We used Camelback Moving on April 15 to move and store our household goods. Corey, Tomas, and Devin arrived promptly at 8:30 am and got right to work packing up our 3 bedroom house. Pros: Team of 3 to unload 4 PODS into a 3 bed/2 bath house. Including assembling 2 beds and putting legs on 2 tables, they were done in under 2 hours. They were awesome!! We were recently moved by 3 great guys Juan B, Michael M., and Jason. They were efficient and helpful. They were really nice and took pride in their work. They were respectful of our furniture and our home in a manner not seen by most movers today. They made sure our floors were protected as well as our items. From talking with Dan on the phone this is the best move we've experienced. Nothing was broken. Entryway was covered with red carpet Front Door jambs padded to prevent damage. We packed but they wrapped and carried it all. The 3 guys on our team were Juan, Eric and Bryant. Each one was friendly and willing to help in anyway we asked. Even when I changed my mind on placement of a few things and putting together our new tv stand. Nothing seemed too much for them. We had originally called a different company to move us. Boxes ready to go on a Saturday morning, beds ready to be disassembled, all ready to move into the new house - and the company never showed. It was a scheduling miscommunication, they had the wrong day on their schedule. I scrambled, looking for a company that could do same-day weekend moving. I jumped on Yelp and started calling. Some didn't answer. Some didn't have openings. Not only did Camelback answer, they had an opening and the truck could be at my house in an hour. The three crewmen were amazing - took great care to wrap everything, were careful about every single item being moved, very thorough with the walkthroughs, and the overall rate was competitive and comparable to other companies I spoke with. Simply: WOW! My fiancé and I just moved into our very first house with Camelback Moving. From booking to move-in day, saying we were well taken care of would be a huge understatement. We were put into a situation and did not know even what day we would be moving but had 3 different possibilities. DORIS went ahead and stayed on the phone with me for more than an hour just going over each possibility so I could have piece of mind. Any changes or worries I had were quickly quelled thereafter. Then on move-iday, we were assisted by JUAN S, JUAN B and PAUL. They came in with big smiles ready to get to work. We had a few piles of items that I simply couldn't get to or didn't know how to pack, and they went ahead and just packed it all up for us without any issue! When we arrived to the house, they did an awesome job protecting my walls and floors, and even made sure to let me know the moment any scuff or wall impact happened. At the end, there were no broken items, and only one scuff that was completely unavoidable as we have a tight corner at the foot of the stairs. I waited until a few days before my 9/21 move to look for movers. I called several companies based on a quick Google search. Camelback Moving was the most responsive, had the best availability given the time frame and had the most reasonable rates. I received a confirmation email, as well as a call in the days prior to confirm last minute details. On the morning of the move, Walter V. called with a more specific arrival time - and again when he was driving over. Walter V. and Byron arrived at the time Walter said they would. Both Walter and Byron were extremely professional, trustworthy, down to earth, personable and easy to work with. As a single female moving alone, I felt completely comfortable throughout the entire process and am so grateful to have worked with them. They were incredibly helpful, fast moving and extra cautious in handling. I also really appreciate how thorough they were with EVERYTHING from beginning to end (paperwork, explanation of the process, packaging, communicating elevator issues, etc.). My apartment complex has extremely minimal parking so moving from the second floor via elevator is a challenge to start. Unfortunately, Walter and Byron also encountered unfriendly neighbors who rudely made comments about holding the elevator (How else do you get furniture in?!). I have no idea how they were able to remain professional, but Walter and Byron handled the entire situation with grace and poise. I relocated to a first floor home so unloading was a much faster process. Walter and Byron moved quickly and efficiently. They were cautious in handling everything, and were attentive to my needs (ensuring everything placed where intended, disassembling and reassembling furniture). Again, Walter was thorough in his explanation of the end bill, did a final walk through and confirmed all questions were answered. A few days later I received a follow up call from Larry regarding the move. