    Toastada pizza

Everytime I visit a California pizza kitchen i am just a very very happy person .To start with they give you some fresh bread and herb infused olive oil. Their watermelon cooler is my favorite summer drink . My most loved pizza here is actually a very odd choice .Its called the toastada. Its a hot and cold pizza with beans lettuce salsa ranch & tortilla. Its a must try . The wait stuff here ensure everytime you have an extraordinary experience . They are very very happy to serve extra bread, extra oil, extra salsa and ranch .The try to accomodate your requests to the maximum level .They once just gave me a bowl of Alfredo sauce because I said the garlic creme fettuccine was dry for me . This location is in the food court of garden state plaza mall in jersey.

Nice location inside of the Garden State Plaza Mall and, most importantly, solid food. Personally, I had not been to a CPK in probably more than a decade! And with this being our 1st time at the Garden State Plaza Mall location, we very well enjoyed our experience here. For the longest time, we patronized the mall and passed by this CPK 90% of the time. With all of the food options at our disposal inside, we always overlooked it and figured we'd eventually get to it when we went through all of the other yummy restaurants. Tucked not too far from multiple entrances, it now has the unfortunate distinction of being located across from the uber popular Kura Revolving Sushi. However, this clean and cozy CPK still draws quite the crowd, especially on the Sunday morning/early afternoon we dropped in for lunch. We arrived at around 11:30 where it was mostly empty inside, but by 12pm, the restaurant was very busy with mostly families - like us. The menu, as you would have predicted, is centered around personal pizzas - Cali-style. However, the menu is surprisingly much more diverse than just pizza - there are lots of salads to choose from, sophisticated entrees/pastas, soups, a variety of starters and sandwiches. We began our meal with the White Corn Guacamole + Chips, which was very good.....except for the fact that it was quite a small order, on both the chips and guac parts. For $14, the order SHOULD have been at least double the size of what came out. Nevertheless, it was still a good guac and chips appetizer. For our entrees, my wife ordered the Waldorf Chicken Salad, while I got the The Works pizza, which consisted of spicy Italian sausage, rustic pepperoni, Cremini mushrooms, Mozzarella, red onions, green peppers, olives, and wild Greek oregano. And, last, but definitely not least, our kids shared a Kids Mushroom Pepperoni Sausage pizza. Overall, everything was decent. Not mindblowingly amazing, but fairly solid. I can't speak too much to the salad, which my wife enjoyed, but The Works pizza was good and a perfect personal pie size with 6 slices in total. There were plenty of toppings and it tasted good. Couldn't really complain much about it. Our kids kind of struggled through the Kids pizza though. They LOVE pizza, but, for some reason, they weren't huge fans. I even had to eat a slice of their pie, which I thought was pretty good as well. Besides the food, we also ordered a Strawberry Lemonade, which came with unlimited free refills. It definitely was refreshing. Service was solid throughout, albeit a bit on the slower side on this Sunday afternoon, but not much to complain about.

I never actually dyed here, but my husband brought home the take and bake pizza. I didn't think it was gonna turn out good. But it was so easy to make was done within 8 to 10 minutes and it was really really good. The only down part was the middle of the pizza was a bit soggy before going into the oven and that part did not cook well. But I will absolutely do this again. Highly recommended taking bake at home

Went to the mall on a rainy Saturday and wanted to grab lunch. My husband and I decided to go to California pizza kitchen as we have not been in there in a long time. We wanted to split some thing and we didn't want pizza cause we knew we were having pizza for dinner so we decided to sit at the bar and order a salad. The bar was pretty busy. I had a mock tail which was really good and my husband had a beer and we split the salad, which was a great size to split. We ordered the large flavor we felt like was missing something, but it didn't stop us from eating. The whole thing will definitely be back in the near future.

Parents last meal before going back!

A good to place for lunch if you want a good value place to sit. I like their duo combos since you can pair soups, sandwiches, and salads to your liking. I recommend getting 2-4 of different variations and sharing! Today was feeling hungry and opted for more of the main dishes instead. I like pizzas more dough and soft too so the ones I had were perfect for me. The pastas you can usually share between 2 people while feeling full too.

Relaxing vibe during weekday lunch time. I like the small portion for lunch. Fried shrimp with spicy mayo is really good. Service is great! Clean and bright restaurant.

I haven't been to a California Pizza Kitchen in many years mainly because the one nearest to my home closed. I was at the Garden State Plaza Mall yesterday with my husband and we wanted to eat lunch. We both decided to try it. We ordered sangria, dynamite shrimp as an appetizer and the thin crust bbq chicken pizza. Everything was absolutely delicious. Our plates were clean by the time we were done. The service was phenomenal. Our waitress Lexi was super friendly and quick with our food. The ambience is rustic but modern. I will definitely return and have already told several family members and friends about our experience.

