My wife has onion and garlic allergies and therefore she explained at length to the very nice young female server to please ensure nothing from the onion or garlic family was placed on the only Pizza she was told she could order - the white one. (So much for their claim to make from scratch when clearly all the ingredients as mass produced). That said when the Pizza came it had chives sprinkled on top. My wife pointed it out to the server who apologized profusely and said they would make another. In the interim the Manager came over and asked what was wrong with the Pizza...really?? After we told him he just walked away. Again, the server returned by this time my Pizza was stone cold as they had left it at the pass. Need I go on? There are so many mixed reviews on CPK here and can only offer my experiences. When it comes to pizza reviews, I hear and read so many comments like "It's not authentic" or "Its not crispy" or "It's to charred on the crust" or "It's to thick or not thin like it should be" and immediately judge it unfairly. I think pizza is a very misunderstood type of food and it's important to understand what style of pizza your looking for so that you can have a great experience and enjoy what type of pizza your looking for. Example: Your looking for a nice thin cracker like crust throughout with provolone cheese instead of mozzarella, then you may want to choose a Midwest style pizza like "The Crust" offers. If your looking for a NY Style pizza then maybe try out place like a "Midici or LowBrow" place that serves Neapolitan style pizza, it's bit thicker, chewier, charred and crispy on the edges but softer and softer in the middle. If your looking for a NY Style pizza that's thin crust, sturdy throughout underneath then you might like a "Grimaldi's, Ny Pizza & Pasta, Citrolas, Ninos and Joey D's and Peppi's" type of place. If your looking for a square Detroit style pizza with burnt cheese crust then recommend the takeout pizza from "Blackjack" pizza. If your looking for an old school Sunday style Italian Grandma square pizza that's in between a Sicilian and Ny Style pizza then I highly recommend the "Cosmos" restaurant. If you're into flatbread style pizza then hit up "Naples Flatbread" for a place specializing in this type. Last but not least, if you want a West Coast inspired non traditional pizza then give "CPK" a try as they serve regular, thin and flatbread pizzas using non preservatives in their ingredients. They also have whole grain and cauliflower crust for a healthier option. CPK is one of our regular dining spots as we visit the Naples and Bonita location at least once a month. We come here for the unique and innovative pizzas that are NON traditional and great tasting salads. The Naples location is located in Waterside shops offering plenty of parking space and or valet. The interior is nicely decorated with a relaxed atmosphere great for any dining occasion. They have a kids menu, WiFi and a nice bar offering beer, wine and hard liquor options. I had the traditional crust pizza with pepperoni, sausage and Cremini mushrooms that was baked perfectly and tasted delicious while the wife had her usual BBQ Chicken Salad that she was pleased with. Our daughter loved her Mac & Cheese that came out hot and creamy with spiral pasta. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. He frequented often and made sure our needs were met. We love this location for its committed dedication to great service, trendy atmosphere and friendly staff. If your looking for a place that offers a lot of healthy inspired food, fresh ingredients along with West Coast non traditional style pizza then I highly recommend this place. They do serve traditional style pizza toppings "which I like" but their more famously known for the BBQ Chicken Pizza that is also quite delicious! read more

