After being plagued with water leaking into my wheel well of my Honda Fit and multiple places in the city telling me they can't fix it (including the Honda repair center, which completely ripped me off) I finally found the right team for the job! Car Collision was the first place I went for an estimate and I was very pleased by the quote. Just to be sure, I went around to the other top rated shops on yelp and was shocked when their quotes were at least $1000 higher than Claudio's. This was because the other shops insisted on replacing the bodywork and painting all 3 panels. Claudio insured that his staff was skilled and could bang out the dent and match the paint (a silver sparkly paint that everyone said was the hardest color to match). Honestly, I was a little skeptical and nervous that they would be able to match it up and that you would be able to see where the dent was banged out. I was stressed out and didn't know what to do because I wasn't going through insurance and this wasn't my car. But, also, Claudio kind of reminded me of my dad who works in automotive repair in the South. My dad's shop is kind of junky like Claudio's - but he knows what he is doing. I got the feeling he is just a real nice guy that isn't looking to rip you off. I must admit that part of my decision layed in the fact that I did not have the money the other shops were asking. So when I went back to the shop, I asked to see a repair he had just finished and it looked good, so I took my chances and handed over the keys. In two days I went back to pick it up and it looked like new! You could not even tell where the dent had been. On top of fixing the dent, he fixed the paint where the car had been keyed and painted all three panels. This was all for the original quote (which was just for the door). He did this because he told me he didn't want me to get in trouble with the car's owner. Seriously, the paint matched perfectly to the original! I was so relieved and the repair was beautiful. Claudio-the man is magic. We have to start with his AMAZING customer service at the time that we called him. He arranged everything including the car rental. On the day we came, he brought us to Enterprise, talked to manager to have us check out a 7-seat SUV although my insurance only covered a car not over $25 a day. And then he assured me to go on to my vacation. He would perform his magic including dealing with my insurance. Upon my return from worry free vacation, my 2003 SUV looked like brand new again without any surprised cost. Our Honda Odyssey needed body work. Where to go? San Francisco Honda recommended Don's Auto Body, Karry's Collision Center had the most Yelp reviews, and Call Car Collision seemed promising based on its Yelp reviews. I visited Don's and their place was huge; they were working on at least 100 cars. They are obviously a very successful operation, very professional. The guy I spoke to was nice and said that since I had an insurance company estimate already, they didn't need to see the car and could just work off the estimate. I went to Karry's and asked the woman at the desk why I should choose them. She seemed surprised that I would ask and indifferent about having my business. She said that they had a lifetime warranty and that I should read the Yelp reviews. Call Car Collision is a small shop with maybe a dozen cars in their garage. Claudio asked to see the estimate and started inspecting my car. He noted several things that he recommended should be changed on the estimate. He said that he would handle working this out with the insurance company. He took an interest in my car and I didn't feel like my car was just another car on their assembly line. Claudio was clear that he wanted my business. Since it was his shop, he had a vested interest in doing a good job and earning my business rather than just being an employee, punching a clock. I chose to go with Claudio and he did a good job calling me with status updates and keeping me informed. The car turned out great and the whole process was easy. read more

Claudio and Richard are great! I took my smashed up Toyota Solara here after reading the great Yelp reviews and I wasn't disappointed! My car received extensive damage when a Vespa scooter crashed into it while parked. I never knew those little scooters could cause so much damage! They did the estimate right on the spot. No appointment needed. Short wait. I was out of there pretty fast with my estimate. I then dropped off my car there, and I had the insurance adjuster go to them. I don't want to deal with insurance adjusters. Claudio dealt with the adjuster. They authorized the work without any going back and forth. Aside from one phone call with the scooter driver's insurance company, I didn't have to deal with the insurance. Claudio handled it. My car came out looking fantastic. Just like new. They take a lot of care to make sure the paint matches and they used quality parts. You can tell they take pride in their work. Claudio is honest. The shop is friendly. I went in for an estimate on some small dings and scratches, and was basically told that the repairs were not worth the associated cost. They pretty much turned down my business. Claudio then proceeded to rub out most of the light scratches by hand...he spent nearly 45 minutes on my car only to wave me off with a smile. He wouldn't take any money for his work. Needless to say, he has my business while I am in SF, and I will recommend him to everyone. read more

