I bought a year old vehicle with 5000 miles and was assured that there were no concern with the truck... After my purchase I was then informed days after that the truck was a lemon law buy back because a return from the original owner for a blown engine. Realizing that this vital information was never disclosed I new that this was a dealership that I did not want to do any business with due to the fact that they thrive on deception and no integrity. I can give you the whole story which took over two weeks of lies, deception, and harrassment or you can simply take my advice and RUN from doing business with this dealership.... Read on if you want full recap of story... Day 1 Bought vehicle,,,, Day 2 Salesman called and told me paper was not signed that he would meet me... otherwise, they would repo vehicle back??? Agreed to meet, Salesman didn't show to meeting Day 3 Spoke to finance and scheduled a visit next day at dealership Day 4 Waited an hour to speak to finance even with scheduled appt. During wait provided paper indicating they did not disclose vehicle was a LEMON buy back.. Was told to take vehicle home and they would look into ford certification... Day 5 was told it could not be certified and therefore left truck at dealership...said I have money down on this but need the weekend to consider...as they came back with a lower offer. Day 8 Called dealership...and said I would take vehicle with confirmation of replacement at lower agreed cost on Day 5 Was told that offer is no longer offered as they have received higher offer...all along I still had initial down payment on the vehicle.. Day 9 Told to counter my offer??? I did not Day 10 offered a best and final...They accepted but when I went to bank to write loan they came at different amount than agreed upon..Was done with the dealership at this point Day 11 -12 Wake up in the morning to text and pictures from the dealership...The games and harassment were UNBEARABLE.... Day 13 Officially wrapped myself out of deal and gave it to the GM and rest of the clowns at this mouse trap... If I can share with you.... In truth... We first got there a few months back in order to test drive a few models with NO intention of buying on the spot - as we told salesman. We also wanted to get an estimate on a *trade in*. So, the salesperson told us that they would inspect the car while we were test driving.. So we left them our keys. Big mistake, but I will get back on this in a few moment.. As we were simply looking for a second vehicle we did specify we did not want any bells and whistles on it .. we wanted to test drive the BASIC model.. There were several basic models in the lot , yet they insisted we tried the fully loaded version.. and then started showing us limited editions and platinum versions... We finally got him to understand we did NOT want a luxurious model as a second car... he did not like that.. After the test drives were over we sat down to talk about the estimate.. what a joke..they quoted us on a fully loaded model that we drove, the trade in was not even close to kelly bluebook for an almost brand new car and the salesperson kept going back and forth to his manager that was glaring at us from his back office considering there ridiculous price.We asked for pricing on a lease - they gave us pricing on purchasing both vehicles! The best part was when I got the quote for the lease, it was more than to purchase it according to ford.com online. When he took the page, saw us upset, started marking down the price telling us he was going to get us down to what we wanted. First off, we're A plan customers - meaning Ford already sets the price. I don't understand how he could "come down" potentially $100 a month if they are fair pricing. I think it came down to he did not include the dealer/local rebates so he could play around with the price, but who knows. After *AT LEAST* 2 hours of trying to get a fair price.. the salesperson goes back to get his manager to sit with us. He was insisting that we purchase the cars today.. We finally made the decision to just walk away, but they were still holding on to our keys insisting on "what would it take to walk out with 2 cars today"... We finally were able to get our keys and got out of there.. After that horrible experience the calls started.. They have harassed me daily with their calls for over 2 months! Needless to say, we went up to N. Scottsdale, leased a vehicle with no hassles - they even gave me the invoices and proved the costs - and gave us straight up standard service. Another case of the pretty dealership doesn't always give you the best service. I wasn't going to write a review at all, but these money-hungry, sales asses keep calling me AND my boyfriend after I've asked TWICE to be removed from their system. Let me start from the beginning... September 23, 2018: Stopped in to see about trading in my car. Edgar Garcia pulled both of our credit reports. This man was great to deal with in the beginning. He answered all our questions, never made us feel rushed, but couldn't help us in the end as we do not have the best credit and we didn't have any money to put down. Hey, no harm done, we'll keep looking. We