I had never been to any location of this chain, so decided to stop by here recently for lunch. Sat at the bar, ordered a beer and lunch combo special: 7" pizza + soup. Bartender gave professional service, five stars on that experience. Quantity of food was fine for price, decent value. Pizza was a good choice here, while soup was decent, if not memorable. I rarely hand out 5 stars to just any major chain restaurant, but I am a strong believer in the changes that CPK has made for the better. First off, I'm in love with the renovations and floor plan. Prior to the reno, some areas did not make sense with workflow. Now, the table set-up makes a lot more sense, and it feels like they added more seating. The wood slat designs on the wall, chairs and tables, matched by the metal frames make it casual, but casually spectacular. Clean lines and it feels clean too. They also have a beautiful bar area that opens up to the outside patio. The indoor and outdoor space are congruous with each other. The bar top is this huge slab of white quartz? I think they did a phenomenal job in keeping with the elegance of Waterside Shops, but with purpose in keeping it casual. Maybe the demographic might shift this season and call for people who would like to stay past 9pm. And then there's the FABULOUS menu. I have tried their new flatbreads: the bianco - their white cheese pizza, their mushroom and spinach, spicy sausage and poblano pepper, and their ham and swiss. Don't worry. Not all at the same time. They all are worth trying. CPK also has a seasonal menu. This go-round, they have a bacon, potato, leek and sunny-side up egg pizza. WHAT? Breakfast comfort at its finest. A fried egg doesn't just go on a burger to be "cool". There a ton of salads to choose from, but I tried their quinoa and arugula salad. It had sundried tomatoes, pine nuts, asparagus, feta, onions, and it was lightly dressed, or not even dressed at all....this was a good thing. It paired nicely with my ham and swiss flatbread. Tip on salads: Half salads are plenty enough for one meal, or get a whole to split. I still ordered a half salad and ended up taking some home with me. (However, the leftovers got gobbled up within 5 minutes of entry into the fridge.) If there's enough room, you must try their pumpkin cheesecake! To summarize, if you want to get sneak away from the hoity toity crowds in close proximity, hang out, have a drink, and watch a little tv at CPK while feasting on fresh and innovative menu choices. read more

Have always loved CPK. Since Covid, they have reduced their menu down too much, taking away one of their very best pizzas the Jamaican Jerk Ckn Pizza. On the up-side they do offer $8 take away pizzas now. Wish they would go back to their larger menu. The restaurant at Waterside is clean and food tastes very good, what you would expect from a CPK. As he was the only bartender on a busy Friday night, he was tasked to make drinks for the entire restaurant, serve food to his section at the bar, bus the bar and much more! While being incredibly busy making 20+ drinks at a time, James was still friendly, funny and helpful. CPK should stop being cheap and hire another bartender! Wait times were a little longer because of the limited staff, hence the 4/5 review but James deserves a 1000/5! read more

The food was good, but the service was HORRIBLE! Ariana apparently needs to go home and take a nap- it was like it almost hurt to form the words to make a complete sentence. Went here last minute on a Monday night to meet some friends who were visiting from out of town. We ordered the avocado spring rolls, the kid's chicken breast, shrimp scampi pizza and a few other things. The food was very good but the service was excellent. The server, Albert was extremely pleasant, efficient and professional. My kids can be a bit picky and he was very patient and insisted that he would be able to accommodate their requests. He was very attentive and made sure our glasses were always full and that we were enjoying our meal. I use to be a huge CPK fan in South East FL but at this location, 3 stars is more than generous ( they did sit us down quickly and we didn't have to wait for our entire party of 9). The food was not at all the same quality of what I remembered. I felt as if I was eating a premade frozen salad "yuck". The kids meals came out quickly which was the Mac and Cheese and the portion size was good, other than that, I don't plan on going back. read more

I have loved CPK for decades, first in Newport Beach, CA and now in Naples, FL. The last two times have been different. My previous meal there was average at best. the cauliflower appetizer was awful and returned. the rest was bland. Last night I had a meal of take out for 2 adults and a child. It costs over $100. The chicken in the Bar B Que Chicken salad was like left over pieces and I think it was mostly dark meat. My Bar B Que Pizza was bland with little flavor. Little BBQ sauce. My girlfriends Zucchini Pasta even had salmon added (add $6) and she couldn't eat it. The salmon was minimal in amount and the dish was dried out and overcooked. The child's pasta was ok as was the Margherita Pizza. We thought the meal was so poor, that we didn't even put the leftovers in the refrigerator. I just can't justify going there again. We walked in for a late lunch/ early dinner. The music was SO loud we asked the hostess if they could turn down the volume. She mumbled something about " looking into it" sat us at our table & returned to the hostess station and proceeded to get back on her phone. We just walked out. Fast seating, good service and great food.... We ended up here in some ritzy part of Naples by accident. They sat us within 10 mins during a busy lunch. The kids both ordered pasta and had it within minutes. I got the shrimp Shanghai power bowl. It was awesome. Shrimp with vegetables and some sort of super special rice in a mildly spicy broth. I am not a fan of chain restaurants but this did not taste like one at all. We also got the California club pizza. It was perfectly cooked and tasted great. The mango lemonade was also a little too sweet and artificial flavoury. Finally our waitress seemed a little spacey and it wasn't even that busy. Nice upscale restaurant. Not only pizza, but great pasta and apps. The hummus was excellent with warm flat bread. The spinach dip was good, the chips were not warm, kinda looked and tasted like they were straight out of the bag. Had the two soups in one bowl, pea and barley soup was awesome and the farmers market was equally good. Ask for bread with dipping oil and fresh herbs, great. The butter cake with icecream was good, a bit sweet. They were out of the chocolate souffle cake, so we had the butter cake on the house because it was my wife's birthday. Great service and nice atmosphere next to window. Wonderful menu, would of liked to of had a few items. A little pricey, but not too bad. read more

