I used Camelback Moving to move from an apartment to a condo a few months ago. My apartment was a third floor walkup, so there was no way I was doing that myself! I called probably about 3 weeks in advance and had no problem setting up the move for a Saturday. They called to remind me about the move the day before, and called right before they arrived, which was right on time. The movers were EXCELLENT. They made it look easy to carry all my stuff down those three flights of stairs. They were also friendly and totally professional. I was able to schedule Camelback Moving on short notice, on the weekend day & time that I needed. The two movers arrived on time and were ready to work. Both were very efficient, thorough and careful. While one guy was disassembling my CA king bed frame, the head board fell on him (luckily, it's padded!) and knicked my wall. He was very honest and apologetic. I told him not to worry since I was going to touch up all the paint anyways. Really recommend this company if you are moving soon! We called a week before our move and they had no problem getting us in! what i really liked is that before you move in they really break down your whole house so you know what you need to pack and what you don't. they gave us a 12-3 window but were at our house at 12:15. the three man who moved us were very professional and great, really showed they knew what they were doing and cared. they have a very large truck which fit our whole house and then some. also, they have wardrobe boxes so we didn't have to pack up all our hung up items. so awesome. they were fair priced, came out to about $600 for everything (3 bedroom house to 4 bedroom house) but very worth it with this company! read more

Cost wise they were about the same as others but the difference was the follow up from the office. I used Camelback Moving for a move scheduled in mid March - I chose them after calling several different companies which were more expensive and less professional. I chose an hourly rate with 2 men and 1 truck (at the recommendation of the company) - I was hesitant to do this because I was concerned that the company would have less incentive to work quickly. On the day of the move, my movers - Adam and Marc - called 30 minutes before their arrival, arrived ON TIME and immediately went to work. They worked quickly and efficiently. I have a HUGE bed with posts and a headboard/footboard. They took it apart in 45 minutes (this is a minor miracle being that it took much longer for the actual designer of the bed to put it together) and then put it back together in record speed. Everything arrived at my new house in perfect condition, they placed everything where I wanted it and were so nice about it!! Camelback Moving is a 5 star company! Camelback came in, did a free in home (and storage unit) estimate, got back to us with a competitive price and very upfront "fine print". We were impressed with their professionalism and timeliness. They picked up everything on Friday and had our stuff to our new place by Sunday morning (over 700 miles away). The only cons were very minimal. The references for interstate moves were old phone numbers, and it took longer than I was expecting to get our estimate back... but it was tax season, so I understand. We're replacing flooring and having our home painted so needed all the furniture moved, including an oversized custom cabinet. We also had a safe that was bolted into the ground. One company we hired was unable to move the large cabinet and safe, so I contacted Camelback. They were able to schedule us the same day and the crew were fantastic! They were able to move both pieces professionally and efficiently with care for our belongings. Also, when I called to schedule I wanted to confirm that they could move the large pieces and they assured me they could. The manager even called me later to follow up given my concern. Moved last Friday in 120 degree heat. Movers Jason and Chad showed up on time. Both guys worked 8 hours straight in the heat, fit everything into their truck perfectly on the 1st try when I was sure it would take two trips. They weren't notified that my new house was two stories but didn't complain at all when they got there and realized most of my items needed to be hauled to the second floor. These guys were the most hard working professional moving crew I've ever seen. They were clear on the charges, explained the invoice in detail and made sure everything was where I needed it to be before leaving for the day. Excellent in every way! Hats off to both crews that moved us! We had a three man crew the first day. They had to deal with two bedrooms upstairs. The truck was packed to the rafters. Everyone kept moving and they took great care to protect our items with shrink wrap and blankets. The second crew arrived at our new home a day later (as requested) because of one of many foul ups by our buyers mortgage company (Suburban mortgage/the worst/see my previous review). The two man crew kept moving as well and did an excellent job. They asked questions on placement and took care not to damage our goods or the new house. Thank you to both crews. We only had two things broken during this move and that was completely our doing. A special mention goes to Stephanie in the office. She handled our scheduling, re-scheduling and rerescheduling (again thanks to the above named mortgage company) with patience, kindness and understanding. The crew I had was the hardest working i could imagine. My whole house was loaded up within 90 minutes and the unload was even faster. Moved all the way across town with all of my stuff, start to finish, in 2.5 hours. Great price, funny and hard working crew, and perfect quality. Nothing missing, everything placed right where i needed it, and the guys even helped move furniture downstairs for a donation pickup I scheduled for later. Couldn't ask for a better move. Also, I loved that before the move, they emailed a very candid explanation of insurance, that they insured based on weight, and that I should contact my homeowner's insurance or take out a one time policy if I wanted to. I had initially done the first part of my move with a buddy of mine and a UHaul and that was pretty much enough for me! Camelback moving was great with scheduling a quick turn around for me with excellent customer service! The morning of the move my 2 movers rolled with the punches with the mixup from management at my storage company and the extreme heat (because of course we all love to move in the god forsaken heat of summer!). They were speedy, friendly, and did an overall great job! And for all of you who are budget conscious like I am - in my particular situation it actually would have been cheaper to go with camelback moving for both legs of my move then renting a UHaul and doing the work by myself. My only regret is that, having experience with moving companies, I did way too much work on my own beforehand getting things ready and more packed up, when the crew that serviced us would have done it 100 times faster and it wouldn't have cost me all that much more. EXCELLENT SERVICE FROM start to finish! The prep from the guy on the phone during my initial inquiry, was great. He asked every question from a very comprehensive list that really helped. They offered included wardrobe boxes, television boxes, blankets, clear plastic wrap. They quoted me a price, however my mistake on the "long carry" i thought was a short carry, so make sure you ask your new building where the movers have to unload and carry in the items because a long carry means more time! Anyway, these guys were great and very conscientious during the whole move and really took care to do everything right. I was so happy with my choice, they showed up ON TIME and they were kind and friendly and answered any questions I had very patiently. I highly recommend this company as you really do get what you pay for and I'm glad i had absolutely NO worries during this move! Solomon and Moses were fantastic and I really honestly will use this company again the next time i move. My husband and I used Camelback Moving twice within a month. The first time they moved us from a rental house to one we purchased which was 1.3 miles away. Honestly, 1.3 or 1,300 it's still a move.