went on our way. September 24, 2018: I get a text message from the Sales Manager, Edgar (can't remember his last name, different Edgar). He wanted to know if all my questions got answered, and if he could do anything else for us. I told him that we were told no the night before, and that he can't help unless he can finance us with no money down. He invited us back in because he got a deal on the table with no money down. We were pretty excited and just thought "Wow, they were able to get us something!" We go in that evening and were told to sit down. Not only did we sit for a half hour, not able to see anyone around the cars in the showroom, but then we did not even meet with our guy until later. So we get this "deal" on the table, over the monthly payment I was told on the phone, and we are looking at completely different terms than were discussed earlier that day. We say no, sorry, we needed to be under a certain dollar amount. They push us a bit, and I'm like, Look, I know you don't want us to accept something we can't do. They seemed to back off at that point, saying their offer is valid for a week. We walk out and go our merry way. September 25, 2018: We get another text saying thanks again for stopping by and if we have any questions, to call them. Great, right? Well, the boyfriend and I decide to shop insurance so we can maybe afford the payment they're offering us. We save more than 15% by switching to... you guessed it, Geico! Woot, saving enough to afford the car payment! We opt to inquire the next day if the car and deal are still available. September 26, 2018: I texted early in the morning so Edgar had it there when the day started. I didn't get anything back by 10 am, so I decided to call. Get him on the phone, then I told him that we had decided to take the car, and he was shocked. He needed to call me back after checking if they still had it. They did! I told him we'd be there that evening and he said he was getting the paperwork together as we spoke. What does paperwork mean? Means they've at least pre-approved with their desk man/finance guy, right? You would think! We got there and again, sat for over a half hour, met with yet ANOTHER guy. He was a young, brunette, arrogant twit! He says he's got a deal on the table for HALF our payment maximum. I'm like "yeah, with money down. We don't have any money to put down." He said no money down, no co-signer. As always, there is a catch... oh, surprise, this is if we don't do the trade-in. He proceeded to ask us if we had someone to take over the payment on our car. Nowhere in any of this, did we discuss NOT trading in, we were always trading in the car. He pushed this until I snapped at him and got up to walk out. After he let that go, he finally admitted that there is no deal, nothing on the table, the paperwork isn't printed, Edgar (guy in the beginning) had even left for the day. These people are only after one thing, and that's a sale. It doesn't matter if you're happy, if you can afford it, if you've been sitting and waiting and just want to go home because you're tired of WAITING, or if you've got a kid there who is also tired. This dealership is a waste of space, time, and energy, and money, I'm sure, if you bought there. Don't waste your time here. Even after you've been denied, they call and harass you to come back!! WHAT! Go to CAMELBACK VOLKSWAGON and ask for JOSEPH RUBI. They boast about being able to work with poor credit and they're not lying!! We took a higher payment, as we know we had to bend somewhere, and we had to eat some negative equity. But hey, they got us financed! We also didn't feel like just another sale to him. Here is the list of issues I ran into... - They kept me in the place for 5 hours when I already knew what I wanted...took two hours just to see the finance manager which I'm guessing they do to wear you down before you have to listen to him try and sell you 1000 different warranty items which you will eventually buy just to get out of the room - Had a promise that they would tint the windows and when I came back to have it done they advised they needed some voucher to do it. Asked why they didn't have any record of it and they just sort of shrugged. Went home, searched for a while and found it. Took it back in 3 different times and waited for about 30 minutes to an hour to talk to someone each time and never was able to talk to anyone. Finally gave up. Not worth it. - Decide to try and trade in the vehicle two years later and Ford Credit tells me the dealership needs to take the pay off. Call the dealership and they advised they have no idea what I'm talking about. They guy literally was confused what I was talking about when I said I was trading the vehicle in. I tried to explain I was trading it in and buying another vehicle about five different ways and he said he would need to talk to someone more familiar with these situations (seriously)? Was supposed to get a call back and never did. Luckily, I found out from Ford Credit that I can take my pay off to any Ford Dealership and they will actually benefit from the purchase as opposed to Camelback Ford. They should receive zero stars. I purchased a car from them, gave a deposit, they ran my credit and I signed all the paper work. So the car was legally mine, then they tell me it has too many problems and I can't buy it. I applaud them for being up front about that aspect but I think the car should go through their inspection process before they offer it for sale. So they don't waste someone's time and put hard credit inquires on their credit report for no reason. read more

