A HUGE RAVE to California Collision in Pleasanton!! I fell over on my beloved Vespa a few weeks ago and NOBODY will do bodywork or paint work in them in the area. Well George at California Collision said he would give it a try even though his shop had never done one before. It's BEAUTIFUL. They kept in communication the whole time, the work is absolutely amazing, and they restored my little 2004 ET4 Vespa back to prettier than it was off the showroom floor. (And he even painted my new black side mirrors to make sure they matched!!) What an AMAZING company. They do SUCH GOOD WORK, and have fixed all our cars and our family and friends for years... but they went out of the way to make a repeat customer happy with something off the "normal" repair. A few months ago I brought my Mini Cooper to a body shop in Castro Valley to repair some damage that was caused by flying debris from an accident on the freeway. What a mistake that was! Not being happy with their work, I brought it to California Collision in Pleasanton and WOW, did they do a fantastic job. Not only did they undo the terrible job the other body shop did, they went above and beyond and restored my car to its original look! Both George and Giovanni are extremely pleasant to work! As he promised, Giovanni kept me apprised of what stage the car was in as the repairs were being done. When the car was ready, they offered to deliver the car to me or pick me up. Rude. I was asked to submit photos to get estimation. Once submitted I received a reply from business by an email asking for more details. I specified my concerns and asked for more questions. Eventually the person got annoyed and said the shop is closed and I should call on Monday to get my answers, mentioning I am cutting off their free time. I did not mean to intrude into anyone's life! For the same reason I chose email as a communication channel instead of the phone. I did not at any point demand an answer to my emails right away. And now I feel like cr*p. This is going to be extremely long but it's worth the read. California Collision is a life saver. I got into a sticky situation not paying attention to the road and hit a tree on the front right side of my car. I didn't have proper insurance and knew it was going to be extremely impossible to come up with the money to get it repaired. At a glance to me the damage was bad but it could have been worse, but the amount of money required to fix it, all out of pocket, would have been multiple thousands. I had my car towed to California Collision and spoke to Allison the next morning on getting an estimate and seeing what could be done. I was recently going through it and had been living in my car so the last thing I needed was to go ahead and crash it into a tree.. Allison was a huge help and became a friend during the entire process. She made my situation a lot better. She went and spoke to her boss, the owner George, and he requested to meet me in person. After a short conversation he told me I wouldn't have to worry about paying the labour fees. I would just for the parts. And when I tell you I cried, I mean it. I am extremely grateful for their service and will always remember them. They fixed my car within a week and a half and a few days sooner than was expected. Allison constantly kept me updated and we were working out a payment plan, something they don't usually offer. When I went to go pick my car up I was excited and nervous. I was worried about how I was going to come up with the money for the parts but excited I could finally have my car back in working condition. When I got there I was overly happy with the results it was unreal. It was better than before the incident. They don't play around when it comes to body repairs. I was getting ready to put down a small deposit towards my payment plan and voiced my concerns on how we would go about setting up some type of automatic payment since I'm leaving for Naval boot camp at the end of the month and won't be able to manually send them my payments. Allison informed me that they had a surprise for me, I wouldn't be required to pay anything for their services. When I tell you I cried, this time it was definitely an ugly cry. So much stress just disappeared. Their work is exceptional. I appreciate everything they do and I know if I ever find myself back in California and in need of body work they will be my go to from now on. I owe them so much and have no idea how I'll be able to fully show my appreciation for their work. Absolutely the best experience I've had with an auto shop. I called them after calling a few auto body shops to get quotes for my car, and they were the most personable people. They fixed everything within a week, and a half of the initial inquiry phone call, got me a quote within a few hours, didn't upcharge me (which usually seems to happen at auto repair shops), and even worked around my budget when I told them I wanted to pay without insurance. This is the BEST customer service I've ever encountered and all the people who work here are very nice and accommodating. Klebber and the entire team was great to work with and kept me updated along the way. My 2014 Jeep Wrangler with aftermarket equipment was damaged - bumper, front hood, side fender and fender flare. The finished work was outstanding, paint was a complete match and the gaps were all consistent. And they even installed some of the aftermarket items I had back on the bumper. Due to a couple of accidents this past year, I obviously and unfortunately had to bring my vehicle in for repairs, so I know it can be frustrating just trying to find a good reputable repair shop. If I were to compare the other local collision centers to this one over the last ten years, I'd say California Collision is tops! Now, I've gone to others like B&S and Cooks, but was never 100% satisfied. I mean, when you get your car back, it'll never have that new feel again. But when I got my car back from those guys, there was always something that just felt a bit off. Whether if it was a hood not latching on properly, or a tube missing, or closing a door that doesn't sound right, yeah that's pretty much how I felt after bringing my vehicle to the others. Twice I brought my vehicle here, and twice I was helped by Allison who made my frustrations and the inconvenience of this whole process "go away". From initial inquiry to final presentation, she helped coordinate things with insurance, repairs, and follow ups. I didn't think to write up a review, but when it came down to the very end when my truck was ready to get picked up, Allison showed me over one hundred pictures of my truck getting repaired and why the job took so long; Parts that were removed and fixed, panels that were painted, etc. I felt they wanted to make things right. With my past experiences and dealing with their competitors, they just saw me as another number, did a quick fix, and let me go unsatisfied. In short, with my second accident being worse than the first. I came away