Wow Claudio did it again. I had another accident. This time in my used 2005 Mini Cooper S convertible, 6 days after I had bought it. And I thought it wasn't much damage -- it looked cosmetic, so it took me a while to get it looked at. And, I didn't have collision insurance (my own stupid fault), so my insurance didn't cover this accident. I went to BMW for an estimate and they told me at least $3500, likely more once they looked under the car and that once they started taking things apart, they would have to go ahead and continue fixing the car (while charging me whatever else they happened to find). Oh and it would take at least 2 weeks if not more. I drove right over to Call Car Collision with the written BMW estimate in hand and Claudio estimated $2800, no matter what other damage he found under the car. He then agreed to fix a different dent in the car door for $200 (a $700 extra cost). In less than a week, Claudio had the car ready, and looked better than when I first drove it off the used car dealer lot. He also replaced a light bulb and installed my license plates. Go to Claudio. Call Car Collision is the best. My first experience with Richard and Claudio was after the husband tried to wash the one month old Range Rover. For some reason a washcloth legit scratched the black finish on the car. It was deep, noticeable, and weird. I was too scared to try anything to fix it so I began to call around to body shops to see what advice they had or if they could fix it. A few calls around town and I got Richard on the phone from Call Car Collision. He said to bring it by and they'll take a look. When I did, the two of them inspected it and - in front of me fixed it with some solvent and elbow grease. I was out of there in 20 minutes and they didn't charge me. They wouldn't take anything for it! I promised I'd come back if I ever needed real body work. (Which would hopefully be never.) Well, about 5 months later I had an unfortunate incident with the Whole Foods parking garage on Franklin and had to take the car back to them. After being prepared for thousands of dollars worth of work to the front driver's side panel and front bumper - they quoted me just above my deductible and said they'd have in done in 3 days! I was shocked. Shocked! 3 days later they called to tell me it was ready. Upon pick up the car was perfect. They worked magic on it! I paid exactly what was quoted and was happy I avoided going through my insurance to cover the repairs. These two are as nice as can be, honest, and do amazing work. Easy to deal with ~ Richard was super helpful and helped me to understand the process of dealing with insurance companies. We recently got unlucky by getting out parked vehicle hit and needless to say didn't exactly know how to proceed. they didn't do any (paid) work but still have to write a good review. I borrowed my parent's mini van for the weekend and backed into a wall. So the back door didn't open. Since it's very old, my first concern was just to get it to open and not worry so much about the cosmetics I took it down to Call Car Collison and Claudio just took a look at and then did some manual adjustments with some tools and was able to get the door to open. I took my car to them after an accident which left me with both bumpers broken and my hood bent. They quoted me a lot less money than other body shops did. They also had a guy come in and do a paintless ding removal job. This also cost me extra money but it was cheap to do and the car looked great after that!. This wasn't a bad job at all. Not only did they take me on the spot, they went above and beyond to overhaul the front end of my car, bumper,headlights, frame, radiator.. you name it. I didnt have insurance and they quoted me a reasonable price.. They worked fast, efficiently, and even stuck to their original quote after they realized it was going to cost more then they quoted.. talk about being sticking to your word... And I am not one to trust many in the auto-repair business. I have been screwed too many times, but it won't be by these guys. I have a Mazda3 hatchback that had a snapped radio antenna. Called the dealer to get a ballpark quote- $1350. Yeah, I know- totally freaking ridiculous. These guys helped me turn a bad situation into something I was ok with. Someone did a hit and run on my new 2010 Mazda 3 totally messing up the drivers side mirror and somehow during the whole ordeal I managed