I'm only writing this review at this point because this dealership has driven me absolutely bonkers! First of all, the salesman I dealt with on the phone was terribly pushy. I got a different nice and low key salesman to show me a car, but then his manager was super pushy and rude. But that's not the worst of it. I ended up buying a car a Bill Luke (Awesome experience) and the phonecalls from Camelback just wouldn't stop...even after I'd told them multiple times that I'd bought a car and to take me off their call list. Finally, at the fifth call, I said, "Alright, now you get a bad review." I mean REEEEAAAAALLLLY. How pathetic that I have to tell them 5 times to stop calling me! Hopefully, now they'll bug off. This is an email I had to send the service writer after he continually says that I was the problem getting my car worked on. I have tried to contact the General Manager, but his admin won't return my calls to give me his email address. She went instead to Alan and told him that I was trying to contact the GM. Alan Tabarez 1st - you didn't need to rush to get me a loaner. You had my car at 8:30 in the morning an knew by noon what was to be done. 2nd - I declined an F150 (I am 70 and 5'1") because I couldn't get into it and a Eco sport where the air conditioning only works when you are moving. In Phoenix, that doesn't happen often especially on Camelback. I've been given that vehicle before, as I told you, and with a temp of 110, that wasn't going to happen. Then you wanted to give me a transit van with no windows to look out of for safety. I told you that I wasn't comfortable driving that. I also told you that I could bring the car back and we could do the work another day when a suitable loaner was available. You told me they started the work already. 3rd - You told me that the car was going to take 1 1/2 hours to detail so I couldn't pick it up until 5:30. When I finally got there at 5:50 because of the Lyft issue with you canceling the rides, I was given a Fiesta with some ones laptop and brush in the back seat. So what did they detail for 1 1/2 hours and still leave a laptop in the car? You only dropped the price because I told you I didn't want the shocks done and I would bring the car back at a later date to do the job. I told you that on Wednesday night and Thursday morning you called and said that they were already worked on. How did that happen between 5:50 and 8:00am? I had to ask what the price was for the total job and when you told me $700 I told you not to do the shocks. You said ok at that time. I never approved that job! You didn't put my vehicle in front of anyone else's because I asked you to. I told you I didn't car how long you had my car as long as I had something to drive. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to list all that happened so I can give to the GM. And, also, never email a customer in all caps in an angry manner. I have saved that email to show him as well. You should have just said you were sorry for the mess of a day. That would have been fine but you insist on making it seem like it was my fault. So Ive been interested in buying a Jeep Liberty for a couple years but have some commitment issues when it comes to needing to pay things every month. Who doesnt, right? I was referred by a friend to check out this dealership since i was in the market for an SUV and compared to some other places Ive been to, i was pretty impressed. I called in to set up an appointment and spoke with a Jesus Bermudez. He invited me in that same day so I took advantage of my day off and went. On a side note....The location of this auto strip mall is the worst lol. Super cramped and ya never know when someone is just gonna 'yolo' his life away and step out into a busy street. But anyway, I was greeted as soon as i arrived and Jesus seemed genuinely interested in what style SUV i wanted and why. Usually sales guys want to know just enough to use in their pitch when you have objections but i felt absolutely no pressure. He opened my eyes to the Flex and Explorer and answered all of my questions. I told him i wasnt 100% on board though because a Jeep Liberty was what ive wanted for so long and he actually spoke to his manager and said they would find the one i wanted and add it to their inventory so i wouldnt have to settle! Im sure later down the road I just might consider buying a Ford SUV though because they seem like great family vehicles. So I bought a Mustang from them and they basically did their best to rip you off at every corner. I was expecting it but my God lets start from the beginning of the lies: 1. Cannot use a credit card to purchase vehicle. Of course the salesman didn't mention it before offering me a test drive. And why can't we? Could I use a debit card and pay cash? Why can I only put a down payment? Oh thats right because you don't make money for your partners if I don't take a loan. Right. 