I explained I'm eating gluten free, dairy free, soy free, and she was so quick to jump into the menu with me to help me find something that fit the criteria. She was friendly & welcoming, while checking in with us at the perfect pace. The ginger margarita was great (must like fresh ginger, which I do!). I ordered the Salmon & absolutely loved it! Cooked perfectly with lots of flavor while being well balanced. My boyfriend got the chicken parm & really enjoyed it. Clean, well maintained, and comfortable seating. We came for the July 4th special and it was such great value! Burger was good and only $2.50 in honor of the 250th anniversary of America. The guac was delicious and inhaled lickety split. The seasonal pizza was made well and interesting to try but I wouldn't order it again. Seemingly kid friendly with a kids menu that doubles as a coloring sheet but nothing to color with. Also, no place setting that's kid friendly. I don't like worrying about my little one accidentally smashing a plate. We were not provided with plastic utensils for her either. The biggest issue with this true foods is the inconsistency with food. But was still flavorful and good! Service is always pretty good. The one we had that day was super nice but they do get a little busy and maybe need to staff a tad heavier. Seen them running around like crazy multiple times. Thankfully we aren't very needy. I love true food kitchen on Summerlin. The food is solid and usually on point. I also eat at this location or order to go food a couple times a week.... So what's my gripe.... The tulsi tea.... My absolute favorite and the way I like to drink it is with PUNGENT GINGER!!! Extra ginger!! I used to order 4-5 a week but the bar 50% of the time messes up... my tulsi tea. Today it came with No ginger. When I order I put in the name EXTRA GINGER.... I also add notes this way for all the food! Shout out to the kitchen they 95% of the time get it right.... I really wish I can rate higher. Our server was fantastic. Took a long time to get sat, took a long time to get our food. Most importantly, if this was the first time we ate "healthy food", we probably would just stick with McDonalds for the rest of our life. Not great taste for the high price. I used to loooooove True Foods but it's pretty apparent that the quality has gone down and the prices have gone up. Generally, when I go to TFK, I know that I'm going to spend about 25-35% more than other options because the ingredients are quality and I'm generally not disappointed. Yesterday's meal proved differently. I stopped in yesterday for lunch with friends and our $100 lunch (without cocktails) was a preeeeetty big disappointment. I ordered a $17 salad and when it showed up, we all thought maybe the server thought I'd said "half salad," but that wasn't the case. My girlfriend ordered a turkey burger which arrived with a (drier than normal) patty and a mealy tomato. My boyfriend had the air-fried sandwich with somehow not enough sauce, yet soggy bread. Overall, I was just bummed that this healthy staple didn't deliver. I can't say I won't be back to try it again and re-review, but with the increased prices, it's tough to want to. With so many organic and healthy options around town, TFK doesn't stand up to the competition. Saving grace - the servers are always awesome. My friend and I went for lunch here instead of a nearby cafe, because they had more fresh salad options. My friend replaced the leafy greens for her salad with romaine lettuce, and it took out all the goodies with it that was part of the salad. My first ever True Food Kitchen experience was at the Rosemary Park location. The restaurant is in a very large commercial community of retail shops and eateries. Even on a Tuesday night parking was a big challenge. The staff was friendly and our server had almost too much energy with each interaction but was very helpful explaining each dish. All meals arrived hot with an attractive presentation. I must admit I was stunned at the size of my entree. The wild caught shrimp over black rice is very good and very small. If this your dinner choice, start with an appetizer. Everyone enjoyed their meals but later joked about find a place to eat. We came to TRU Foods Kitchen on a Monday during happy hour. The interior is bright, and spacious, and the patio looks amazing for nice weather. Unfortunately, several of the dishes we wanted were unavailable, including the Mediterranean hummus and the jambalaya pasta. We ended up ordering the edamame dumplings, cauliflower, and Brussels sprouts to share. I got the burger, and my friends ordered the pizza and chicken parm. The food was fine -- not bad, but not memorable either. Since the restaurant has a reputation for being a "healthy" spot, I was hoping for something flavorful that still felt wholesome. After a hard day at the Iron Church a craving for a burger suddenly fell upon me. I've had True Food Kitchen ( @livetruefood ) on my list to try and noticed they had one on the menu. Normally in times like these, I'd opt for the sure thing, the medicine I've already sampled and could guarantee success. This spot killed it. My girlfriend and I took our other girlfriend here for her birthday yesterday and besides the excellent service from Timmy T everything else was subpar. He took care of all our needs which truly made up for the food that should have been spectacular, but did not come close. One of our salads had an unknown flying object flying out of the salad in the middle of eating it. They were gracious enough to take it back and offered my friend the option to choose something else, but at that point she was over the food. I had a curry dish that was not good at all. I don't recommend the curry here. The potato was not cooked properly and the chicken, which was an add-on, was very much overcooked. We had already sent back one salad. I wasn't comfortable complaining about another dish. Other friend had a salad that she took her time eating and whether she enjoyed it or not, I'm not sure, but since it was her birthday, I didn't want to inquire what she thought of her dish. Definitely choose a Tulsi tea (hot) which was delicious. I ordered a lavender latte after my lunch and it was kind of awful. I hate complaining this much about a meal, but it truly was not good. The overall vibe of the place is clean, casual, and overall chill. A good go-to for clean and delicious food if you're in the Summerlin area! Visited on a Friday afternoon for late lunch early dinner with my bestie. We were at Downtown Summerlin wandering around mall and had a craving so decided to stop by to eat. We were greeted and seated immediately, dining area is modern and airy and we got seated at a booth as there were many tables/bar area available. Our server was very nice and friendly and attentive to checking in on us. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and chicken parmigiana to share. We also just got ice water to quench our thirst. Food was hot and fresh and tasted good. I was so full after a couple pizza slices and a 1 third of the chicken parmigiana. We still had leftovers to take home.