to leave an inside light on, so my car was damaged and the battery was dead. After reading the reviews on yelp, I decided to give these guys a call to see what they could do. It was a Saturday and to my surprise Richard picked up the phone! I explained to him what happened and asked him if he knew a tow truck to call to jump my car and to my surprise he said that he would drive down to my house and jump it himself! Keep in mind that they are not open on Saturdays! So within 20 minutes Richard showed up, jumped my car, and fixed my rear view mirror the best he could (It looked almost new but the housing was broken). I gave him $20 for his trouble/time but being a new car I decided to take it into the shop to get it fixed. He allowed me to bring it in that day and Claudio gave me an estimate ($200 cash) for a new mirror. It took a couple days for the mirror to come in, but I was really happy with the way it looked and I came back to a fixed car and a charged battery. Thanks Richard and Claudio for everything! These guys rock! Here's why: I came in with a dent in my passenger-side door--looked like a tiny little thing, but it stopped the door from opening, so my wife had been climbing through the window for the past year. Why had I let this thing sit there for a year? Because when I took it in to the auto body guy my mechanic recommended he spouted some mumbo-jumbo about the hinge probably being bent (this dent was NOT big) and quoted me a price of $1500. Hells to the no! He wouldn't even change the price when I told him I didn't care how it looked, just wanted the door to work. But my parents are coming into town this week, and there's no way that Mama Dukes is climbing through the window when I pick them up at the airport. So, it needed to get fixed. And stat. Enter Call Car Collision. I swung by for an estimate, bracing myself to hear the same outlandish price. He took one look at the dent, pulled out some tools, went to work for--literally--1.5 minutes, and had the dent fixed. FREE OF CHARGE. Door works, my mom will be riding in style. I don't know what these guys charge for a full-scale job, but if you're looking for someone who is not going to take advantage (ahem! other auto body shop that is about to get a 1-star review) and will be honest about the situation, this seems like your spot. Hands Down this is the Best Auto Body shop in the entire bay area and the best I've ever been to. I'm glad I listened to yelp (again). They truly go THE DISTANCE in completing the repairs how they should be repaired and greatly take what you think into account. I inrquired about putting on an upgraded rear bumper and Claudio searched a great deal into this idea however I decided to not do it. They dealt with the insurance company so I didn't have to, they were as accomidative as they possibly be, I had different situations going on and was also in the middle of moving. They fought to get new parts for certain things so things would match, etc. These guys have such incredible and personal customer service, they completed my car VERY fast and perfectly! It looks fabulous and they even fixed some stuff another auto shop screwed up for free. This place is first class all the way, I have no possible clue why anyone would even consider going anywhere else after witnessing how awesome this place is. read more

This body shop is unreal - I've never met any mechanics who is as thorough and caring as Claudio. My car window wouldn't roll down, and Claudio explained to me that a tiny part that controls the motor had broken. He didn't have the exact part, but he went out of his way to the other auto shops nearby and searched for a used one (saving me $$ from buying a brand new item from the dealership). It took Claudio a lot more time than he anticipated, but he didn't give up. When he finally found it, he was as happy as if it were his car. Within minutes the problem was fixed. And because I waited longer than anticipated, Claudio didn't charge me. I couldn't believe it. He spent at least 1.5 hour on the window, ran around searching for the part, yet did not charge me a single cent because he felt bad that I had waited longer than anticipated. I absolutely LOVED this place. I took my Honda Accord in as it was making a super strange noise in the back tire area and even though this wasn't Claudios usual work, he gladly took on the job. Not only did he immediatley offer to help me, he did the work in a lottle over an hour. And to top it off, he charged me a whopping $20!!!!!!!!! I was sure it would be more like $200. As a blonde woman, going to a car repair place is never fun. I always feel like I am being taken advantage of because I don't know much about cars. Claudio made me feel like my concerns were valid and only charged me for the part. He even fixed a little dent I had on the side of the car for FREE. why? I received excellent service from Claudio and Rich. Someone had hit the bumper on my Infiniti G37S, which