This week, I, had the ""Most perfect" moving experience with Camelback Movers! There aren't enough superlatives to describe the professionalism, determination, and pride of workmanship......this company provide during a very difficult situation. From the beginning, Tina, was expert in helping and facilitating the planning. Thank you, Tina. But, it was the magnificent team of Marcos and Keith that won my heart, gratitude, and immeasurable thanks. They are a "team," like many famous duos......they work seamlessly. They are like Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers! Had Camelback move me last week. What an awesome job the guys did. Three years ago I moved and used another company. What a nightmare that was. Camelback goes above and beyond to wrap everything, they even clamp blankets on door jambs so they don't get scuffed up. They also roll out a red mat to keep floors clean. Brian Marshall, Eric Townsell and Masen Tinker were rockstars. They worked seven hours with very few breaks. They were also very nice polite and fun guys. DO NOT USE this company! They packed our moving truck for a cross country move. As you can see from the pictures below they literally threw the last bit of our furniture in the truck. We had blankets for them to wrap everything in and they were supposed to shrink wrap items with the blankets. It even says in their contract that they WILL TAKE CARE OF this. As you can see from the pictures they did not and they are now of course claiming that they have no liability after the goods leave their hands but the pictures I'm posting are of how they packed our items in the truck (no blankets and no shrink wrap) and expected them travel unharmed for 2200 miles. The sad thing is that the first of the two trucks was packed very well and all items were blanketed and shrink wrapped. They simply got lazy and tired at the end and didn't do a good job and then installed the bulkhead in the back of the truck so that we couldn't see what a terrible job they did until it was too late. Gross negligence on the part of this company. DO NOT TRUST this company! read more

It has been 5 weeks since our move and the damaged door is still not replaced. Chris has been working with us to try and fix it. Even came out himself to try and sand the door and stain it. As you can see from the photo it doesn't look quite right and now needs to be replaced. Alanzo was supposed to be out today at 2pm to fix the door so I took the day off but once again 2:40 and no one is here. This is the move that will never end! To update on other items for those following.. The missing items were returned. Kudos to a company for fast follow though on concerns. Definitely reccomend this company if you need movers. They were very professional and everything was handled with care. They worked quickly and efficiently but not so fast that I was ever worried about anything being damaged. Moving is always a pain in the butt, however, using movers to help makes the process so much easier that it almost becomes a completely pleasant process lol. We are beyond happy with the service Camelback Moving provided. I called and spoke with a representative about two weeks prior to the move. He explained everything upfront and then asked if I had any questions, which I appreciate it. On the day of the move, the foreman contacted us as scheduled and the crew arrived on time. They came and evaluated everything that needed to be moved and asked if there was anything special that needed to be wrapped that we hadn't done already since we packed ourselves. The crew got straight to work and completed the first half of the move in about an hour and a half. We then went to our storage unit which was half full and got that completed quickly as well. In all the move took about six hours. The entire crew, which consisted of four guys who were professional, courteous, and handled our items with care. They even went out their way to find extra material in their truck to lay down at our door at out new home to prevent tracking water in since it had rained. Unfortunately, we did have a few items very small get damaged, however they were upfront about it and when I saw the damage I had no issue and appreciated the honesty. This was my first time using a moving service and I was happy with this company I would definitely recommend them. read more

**Updated** Owner of the company contacted me to apologize, explain what happened, and described how they are improving to prevent a repeat of my experience. We landed with other movers, but it was a great gesture on his part. ************* So, my wife and I are moving and contacted Camelback Moving. They did a wonderful job for us in 2012. We received an initial response with some odd numbers (e.g., rate = $15000/hour) and replied with a few questions and to confirm a reservation. No response. Emailed the representative, Stephanie B, again. Still no reply. After a week, I left work early and called. The response: We are booked, now. Little excuse for putting a customer in that kind of a spot because you forget to respond to emails. So, we'll scramble to find alternative movers. Very much a letdown after having a great experience with them in the past. But, can't recommend them anymore with that big a fail. read more

We've moved all over the world our pack outs we're done by professionals and we looked at the 5 stars and decided to go with them. We had a 3 thousand square foot home when crew arrived it said one thousand. After the move and the pack out I still had too move out of my own home because they the movers didn't do their job. This was my first time hiring movers. The recommendation came from a coworker who spoke highly of the company, so I gave it a shot. Overall, I am very satisfied with the experience. The initial setup (going over the quote, etc.) over the phone had a lot of questions, but beyond that, there were no real issues. My expected window for their arrival was 7:30AM-9:30AM; I received a call around 7:30 that they were on their way and they showed up roughly 30 minutes later. Each of the three guys were friendly. We only needed them to handle all of our larger furniture. This also included disassembling our bedframe, which they were able to do within minutes (and put it back together at the new place). They even assisted with taking apart and reassembling a recliner that I needed out of a room, but not moved as I was selling it. The rest of our furniture was wrapped neatly for protection. What we had moved included our mattress, bedframe, dresser, two nightstands, about 7-8 shelves of varying sizes, a large couch, a metal/glass display stand, a heavy aquarium stand (still boxed), a small desk, a TV, a free-standing bar with heavy glass panels, a couple of floor lamps and a fan. With all of that, they had the truck packed in only a little over an hour. Including the drive to the new place and bringing everything in (which includes going up stairs), it took only 3 hours and they were done around 11AM. No damage to the furniture, no issues finding either location. It was a very easy experience and was monumentally faster than if we tried to move all of this ourselves; maybe even cheaper than getting our own truck and spending hours trying to load it. I would definitely recommend Camelback Moving and will absolutely hire them again whenever I move. read more

