You place an order online, pull up to the curb, tell a friendly employee your name, and they hand off that delicious (and sealed) bag to you. Favorite items here include: All White Rotisserie chicken (juicy), their heavenly mashed potatoes (that also come with gravy on the side) and the garden salad. Mostly because of the convenience of picking up ordered, I don't need to park, just pull up next to the window and give your name and your order is given while you're in your car! I ordered the rotisserie chicken to go, which I believe was brined beforehand. Unfortunately, it came out very salty, and that overpowered the flavor of the chicken itself. I enjoy seasoned food, but this leaned more toward overly brined than balanced. That said, the Chinese Cabbage was excellent. Fresh, crunchy, and really well done. The roasted potatoes were also very tasty, nicely seasoned and cooked just right. Overall, the sides saved the plate for me. I'd definitely order the coleslaw and potatoes again, but I'd probably skip the rotisserie chicken unless the salt level is adjusted. I liked that their website has a breakdown of all the ingredients for each item on their menu The cookie...was so soft yet chewy, had crispy edges and macadamia nuts with chocolate chips. walked in on a quiet Sunday evening and attempted to order a wrap. The girl behind the counter could not figure out how to take my card as payment-- first asking me to tap (my card does not have a tap feature) and could not even spell my name even after I spelled it for her! Pure laziness and lack of training! After several tries on her part, and her insisting I just "use another card" and even used a different portable machine *which I noted was low on battery and handed me my card to swipe it myself (umm do I work there? nope!), I gave up and told her to just cancel my order. She stared blankly back at me. Just a few days earlier, I was able to get a wrap there using the exact same form of payment and conforming to their portable payment machine just fine. User error? I think not. This speaks to a training issue and sheer laziness on the employee's part! Note: If you set your business up to be cashless and digitally based, please train your people properly and accordingly and make sure your equipment works! All I wanted was a wrap, after spending a long day at the hospital down the street. No doubt that this location gets lots of foot traffic from the hospital. Clean, fresh, healthy, simple, good food! Per my sister, she highly recommended the Green Goddess salad and I added chicken for an additional cost. Sooooo yummy! The salad was huge, enough for two meals. All meals were served in to go boxes, and I really appreciated how the radishes were cut (much easier to eat, I may need to cut them this way lol). The portions of all the vegetables and shredded chicken were generous. The homemade sourdough croutons were tasty and crunchy. To top it off, the green goddess dressing was vegan, even better. I'm a total fan of California Chicken! We were super excited to see one located on Hollywood Blvd on our way back to Silverlake. Since COVID, all Calif Chickens have become takeout only. This location has tables outside and we were lucky to snag one during the lunch rush. One of my favorite salads is the Green Goddess with added chicken. This is were I fell in love with vegan green goddess dressing. This salad is plentiful and includes lettuce, purple cabbage, sprouts, radishes, cucumbers, a 1/2 avocado, lemon, and the most delicious sourdough croutons. We also ordered the 1/4 rotisserie chicken which comes with the breast and two wings and a mini side of squash. The squash is made with minimal ingredients and includes only the squash itself and water. I pretty much enjoy everything on the menu. The Chinese chicken Salad and wrap are other favorites along with the rice wrap. All dressings come on the side. If you're in a hurry order ahead and pick up at the curb where they have a dedicated staff member. Parking was free in the residential area, but hard to find. read more

They serve rotisserie chicken, salads, wraps and sides with a taste of home cooking. I have walked pass by this spot for a long time but today was D day. I came on a nice slightly warm afternoon, I was greeted by Cristian & Carla, staff. I quickly perused their menu and ordered a chicken rice wrap x lemon juice. The food was bloody goooood! It's fresh, soft and flavorful. So good I momentarily forget my problems. Haha! And the lemon juice was worth the squeeze. They only have outdoor seats for customers. Atmosphere was relaxing. Service was spot on. Napkins were super smooth, light and have great quality material. Plenty of street parking. Prices were judiciously fair. Ordered my salad recommended by a coworker went with the California chicken salad and it was amazing for my dressing I chose ranch and green goddess. Hats off to California Chicken Cafe. I don't think I have ever had bad service here, no bad vibes, and always the cleanest tasting chicken. Came here with my wife for lunch after a doctor's appointment and as usual. HIT! We have never had a bad experience here and to keep it 100. My wife will have their Chinese chicken salad any day of the week. It's her favorite. Like I mentioned cleanest tasting chicken ever. No game, just pure protein. So they have parking on the side, if you're lucky you'll find a spot or just entering the driveway. This location has outside seating so you get to people watch bite after bite. You order upfront where the host is, and they have an amazing array of options. Our go to is the Chinese chicken salad which is always the bomb, Chinese chicken wrap which is my favorite cause there's pita wrapped around it and last a 3 piece. I ordered their Melrose Wrap which had a nice balance of vegetables, texture, creamy avocado, and chicken that paired well with Italian dressing. It was also wrapped in pita instead of a tortilla, which was a plus for me! Their lemonade was pretty good. Perfect amount of sweetness with fresh squeezed lemon taste. The food comes cleanly packaged. One thing is that they only have outside seating and you can enter the building for bathrooms only upon request. My work had a luncheon & ordered from Calif. I got the Melrose Wrap but was underwhelmed. It was plain & bland. Basically relied on the Italian dressing it came with to add flavor. Their salad was a winner. Beautiful packaging, huge portion & their green goddess dressing was delicious. I wish it came with more of it!! I also tried the mashed potatoes & roasted potatoes. I had a good experience at California Chicken Cafe. The customer service was good. The young lady taking my order was very nice. I ordered the Melrose wrap and a chocolate chip cookie. As a person who generally doesn't like cold wraps, I really enjoyed the Melrose. All the ingredients were fresh, the chicken was well seasoned, and the avocado added a nice touch. The cookie was really good as well. They only had outside seating available when I went and they are cashless, so you would need to use a card. Also, parking in this area can be tricky. So I opted to have them send me a text with a link to "online order." Sent them back a photo of my salad sans chicken, a screenshot of my online order reciept, and photo of my order tag that showed the add of HDC. No reply. No customer service. I know it's a measly $4.50 add on, but that was the only thing I was looking forward to on my small salad. Had I known you'd forget it, I would have ordered a different salad and not another side or wrap. Also, missing the green goddess side with the wrap. Food wise- wrap is a good size, a little dry. I actually really liked the food. I got the chicken Cesar salad. It's a really big salad and has a lot of shredded rotisserie chicken. The chicken was not dry, it was very soft and had flavor. My husband got the ranch wrap and he really enjoyed it as well. He said it had a good amount of filling. We got my 3 y/o the kids snack which was 2 chicken drumsticks and she devoured them both. We got 3 drinks. Total was about $35. The staff was also very friendly. Someone greeted us and took our order right away when we were ready. There is a small free parking lot right next door to the restaurant. They do NOT allow indoor seating. Everything is either take out or to go.
