CALIOH COFFEE in Moorpark is amazing. I had the vegan raspberry muffin and a salted latte--both were so yummy. You can add banana milk, collagen, or chaga, and there are signature options like strawberry toast and empanadas. The Adelita Coffee, with cloves and warm spices, is my next must-try. The space is chic, and there are also retail items like their own brand of coffee to purchase, which looks so good. The staff is so knowledgeable--especially Mariah, who is incredibly well-versed in all the items, so kind, and just a burst of light and clearly a leader. Baristas really do make a difference in your day! Thank you!! Support local--I'll definitely be back.

Stumbled on Calioh Coffee while we were in the plaza after having lunch and so glad we stopped in. The staff was really friendly and both drinks were so good. I got the iced vanilla latte and my husband got the iced horchata latte, and we both really liked them. It's in a plaza with free parking which is always nice, and they also have an outside seating area. Baby/stroller friendly too, which I always appreciate. Definitely a spot we'll come back to.

Update Jan 2026: I think this might be my favorite place in the area for a coffee and gluten free pastry. I just stopped in before work and ordered the horchata latte and the pear, cranberry, almond muffin and both are so good. The muffin is wheat free, so I would recommend asking for a more severe allergy. They make all their pastries in house each day. The environment is also super kind and welcoming.

One of my favorite coffee spots in Ventura County! Genuinely the BEST cold brew and the baristas always put the perfect "splash" of cream. The pastry case is always packed with a wide selection of treats. The blueberry lemon scone was divine! Baristas are always welcoming and acknowledge you when you come in, even if there's a line. I usually grab a bag of coffee for home too - big flavor and never disappoints. Great location for a coffee date and plenty of parking right outside.

This is definitely a specialty coffee shop. I feel like the quality and vibes are there and I just ordered the wrong thing (the Earlito). After I took my first sip I knew it tasted like something familiar then I realized it tasted like cereal milk. And after that I couldn't get that out of my head and it just kept tasting like that LOL. I'm not sure if it was bc it was more sweet than matcha-ey but yeah that was a bummer. Unfortunately I am a matcha snob so maybe take my review on the matcha w a grain of salt lol. I think the coffee was good though!! So def try the coffee!

There's a large plaza parking lot to get here. The cafe is tucked into the corner of the plaza. It's really cute and cozy inside. There's a good amount of seating indoors. It can be a great place to quietly study. The staff are nice. I got the strawberry matcha. This was interesting since it uses a strawberry syrup instead of the usual strawberry pieces. You do get almost the same result but doesn't reach the levels of other places. The flavor was good and not diluted for an iced drink.

This is not your typical Starbucks. Their coffee is much better! Calio Coffee is known to source premium coffee from around the world and roast their beans to perfection. I've only learned about Calio Coffee because I was looking to purchase whole coffee beans and came across their roastery in Camarillo, and later learned their Cafe was in Moorpark. I ordered the Adelita Latte and Matt's Way Bagel. I loved the Adelita, a Mexican inspired coffee, that had the perfect balance of cinnamon, clove, and star anise. The bagel may have simple ingredients, but it was really tasty with the everything bagel!! I'd definitely come back to try the other signature drinks. Prices seem reasonable. Staff is friendly, and cafe appeared clean and well kept!

I ordered a matcha latte, strawberries & cream cookie, and white chocolate cranberry horchata scone. It was busy inside with a short line, but it moved quickly. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The matcha latte was earthy and unsweetened (you can get it sweetened or unsweetened). The strawberries & cream cookie is a decent size and phenomenal. It's sweet with the strawberries but not overly sweet- I would come back for this. The white chocolate cranberry horchata scone is crisp on the outside and crumbles like a scone should. Visiting from LA on Easter Sunday we had limited options for coffee. We were lucky to come across Calioh Coffee. We walked in to an amazing atmosphere. The ladies were nice in greeting us and offering some suggestions to their menu options. The food and coffee came out quick but the quality was next level. A delicious avocado toast and bagel accompanied by Adelita's Coffee! Safe to say our limited selection brought us to such an amazing coffee shop. Thank you ladies for the experience, we will be back soon!

I come in here all the time Matt the owner is a very friendly congenial guy always willing to listen to feedback and trying to make the customer experience a good one. The staff he's hired are super friendly easy going and attentive and always willing to make something specific of its not too busy with a big line. This is a specialty coffee shop so those expecting corporate chain Starbucks ultra customizing and inane tik tok inspired creations should adjust their expectations. The pastries and food they have are terrific and in line with anything you'd find in a hipster place in LA Or Brooklyn which is nice to have deep in suburbia. Second time here. Calioh is a cute cafe with friendly staff and solid coffee. We enjoyed our latte and drip as well as the pastry selection including an empanada, banana bread and ham cheese danish. Chill ambience which is nice, although only thing missing is Wi-Fi dedicated for guests. We will definitely stop by again when in the area. read more

Clean and airy coffee house with a fantastic vibe. The staff is welcoming and wonderful and the drinks... wow. I have been a fan of Matt's beans for years and am so thrilled that he now has a brick and mortar. The lavender latte was smooth and delicious, and the perfect balance of sweet and smooth. Same with the cardamom mocha latte. So good. The cold brew was easy drinking as well and had great flavor with no harsh acidity. Guava lemonade was tart and refreshing. And the concha was a nice sweet treat without being too sweet. Love this place! read more