Have dined here before but not often. Last night I was joined by two cousins. We got seated right away around 7:30 on a Thursday evening. We shared the chicken dumplings, steak and pepper pizza, guacamole and chips, and chicken club pizza. Truthfully, I am NOT a pizza person but I enjoyed their pizzas. They were filling, perfectly baked with great toppings. The dumplings were tangy, soft, and tasty with a kick of spice. We thoroughly enjoyed them. The guacamole and chips were the biggest surprise! The guacamole included corn and jalapeños which we all appreciated and enjoyed. We also shared a sangria flight which was just perfect for Our trio!

Earlier this week, I was with a party of five from work and we met up to celebrate some birthdays. This was my first time at the CPK in Paramus/Garden State Plaza, and it had been a couple of years since I last went to CPK. It was a good choice to go here, we had a great time! There is a variety of seating areas here. We were seated in one of the booths to the left when you enter. Our waiter brought out bread with dipping oil to the table, as well as some tortilla chips later. Here is what we ordered: * Shrimp * Spinach and Artichoke Dip * 5 Cheese Pizza * BBQ Chicken Pizza * Margherita Pizza * Spicy Chipotle Pizza * Key Lime Pie * Red Velvet Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream This is a legit California Pizza Kitchen location. Recommended!

Visited this establishment on a Monday afternoon so it was pretty empty. Our server was very friendly and answered all the questions we had. Our food was just ok. Nothing special. Probably won't return.

Loved the vibe of this restaurant. While you wait for the order you can watch the chefs making pizza or pasta. There is something about open kitchens as you get to see what's cooking at the restaurant is fresh. We ordered some Mexican pizza and replaced the chicken with avocado. The crust was so good and the seasoning on it was amazing. We ordered king pao spaghetti- Chinese meets Italian that tasted great too. It was without any meat but still tasted great. We saw a lot of people ordering butter cake for dessert and got tempted to order it. It was yum. We added ice cream to it and was a perfect end to our dinner.

I showed him my email confirming 6:20pm pickup time and he said he had no order... before pulling a pie with my name on it. I asked if it had half pepperoni and it didn't. Full toppings AGAIN. Clearly, their website is not equipped to actually take half toppings orders. Pizza is OK but not worth the headache or poor service here.

Grumpy's Sourdough Pizza Co. 522 Saddle River Rd…read more Saddle Brook, NJ 07663 Hot Honey Heaven Grumpy's Triple Threat Multiple people have reached out to me and suggested I explore this locally owned pizzeria located in the heart of Saddle Brook. As I entered the parlor, it is a hole in the wall with minimal seating and no AC unit. Regardless that it wasn't fancy, I still had a very gut instinct the quality of their pies was going to be on the money. When I arrived a weekday afternoon to place my order, the cashier informed me there will be a 40 minute wait. For the fact that the wait is this long indicates there are in demand and their pizza is top quality. I also saw framed plaques along their table counter showing they received positive media recognition from The Record, northjersey.com, and bestofnj.com. Hot Honey Heaven: I was initially skeptical about the appearance of this pie because it looks kind of messy. However, I took a single bite and was immediately hooked. This pie was topped with pepperoni, crispy chicken, and ricotta cheese. Mike's Hot Honey was generously poured over the top. It has a combination of sweet and spiciness. I never anticipated honey would enhance the flavor of the pie; I wish I requested an extra cup! Grumpy's Triple Threat: Named after the restaurant, this pie is prepared with pesto, grandma sauce, and pink tomato sauce. The sprinkled parmigiano reggiano added a nice touch. I especially liked the artistic appearance. The three colors were visually appealing, especially with the swirls of pesto. All pies are prepared with their signature sourdough pizza crust. Each slice had a perfect undercarriage and a firm crunch. Customers have the option to bake the pies may light, medium, or well-done. I chose medium because a majority of the customer base prefers this style. As a bonus, Grumpy's offer complimentary crust upgrades. I opted to add garlic butter brush; the outer crust edge was literally brushed with hot, garlic-infused butter. While it is common to throw away the top portion of the pizza, the upgrade is definitely an incentive to eat the crust. San Marzano tomatoes are the primary ingredient for the sauce. It's not overly sweet and has a light tang. This pizzeria is geared for take out, but there are plenty of benches only minutes away at Saddle River County Park. You can enjoy your pie while admiring the beautiful scenery of the park. The parking lot has limited spaces, but you can easily find a spot on the street. Grumpy's may be a hole in the wall, but the pizza was outstanding. I'm really exuberant that I had a pristine experience exploring sourdough crust for the first time! Lighting is good and natural light ones from the big glass windows. Definitely a nice place to eat at if dining out is not in the cards. Awesome food, great pizza and close to home makes this a recommendable place if someone is looking for good food!
