The spinach benedict had bacon, fresh mushrooms and fresh spinach. I really enjoy my food when it's prepared with fresh vegetables. My mom was a little sad that her overeasy egg was popped upon plating and she said her corned beef hash was a little too salty. The space is well organized, a little tight between the tables but it worked. They also have outdoor seating but not sure if you'd want to sit out there during the summer. This location has been hit or miss since it opened. I've only been a handful of times and it is always at the request of others and I live walking distance. Order inside and sit outside and expect to be ignored and have your food delivered - - if they even decide to come outside and deliver it - - in a styrofoam container. Even if you are clear upon ordering inside that you would like to sit outside and eat this has been my experience. Luckily, there is a Dunkin' Donuts in the same plaza, so we headed over there for some coffee and munchkins while we waited. Once we were seated, we found the service to be attentive, the food to be delicious, the portions large, and the prices reasonable... I never leave reviews let alone a negative one, but this experience was genuinely frustrating from start to finish. The service was incredibly poor. After placing our food order, we were essentially ignored. No one checked on us, and we had to repeatedly flag down staff just to get basic attention. Speaking of the staff, our waitress was shockingly rude--no warmth, no patience, and clearly uninterested in doing her job. Our food took about 30 minutes to arrive, and barely 10 minutes after we started eating, she dropped the check on the table and asked us to leave. It felt rushed and disrespectful. We chose to sit outside, which turned out to be a mistake. The seating area was messy, and the tables were visibly dirty. It didn't seem like anyone had bothered to clean them in a while. The restaurant claims to be dog-friendly, which was one of the reasons we came, but that turned out to be misleading. No water bowl was offered for our dog, and even after we asked, it never came. Just another example of how inattentive the staff was. Throughout the meal, we had to ask at least five different staff members for simple things like napkins, coffee, and jam--and none of it ever showed up. It felt like no one was communicating or taking responsibility. To top it all off, paying the bill was unnecessarily difficult. Instead of being able to pay at the table, we had to go to the front where a crowd of people were waiting to be seated. We stood there awkwardly for about five minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. Overall, this was a disappointing and frustrating experience. I got the chicken and waffles and carrot cake pancakes. Other items ordered were red velvet pancakes, egg whites and potatoes, banana cream pie pancakes, eggs and hashbrowns, and bananas foster french toast. It took about 25 minutes for our meal to come out but when it did, we were ready to eat. My chicken and waffles was okay; I wish the chicken had a little more kick or seasoning but it was moist and not dried out, which was nice. I didn't get to my carrot cake pancakes until later on that day, but it was really easy to pour the cream cheese icing drizzle on it and it had. a nice subtle flavor.
