As someone with celiac disease, I truly appreciated how seriously the staff took gluten safety here. John and Kaneen were both incredibly kind and careful about preventing cross contamination, which made me feel much more comfortable eating there. The salad was amazing, and their supportive and inclusive attitude made the whole experience even better. They also have nutritional information available along with a dressing ingredient list that clearly shows which dressings are gluten free, and that was very helpful. I do wish the menu itself identified which items are gluten free, especially the meats, because that would make ordering much less stressful for people with celiac disease. The staff did assure me the meat was okay, but I personally chose not to try it this visit. Overall, I left satisfied and grateful for the care and attention they gave to food safety. My boss got me hooked on this amazingly delicious restaurant with ordering it to be delivered as our lunch. I've passed by the downtown location but was on my way to an event. Well there's a brand new Simply Salad in Los Feliz and I had to go in and have lunch! Walking in this place was busy with guest eating and that made me so happy. Bright, well lit store. Fun writings on the wall and you have to option to order in person or from a kiosk. I had to order in person. Kaneen was friendly, fun and helped me decide to build my own salad. As Alexis made my salad I went to the restroom to was my hands. The restroom is well lit, clean fun artist's drawing on the wall and a super strong hand dryer. When I returned to the counter area my salad was ready. Can I tell you it was a great size and so delicious! Got a slice of pita with it. The menu has tons of vegan, vegetation and carnivore options. Had an appointment. At Kaiser and walked to this location (hollywood) 4 a simple salad . For $10 they should fill it up to the lid (not full bowl, I mean a head of lettuce is $2.24, a .10 cents, a sm. red onion .28 cents, a bad of crouton, $1.25 (Food 4 Less), a can of beets .79 cents.... Further, I don't appreciate the lettuce being exposed, especially when there was a fly buzzn' around (defuction of a star). They could get glass (fiber) doors and keep them shut until making an order. It's quiet inside & the bathroom was exceptionally clean (possibly due to a pass code being needed). There appear 2 b some great eateries in the area, i.e., tomatoes pies (pizza) on Hollywood Blvd., Leo's taco truck (in the JONS parking lot, as w/that ole Fatburger shack (if u can get in there)......& Quiznos sub. So glad this place opened close to my home. The service was excellent, and they have a large selection of salads. I ordered the " El Jefe" with the cilantro lime vinaigrette and was very pleased. Reasonable prices, I think my salad came out to around $15. You can get your salad in a wrap, and you can also build your own. They have a large selection of greens, topping and meats. If you are in a hurry I suggest you order ahead, as this place can get busy around lunch time. The restaurant is in walking distance to Kaiser, and Children's Hospital.
