Referred to Jagger Hays by a client of mine, showed up to our appointment and found out he was not there, so never met him be he sounds like a nice guy.. His "team leader" who looked like an imitation Kim Kardashian was one of the most condescending rude people I have ever had the misfortune of working with.. The 2019 Rav 4 Limited I looked at had a sticker price on the front dash of 34k and I had a 2016 Toyota Carolla to trade in.. Kelly Blue Book is around 10.5k. She proceeds to tell me that i'm looking at the "wrong cars" for what I can "afford" (I said I wanted to keep it under $500 a month payment), which is presumptuous and straight up rude. Last week I visited 3 separate Toyota dealerships. First I ended up driving out to the one in Tempe/ Chandler. I reached out about a specific 4Runner and even checked the availability before driving all the way down there. Total waste of my time because it was not available. In fact , an employee picked it up from Tucson, knowing that he had already sold and still listed on the website. I hate when dealerships do this!! Catfishing a car is unethical and pathetic. The next dealership I drove to was in North Scottsdale. The guys were super aggressive. That's such a turn off for me. I even tried very hard to explain that I specifically do not want anything to do with a lease, they would not back down. Their loss! The aggressiveness about the leasing pushed me right out the door. Later I found out they are known for this. It's part of their training program to push leasing . Needless to say, I finally left knowing I had ZERO interest in purchasing a vehicle from the Scottsdale dealership. The next morning I checked out Camelback Toyota. I was introduced to Ralph. I've used Camelback Toyota for all my SERVICE & PARTS needs for nearly 8 years. I live downtown and find that this location is easy to get to and from plus I figure it's convenient to everywhere in Central City. I've never had a problem with a Toyota location but have found that this particular Toyota is very friendly and professional. They provide that little something extra in their customer service. While I've really appreciated the free WiFi access and coffee & snack bar during long waits, I typically use their Lyft ride share or courtesy rental car services. These are free of charge! I bought a car from them a year ago, they kept spamming my phone to come in because of the new buyback program... on the phone they said they would get me in a new rav4 with the same payment I have, but reset the loan. And they would value my car 20% market value. When I walked in i soon found out all this was a lie. They didn't even have any new rav4s. They initially showed me a few used ones with twice as many miles as the car that I was trading in, but way more expansive. I had clearly stated I was interested in a new car if I was going to sell mine. Obviously no new RAV4s on the lot, but they had one with 9000 miles which was more expansive than a brand new one. The biggest shock was when they offered me 15k for a car I bought last year for 23k. I put less than 10k in miles, it's a 2020 cx5. It had 32k miles, now it has 41k. Long story short they wasted my time for an hour and a half until I had enough and asked for my car keys back. Please, please, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else to buy a car. My initial sales person was from Kuwait, and then his manager's name was Yas. Both using typical dirty car salesmen techniques by false advertising to get your foot in the door, and the waste your time and exhaust you until you hopefully agree to a horrible deal. We were told by the salesperson (Brent) up ahead that the price was sticker and that there were no extra add on's. Prior to driving to Phoenix, we asked again and were told by Brent that there were no additional costs or added items. Sitting down to do the paperwork, that was not the case. He misrepresented what he told us in hopes that we would still buy the car with the 3 extra items and additional cost that was added to the sticker price. He told me even though my credit score was fine, that because I'd never financed a car I had to go through American Credit Acceptance with a 28% APR. I found out that was a complete lie. Then strongarmed me into an extended warranty, which didn't fix a single problem Ive had. And there's been numerous problems. I brought my Tacoma in for a recall to fix a possible leak around the light in the top/back of the cab on January 20, 2025. Within an hour and after their "27 point inspection" I received an email telling me I needed a transmission fluid exchange, fuel induction service, brake fluid exchange, drive belt replacement, radiator hose package, 4 wheel drive service and power fluid exchange for a grand total of $2,269.69. The truck has less than 40,000 miles. I refused all the "repairs." Less than an hour later, I received a call from the service guy that the light in question almost fell out when touched by the repair shop, the light did not work and that it would cost $998.40 to replace! This claim