Fantastic experience. The guys came on time, were courteous & professional. We moved from Chandler to Phoenix and it took them 2 hours to load and 2 to unload. They discuss cut slack, worked continuously, wrapped everything very neatly and delivered everything without any damages. I'd most definitely recommend this company. I would recommend using a different company. They concealed costs with their estimate, and did not fully disclose the total price until after the move. They strongly encouraged using 3 movers for 3 hours. My move took 2 movers less than an hour total to load/unload. Total cost = more than $500. They assured me that I needed more than I did and tried to upsell me way more than was necessary. They tried to follow up and ask about my experience and when I brought up my concerns they said they record all the conversations and would review my call, and follow up with me. They have been avoiding me ever since, and have not fulfilled the commitment to following up. The movers were great and hard working, but that's it. There are more honest, and affordable options out there. read more

Highly recommended! Camelback Moving performed a great job moving my Mother in Laws things to Illinois. Great customer service and communication. It cost a little more than other carriers that put your items in with other moves. We had a dedicated truck with only our items in it. The truck arrived right on time. Sean and Nick worked very quickly (which was great since they are paid by the hour) and were very cautious with our belongings. They finished the job in 3.25 hours which included a trip from Central Phoenix to Peoria. What is also nice is that Camelback Moving bills in 15min increments after two hours is reached. I have used Camelback Moving on 3 moves since relocating to Phoenix in 2008. It's a very difficult space they occupy and I don't envy the challenges they face. Still, this company is without question the premier mover in Arizona (and probably well beyond). Was everything perfect in all of our moves? No. But packing, loading and moving offers a myriad of possibilities for error. At the end of the day what you need is professionalism, experience and accountability. They own that space. Crews are professional and estimation is realistic. Ownership is engaged and accountable. Not much more you can ask. Moving is a difficult and sometimes emotional experience, so surprises are unwelcome. Camelback excels in communication and transparency. I hope we won't require moving services in the foreseeable future. However, if we do, I will dial up Chad and his good team without hesitation. I needed to move recently from a home to an apartment. Due to the lack of space for large trucks at my new home, efficiency was key. I called and was offered a moving date of Labor Day, only a few days after I called! The gentleman who helped me on the phone was friendly and helpful. On moving day, I was assisted by 2 gentlemen, Kevin Place and Kyler Bilbrey, who were on time, friendly, efficient, professional and excellent at their jobs. We moved from California to Arizona and decided to use an Arizona moving company instead. They were much more reasonable and their customer service was great! I worked with Tina Edwards to set everything up and she was terrific. Very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The whole process was seamless. Marcos was our driver and they used the best people locally in both states. They were professional and worked hard making sure that we were satisfied with everything. I called around for prices and Camelback was slightly higher than other 4+star rated moving companies. I went ahead and chose them because of their BBB rating and because of received by other Yelpers I know personally and trust their opinions. I don't have anything terribly negative to say, nor do I have anything glowing to offer. I don't have a lot of things, so I consider my move easy for 3 guys. 3 years ago I paid a different company almost $200 or so less to move the exact same stuff to almost a similar house in a similar distance. So that had me miffed. In almost an hr less time. I discovered this in my packing when I found the receipt of my move 3 yrs ago. I think they could improve how things are done...#1 During packing, I saw guys leave the house empty-handed to walk to the truck. Needs no explanation. #2. Too many phone calls. Again, a no brainer. #3 more ties in the truck I guess. I walked outside to understand why one guy had not come back in after a long time... he was standing holding a box spring, waiting on the other two to pack and bring a mattress. To me, a colossal waste of time. I got aggravated and decided then they each wouldn't get the $20 per person tip I normally give movers. He could have tied the box spring and walked back for more stuff in the time it took them to bring the mattress. Or just lean the box spring on the side until the mattress was ready. #4 I feel for people who smoke, I do. But I detest smoking , smoke breaks and everything involving smoking when servicing people in their homes. Grant it, they documented their 20 min break, but who wants to smell smoke at home? Not me. Fortunately, the men were pleasant. They came on time. All of my things arrived safe and sound. Other than the smell of smoke and phone calls, they were professional. I've moved four times in the past 18 months and This was probably the nicest and most professional group of movers I have had! I was the second move of the day so it was a later start than I would like, but they were super energetic. The had the contents of my two bedroom apartment blanketed, shrink wrapped and loaded in an hour and a half! When we got to the new hone, they helped me relocate a giant fridge, unloaded the entire truck and adjust the position of major items. And NOTHING was damaged! By far the best and most amazing moving company I've ever worked with. Having moved all over the country several times in the last several years, I've unfortunately become very accustomed to moving. When the time came to move in Scottsdale, I was impressed and blown away by the reviews of Camelback moving. Their rates are competitive, their customer service is wonderful, and the preparation leading up to the move is seamless. But perhaps the most impressive part of the operation was the actual interaction with the two movers themselves. Solomon and Chris were extremely professional, kind, efficient, trustworthy, caring, and went out of their ways to help us with any and everything we needed. From taking cautious care with our valuables, to shrink wrapping furniture, to being gentle and maneuvering large items through small staircases, they never once had anything less than a huge smile on their faces. Hopefully, I don't have to move anytime soon, but if I do, I will be sure to go out of my way to request Solomon and Chris, and exclusively go with Camelback moving. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! I can not believe all the positive reviews! Am I just this unlucky?!?! I am so upset that it took me a while to even be able to write this review. I knew I was taking a chance not buying the insurance - but at the same cost of the movers I just could not afford it. And I thought - how bad could it be?! It was bad. So bad. My hope in writing this review is that I will save one person from going through this experience. Almost every piece of my furniture was damaged. Pictures enclosed. The movers were very nice - but they were way more concerned about the TVs and furniture that they had received from the last move they completed as a "Donation" then they cared about my stuff. They had to rearrange my furniture twice in the trunk in order to accommodate my belongings because they didn't want their TVS damaged and the other furniture was taking up quite a bit of space at the front of the truck. They at first suggested just making two trips. This was infuriating - at $159.00/hr they are expecting me to pay them for even more time due to poor planning on their part? So, now I am assuming in the shuffling of furniture in the truck is when most of the damage to my furniture occurred. They had wrapped everything before removing the furniture but when it arrived at the 2nd location most of the blankets had fallen off (see pics). I thought they were being considerate when they said I could keep the moving blankets to place the furniture where I wanted it - but I now believe they didn't want me to see all the damage until after they left. When I removed the blankets little pieces of wood, etc were throughout (pics again) and that's when I could see all the scrapes, digs etc. Also, due to their poor planning/packing of the truck - they figured out as they were about to leave to the 2nd location that they could not fit the ramp into the truck. I guess they normally slide it along the side - but this is where their TVs now were. So they had to leave the ramp at the 1st location, and use the powered ramp to unload the truck at the 2nd location. This took forever! As the ramp moving up and down was ridiculously slow. Extremely frustrating as again, I am paying by the hour. I also then needed to follow them back to the 1st location after they unloaded the truck to get the ramp out of my garage. So unprofessional. Needless to say I am devastated. And out a lot of money with now damaged furniture. I can believe people do this for a living and care so little about others peoples stuff. read more

