Although that interaction was uncomfortable, I still chose to remain with the practice. However, when I needed to cancel an appointment at the last minute today, I was informed that another missed appointment would result in being "dismissed" from the practice. I was also told the next available cleaning would not be until August, despite it currently being May. Given these interactions, I would strongly recommend additional customer‑service training for front‑line staff. I have already moved my son to our family dentist, who was able to schedule him within one week.

The dentist did not listen to my concerns and the feeling I got was that "surgery" and "anesthesia" using gas were the only option for minor cavities. Warning*** Went in for a cleaning. They then ended up making…read moreme do a deep cleaning saying if I didn't do this then they'd refuse to do any form of cleaning. Signed up for this 3 day process. The second day I go in and the dental hygienist looks at my teeth completely complexed why we are doing a deep cleaning saying you have very minimal tartar. She does the cleaning and my once bill for $106 turns in to $200+. And then my second bill for $34.10 turns into $140-160. Because someone forgot to quote something. But no one informed me of any of it. Had me sign a paper like if I'm checking in. Turns out they upd the bill. The worst fn part of this is they chipped my fn tooth in the front while doing this unnecessary deep cleaning!!! Then go "we will create you a plan to fix it it'll be easy" I turn to the dentist and say "you all chipped my tooth during the cleaning! Why would I pay for that??" Then it turns from a quick fix to "oh well it would be hard to fix and it probably wouldn't stay if you try to bite into something". And that they can't do anything without management approvals. I felt sorry for the front staff personal that had to deal with this while the ones responsible head behind a door leaving her to handle this. I'm sorry for that but this is absolutely ridiculous .

Ironically I ended up back in the same office suite used by my last dentist before he moved across Clark Co. turning my 5 minute drive into 25 (followed for hygienist who only worked Mondays not him :) Logistics became untenable for every 5 week 3 part process (wire out, cleaning, wire back in). So I tried this practice based on reviews and so happy I did. 6 years ago I had a molar removed by another oral surgeon because the root died. At the time the…read moresurgeon also did a bone graft in case I wanted an implant in the future. A few years later I decided to get an implant and had a consultation with Beacon. I was told the bone graft needed to be made larger before I could get an implant. I was also told that I would need to have anesthesia. I got a second opinion at another oral surgeon in the area. The second one told me that my original bone graft was sufficient and I would not need anesthesia. I went with the second oral surgeon. I did not need anesthesia and had nitrous oxide instead. It all went well and was less costly. A couple of years later my implant is doing fine, Always get a second opinion. Beacon's estimate for the procedure was very high and had added on expenses that did not need to be done.

Recently I experienced a crown that was leaking. I feared what a painful, difficult, mess that would be from past dental work. But, SURPRISE....another painless, easy, beautiful replacement! He has five kids of his own -- so that connection comes easily for him. He's a smart guy, but takes the time to make sure we understand the procedure, any alternatives, pros/cons, and anticipated outcomes. I've learned that dentistry is an increasingly competitive profession. As a result, many dentists seek to supplement their revenue by performing work that has traditionally been done by oral surgeons. Most dentists don't have the specialized training required of oral surgeons. If you need your wisdom teeth removed or other complex procedures, you're far better off using an oral surgeon. Beacon OMS seems like an outstanding group of professionals and Dr Rehrer gets my highest recommendation.

They never introduced themselves to me as a client which made me really uncomfortable getting treated by strangers. One thing really made me want to leave is their equipment being very unorganized and old. Of course, they do sanitize their equipment and all but you can tell they use very old equipment and no technology whatsoever. I immediately changed my dentist to another place with better equipment and people. If you have an insurance, there is no reason for you to go to this place. It's not like they are affordable anyway. If you walk in to this location, you will see what i mean. Please be careful before you make appointments.