is absolutely false. I went four wheeling four days prior and the light was perfectly secure. Also, the light worked flawlessly. When I got home, I tried to confirm if there was a problem. On the left side of the light it could be pulled back 1/4 inch. No movement whatsoever on the right. Light works perfectly. My cost of repair---$1 for some silicone. This has probably been my worst car buying experience and I have bought 5 cars. First when I contacted Camelback Toyota and asked about a white Prius I was told that it was in stock. I was already approved with my bank and had my loan approval. I went down there and was told that the car was in one of the sister stores. After some back and forth we agreed on the price and I decided to get the car. I had already put a security deposit for another Toyota and Earnhardt Toyota in Mesa but didn't like the color. I asked Ryan and Danya again if the car was available and told them that I was going to cancel my order with Earnhardt. "yes the car is available " they said. I signed some basic paperwork and was waiting for them to bring the car. 2 hours and 30 minutes and the sales rep "Danya" told me that it might be a little longer and I could go home and she would call me. Of course she didn't call me. Tomorrow morning I called and inquired about the car and was told that the manager of the other store was going to send the car to them but he was busy at the moment. I went there again and the sales rep told me that the car was sold since it's first come first served! So like that I canceled and lost my order with Earnhardt Toyota and I couldn't get a car with camelback Toyota. I was told by Camelback Toyota that there was a white one coming in few weeks. So I waited and went down there on the day and Danya told me that the car is being prepared and the windows are being tinted! "Cool" I said. This was 8am. We had some complications with the loan but I had Toyota run my credit to have a backup contract until I figured out my own financing. We were done around 2:30 pm or so with the finance person and asked Danya if the car was ready. She kept giving us the runaround and even Mike in finance was shocked that the car was not ready. We waited another hour and the car was not ready and then Ryan the manager came and told us that they would deliver the car and we could go home. OK! We went home and they delivered the car around 6 pm with NO window tint!! And NO spare key. She told me that they were going to mail the keys and I haven't received them after a month! The day I bought the vehicle I test drove it and I automatically fell in love with the car but the AC wasn't throwing cold air, I still love the car so I proceeded to buying it with the condition of them fixing the AC. They said yes it was only going to take a few hours and then I can take it home that same day. I bought the car I signed all the paperwork I went through the long process of waiting and signing a bunch of paperwork. Then after five hours of being there they tell me the car actually needs an AC part (they tell me this after I signed everything and bought the vehicle) I said that's fine just because I can't really undo everything I just did. Long story short I got the car on Wednesday NIGHT. I had taken my vehicle home around 8pm then the next day I noticed this big black stain on the Seat that wasn't there before when I test drove it. I immediately called my salesman to let him know the issue and he dead ass told me that " we were going to figure it out, and they're going to call me to fix it" I waited a week and nothing, so I decided to call him and He wouldn't pick up his phone, so I called the dealership and everyone was telling me different things just kind of avoiding me, everyone kept saying I had just had to talk to My salesman and I kept telling them he never answers so how am I supposed to fix it with him if he doesn't answer?! Anyways I go down to the dealership in person and it took me a long time to do this just because I live almost an hour away. But I went to the dealership I had to go to one of the managers so that my problem can actually be fixed, he took a look at it and said they were going to call me back when the piece would get there because they were going to replace that fabric. The problem is barely being fixed which I completely understand and I'm trying to be patient here. But there's ANOTHER problem besides the whole seat thing. I was also supposed to get two key fobs for my car and I only got one, my salesman told me the last time I saw him in person (when I drove home with the car) said he was going to mail me the other key fob because they didn't have it in the dealership. Its been about a month and I still haven't received anything. I call every day and they just keep telling me I have to talk to him. It was just problem after problem with this dealership and I sincerely feel like my first experience from buying out of a big car dealership was just horrible. If I could take it back I would! So we were driving home tonight and I get a call from Brent Harris and Camelback Toyota. Tells us that they are offering a lot of money on used Corolla's. We said what we owed and that the car had a small dent. He said no problem bring the car in. He can get us in a new Corolla or Camry with 1.9% financing since we paid on time over the last 12 months. Are payment would be the same or lower. Cool. He said he would be there until 9:00 tonight. We made an appointment for 5:15 PM. We walk in exactly at 5:15. First of all, they have their vultures outside taking dibs on the cars that drive in. We go to the front desk who starts calling around for us looking for Brent. 