I guess they're so desperate and going bankrupt that they have to gouge their loyal customers. They no longer offer vegetarian options so when you order a regular wrap without chicken, they still charge you the same price. It's really sad that it's come to this level of desperation. And then when you try to order online and within 30 seconds, you want to cancel or change the order because you made an honest mistake they refuse. You call up GrubHub's useless customer service and they can't do anything to help. There are a lot of other chicken places out there. read more

One of my favorite chains. Their salads are the best. Generous portions enough for two. Lots of veggie options as well. I like that you can warm your chicken for your salad if you prefer. I think there is a small fee for that. My favorite salad is the Cali Chinese Chicken salad. I used to go to the Santa Monica location all the time pre-Pandemic and ordered a few times from the hospital when front line personnel really couldn't leave station. My neighborhood location in Northridge does not have a dine in option. Order online for pickup or an delivery service for a fee determined by which service you pick. I used the curbside pickup this particular visit and it was easy. You pull into a parking slot and a staff member comes out to assist you. Great service every time. read more

I've officially had it with California Chicken Cafe. I placed a large order--three salads, two of which were supposed to come with hot dark meat (yes, the extra charge upgrade). What I received was beyond unacceptable. The hot dark meat came in a separate container--filled halfway at best. Not with juicy, flavorful pieces of dark meat, but with what looked like trimmings and scraps--dried-out, uneven bits that resembled leftovers they scraped together just to say they filled it. Meanwhile, the cold chicken salad? Loaded, generous, and what you'd actually expect from a place that isn't cutting corners like it's their full-time job. This is not a one-time slip-up. I've noticed the portions shrinking with every visit, but this was the last straw. Why is the "upgrade" noticeably smaller and lower quality than the standard option? Where is the logic in that? It feels like they're hoping customers won't notice--or won't bother complaining. I used to be a loyal fan of CCC. But it's clear now they've shifted into full-on cost-cutting mode while pretending nothing's changed. Portions are getting smaller, prices keep climbing, and what used to be a solid, reliable lunch spot is now a masterclass in customer disrespect. Pro tip: If you're craving overpriced scraps and enjoy paying more to get less, CCC is happy to serve you disappointment in a to-go container. Otherwise, save your money and your dignity--there are too many better options out there. read more

Yesterday was the second time I visited this location and I was really impressed by how fast and friendly the service was, there was some kind of work going on in the parking lot but they went out of the way to give an excellent service, I'd like to mention how the cashier Astrid was so understanding and made us feel so comfortable like if we were regulars. Pick up is the way to go! You can order ahead of time and it will be ready for you. The salads are massive, typically you can stretch this to at least two meals, maybe three if you are not super hungry. The potato mix of sweet and regular potatoes are delicious. I ordered delivery via Postmate's twice in the same week from this California Chicken Cafe location. I can't get enough of the combo wrap! I ordered mine with the whole wheat wrap, but they offer varying wrap types (regular/white, wheat, and even spinach!) It comes with chicken - duh - and avocado, tomato, lettuce, and dressing both on the wrap, and on the side. It comes cut in two, so I typically eat one half for lunch, and the second half for dinner. The second time I also ordered the Citrus Vanilla Green tea - it's unsweetened, but oh so good! Definitely one of my go-to spots for healthy food! read more

Slightly much better service this time! Decided to come here this evening on a pouring night, for dinner. We pulled into the Drive Up spot and the young lady came up to my car. I told her that we were going to quickly place our order and she asked for my name so that she can keep an eye out for it. Took us a few minutes because the log in was being weird and then I had to add the items to the cart AND add the promo code they provided from my last order. For whatever reason, the checkout was being weird because the time I chose for pick up was "unavailable" by the time I was at the last part. Had to go back and adjust it by adding 5 minutes which seemed weird. The lady came back a few times before I finally checked out to make sure I was still good. Finally, when I was done placing my order, she told us she would rush it for us and that it would only take about 5 minutes which was awesome! I made sure to add every single note: "please don't forget the extra Caesar dressing" so that it didn't get missed. Normally these wraps come with a complimentary one so I ask for an extra one to get a total of 2. I still only got one this time which was frustrating and not sure why the workers keep missing it. Why have the option of adding extra sauce for a few dollars and not even adding the complimentary one? I'm not paying double for another one when I should have two total.. oh well. Interesting concept as it's carry out only. Friendly service and it takes about 15 minutes for the orders to be prepared. They have plenty of chairs as you wait for the orders The chicken was very moist, well cooked and very tasty. However the portions are small. I purchased 1/2 a chicken for $11 dollars and the chicken looked more like a Cornish hen. Would I try it again? Pollo Loco has a 3 piece meal with two sides and tortillas for around the same price, so not sure. read more

CCC is one of my favorite restaurants. Their food is delicious and fresh, and perfect for a vegetarian. I love the ability to customize my wraps and salads. The knly negative is the prices. I understand most places have increased their prices but the wraps used to be cheaper, and I could add on a side for like $1.50. Now, it's almost $25 for a wrap and a side. For that reason, I get it less frequently, but I still love the food. It's interesting that they went to pickup only, but I don't mind that.