It was my first time here and I was so impressed. My standard is an almond milk latte and many times, coffee shops make it too watery. With Calioh, the latte had a nice body, great aroma and depth of flavor. The staff here is also so friendly and they take such great care of all their customers. It's also a great place to study or catch up with friends and family. They have several large tables, fast wifi, and it's quiet so you can study or chat with no distractions. Been coming here for about a year now. Always trying new shops in the area but this one is definitely the best! The owner and some staff are very friendly and welcoming. Others need to smile more . It's nice to come in with a warm welcoming smile and friendly attitude to start the day. The fresh baked goods are amazing, avocado toast is definitely 10/10. Blueberry muffins are delicious warm and freshly made here. The inside is perfect to study in or just enjoy a fresh baked pastry with a delicious cup of coffee. This location used to be another coffee shop that I adored, and after years of not visiting I wanted to go back, and to my surprise, it is now Calioh coffee! I went in to try it, and I got cold brew, with a herb and cheese pastry. The coffee is smooth and delicious, the pastry warm and flavorful! I would see this being a cute place for a coffee meet up or a warm breakfast to go! They have some unique fall drinks if like to go back and try. read more

Tried so many items but a few of my favorites are the Abuelita latte, Santa Ana latte, the banana bread latte (BBL) and all are insanely amazing and they have perfected the flavor! I love the strawberry almond quesadilla- it is always moist and has a nice crunchy top! I feel like the owners have prioritized high quality, a consistent experience and service matters to them. Ah! I love this place. It makes me so happy to see another thriving coffee place in Moorpark. Their coffee beans are so good I take them with me back to school and use them throughout the year hundreds of miles away. Having out friends and family onto Calioh, I'm happy to be supporting such a good business. My favorite story is one time the girl working made my drink hot instead of iced which was perfectly okay with me, but she insisted on remaking my drink, and I told her she was so sweet but I really don't mind I couldn't drink both anyways, and she told me she'd make it without ice so I could enjoy it tomorrow! Ugh! So kind, genuinely warmed my heart. No good deed goes unnoticed, and that's my mantra with this place. read more

Visited for the first time on a Thursday afternoon. I got the Umber Mocha for myself and the Autumn Chai and Matcha latte. The Umber Mocha was AMAZING!! The layout resembles an alley with shops on either side, big open doors invite you to grab something to eat, sample a drink, or shop for handmade gifts. On one side, you've got craft brews and coffee roasters. On the other side, it's local wines and piping hot pizzas. Dogs are welcome all around. At the center of it all, there's live music on the weekends. Modeled after a Beer & Wine Garden concept, The Alley features Enegren Brewery (beer), Lucas Sellers (wine), California Coffee Republic (java), Fire & Vice (pizza), and The Craft House (non-alcoholic tchotchkes). As a self-proclaimed wino, I opted for a sampling of the Lucas Sellers Wines. Ashley, who was behind the bar and top of the pours, gave me good suggestions and offered anecdotes about each wine on tap. At the end of the night, my light pinot paired perfectly with the Mushroom Arugula pizza from Fire & Vice. And I felt right at home, surrounded by friends.

Most places serve it in a paper cup where the espresso and gelato just blend into a mushy mess. Not here. Carrara's presents it beautifully on a stone tray, with a proper espresso cup and a transparent glass so you can actually see the layers of gelato and espresso. And Ama personally poured the espresso tableside, which really topped off the whole experience. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

I came here to try out California Bun, an eatery that has harnessed an interesting (long overdue) concept, to package portable food. Here they prepare snack sized bites (or a little more) of favorite food fancies, enveloped in a daily fresh baked round brioche bun. The store is high ceiling, spacious and large, with ample space to dine in or carry out. It is a mom and pop joint, that is slowly but surely, beginning to make a mark. On the main wall, elegantly displayed, are all the many enticing varieties, for the day. My visit was designed to take something to go. The conundrum here is, what to order, because there were so many inviting choices that were talking to you. I finally decided to select three of these evenly browned and differently topped buns. The El Sabroso (Egg, cheddar & jack cheese, bacon & Jalapeno salsa, garnished with Cheese, bacon & jalapeño). The Roadside Burger (Seasoned ground beef, grilled onions, white American cheese, & secret house burger sauce, garnished with Cheese & bacon). The Mac Daddy (Creamy mac and cheese with a cheddar, jack, and parmesan cheese blend, garnished with Panko bread crumbs). So whats the verdict? The Mac Daddy was my least favorite. In comparing the other two, the Roadside Burger seemed to have the higher of (inside filling/inside bread) ratio, as compared to the El Sabroso. However, the latter is the most attractive bun on the outside and overall, contains a good mix of flavors and slight kick. Any food with a visible Jalapeño is a magnet, for me. Still, this concoction needs more of the egg mixture, to achieve the right balance. In general, all 3 buns were soft, had a nice texture, bread taste and chew. Service here is warm, inviting, friendly and informative.

The basil was strong, which I expected from a Margherita-style pizza, but what felt missing were the diced or sliced tomatoes. Instead, it came across more like red sauce with heavy pizza seasoning, and not in a good way. Overall, the pizza felt rushed and should not have left the kitchen in that condition. I wanted to like it based on the reviews, but this was not a good pie. I'm hoping for better pizza options in the Camarillo/Thousand Oaks area moving forward. I won't be back.

Updating again, we have tried this place for a third time, and we placed an online order through their website about 45 minutes ago. We came to pick up the order, and they are so busy, they didn't even have the order, they only just put it in now. This is unfortunate because it creates an inconvenience for us. If you allow online ordering, you should have the order ready by the stated time. This does put a sour taste in our mouth.. However- this burrito was back to tasting as delicious as the first I had gotten. So it seems the morning is the time to have the breakfast burrito!

Some of the absolute best coffee in the area, if you are a coffee snob, this is the place to try. The staff is always super friendly, the vibes are good and the seasonal drinks are always fun! I would highly recommend this place. I was looking to try a new coffee shop that would be good for doing work. The matcha latte with oat milk was really good and the staff was friendly.