20 minutes later another salesman comes up to us to tell us Brent left for the day. Good show, Brent. Anyway, the great deal on the trade in was $10,000 short of what was said over the phone. Not really too surprised about that. Plus they do not offer 1.9% on the Camry's. We went to Camelback Toyota to find a used car during their liquidation sale. They were advertising that they had many used cars for under $10,000. We showed up in two separate cars and as we were coming out of the doors of our cars, two separate salesman approached us. Once they realized we were together they jokingly fought over who was going to help us. When they found out we were there for a used car instead of a new car, they both walked away. We finally found a used car sales rep, who took us inside and took the information of what we were looking for. He then disappeared for a good 45 minutes. He said he was going to show us three different cars. Never said what they were or gave us any information on them. It took another 20 minutes for him to pull one of the cars up. Mind you he did not show us any inventory or ask us what we would be interested in seeing, he just brought out cars. The first car he brought out was a Dodge Charger with 170,000 mi on it. We had said we wanted something with low mileage. Plus, it was not a very fuel efficient car. Then we sat for another half hour before he showed up with his " manager " who said he was there to help expedite the process since we had already been there for almost 2 hours. A half an hour later after we gave him the same exact information that we gave the other salesman, I had to chase him down as he was coming out of the bathroom and he said "oh they're bringing another car down for you." The car that they showed us was beat up, and very old. At that point my son just wanted to take his keys and go home. It was an extremely disappointing situation, and I thought everything was handled extremely poorly. How do you not show someone inventory instead of just pulling cars up willy-nilly? My daughter bought a car at Camelback Toyota and took it to them when she had a nail in her tire. Working around her schedule at her job, she dropped it off towards the end of the day for Camelback. She was told they couldn't get to it until the next morning. When she called the next day in the afternoon she was told it has been done. She called even later when she knew she would be off work, and they said it was done and they would call with an after-hours pickup time. She finally had to call regarding the after-hours pickup because they never called, and the gal answering the phone was super snotty saying, "Yeah, it'll have to be after hours because we close in two minutes." Then she's told just come down and the keys will be with the receptionist. She goes to pickup her car, and there are no keys at reception and when the receptionist tries to help her by calling someone, the receptionist gets chewed out for calling him. They looked around for the car since they had a second key, and found it, with the nail still in the tire! That's lousy service across the board in my book. When I went to get my car serviced this last time I was informed they had a glass company on site (Arrowhead) that could do the work for me. After picking up my car I eventually noticed a leak coming from the top and called to have it repaired. The man who came stated he "did the best he could" and to call the glass company with any other issues. When I went to look at the area (pictured) I was upset to find black sealant on my roof upholstery. When I tried to calling to discuss the issue with Toyota I was sent to a voicemail and have yet to be called back. I am starting to rethink my Toyota purchase. Had my tags sent to an old address when I purchased at Camelback Toyota, had to go to the DMV and purchase new ones. Thought I was doing an oil change on 5/25/24 at Toyota of Surprise, turns out it was just a tire rotation. Is the oil changes on my new Camry every 10000 miles, I am assuming it's because they are covered with my warranty. I was notified of an oil leak on a brand new car, I scheduled an appointment with Alex. Please see Alex if you want bad customer service and no options for the repairs. In November 2022, i came to CB Toyota, for assistance on getting a new vehicle after a severe car accident. I found a car that was said to be a certified pre-owned vehicle, and I loved it so I decided to go into buying it. Prior to leaving