I was greeted right away, told the lady from the counter my name and I'm here for pick up. Food was fine, as expected although over priced. Service was less than average. We were there on a Sunday. We ordered a pastrami on rye. Incredible. They also have fantastic smoothies. We had peanut butter with banana. It was great. The owner came out to talk with us and ended up joining us. It was really cool hearing his story of 19 years at the location. Reggie was an employee there and ended up purchasing the business. I worked in the same building as Reggie's and it was also a go to. 9.8/10 Super sweet and caring staff. Always started conversations and helped when I couldn't decide on what to get. Their menu is/was HUGE and felt very home like for a deli. It took me a while to get here and when I finally tired it I just thought to myself how long overdue it was. It's a simple place with a simple decor that largely serves and services the tenants of the large office building and neighbors of Los Feliz and Echo Park. What's not so simple is the food which is a whole notch above the type you typically find in these kind of places. The menu is large with a variety of sandwiches, salads, smoothies, and burritos. On this, my first time patronizing the place, I order the Veggie Burrito and a black coffee. The coffee is fine and, at $4.50, I'm happy with it because they allow refills. But it's the burrito I'm still thinking of-- served piping hot, full of fresh veggies, potatoes and eggs, doused in their homemade chipotle crema sauce, it is delicious and filling! I live in Hollywood some 5 miles away but man I'm in the mood for a repeat performance of this... so savory and good. I ended up trying the lunch combo which was $18 pretty steep in my opinion for half a sandwich and a medium tray of Caesar salad. The first bite I took made me notice that the bread was quite hard. As I continued to eat it, the contents were sliding out. I had also ordered a smoothie and was deciding between a lemon mint and a blueberry pineapple coconut. When I asked the worker what was better they didn't really offer much advice, not to mention many blank stares. I ended up getting blueberry pineapple coconut and that was quite good.