2. That guy over there really wants this car. You'd better hurry. - Yea ok, noted. 3. The online price was our best price for another vehicle, a vehicle that we sold between the 2hrs of you reserving your car and driving here we sold it.- Even though these cars are exactly the same and you only had that one listed online? Ok. Now you want me to pay you $5K extra for the same car with 4,000 miles less? Noted. 4. (This one was crazy, in my head I was thinking lawsuit because I still have the receipt for my battery change for tax season) ::: "Your vehicle looks old and in the middle of your test drive the battery shutdown. But its ok we'll over look that". - They basically found some way to kill my battery during their inspection even though I just had the battery replaced 2 month ago and its not even hot out or ever really in direct sunlight (which deteriorates the life of batteries faster in AZ) 5. They told me to get a loan through their partner and my rate would not be lower today but it will go down by the time the process is complete. Lie its the exact same. 6. They told me I don't need my Progressive Auto Insurance because their dealer insurance policy was better. I wish I got that in writing, I'd sue them for everything the next time I go into an accident. Their little financial manager literally let me drive off the lot with absolutely no car insurance. This is what took the cake of all the shady criminal practices. He told me I could cancel it anytime that I wanted and I didn't realize it wasn't car insurance. Every other dealer I talked to said they can be held liable for that. 7. I called them for over 2 weeks trying to cancel the plan when I did find out that it was not car insurance as it was sold to me as just that. I left 3 different messages and txt messaged the scumbag who sold it to me and got the wrap around. Then one day I called from a different number come to find out the most likely had my number blocked some way and I got routed to the sleazy financial manager and said to CANCEL this rip off policy. After telling me multiple times 3 weeks ago when I bought it that I could cancel over the phone it says no I have to drive an hour 1 way to sign a paper and get a lecture on why I misunderstood him. There was no misunderstanding he knew exactly what he was doing. 8. A week later I'm checking my car note everyday waiting to see a refund. Nothing the I get a letter in the mail from the policy place MPP and I'm like wtf. I said ok I'm done dealing with Camelback Ford. MPP conveniently had a number I could call and I come to find out after signing that paper at the dealership they did NOTHING. I asked MPP to cancel it and they canceled it in minutes. I reported Camelback Ford to them so they know the probably illegal methods they are using to sell their insurance and it is recorded. I should not have been allowed to drive off the lot without proof of car insurance. Camelback Ford you messed with the wrong man. I look forward to sending this to the BBB next week! Being a sales professional myself, I was very eager to negotiate the terms of my purchase. Upon rejecting the first 3 offers (as everyone should), I sat down with the manager (Brian). This was by far the best experience I've had in negotiations. He was professional enough to hear out my financial goals and then proceeded to explain his profit margins and what needed to happen for our deal to work. His candor, no bull sh** approach, and transparency with the business model will keep me coming back. If every dealership was willing to show behind the curtain perhaps they'd get better reputations. read more

in the last week My wife went into drop off 2013 ford explorer for recall that came up on our VHR. They said it didnt need service. They uphold her to do motor mounts mind you we have the extended warranty. $100 deductible. Why did they charge her 129? Oh it was shop fees. JACOB said for oil and rags and topping off fuels. SINCE when do motor mounts need oil. And 29 to throw away a motor mounts into a dumpster? Oh to top off fluids that were just topped off a week ago at Courtesy Chevrolet? Where it's done for free because that's where we bought it? HERE US THE KICKER...SIT DOWN FOR THIS ONE!! They tell my wife she needs to do a fuel system cleaning 239$. She declines and they told her ok we will put the DIRTY one back in.. So me ...being a diesel mechanic I call my parts suppliers for the "Filter" they put me on speaker in the shop and ask me to repeat thhe request...I do and the bust up laughing at me...the 2013 ford explorer doesn't have a fuel filter just a pump and screen...wow. New car sales was not a good experience. I was mislead about delivery time which they really didn't need to do. I would have waited patiently. Then they acted like the promise wasn't made for that time frame. Basically calling me a liar. I was also mislead on some features about the vehicle. I asked if it had automatic adjusting seats. The sales people said it did well it did not. And to top things off, they did not get my personalized