dealer after signing paperwork was told I would likely get an 8% interest rate. Later to find that the finance guy told the bank loaners that I was taking it back to mt, which never even happened, to then get 21% interest with excellent credit. I was in a desperate for a vehicle situation and I thought I could trust a dealership but I was taken advantage of for not only my age, 20, but for being a women. I was told the car body would be fixed up for me and the tint fixed and those things never occurred. When I brought this up the guy who sold me the car said that wasn't apart of their preparation. Finally I received the car a week after buying, to have the aux not work, the right side door lock broken, fog lights busted out and tint inside peeling. After having the car for not even a month the check engine light buzzed on, I took it in immediately and had 2 things out in the car needing replaced. Once again I was out of a car, making payments, and nothing was done for me except for the services being covered, which was the bare minimum that could have been done in this situation. A couple weeks later, after having no vehicle, no ability to get to work etc, I got the car back. A couple days went by and the check engine light turned on again. I took it in and something else was wrong on the car so I additionally complained about the door lock, tint and aux. Once again got it back to only have it for a couple weeks before the check engine light once again turned on in the midst of me nannying. I needed to transport the kiddos and I was nannying for a week. Also want to note that during this time the six still wasn't fixed and the tint that was "redone" was lighter than the rest of the car windows and to this day still looks awful. I wasn't able to get a rental car or anything and nothing was done for me even though I needed transportation for my week long nannying job. Finally that was fixed and I brought in for an oil change to find out my fog lights were busted out, meaning I also received the car with that fault as well. With the number of times and weeks my car was in the shop, I never got compensated for a payment, provided gas cards, a rental vehicle/Uber gift card, nothing after spending hours and weeks in their service department and without a car. A man laughed in my face several times about demanding they fix this car to the fullest. I was paying for a car that was recently bought and was destined for a junk yard. Today I am struggling to get rid of the car because of how much they screwed me over with the auto loan and yesterday replaced the dead battery. I would stay far away from many of the individuals here that don't care about you or your safety. I have not felt safe driving a car in so long because of what I have been through with Camelback Toyota, their reviews on Google are fake lies and I wish I would've known how bad they could be before ever giving them my business. read more

Get there and the interest rate went down but what she added cost approx $1500 more but only increased the monthly payment by $10. She made it sound like they were giving me this great warranty for all my inconvenience yesterday. Whatever! Resign and while waiting I ran into a family that was there the day before. Gentleman says you'll never guess why we are back... these people sent them home in the wrong car. They received a call in the morning explaining what happened and to bring the car back in. Why couldn't they bring the correct car to them and take back the first one. I bet they sold the one they were supposed to get because they were waiting on more papers to sign. I can't wrap my head around that one. Never will I do any business with any camelback dealerships. All I have heard from former employees, my experience and their actions .....NEVER when a finance manager comes out and says that's not what's taking long, you were misled with a standard line..,I was angry. When they sell something that does not pertain to my vehicle, I was angry. Worst experience yet purchasing a car. Used 2019 not even a new one. Took my car here for an oil change. I usually get service elsewhere. Made an appointment with service advisor Cameron. From the moment I arrived, he is trying to upsell service at any point possible. Before my service was started, I asked for the $79.95 synthetic oil change which is currently advertised on their website. First, Cameron stated he could only honor it if I showed him on my personal electronic device. I didn't want to pull up a non-business related site on my work phone, so I asked if he could pull it up on his computer (which was right there and online). He just sat there. So out comes my work phone- I started to pull it up, he demanded I email him a copy of the coupon. This is a $10 coupon. I pull it up on my phone. He then asks what appears to be a supervisor next to him if he can honor it. The supervisor seemed as dumbfounded as I was and said "yes". So the coupon is applied, and Cameron starts taking my personal info including my email address. I asked not to be added to a