Our first time dining at a Bonefish Grill. We had booked a reservation to attend their Tides and Vines Wine Dinner. We mistakenly booked another Bonefish Grill location. Thankfully, Manager Eric Johnson was nearby and was able to accommodate us and let us attend the event at their restaurant. Eric made us feel welcomed and was a very gracious host. Thank you Eric! A wonderful restaurant, food and atmosphere are superb. Staff is courteous, personable and very professional. The chef was spot on with their presentation and flavoring of the food. I've been here a few times in recent months and the experience was usually pretty good. My latest visit on a Friday for happy hour didn't go so good. I sat at the bar which had a few empty seats. The $7 paper plane martini was very good. I ordered the stuffed unicorn fish entree to try something different. Menu lists stuffed with cheeses, and with lemon sauce & capers, and it comes with rice and vegetable. The first taste of the fish did not impress, and it wasn't stuffed. The side dishes were good. After moving the sauce around the fish I saw it was pink on top. Obviously undercooked fish should never leave the kitchen. This is a restaurant known for seafood! I called the bartender over and she got the manager. He was apologetic and offered me something else on him and a complimentary cocktail while I waited. I thanked him and asked for the small filet with rice and vegetable sides. I also had the smoked old fashioned which was very good. The filet was great and cooked as ordered, med rare. I really liked the sauce and the sides of rice and asparagus. What started out disappointing turned out to be a great meal. Prices here are reasonable and some are really a great deal. Was invited to a dinner seminar at Bonefish Grill and got to try this location. There is a good size bar to the left near the entrance and plenty of well-spaced dining tables. Our private room is close to the entrance and can fit about twenty people comfortably. All the servers were very nice, attentive, and pleasant. We were served fresh warm bread with an olive oil dip, a Bonefish House Salad, choice of Shrimp Skewer with Lemon Butter, Bone-In Pork Chop, or Lily's Chicken. Dessert was Macadamia Nut Brownie. The House Salad was really good and had a variety of ingredients: pine nuts, hearts of palm, Kalamata olives, lettuce, and cherry tomatoes in a citrus herb vinaigrette. For our main course I got the Shrimp Skewer with Lemon Butter and my husband had their Bone-In Pork Chop. Both were served with mashed potatoes. The shrimps were very tasty and plentiful (there were ten of them), but a bit too salty. The pork chop was really well-cooked, tasty and extremely tender. Unfortunately, it was also pretty salty. We were greeted immediately by our server Ken. He was very nice and attentive to our needs. We sat in the back of the restaurant. First time sitting there. The atmosphere was not what we are used to but nice anyway. He took our drink orders and they came out right away. Cosmo was too sweet. Martini was too tart. But, that is not Ken's fault. The food came out quick and hot. The Bang Bang Shrimp is our favorite. The Bangin Chicken was a nice portion. The Ahi Won Ton Crisps were very good. Overall, a nice experience and evening. Very disappointing experience. We were seated promptly, but then waited about 10 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. A large party nearby was being attended to by multiple staff members, which we understand can require extra attention, but no one stopped by our table, greeted us, offered water, or even let us know they would be with us shortly. The food came out pretty slowly, but the manager comp'ed us some soup to make up for it. The food honestly was just meh. Not a lot of flavor. I ordered the grilled salmon with double mashed potatoes and a house salad. My husband ordered the sea bass with mashed potatoes and French fries with the lobster corn chowder. Was around the area and gave Bonefish Grill a go. Came in for a late lunch so it was not busy at all. Was able to get a table right away. The server was friendly and helpful with my questions. I decided to go with the steak & crab cake entree with a side of Cesar salad. I upgraded my steak to a filet mignon. The steak was cooked to a great temperature. Service: Server was nice but overall slow and large gaps of time where we had zero attention. Food: I'm used to a certain standard here but today was not good. Salmon was good, fish and chips were fine, key lime cake and salad weren't even edible. Meh very disappointing. Even the bang bang shrimp was lacking something we couldn't put our finger on. Then we were charged for extra bread that we didn't recieve and another $1 fee for salad so we had to send back the receipt. We asked for a discount since I did not get my 2nd side item but they didn't give us anything so I had to ask a 2nd time! Bonefish Grill in W. Charleston is a favorite local restaurant. Happy hour and their Wednesday Bang Bang Shrimp is delicious. A few years ago, larger shrimp and a tad crispier. Still over a dozen smaller size and still delicious. I had the Ahi Wonton Crisps. Portions is