an hour." I just kind-of stood there, dumbfounded. She looks at me with this kind-of smirk, and says "please..?". I'm too nice in person to say much.. I just nodded and walked out of the shop. As I'm sitting in my car, trying to re-arrange my schedule, I see another female walk in, briefly chat with the receptionist, then sit down. I decide to walk back in, and I asked her if there was any paperwork I could fill out while I waited. I also made it clear that I was not happy about being told to come back, when I specifically called to be sure someone would be available. She's like, "who's your insurance company?" and sighs loudly afterwards. I tell her, and at that point two different adjusters walk up. One of them called the other girl in the waiting room, the other greeted me, walked out and took a look at my car, and promptly wrote up the estimate. Okay, let me reiterate this. The receptionist was completely rude. She also flat-out lied when she told me there wasn't anyone available to look at my car. The "guy" was at lunch huh? Did you forget about the other two? Even though the adjuster was a nice enough guy, and they may do decent body work, I decided to bring my car somewhere else. The other place I went (Hi-Tech Collision) was fantastic, and about $500 less. The receptionist there was very pleasant, sweet, and helpful. I'm just going to add one more thing, because it's the truth. I saw the way I was treated compared to the other female customer. I happen to be a model and am blessed with a beautiful face and body. I find this bitchiness time and time again from women. I am such a nice person and I am really fed up with old, ugly women who are going to disrespect me because they are jealous of the way I look. I can't help that I'm beautiful. People should be treated equally, regardless of their looks. Which goes to show you that there is prejudice against every kind of person in this world. read more

My experience at the San Juan Capistrano location was the absolute best experience I've had at any auto repair shop in my 40 years on this Earth lol. So that's saying something. From the moment I walked through the door when I was greeted by Leeann, to the moment I met with Reagan and was leaving the experience was excellent. Leeann was personable, genuine, educated me on the processes moving forward, and ensured understanding of all my questions. She was so inviting I even had a chat about motherhood with her after I jokingly asked them to take their time PLEASE "because this is a mama break for me after work." I listened to her customer service with callers during my short wait. Leeann is personable, knowledgeable, and efficient. She is definitely an asset to your company. I very rarely right reviews but the experience was a 10 out of 10 for sure. My service advisor Reagan was amazing. He is pleasant, knowledgeable, and efficient as well. Caliber in San Juan Capistrano has done work for me previous, and their workmanship very good. However, I recently took my Dodge RAM truck in to have some body repairs done. The service was terrible, and my truck looked better before I took it in. I made attempts to workout my complaints with Chris the Manager, but his attitude was like what are you complaining about. So I called to inform Chris that I would picking my truck. When I arrived I found my truck in the parking lot with the key placed on drive side window. Now I am working with my insurance company to get the repairs done by another shop. I will never use Caliber in San Juan Capistrano again, unless they change managers. Bud East read more

This is my 3rd auto repair here and it will be my last. The issue from the start is related to the lack of SERVICE RECOVERY skills of the service provider - Ben. Three experiences have caused me to believe there is no real concern for the customer: 1. After the initial estimate, I received 2 additional calls with small items not uncovered, which raised the cost. This would have been somewhat acceptable, had it been the only issue. 2. I called to check on the timing of the repair and was informed the part provider "didn't return their call". And now it would be an extra day, but certainly done by Tuesday of the next week. 3. I call on Wednesday (one day later) and am informed it will be ready in the afternoon! Great! I make plans to be there. I call at 2:00 just to make sure its going to be done, and I am told, no, it will now be Thursday at 4:00. All of these experiences simply ended with, "I'm sorry". The last one was unacceptable. Had I not called to check on the completion, I would have wasted my time and my ride's time only to be surprised. "I'm sorry", is for amateurs - Oh yes... Caliber Collision. I got in a car accident on 11/08/18 and my insurance wawanessa has horrible customer service they have not kept me on the loop on what is going on with my car. Luis at caliber has been on top of it and has kept me on the loop. Every time I call he is kind enough to take his time and explain the situation.