distribution list, yet he didn't uncheck the enrollment box- I saw it. Totally pissed me off. I'm a member of a Toyota owning family in which we pay cash for sales, and own 6 Toyotas between all of us. Three have very high miles and are ready to be replaced, including mine. This hassle over a $10 coupon cost Camelback my cash sale. My last purchase was at Right Toyota and the next one will be, too. If i could give a negetive star I would. These guys are snakes and trash. Spent 3 hrs working a deal with Alec the floor manager and Kris salesman, on a truck that wasn't even on the ground. Signed the paper that they said once truck hits the ground we walk the paper over and its yours. Next morning he said truck was at drop off lot and they where getting it. We drove to the lot and they sold it out from under us. Lying. And Alec saying we had to be there for him to turn in the SIGNED paper to hold it. They sold it out from under us. They did have another truck. But based on principle and integrity. We walked. Alec was supposedly in the army. He has 0 honor. Might as well be a used car salesman. Just a snake. This isn't what I was expecting to do, but it had to be done. First entering into Camelback Toyota, I was given really great service by my salesman and his manager. My family and I returned a total of 3 times because we were really happy with the service they provided us. However, the 3rd time we returned was to look at one specific car. After being in contact all morning and week with our sales guy, we made sure the car that we wanted was there before we headed over. We test drove the car and went to sit down, but then they came over to tell us the car was sold this morning. We were a little confused as I texted my salesman an hour prior making sure the car was still there and hadn't been sold yet. Comes back again 5 minutes later saying it was just sold... he tried to work with us and show us a different one, but the numbers on this one ended up being $4k higher than what they told us the last time we were there. They ended up telling us this is "the best they can do and the lowest they could go". We ended up speaking to the "manager" (I think his name was Mario), who happened to be this guy sitting at the computer, and also happened to be an ass of a man. He was the true definition of a sleazy salesman: someone who only cared about making a sale, not keeping a customer's business. He provided 0 help and kept on saying "I'm not sure why he would tell you that". Providing good business means not throwing your employees under the bus, and advocating for them, which is the complete opposite of what this guy did. Mind you, while this was happening, our salesman (who we've been in contact for the past month and created good relations with) was sitting there shaking his head to his coworker. The "manager" didn't seem like he was sorry, and didn't provide a solution to the issue that they caused. Everything that came out of his mouth sounded like excuses, and from that point on, we realized talking to him was like talking to a wall. We left, and will no longer be returning. My family and I returned not once, not twice but three times, hoping that they could provide us with great business. Instead, we ended up being extremely disappointed and felt disrespected. Took my truck in to get check engine light checked and got told they wanted to charge me 900 dollars to run there test when truck still is covered under power train warranty and they know something is going on with engine as it is running rough the truck also just passed the 36k mile bumper to bumper warranty by about 1,800 miles and they were not working with me at all to help me find out what was wrong with my 1 year old truck that had 37k miles that I bought from them I spoke to the service advisor manager! And he basically started yelling at me on the phone and arguing with me and very rudely said he can't do nothing to help me in any way mean and mean while they had it in for a check engine light they were inside my truck look at the cabin air filter witch was brand new and saying that needed to get replaced and service adviser manger said him self that has nothing to do with the check engine light my buying experience was great I bought 2 cars from them but service advisor manger was terrible has no respect for customers and does not even try to work something out with you to explain anything this experience makes me not want to buy any other Toyotas and definitely not take it to the service team read more

You would assume that when putting a request in through Costco and dealing with the internet sales team that they would be less sleazy than the typical car salesman. Not true at Camelback Toyota. I told Eddie Mkpanam, the Internet Sales Manager, that I was only interested in a silver all wheel drive Camry. He told me he just got two in that were silver AWD. Surprise surprise when I arrived there were no silver or AWD Camrys. Complete waste of time. Steer clear of Camelback Toyota. They will say anything to try and get you on the lot. read more