required replacement through the her insurance (GEICO). Whereas GEICO tried to make everything complicated, Claudio and Rich made everything easy. Claudio even found damage that the GEICO adjuster ignored, and made sure that I was getting everything repaired correctly. Their workmanship is good. The car looks beautiful again. I noticed the fender/headlight alignment was slightly off, but Claudio took care of it right away and made it right. I really appreciated that they went the extra mile and buffed out several extra scratches I had around the car. They took the time to explain the process to me, were patient with any questions I had, helped deal with insurance, and delivered on-time. Fair, honest, professional, friendly. I can't get over how nice and efficient the service is here. I had knocked off my side view mirror, and when I called they told me to bring in my car. Without even having to get out of the car, the guy assessed the situation, and called around to see if anyone had a replacement part. He ended up having to order one, but he screwed mine back on for the weekend free of charge. It took less than an hour for them to replace it when the part came in. I found this on Yelp with 134 reviews and 5 star rating. I had to give it a try since I live close by. I had some minor things wrong with my car -- white scratches on the side, a loose front fender. Anyhow, I pulled up and immediately Claudio greeted me and got to work! I helped out as he put screws in my front fender and pieced it back together. He then buffed out all the white scratches to make them barely visible -- from a distance can't even see them. Anyhow, this dear man who apparently is the owner, put 30 minutes into my car, and wasn't even planning on charging me! I insisted he take $20 or I wouldn't feel right. I highly recommend this place. Body Shop for my Audi Wagon This Place is awesome. I backed out of my driveway and took my mirror out with the tree that's always in my way at the end of the driveway. I didn't have a lot of time as I was traveling later that day a couple hundred miles away and needed my mirror in working order. I looked on Google and Yelp to find a body shop between my house and my office. I found Call Car Collision. It had good Yelp reviews so I thought I would give it a try. I called first and the gentleman who answered the phone was sincere and nice and told me to bring it right in and they would have a look at it. When I got there the owner (I'm assuming) Claudio stopped what he was doing and came right over to my car and started to look into the broken mirror. I noticed they had a wide range of vehicles in their shop ranging from BMW's to Toyota Camry's and I really felt that they new what they were doing. Within 2 minutes he had a screwdriver out and was taking the assembly apart. He then pulled the broken glass and told his assistant (who I spoke on the phone with) to call the Audi stealership and see if they had the glass in stock. They had the part and he was off to get the glass. I stopped him and volunteered to drive to the parts store to get it myself to save them the hassle. Besides I was just going to sit and wait regardless. I was able to use his wholesale discount when I picked the new glass up. I brought it back to his shop and he put the new glass in and buttoned the mirror assembly back up. Within 2 hours of smacking the mirror on the tree out front of my house my mirror was fixed. I tried to pay him and he wouldn't accept my money. Said this was "on the house". This is such a great little neighborhood shop. Gave their time when they absolutely didn't have too. Wow. I rarely take the time to write a review on Yelp, but Call Car Collision- specifically, Claudio (the cool Brazilian guy that runs the place) made this the most amazing experience I've ever had/ever will have at an autobody shop. I brought them my car after getting into an accident on the Bay Bridge- my front bumper and some other pieces were dragging on the group and destroyed. They dropped everything they were doing to give me a quote within 5 minutes. Claudio was so KIND .. he's just a genuinely nice guy and that makes a big difference- especially when you've just been in an accident. They're prices are very fair, they are HONEST people and they do quality work, and they go ABOVE AND BEYOND to help you out in any way they can. They new I wouldn't be able to get to work the next day without my car, so Claudio helped me secure the falling pieces of my car back on until the replacement parts came in- they offered to help get me a crazy good deal on a rental car - and then they went out of their way to paint my new bumper ahead of time so that I didn't have to leave it over night and they could just put it on after I got off work. They also helped me figure out the whole insurance process. Claudio also gives really good life advice while you wait for your car to be worked on- OMG. I am never going anywhere else.
