Most concerning, after they came for the consultation and took measurements, I emailed them links to the items I planned to purchase to ask if they were okay. They replied, "Everything looks good." so I purchased them. The bathtub did fit and was put in place, but the enclosure panels did not. They then asked for full payment with no intention of installing the enclosure panels, which is why we requested a reduction in price. 2) They left without telling us and left BOTH DOORS of my garage open. We found our cat wandering the streets, thankfully not lost or dead, and no one broke in before we discovered the open doors. I gave them that feedback, and their reply was, "We didn't know you had a cat." I can only conclude based on their response that if you do not have pets, they think it is okay to leave your home open to the public. You get what you pay for. If you're willing to compromise your safety for a job done by people who clearly have zero respect for you, your safety, and your home, these are your guys.

After getting quotes from four different plumbing companies for a whole-house repipe, we decided to…read morego with Good Guy Plumbing, and several months after the project was completed, I can confidently say we made the right choice. Our home was built in 1975, so this was much more than a standard repipe. Because of asbestos-containing materials in the house, the project involved asbestos testing, asbestos abatement, the repipe itself, and then coordinating repairs for drywall, popcorn ceilings, and exterior stucco afterward. There were multiple contractors involved and a lot of moving parts. What really set Good Guy Plumbing apart was that they took ownership of the process and helped coordinate many of the pieces along the way. While other companies focused only on the plumbing scope, Rob and his team understood the bigger picture and helped us navigate a project that was far more complex than simply replacing pipes. Rob was fantastic throughout the entire process. This was a long project with a lot of changing variables, and whenever issues came up, he was quick to provide options, explain the tradeoffs, and help us make informed decisions. At no point did we feel like we were being pressured into anything. He was responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about helping us get the project completed successfully. One additional challenge was that I was coordinating the entire project remotely from San Francisco while my parents, who are both in their 90s, were living in the house. I couldn't be there in person, so having a team I could trust was incredibly important. Danny, who led the plumbing work, was outstanding. He was professional, patient, kind, and took the time to explain everything clearly to my parents. Knowing that he was there helping them understand what was happening gave me tremendous peace of mind while managing the project from several hundred miles away. I also want to recognize Marisa in the office. She was incredibly responsive throughout the project and always quick to answer questions, coordinate scheduling, and help keep everything moving. Having a reliable point of contact made a huge difference. The repipe passed inspection, everything was completed successfully, and several months later the plumbing is working great. I highly recommend Good Guy Plumbing to anyone considering a repipe, especially if you have an older home with additional complexities. Rob, Danny, Marisa, and the entire team were professional, trustworthy, and a pleasure to work with from start to finish.

Jose answered and set me up with Rolando. Rolando came on Thursday. He discovered that the Drain Pipe going to the main line was completely clogged. This pipe was underneath the house at the crawlspace. He also discovered that shower was leaking from the top level to the crawlspace. He stated that the grout is cracked causing the water to seep in and out. He quoted me $1700 to fix everything. Meaning changing and replacing the clogged shower drain pipe to the main pipe. Regrouting the shower tiles. I agreed, set up the 2nd schedule for Friday 03.06.2026. Rolando took about 4 to 5 hours to fix everything. He was a young man with experience. Changed drain pipe and regrouted! I dont know much about piping. I am ignorant when it comes to pricing. It just had to get done. I had no time for 2nd quotes. Finger crossed I wasn't overcharged lol. Overall, I would call back for piping service. This is the 2nd time I called this company. First time was my kitchen sink that was clogged. The good thing is I have 90 days of warranty from the time of fix. I really dont know if I still have problems to call back the plumber. The only way to really find out is to crawl underneath the house. Overall, pleased with uncertainty. So far so good.

Out of the blue, Robert tells me that for NEW customers they will only accept cash payment of a non-refundable cash deposit of $500. I even asked Robert why he as punishing me to which he said that he wasn't punishing me. VERY STRANGE! 3 days ago Robert said that the job should cost around $300 depending on what they may find is the fix. The problem with the plumbing is that (1) Kitchen Drain Line is stopped up before getting to the Main Line. This unit is within a smaller building of (6) total units and none of the other units plumbing is stopped and the other drain lines within the affected unit (Bathroom Toilet, Sink, Tub) are NOT stopped up. I offered to pay via Credit Card or even Zelle! (As most people know, Zelle is almost immediate and you can't even take the payment back once it is accepted by the other party.) I then called my Attorney to see if they can really do this and he stated the following- In California, a contractor can legally ask for a maximum upfront payment of $1,000 or 10% of the total project cost, whichever is less on home improvement contracts, as per state law restrictions set by the Contractors State License Board (CSLB). My Attorney then advised me to submit a complaint against this unscrupulous company, which I will do, since I am confident that this company will probably continue to do this to many others... It will be interesting to see how the Contractors Board reacts to this complaint... I will keep everyone posted. Thanks for reading this review.
