I don't even know when CPK snuck in and opened in Encinitas. It seems like a smaller footprint than a normal CPK but decent size for the area. Service was a little uneven, sometimes lots of check ins and water refills but took forever to get the check. Great lunch special for about $15 for a 7" pizza duo with soup or salad. I got the burnt end pizza and thai chicken salad. The pizza was a little dry, maybe more cheese or sauce. The salad was very crunchy, lot of peanuts and cabbage. It was also a bit overdressed. My friend liked her mushroom, pepperoni and sausage pizza and her Caesar salad was overdressed and covered in too much parmesan. The space is new, clean and very comfortable. The parking lot is hit and miss with lots of eateries in a small lot with small parking spaces. If you sign up for their rewards program you get a free appetizer. We got the Buffalo cauliflower which was okay, again heavily sauced so it was soggy. But hey, it was free!

When I first stepped into a California Pizza Kitchen (CPK), I was an awe. I thought to myself..."This is an upgrade from the usual pizza shop". The staff/waiters were absolutely marrrvelous at the same time very professional creating a welcoming environment. And importantly, the food/drinks were absolutely deeelicious at a reasonable price...sooo many menu options. I'm definitely a CPK fan! I just looove CPK's innovative and creative California-style pizzas. If you didn't know...this is where the "original" BBQ Chicken Pizza came from. On the healthier note, it also has gluten-free crust, cauliflower crust, and healthful power bowls which are awesome additions in the pizza world. I highly recommend this location to the Yelp Community :-)

I had some time to kill between appointments and I had recently been to CPK so I knew I wanted to grab a snack there. I arrived about 4 o'clock. I think it was happy hour, and it was pretty quiet to start. Edgar the bartender greeted me. I sat at the bar and ordered a strawberry mango cooler, which doesn't contain alcohol. I also ordered chips and guacamole. The cooler was super sweet so I probably would order something else next time. The chips and guacamole were really good. The guacamole was super fresh and it had sliced jalapeños in it that you could easily pick out if you don't like spice, but I do like the spice and I enjoyed it a lot.. When I left, quite a few people had come in for happy hour and it was a fun, festive atmosphere. You can sit partially outside which is also nice! I'm so happy CPK is in my neighborhood. They quietly opened in November 2025, but I only just found out recently. I have enjoyed their salads a lot in the past (amongst other things) so I look forward to coming back for lunch or happy hour.

It's been a very long while since I've been to a California pizza kitchen, I came for lunch and they happened to have a lunch special with a choice of a pizza & a side salad or soup it was yummy I chose an italian salad & mushroom sausage pepperoni pizza and my friend got the tha chicken salad with bbq pizza

Great food and friendly waitstaff! They have a nice variety on their menu and the food is tasty and the service was good. I had the West Coast Burger Bowl which had the best burger I have had in a long time; served on a bed of lettuce with avocado at 40g of protein. And don't forget to try the Butter Cake; I told the manager it should be illegal it was so yummy. They are in the old Corner Bakery location near Habit and Trader Joe's. I highly recommend them as another food restaurant in Encinitas!

Came in early for a drink before an event. Inside was clean, I sat at the bar and was greeted. Drink was made quickly and tasted good. Menu had some good options on it.

Yay!!! We FINALLY have our own CPK in North County again!! Here we are, the second day of opening and I'm SO excited. Everything is new - the restaurant is full of people, excited servers and there's a good buzz going on. Of course with every new restaurant there are hiccups, and we had a few, but pack your patience while they get their procedures down. HAPPY HOUR: M-F 3-6pm (close to 50% off drinks as well as a good choice of apps) That's a great deal! My Dinner: (Happy Hour apps) - Spicy Buffalo Cauliflower - try these they're so good! You almost wouldn't know it's a vegetable. There's a tasty Sriracha buffalo sauce that has a nice spice to it but the Gorgonzola cheese and greens (celery, cilantro and scallions) work well to balance the taste/heat. - Szechuan Chicken Dumplings - These are ok. Yummy with a sweet sauce. But my favorite is the cauliflower. Hubby got the $9 - 7-in Pizza + Draft Beer Happy Hour Special. The pizza is a small one but had a good amount of pepperoni on it and he said it was wonderful. In fact, his plan next time is to get TWO of these and that'd be a meal (2 pizzas and 2 beers for $18 is a great deal) For dessert, we got the Upside Down Berry Cheesecake and since they now have hot fudge, we got that on the side. The cheesecake itself is pretty light (I've had better) - the berries really make the dish. Now you add the warm fudge and BOOM! We'll definitely try the new Churro Swirl next time. Shout out to MIA, our waitress - she's super sweet and really worked hard to make our dinner awesome. Thank you!! TAKE OUT: If you don't have time to come in, the take-out is easy on the website or app. They have a whole counter at the back of the restaurant just for that. There were SO many orders last night, I was watching. It was really impressive. Again, we're so happy CPK opened in North County. Everybody in your family can find something they like here. Our 2 boys grew up going to the Solana Beach location - it was always an easy, please-all outing for our family. Come!!!