great 6 large wontons with the fresh seared Ahi Tuna and trimmings. Loved it and had it twice in a month! Make sure they don't add too much sauce. First time was perfect. We had crab cakes and a salad too. Great place to bring family, friends, or sit at the bar and for a "treat yourself"evening with a glass of wine at Happy Hour! Cannot go wrong and each time staff has been wonderful. Ordered a caesar salad, no dressing,,had to request more. Bourbon salmon was extremely overcooked, after waiting 36 minutes. Took 4 bites and had three bones. Returned it and ordered lump crab cakes, barely a bit of crab and all bread. Waiter said they changed the recipe. We are still eating our very mediocre food here and have agreed as a family to never come here again. We very rarely eat here... because it's not very good. My wife had a gift card though, so here we are eating lousy fish. Check out the picture of the specials! That they would give something that looks like this to a customer is super fail. Being recent transplants to Las Vegas, finding a good restaurant can be overwhelming. We had passed Bone Fish Grill several times and told my wife we should try it. We'll tonight was the night. The hostesses were warm and welcoming. After being seated we were introduced to Justin. He was an absolute delight. He was knowledgeable about the menu and specials and had a warm upbeat personality. He got our drinks and gave us their incredible artisan bread, with oil and pesto. We started with the Bang-bang shrimp which was AMAZING! I had the Mediterranean Bacon Jam filet, and the wife had The cold water twin lobster tails. We were both extremely pleased with our dinners and impeccable service! Addendum: I received a personal call from the operator who listened to my frustrations and very kindly offered to make it right. This is why I will continue to patronize Bonefish Grill! I ordered a fish and chips dinner today. First of all, I noticed what a small container they had put three pieces of fish in and it looked like there were no fries! I opened it at the store and saw there was a small amount of fries under the fish. At home, the fish was soggy from sitting on the fries and vice versa! They literally gave me a serving of Cole slaw in a SAUCE cup! The counter girl had gotten me two extra tartar sauce cups and served Matt offered to get me more fries, but I said it was ok. I did get a small loaf of bread and a sauce cup of the dipping sauce. This lunch cost over $22 without the tip. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I made reservations tonight for 7 people at 6:30 and when we walked in the table was ready for us. We were greeted warmly and then promptly brought drinks. Our server was awesome. She gave us time to settle in look at the menu and chat a little bit before taking our orders. We got two apps to begin with the potstickers and the crabcakes. Which both came out pretty fast and hot. The flavors of the potstickers were really good very flavorful with the ginger and a little bit of heat. The slaw that's on it is also very fresh and had little chunks of cucumber in it that made it refreshing. The crabcakes were very flaky and moist. We had the sauce on the side which was nice because you got to try the actual crab cake without it being drowned under the sauce. For mains some of us got the Filet Thermidor special, which was steak with a lobster thermidor sauce on top with Parmesan risotto and fresh green beans. The sauce on the steak was very good, lots of chunks of lobster in it. The steak was cooked very well. The green beans were crispy and tasty and the Parmesan risottos had pesto on top and also a little chili flakes. It was rich and creamy and slightly spicy. I got the Lilys Chicken which had artichoke hearts, goat cheese and spinach in a light cream sauce and a side of kung pao brussel sprouts. The chicken was one of my favorites. It was well cooked and moist and the cheese added a nice balance to it. The brussel sprouts were awesome. Slightly spicy but not overly so and tender. Everything was really good. The service was awesome, the food was great and the company fantastic It was a great pick to meet up with family during the holidays. read more

I stopped by for happy hour. I've only been here once for dinner. I didn't know that they offered happy hour. My waiter was Dylan. I started with a pineapple martini. It was so delicious I had two. My appetizer was the bang bang shrimp perfectly cooked and Very tasty. I ordered Kung pau brussels sprouts, the atmosphere was a family vibe around 5 PM It started to get busy. I ordered two entrees that didn't turn out so great but my waiter notice that I wasn't eating much and came over to speak with me about it and the manager of the restaurant visit my table to see if I would like another entrée. I am very impressed with the service even though the entree didn't turn out great for me Dylan was attentive and asked the manager to remove those items from my bill. Today may have been just an off day for the chef, but the customer service was on point and I will return again and again because the staff made it all about my experience. How did a vegan end up here?! Well, let