We have used a number of different movers in the past, and these guys were the best we have used BY FAR!! We had 2 different trucks and 6 guys moving 2 separate households into one 3200 sq ft home. There were elevators and stairs involved. Yet these guys got it all done in record time! They started on time at 8 and were done at 1:30, including all beds put together and set up, and moving an antique organ upstairs. They were polite, professional, friendly, and efficient. Nothing was broken and no damage to any of the households. And to top it off - this was one of the cheapest moves we have done!! I've now used Camelback Moving twice and I've been very happy with that decision each time. The first time, I was moving out of a second story apartment and the movers had to hoist furniture down off the balcony to the first floor, they pulled it off no problem and with no damage to my furniture. The second time was much simpler, just moving into my new house and it was a really quick move. All of the costs were explained to me up front and all of their steps for packing, moving, and unpacking were explained as they happened. Their estimate for how long it would take was accurate for both moves so there were no unexpected extra charges. 10/10 would use these folks again. Called for a quote, booked (on a Saturday) & 2 hours later Jonathan, Rodney, & Marcos Morales showed up. Within an hour they moved all our bulky furniture (living room, dining room, bedroom, 2 desks) into a pod that was located outside of our apartment complex on the street (apartment complex didn't allow it inside). We are SO impressed with how efficient they were. They know how to use to the most of the space provided, remembered the requests we made (we have kayaks to add later and they left room), and were friendly/respectful. Me and my fiancé recently moved into a new home in north Scottsdale a couple of weeks ago. Neither of us had used professional movers before so we had no idea what to expect. Our 3 movers were Juan B, Robert, and Tyler and they did an incredible job. They could tell we had never used movers before so they politely told us to relax and let them do their thing. They made the process of moving seamless and took a lot of the stress away. From start to finish the job took about 6 hours and they even went above and beyond by installing our bed into our new house.