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND CAMELBACK MOVERS, SPECIFICALLY WALTER V. AND BYRON. we had to move recently and after calling a number of moving companies we called camelback moving, the lady asked a bunch of questions, found out what we needed and gave us a quote on the spot. The 4 man team, Daniel, Israel, Zack and Jacob were excellent, coordinated and respectful of all our possessions. they disassembled beds, wrapped furniture and knew what they were doing. when we got to the new house it was decided that the doors needed to come off the large refrigerator. Not a problem for this team. We were so impressed by their cheerful attitude and get it done outlook. If we had a problem they had a solution and the team made our downsizing move a breeze. We don't want to move very often but when we do we will call on Camelback Moving to get us to our new home. read more

2 1/2 stars. 9-21-18 updated review. After posting my original review the President of the company reached out to me to discuss my situation and come to a resolution. I am shocked at the care and consideration that was given to concerns. I have dealt with some pretty nasty movers in the past - so I was prepped for that sort of experience again. Far from it. Chad was very understanding and we came to a reasonable resolution. I really appreciate the time he took to reach out - it says a lot about a company when they take the time to do that. Based on all of this I definitely agree the rating should be 5 stars - and will use them again when I move in the future! Original review- The move started out well - Rene called and they showed up on time. Made good progress moving things up 3 flights which I give them a ton of credit for. That took 2 hours. When we made it to the new place which was air conditioned and had an elevator - it took 3.5. Now, I understand that the walk was long - but I took it the other day and it was 35 seconds. In addition - it took 40 mins from the time they showed up here and received the keys till the first load arrived in my apartment. I have them a lying dolly which would have helped about but wasn't used until the end. A mirror that was not wrapped properly broke - and I still have not received a follow-up call. It's been 5 days. Overall I am not comfortable with the amount of time in the 2nd trip. I feel a lot of it was uncounted for. Overall they did a good job - I was just disappointed in the overage in time and lack of follow-up. read more

9 moves in 9 years. For realz! I figured out that Minnie, my 9 year old dog, has moved 9 times since I adopted her 9 years ago when she was just 4 months old. (This means I've also moved 9 times in the last 9 years, but it's always cuter and more fun to put everything in terms of the pup.) Some of those moves have been easier than others and some have been a pain in the ass. Luckily, we used Camelback Moving again for this most recent move, and had another great experience. It probably helped that Jared did most of the delegating and working with CM's 3 man crew while Minnie and I got out of the way. But I did make the initial call to set it all up, and we were both pleased with the service and price. If I ever move again, I know who I'm gonna call. Camelback Moving is the BEST moving company I have ever used. In fact, I've used them twice to move locally in Phoenix. They were so great the 1st time, I didn't once think of using anyone else for my 2nd move. When you call to set your appt, they are professional, efficient and thorough. They don't mind fielding your questions and will be honest with you about their scheduling. I found out that you can save money if you move on a weekday, as opposed to a weekend. Their weekends fill up fast, too. When you make your appt, you're walked through the process. What they book for you depends on how much stuff you're moving and the layout of your current residence versus your new one. For example: 3 flights of stairs means higher cost, due to booking an extra set of hands. When you make your appt, you're given an hour time frame in which to expect them at your place. Maybe it's 8 or 9. Either way, this is the most punctual moving company I've ever used. A couple days before your move, you get a a reminder call. The day of your move, you get another call from the actual "moving men" to let you know they're on their way over to you. The 2nd time I moved, they were even early - by about 1/2 hour. The guys that show up to help are GREAT: friendly, polite, hard-working, fast and even lighthearted. Who knew? On the plus side: Not creepy whatsoever. So ladies, no worries when you got to move by yourself, like I did. Honestly, if you need to move, give these guys a call. I've moved over a dozen times in my life, and I can vouch that these guys are the real deal. They even take great care of your personal items - wrapping things in blankets and/or bubble wrap.