plates transferred to the new vehicle. And now they told me to just go take care of it at the MVD. Great, now I get to go take half a day to take care of the problem that they created. Not impressed. Ok, So this place is terrible! I pull up in at the service department to have my vehicle serviced. A check engine light comes on and I immediately wanted to take it in to have it looked at. So anyway, I pull in the service department, and the service advisor KC approaches and asked if i've been helped. I told him I haven't, and was looking to get my vehicle looked at due to check engine light and also my air conditioning isn't blowing enough air. So he tells me he will have his mechanic look at it really quick, after waiting about 15 mins he comes back and says I have to leave the vehicle there for them to do a full check up to see what the problem is. He also told me that it's a $99.99 for them to inspect the vehicle but that can go towards the labor and parts once they find what's wrong with it. Anyway I drop off the car, I tell the guy I need the vehicle back by the end of the day because I need to use it for work. He says thats fine, so I leave it there he tells me he will get back with me in an hour to tell me what it's wrong with the car. Well after waiting 2 hours I decide to call to find out what it's wrong with the vehicle he tells me one of the AC units the motor is blown, and needs a new part. He tried to get me a part for the vehicle but the "Parts" department was closed so he will have to check back. After finding this out I told him I will come pick up the vehicle and Ill think about it. I hung up the phone find out the telephone number to the parts department that he was claiming he called and I managed to get the part I needed. After coming back to the Ford Dealer i asked him how much it would cost to fix the problem if I bought in the part. He tells me its 3 hours of labor at $130 per hour. I'm not mechanic but growing up in a family where your dad knows how to take an engine apart and put it back together, I've learned a few things, and I know it shouldn't take more than 1 hour top 1 hour and half to fix the problem. So after he told me it would cost me another $360 Plus the part to fix the issue I decided to take it to another mechanic who is NOT a dealership, after looking at the vehicle he turns the AC on and moves the switch to a little more than half way and the second unit that KC told me is bad turns on! WOW! REALLY? I mean I took this vehicle to a DEALERSHIP! They're suppose to be professionals I'm paying top dollar to fix my problem and not only they took my $99 but they also misinformed me! I will never go back to this place again! You're better off going to a Mechanic that isn't dealership they will probably know more than the dealership and save you lots of money! read more

We needed a second vehicle, my husband and went to look at a truck that we seen on the website but it was taken. Seen some other trucks on their website but they were unavailable. We kept asking for the price of the vehicles and they wouldn't even tell us. Everything was okay until I seen our contract the price on the internet was 923 cheaper, than what was written. I talk to the finance guy, he was nice and helpful. He told me I need to talk to the sales person. The sales person said the price didn't include the ads (whatever that means). I arrived with set appointment. They take my keys and look at my car for trade before I ever see the suv I am there to see. It took 20 mins before I ever saw the suv. Once I did, a $20+ suv has a cracked windshield two that go across the windshield. It had a low beam malfunction and we had 5 miles of gas for me to drive it. I go back and say yes I like you run my credit but as I stated in my call when making appointment that I can not stay.. I was there 4 hours. Even told them they held my keys hostage. They had them the whole time. I had to cancel the rest of my work day. They finally come with numbers that I can work with. I finally leave telling them I need to think about it, they didn't like this. The next day I drag my feet but tell them where I am on numbers. They get me there. I go in next day. They told me all paperwork was ready. It was not. They even tried to rework the deal. Lucky I had a text and I showed them this is what I am to get. They had nothing fixed either on suv. This takes 2 hours and I am not even in finance yet. I have a meeting that evening which I made very clear before I came in and while I was playing their game for 2 hours. Finally we walk to finance, they need stuff from me. I ask should o come back after my meeting? How much do you need? I have 40 mins. I ask the finance guy he says like 20-30 mins, I ask salesperson how much he will need after. Finance man gets upset and say salesman isn't a part of this. I liked it a lot but they were rude, disrespectful and quite frankly the managers act as though they are to busy and they have plenty of sales.. cause they only thought of their need and didn't care about my time, what was already decided. I feel bad for salesman. He lost out because his managers don't need sales. They apparently have plenty.