Just saw it was open and decided to stop in. It was astoundingly amazing with the excellent service considering it was only open two weeks. It was some of the more attentive service I've ever had in Encinitas. Nice decor may be a little too brightly lit, but a nice bar there as well. All the food is the usual CPK standard. We just had a pizza and tried the new crispy Chinese wonton salad, which was just excellent. They also have a really cool selection of nonalcoholic drinks, which I love. Can't complain and really enjoyed having CPK back in our area. We will definitely be back again.

CPK is fine overall, pretty average experience food wise. 2 pizzas and a salad for $70.

Had $50 gift card and claimed they could only take off $8 in food.

They were clearly short staffed on Father's Day, so I allowed for that. However, when you're sitting there forever and 3 wait staff are going by you several times and can't even say "someone will be with you shortly ".....not a word. Funny thing is the patios were fairly empty. We would have left, but again we've loved the food here for 14 years so hung in there. Then big mistake was sitting across from the pizza oven! The hostess, who I have to say is an amazing employee, she was literally doing everything. Seating people, cleaning tables, answering the phone, cleaning the stuff off the pizza area, bringing clean pans, getting drinks, etc. BUT she was using those nasty old rags to clean the table, touching the cash register etc., never washed her hands and then she was grabbing handfuls of the fresh basil and ripping pieces and putting them on the pizza, then posting the pizza with her fingers to maybe check it wasn't burned on the bottom? I was literally dying watching this, I'm not even a germaphobe. Then I watched the other waiter who wears dirty baggy jeans wipe his hands in his pants and also manhandle the basil in the same way. So gross. I saw another party get mad because the pizza was not cut, they asked for it to be cut again....and then got angry because they still had to tear at it and everything fell off. When our pizza came....it was the same, but we dealt with it. We ALWAYS get the Butterscotch pudding, but at this point we just wanted out. Had to wait forever to ask for a box and check. I'll miss the old Blue Ribbon as I miss Craftsman sadly, but there are others with actual service, we gave them a chance the last time it was bad, but this is the 2nd and done!

I ordered French Fries, Burrata Caprese Salad, Pepperoni Pesto Ricotta Pizza, Burrata Sausage and Hot Honey Pizza ( Detroit Style) and Pesto Burrata Chicken Sandwich ( substituted sun dried tomatoes for regular tomato slices). Everyone enjoyed all the food. The favorite hands down was the Detroit Style Hot Honey Pizza. It was very rich and I had a small piece which was very filling. The crust was crispy and the flavor was layered perfectly with the hot honey. 10/10! I must also say that the French Fries being fried in beef tallow really enhanced their flavor. Perfect. Will definitely try more things from their menu. It ranks among my top 3 Pizza Restaurants.

Carly was our bartender/server for the day and she was fantastic. The tap list is pretty good, but they do not offer a hard seltzer. Kombucha and cider, yes, but they're not the same, so Becky had to settle for a beer which is never ideal. We were just there for a couple of drinks but I did check out the menu, and the Burrata Sausage Hot Honey pizza caught my eye, (mozzarella, homemade marinara, burrata, sausage, hot honey). I could not get that out of my head. We were camping across the 101 at San Elijo State Beach so I told Becky that we had to return. I needed that slice! The following day we returned for a light lunch. We ordered at the counter and took our number to our table on the patio. About five minutes later our food was delivered. That slice was everything I thought it would be and more! The thin crust was crispy and light. The sausage was exceptional. The hot honey was actually hot! Too many times hot honey is just honey. This was as advertised. Becky chose a slice of Pepperoni (tomato sauce topped with pepperoni, provolone, and mozzerella) Also a great slice. The provolone was a game changer and the sauce was delectable. excellent pizza! Everything was great! The bbq chicken was flavorful and had a great balance of bbq sauce and chicken. The crust was nice and crunchy on the outside yet soft and chewy on the inside. The size is perfect for a party of 2-3! The kids pizza was a perfect size for my toddler who didn't finish it all but was very happy with the taste. They definitely don't hold back on the cheese!! So if you like cheesy pizza, this is the spot for you! Vibes/Ambiance : 7/10 We came on a Tuesday evening and there was a lot of people! I definitely can tell this place is a go to for sports events or just gatherings. The place itself is cute. The decor is a little funky yet modern in design. I will say the seating is a bit crowded and it feels a bit claustrophobic. The tables are very close to each other and the tables are small. This place having a bar is a major plus and the variety of drinks is huge! Such a great spot. The service was quick and they were very nice. The gentleman in the front was super welcoming and friendly. I will say, as someone who was only a visitor, Carlsbad doesn't seem too friendly overall. People seem very standoff ish and unwelcoming so the places we did go to that had friendly people really stood out. This place was one of them. If we're ever in town again, we'll definitely go back!