from here searching for flaws in my truck within a few weeks, but didn't really didn't find any. On Wednesday, I contacted California Collision when I was in a state of panic after I had damaged my driver-side view mirror on my Fiat 500e while I was driving to work that morning. In July 2023 I totally screwed up and made a big dent in the tailgate of my truck. So I went to 3 different shops for estimates and I choose California Collision (CC). Their price was $1000 less than any other shop but that wasn't the main reason I selected them and worked with Giovanni. I take pride in my vehicles and it was important to me that the repair was done right. CC decided that the best way to repair my mishap was to pound it out. I was concerned that excessive filler would be used and they assured me that would not be the case. They were so concerned that I was completely comfortable with their work they had the lead body and fender person come out, look at the job, and he assured me he could pound this out and make it look perfect. Upon completion they showed me photos of the job step by step and in fact very little filler was used to skim coat the sanding marks. Before returning the truck to me, they washed and buffed the entire vehicle. I looked like it came off the show room floor. It was perfect. I can't say enough about this company. Their professionalism, respect to their customers, and quality of work. I purposely waited until now, Dec 2023, to write this review and I'm just as pleased with the work as the day I picked it up. This review is about two things: Yelps incredibly convenient Request A Quote feature, and the amazing establishment it led me to earlier this week - California Collision in Pleasanton. I absent mindedly scraped the front edge of my car two evenings ago, and a couple of plastic thjngamajigs popped out. The damage was minor, not worth filing an insurance claim for, and I was planning to ignore it. My better half, knowing that driving around with a loose bumper would slowly drive me insane, suggested a couple of local car repair shops I could call for a quote, including California Collision. The next morning, after dropping my daughter off to school, I got on the Yelp page for California Collision and noticed the "request a quote" feature. So I wrote a short description, uploaded a couple of pictures of the damage and the plastic thingamajigs, and hit Send. Rinse, wash, repeat for the second repair shop my wife had found for me. That's when the fun started - the Yelp app suggested 10 other shops which could also help. I picked the best three and hit send - the whole exercise took less than 5 minutes. Within ten minutes, I had heard back from George from California Collision and the three repair shops Yelp suggested (the second local repair shop still hasn't responded). California Collision had the most comprehensive response and the most reasonable price, plus they were local. So I let the other three repair shops (in Hayward, Fremont and Sunnyvale) know I was still shopping around and was likely going to stay local, then called California Collision to make an appointment. Then things unfolded like clockwork: - 8:25 am - Kayla answers the phone, listens to my story, and calls me back with a time to bring my car in later that day. - 11:35 am - I stroll into California Collision and check in with Kayla. She pulls in Sean, who looks at the damage and agrees to honor the original, extremely reasonable, quote I'd been given that morning by George. I proceed to hang out on one of the cool leather sofas inside. - 12:15 pm - I drive away, the damage having been repaired, the paperwork taken of, feeling on top of the World! Not sure where to start? I took my car in for some body work and ended up getting threatened and also told me he would try and get me fired at my place of work Because he knows people? Also I have pictures of that Email. I took my car In for an estimate on a Tuesday they said they'll get to when they can. A few days went by they said they'll get to it next Monday for X-ray estimate. By then I just told them I wanna pick it up. I had a bad vibe and read the hidden reviews he has on Yelp so sure enough I was a a victim of a body shop bully. George said to me that's fine you can pick it up but it will cost little over $1k for them Doing an estimate and the storage. So right off jump street I knew the work would be a problem since there was already friction. So they were holding the car hostage. i wasn't about to pay them $1k for nothing. So proceeded with the work. Honesty i don't even know how they are in business the work turned out so bad i had 3 other shops say the same thing. Horrible Body shop and we're sorry for what you went through. The threats were another thing, telling me if I don't take the Yelp ad down you'll have trouble coming your way. also said I'll do my best to get you fired since he knew where I worked. So I reached out to BAR they took over. We our currently waiting on some more feedback. But stay far away from this shop just look at the hidden reviews I'm not the 1st to go through this. He was friendly, responsive, explained every part of the repair and process to us and his communication was everything! The entire staff there was amazing and super friendly and polite. My brand new car had to be in the shop because I was a dummy and decided to hit a cement Pilar in a parking garage. The Pilar won. Haha This left us with a good amount of damage. Ruben and his team communicated with our insurance company for us and it was all a very easy process. Once the car was finished. The car was perfect and clean and it was like getting a brand new car delivery all over again. We recently had our brand new Acura rear ended on 580-E. I looked up for a body repair near me and California Collision came up on top, I bet for all the right reasons. The staff is professional, personable and very courteous. I personally dealt with George Osorio and Klebber (forget his last name) , and I can't say enough good words about them. From the time I checked in to the time I received my car, the whole experience has been seamless. Unfortunately though, the parts needed for the repair were back ordered, and I had to wait for 6 months. I initially went to drop the car off and asked my friend to pick me up an hour later, as this was our primary car. While I was waiting there, they booked me an Uber back. I wasn't expecting that, as that is not common at other places I have been to before. The checkin and inspection was very thorough. Klebber took notes of all the places that got impacted and I was also notified of some hidden damage to the exhaust. All throughout the waiting period for the back ordered parts, I kept receiving regular updates on the status and weekly updates on the status of the repair once the parts arrived. On the day of the pickup, I got a thorough run down of all the repairs done and Klebber showed me the photos of the repair and what was done. Overall great experience.