me tell you about my experience! We were celebrating my husband's birthday and we have lived in Vegas for a few years and had never tried Bonefish Grill yet. We're total foodies and love to try new places! There's usually one catch though - I'm vegan and he's not. I glanced at the menu and saw the rice and seasonal vegetables as sides and thought - this could work. I called the restaurant and the host was super helpful, as she placed me on hold to ask the kitchen if the rice and vegetables could be made vegan, in which she replied that they could be. We made our reservation and came in on a busy, Saturday night. The waitress also assured me that the Chimichurri and Thai Basil Sauce on the side and over my rice and vegetable bowl was vegan. I was also given a side of soy sauce per my request, as I wasn't sure how seasoned my dish would be. To my surprise, it had a nice sesame oil and Thai Basil dressing over my bountiful plate of vegetables and rice. It was delicious! I mixed in the Chimichurri Sauce and it was devoured! I was also told the bread was vegan as well. I really enjoyed how attentive the staff was. I even received a follow-up email the next day after my initial inquiry to confirm the sauces were vegan. I suggested making that combination their dedicated vegan dish and I would absolutely come back to have it again, especially if they could add some tofu in there! Not having a protein option or a vegan dessert like sorbe, was my only reason for knocking off a star. I really wasn't expecting the accommodation and thoughtfulness that I received, as vegan dishes aren't their specialty, but I really enjoyed my meal! The ambiance was great and my kid was happy with his French fries! What else can I say? TODAY... Very disappointing for people who work hard for their money for a "treat night out". Excited about the crab legs and the signature bang bang shrimp. First, the crab legs are not worth it. The legs were skinny and the "meat" inside was almost non-existent. Ordered the full bang bang shrimp - our Waiter came back to say that they are out of the full size but can do the half size. I suggested putting two half sizes together to make the full. He said it would be a double charge....hmmm, that doesn't sound accommodating. First and last time dinning here . I was excited to try this place and when we called to ask if they had grouper they said yes we were made reservations right away (not that we needed them ) It started okay and quickly went downhill. My husband had the fish and chips served with fries and about a tablespoon of coleslaw . He had to ask for malt which normally comes with F/C , I had the grouper and was very disappointed, the fish was dry, the crab cake was meh and the asparagus was way undercooked and hard. We ordered calamari which was so so, Flemings is way better . Our waiter rarely checked on us , we asked for mango tea (which was awesome ) and did not get refills till we were done with dinner , at that point we asked for to go cups. The food runner dropped our food off and noticed our tea glasses were empty but didn't bother to ask if we needed more , (it's not her job I guess )We dine out a lot and have patience since I waited tables once before for years so I know how it works . You can have great food and terrible service cause when you go back you ask to not be seated in that waiter's section, but you can't have both, subpar food and service. At first, the name of this place made me think twice about eating here. When I was young, a fishbone got lodged down my throat during dinner. My family tried everything from Heimlich maneuver to guzzling lots of water. Nothing worked. Finally, my uncle used his bony fingers to reach down my throat. He somehow miraculously pulled the bone out. I remember feeling the edges of the sharp bone scraping against the tender soft tissue of my esophagus. It was painful. I spitted blood. I was traumatized and never fully recovered. Fast forward to tonight's dinner, I wanted to conquer my fear of the restaurant name and order the wood-fired grilled Atlantic salmon. I started with a classic Caesar salad. Next, came the fish with garlic whipped potatoes and broccoli. The filet was drenched in a sweet, tangy mango dressing. My eyes were closed when I tried the first salmon bite. I slowly chewed cautiously in order to find any hard bone fragments that might be lurking within the pink flesh. Then I swallowed. I opened my eyes and drank a glass of water. I did it. It was a triumph of the will. As for the broccoli, potatoes and the cheesecake dessert...nothing compared to beating the salmon. Our server, Justin, was fabulous. He is very knowledgeable about the menu and cocktails , amiable , and professional. He made our experience more pleasurable. Food and cocktail selections for happy hour - (though we did stay til 8:30 when the restaurant was primarily empty) - also favorable though we wish your establishment also drew a younger clientele take. We ourselves are older , but it's nicer to see a mix when we go out. There's no reason , considering the great menu selections and friendly wait staff, that this should be, more or less , a senior citizen destination.
