Wells , our realtor choose this company for inspection of an old house we are trying to buy. They asked us to pay $500 before the inspection for full report. Termite, foundation and other stuff like leak etc.... we told them the main problem we have is the foundation report. When the inspector went to the house couldn't go under the house because the crawl space opening was very narrow. They asked us to cut the floor for an access . So we did and paid another $200 , not to mention that this house is not ours yet. Now they are asking for another $250 to finish the job that they were paid in full and did not complete. I need refund because no way we pay more to this company that has zero customer service. read more

Cal Pro is awesome! They will thoroughly Check a Home and make sure your buyers know what they are purchasing! The sellers won't like it and will come on here and leave a bad review.. haha! Talk about ridiculous, Julie K. They did not put the packing tape on the outlets, we did! So you knew what outlets had reverse polarity. Yes they may work, but they are not wired correctly! You said you had an electrician coming out the following day so we wanted to point out which outlets they were for the electrician is what we had told you. Lol Point is, I didn't even pick this home inspector, my buyer did. And they do a very thorough job! It's been awhile since I have had a home inspection and Brannon made the process very easy. After inspecting my new house, he walked me and my wife and explained all the features of the house, as well as some minor things to be fixed. He was patient with not only me, but also my eight month pregnant wife who took a little bit of time walking up and the down the stairs. Brannon further showed my wife how to access the gas valve and other important safety features of our house, just so she would feel safe. This will be a mixed review. I have used CalPro 3 times: first, 2 years ago when buying my house. They inspected it and failed to find some major dry wood termite infestation and damage that was subsequently found by another company I hired for a second opinion. CalPro was very humbled and said they would repair the damage for a reduced price (2nd transaction). Their repairs were extensive and done well. Fast forward to the present. I am getting ready to sell my house; CalPro is hired to do a pest inspection. Adam is the CalPro person who inspected both times. You couldn't ask for a nicer person than Adam. But in talking to him after he has inspected; he leads us to believe he only found a few things and we thought, no termites. The report comes a day later and there is more damage (termite and otherwise) than we were expecting. Also, Adam is not returning my realtor's calls. read more

I recently had an inspection done for a home purchase, and my realtor highly recommended CalPro, specifically Philip Crespillo ("he's the best, he catches everything"). I took his word for it and was happy with that decision. I was present during the inspection -- to do my own renovation planning -- and Philip was polite throughout, even before he knew I was the owner. After a thorough inspection and nearly three hours later, Philip walked me through the interior and exterior of the house to highlight the issues. I took the opportunity to ping him with extra questions regarding wiring and wall removal, knowing that he has extensive experience with construction. He graciously provided me answers to the best of his knowledge. The inspection report was also very thorough and organized, providing clear photos and recommended actions.
