Love that their menu is simple and concise - easy to order, and the drinks are well-made. We came for the first time around Valentine's Day (the Cocoa Cupid was delicious!), and they have wonderful seasonal menus as well. Calioh Coffee is a best kept secret in Moorpark and I am so glad my friends and I found this spot today. Our entire experience from start to finish was a 10/10. We are now obsessed with this spot and will be telling everyone about it! Shoutout to Eri G. From Yelp to encouraging us to try this spot on our girls day outing. Located in a shopping center near some other restaurants this spot wasn't too hard to find and we were able to get a parking spot pretty easily. The exterior was welcoming and had large signage making it easy to spot. When we walked in we all loved the aesthetic of the place. Clean, beautiful tile work behind the counter, and nice wood accent pieces. Soft Spanish music was playing in the background, this place is definitely a vibe! I appreciated that the menu wasn't overloaded with options. Sometimes a more simplistic menu is more for me. They have all of the essential coffee shop items though - coffees, lattes, matcha, teas etc. For food there were some unique breads and pastries, avocado toast, a good selection. Prices were also reasonable and clearly marked. The staff here are what make this place and easily a huge reason why I would be back! The gals working the day we came in were so generous and sweet. Really lovely and attentive, clearly they love what they do and are passionate about this shop. When we came in JC, Luna, and Nayeli helped us. These ladies are true gems and made our experience memorable. Everyone loved their drinks and pastry bites. I wasn't feeling coffee so went with a classic Arnold Palmer with some additional sweetener and it hit the spot. My friends got iced lattes and loved them. They are coffee experts so when they say it's good, you know it's good. We sampled their tomato basil pastry and ham & cheese pastry. Both were super tasty, and I'd definitely order the ham one again. Everything was 5 stars and truly my only regret is that I don't live closer to this spot. Found this great coffee spot in Moorpark this morning! We tried their Vanilla latte with oatmilk and it was delicious! You can really taste the quality of the beans. They roast their own beans which makes this spot very special. The beans we had today was a medium roast and was called Foreman. They have assorted pastries and to pair with your beverage, we tried their citrus olive oil cake...delicious! They have ample seating inside with modern decor. This is my absolute favourite coffee shop! The service is top notch, the staff are incredibly kind, and the drinks and food are exceptional! The presentation is always beautiful. Recently added to DoorDash, again standout service. The iced lattes came as a kit. One cup had the prepared drink, another cup had the ice (so it doesn't get watered down during transport), and another little cup had the cold foam to add in. So nicely done. Their avocado toast is unlike any other I've ever tried also, so delicious with the pickled onions. The staff are friendly and so accommodating and the ambiance is quaint. Stopped by Calioh and wish I could've stayed! It's very cozy inside with plenty of space and seating areas. A great spot to work on the computer. I had the Lucha Coco and it reminded me of my childhood when I'd always make chocolate milkshakes. I think it can be priced less tho for what it is. The large horchata was good, but I think the coffee over powers the taste of horchata. The cashier and barista were very friendly. When I decided to give this place a try I was very excited and very much pleased. The first couple of times my coffee was great! After a while I noticed that it was a hit or miss just depends on who is making it. We could have been a regular here, but after several visits we were experiencing a rude and unwelcoming male employee behind the register. Wish we knew his name. And it's not the owner. So my husband and I stopped coming unfortunately. He is very unwelcoming and just makes you have an unpleasant feeling. This could either make or break a customer's return. We went for a nice weekend coffee visit. I had the Mexican mocha over ice, and we split a slice of the sweet corn cake. I wasn't expecting much, but it was delicious. The sponge was moist and not overly sweet, and the sweet butter icing with a ribbon of honey complimented it well. The interior is relaxing and the staff were very friendly. Calioh Coffee is a little out of our way to visit often, however, whenever my daughter and I are in that area and get that coffee urge, it is always our favorite go-to spot in Moorpark. It's really quaint inside with some indoor seating as well outdoor seating and the staff are always very friendly and willing to take the time to answer any questions you may have. They have an outstanding "regular" coffee menu (extra hot Mexican Mocha my fave), however, they also have some fantastic "seasonal" menus to choose from as well. Today we tried some of their seasonal offerings. A "Dubia Mocha" and a "Canela Cloud". WOW!! Absolutely delicious and so full of flavor! The "Canela Cloud" has espresso, raw sugar, cinnamon and a vanilla cold foam and the "Dubia Mocha" is a rich mocha infused with pistachio and cardamom. They also offer some great looking items to eat as well, such as avo toast, bagels, empanadas, and misc. baked goods. Highly recommend and just know it's a little bit pricier than your "chain-type" coffee shops, however, the quality and care that goes into their drinks makes it worth the extra splurge! read more

The guy who helped me this morning was really nice and helpful with any questions I had. I think it changes your whole experience when the people that work there enjoy what they do. They had about 4-5 tables inside and some people sat along a wall with mini table set ups. There was only one outlet I saw so studying wise I was lucky to sit by it. The cinnamon roll was not my favorite because I don't like citrus. I shared the roll and the delicious avocado toast with a friend and we both loved it! I am 100% gluten-free and always check the menus online before going to a coffee shop. I can confirm they have 3 great gluten-free pastry options, 2 of which I tasted. - Raspberry Lemon Poppyseed Loaf (4/10): A little stiff and crumby, but the taste was overall okay. - Banana Bread Loaf (8/10): This was delicious, and the texture was fantastic. The environment of the cafe was quite lovely, a great place for me to finish some work and read a couple chapters of my book. Besides the pastries, I tried two latte options. - Hot Lavender Latte (8/10): I have a major sweet tooth and wished it was a tab bit sweeter. The milk froth was nice, and the latte itself was beautiful. - Hot Mexican Mocha Latte (4/10): This was a very acquired taste that I didn't necessarily enjoy. But I can see how someone else with that acquired taste would enjoy it! The service was very quick, kind, and helpful. I had a very nice conversation with the barista about which gluten-free pastry he recommended. He chose right! However, there were two options listed under the GF pastries and these were "Gluten Friendly" and "Gluten Free". We asked him what the difference was, and he didn't seem to know. Matcha Latte is ceremonial grade and love that they have hot chocolate for the kiddos. We had the Egg Biscuit Sami, a bit pricey for the portion and a la carte. I've been twice now... first time I walked in to order. Everybody was extremely and genuinely friendly. They helped me navigate the menu and made recommendations. My latte was exquisite! I use the toast app and was able to earn points I could apply to my next visit. On my second visit I used the toast app to order ahead. I got the lavender vanilla latte and a blueberry muffin. All ingredients are listed on the app to the food so it made it easier to decide. Checkout was easy and I applied some points for a discount. Pickup notification was very quick and they again were super friendly as I walked in. Prices are very reasonable and I'd recommend supporting this business before choosing a chain. The location is quaint but in the heart of Moorpark so easy to get to. Great for before my son's ball games. Highly recommend the Lavender Vanilla Latte and the blueberry muffin! Yes, the coffee is great but honestly... This place is all about the bakery. The granola is incredible. When they bake it fresh the whole place smells like Christmas.
