This is definitely the worst restaurant i've ever been to. We made a 'reservation' over the phone and they said the table for 9 was perfect. My friends and I showed up right on time and they made us wait 10 minutes to 'get the table ready'. We came back and they made us stand outside for another 30 MINUTES! Then when we tried to ask them what happened the hostess screamed at us and said nothing was wrong. Then they said they don't take reservations and that we needed to wait. FINALLY they got us a table and they gave us the wrong meal and did not let us return it. Also, when we wanted to bring home our food they gave us the boxes but didn't give us bags when we asked. It was extremely bad service and you should NEVER come here. Highly do not recommended; save your money and go somewhere else. read more

Thanks California Pizza Kitchen for the rancid salmon cooked on a cedar plank on 9/8. It could have been the Buffalo cauliflower too. About 30 or so minutes after eating my stomach started feel upset. Luckily I was leaving the mall at this time. I barely made it home in time. I nearly pooped my pants. I was pissing out of my Butt. For hours after. I think I overdosed on Imodium to try and make it stop. I hope you feel bad and shame for serving me rancid food. Shame on you! Never again! Don't be deceived by the picture. The staff is so friendly. Our waitress Rainbow was by far one of the nicest waitresses we've had tend to us in a while. She was knowledgeable, quick, attentive and super polite. BEST PIZZA PLACE in New Jersey! I ate at the bar on a busy Saturday night with my mom and sister. I had the BLT pizza, which is basically a salad on cheese pizza. It was delicious. My mom had the salmon and corn succotash. I had no idea CPK served salmon. She really enjoyed it. My sister ordered four cheese pizza on a thin crust, which was also delicious. We shared two amazing desserts: the chocolate souffle cake with a scoop of vanilla Haagan Daaz ice cream (the stuff that dreams are made of) and the apple crisp (divine). The restaurant was packed. The game was on the tv, which was good. There were families, couples, and singles eating there. This place is great for dates or for groups. I WILL BE RETURNING! read more

We were seated quickly but after that our waiter came by and said he would be right back which never happened after 15 minutes and asking another waiter if they could find our waiter we left. They compensate that by using a XL plate. $24+ for small portion of halibut. Pizza still good, smaller dessert menu (5). In a word Disappointing. All be it, it is two days after Christmas and the mall is as busy as a bee hive. This was our first time here. The experience was a disappointment. When we first arrived we asked how long was the wait and were told 15 minutes. We were a party of 5 with 3 children. Three hungry children and we waited almost an hour not 15 minutes as promised for a table. By the time we sat down we were all so hungry the entire menu looked delicious and by delicious I mean I was ready to eat paper. Our server appeared blissfully unaware of our wait. He suggested a couple of cocktail off the drink list but never bother to suggest that we get the lunch special which would have saved us quite a bit of cash given we ordered a salad and one pizza to share. The mixed drinks were not good and we left them almost completely full. Our food did come out quickly actually before the driinks ever made it to the table. We got the quinoa arugala salad and the chicken artichoke pie. Both were very good. The portion of the kid's meals were pretty large size but the orders came out all wrong. We just couldn't wait for the remake. I'm hoping it's not always like this but who knows since this was our first visit. All and all 3 kids meals.with kid drinks, two cocktails, one pizza and one salad came to 85.00. We should have just gone to the food court would have been quicker and cheap. read more

We really love this place. The food is always so fresh and freshly prepared. We have had many of the salads, Spaghetti Bolognese, various pizza's and being able to order half portions is great. I have eaten here a few times for dinner with my fiance. She likes the California Club and I like the mushroom pizza. The service is where it gets a little shaky. Most of the times the waiters are fantastic but every so often we tend to get a non-professional waiter who throws extra napkins on the table. Being lied to and given a load of BS is not the way to treat customers. Been coming to this California Pizza Kitchen for years, but I've had my last straw. Usually the BS comes from the waitstaff/hostess where they would say that, "Sorry that your server got the order wrong, she being replaced anyway," but of course the same server is there day in and day out. What really got me this time was when we had a group of six people, and being told that we had to wait till the appropriate table that could fit six was cleared. The whole establishment was empty. There was no one eating there at the time, and there are no barriers to obstruct our view of that. Then another group of five asked to be seated, and they were seated immediately at a table that could fit six. Our party offered to even help them move the tables so we could join three two person tables together to fit six, but they told us that would be a violation of fire code. What kind of BS is that?!? After waiting 45 minutes at a largely empty California Pizza Kitchen, we left vowing never to patron this establishment again. read more

As a childhood restaurant, this has been one of my favorite restaurants growing up. Not only is the food excellent but so are almost all of the servers. I always had excellent experiences until recently when my friends and I were seating in the bar area with Jessica as our bartender/server. Jessica didn't attend to us as much as she should have and even forgot to check up on us a few times. We waited a very long time to get her attention and had to physically wave her over. When our pizza came out, the runner didn't include any plates and when I asked Jessica for plates she told me to reuse the bread plates that we already used and were clearly dirty.Who likes to cross contaminate?? When I asked for new plates, she walked away with an attitude. Eventually when it was time for the check, she didn't shy away from pouring her a little bit of beer, gulping it down and then attending to us. Really disappointed. The Waldorf salad from CPK is one of my favorite salads and was much looking forward to having one. Went to the GSP location and was pleasantly surprised when we were seated right away. However, after we were seated we waited... and waited... and waited. Servers were all around us, bustling past us but we never got one to stop. We watched as others were seated and promptly received their drinks and their food. In the end we just walked out.