My husband & I both really like CPK. It's been a little difficult working our way around the menu, because when I find something I love, I want to stop there, but I soldier on, and we make efforts to try one new thing a trip. What I love: the pizzas (!), the pesto cream pasta, the desserts, their new little bites apps ( specially the Quesadilla one). I get a little confused because the quesadilla clearly has nothing to do with my pesto main dish, but I am not a fine diner, and this is not a classic Italian place. Two misses for us were the Guac appetizer ( tasteless), and the bread you can have brought to your table upon request ( cold bread, rock-hard butter, just like any cafeteria experience.) Our service has always been great. Last visit we had an issue with our apps which needed to be addressed by management and it was all handled graciously and way beyond our satisfaction. Also I tend to be one of THOSE people who tweak things to get to my perfect dish,( I prefer fett vs. penne, add sundrieds, etc) and they accommodate me w/out blinking an eye. The only thing that keeps us from stopping by much more often is they close around 9pm ( yay. Naples.) Which means if you get there by 8, you'll be one of the last tables. Has to be the worst pizza in Florida. The terrible service goes right along with the terrible pizza. My wife's pizza came out wrong, so they took it back and scrapped off the toppings and put new toppings on the pizza - it was terrible. We took too long getting back to CPK. They really know how to do things. They serve good food with a smile and reasonable prices. We had the traditional chopped salad and the Pad Thai pasta. Both were great. The best part is they know how to do portions. Too many restaurants feel the need to serve heaping portions on your plate. They deserve a lot of credit for that. The price is also great. Dinner for two, including the tip, was under $40.00. And that is in a Waterside restaurant. OMG. read more

I went by myself for a late lunch about 3 in the afternoon during peak winter season and sat at the bar. The bartender was very nice and fairly attentive given that she was very busy and by herself. I received my beverage order within 10 minutes. I ordered the lunch special which is a small pizza and a bowl of soup. It took about 45 minutes from the time I ordered to receive my food and it was as good as in any other CPK that I have visited at Coconut Point in Estero or in NYC and Northern Virginia. I would have appreciated having some bread to munch on while I was waiting for my order, and the service was a bit slow, but that's to be expected during peak season in Naples. read more

I had the opportunity to go to California Pizza Kitchen for a networking event and was able to taste most of the items on their menu. The food was unbelievable and the staff was welcoming, attentive and knowledgeable. Some of my favorites in the menu: The cedar plank salmon - was fantastic!! I've had so many bad experiences with overcooked fish, but this was definitely not the case at CPK, the salmon was cooked to that perfect delicious point and the corn with feta side dish was incredible! The Ribeye steak with the Pinot Noir salt made my night. I have gone to steak houses that cost a fortune, and would still choose CPK's Ribeye stake over the more expensive alternatives. My favorite dessert was the butter cake, it was to die for ! I was so relieved that the meals at the event were meant to be shared because had I had the chance I probably would've devoured the entire thing. If you want amazing service, delicious food and a restaurant that has enough variety to satisfy anyone on your table, you absolutely need to try California Pizza Kitchen. read more
