Monday I made a request for appointment for flat tire check and tire rotation as indicated on dashboard. Appointment was set for Tuesday, 10:30 am. I checked in with Brandon Whittaker 10:30 and agreed to an oil change as well. After two hours waiting asked about car. Was reprimanded for asking in a manner that Brandon did not like. Car was parked untouched. Was told did not know when it would be ready. As I had a 2:30 work schedule, I could not wait more than another hour. Thus, I took back my car and left. Worst dealership in AZ stay away they are very unethical and will lie to your face. I went to the dealership on Sept 21 2024 because I was interested in a 2024 Toyota Sienna Platinum that was in transit, upon arrival I was met by sales lady Jackie we sat and talked for a little bit and she brought her sales manager we went over pricing and agreed on a price both Manager and I signed the price paper sheet. On Oct 1st I received a call from Jackie saying the vehicle was a hour out and to come in to purchase the car, I live a hour out and I asked if anyone else was interested and she said no and if there were I was ahead because I signed the price agreement and would just go straight to financing, So I start to head tot he dealership about a half hour after she called I received another call from Jackie stating that the car was sold to another person, I was puzzled and asked how since the car wasn't on the lot yet and I was told no one else had interest, all she said was she didn't know and that's what here boss said. I have left message after message with every department. I've emailed. I've chatted - nothing. Today I called and the front woman actually HUNG UP ON ME. SALES---Wnat you would expect HIGH pressure rude in your face, mostly. So the guy we got for sales was a new guy. We were in the lot talking about cars etc and some 'full-of-himself' manager came up and completely interrupted us and talked over our sales guy and was generally rude. When we got inside our guy (we will call him Fred) was new so he had a trainer. The trainer completely cut Fred out and anytime I tried talking with Fred or to include him the other guy cut in or spoke over one of us. This should have been a sign but I liked the truck. We got through this with the normal lies and attempts to manipulate or etc. Fred then was allowed to walk us to finance. This was a fantastic experience the woman was amazing and everything that you should be in customer service, SERVICE--Two weeks after the sale I was on the phone with the service dept. I was told that there was a single point of contact and that no other person in the entire Camelback Toyota employment could do anything to help me. This person was not available and I could only leave a message and when he got around to it he would call me back. That is a disgusting and revolting way to run a service department. I was told it was because it was so soon after the sale that he was the only one. It would seem to me that if I need service 2 weeks after the sale that the owner would be on the phone making sure I was taken care of immediately. I finally got the guy on the phone took the car in and they did not provide the rental that was is a part of my contract but they did get me a ride home. They called back in a day and said that nothing was wrong and that I would just have to wait until something more catastrophic happened. I told keep the car drive it like you own it. They said fine. A few days later they called back and said hey so you were right. The transmission does have a problem and your tires are in serious need of replacement, so we are gonna get you new tires and order the parts. The part are on back order so you can have you car back till then and it is fine to drive until then if something happens we will have it towed. Those new tires were not new they were used they even have a plug in them. They did finally get me a rental during this time also. But I had to push for it. So the car parts come in and we make arrangements for a drop off 2 weeks into the future. This suited both of us as they at that moment had no rentals and I was not free to bring the truck in for several days. When finally the day to drop off arrived they call the at 5pm the night before to say that they will not have a rental and that I can still drop the car off if I want but I will be without that car for the duration of the repairs. I have a contract that says I get a rental during repairs and they have breached that contract twice in two months and lied about getting me new tired and sold me a truck with a bad transmission. read more

My Toyota Highlander and I couldn't be in better hands than the service department at Camelback Toyota! Every person I saw was friendly and speedy. Sergio called me at 7 AM following a 10 PM Monday night message my car needed it's 30,000 mile check up. By 7:45 AM he was meeting me as I drove up to service reception at my car, paperwork in hand. he'd already advised the car rental desk to have a car ready and directed me to the counter. Since I'm at a women's conference all day I can bring the car back in 24 hours for the smoking deal of $9.50. I grab a coffee and a bagel and I'm out the door in 10 minutes! They did the same thing this morning when I drove in, meeting me at the car to pick up the rental car key and sending me to the cashiers desk with no wait. Free coffee and bagel on the way out. Car washed. And I'm on my way to my day! And my car is Highway ready to drive to Santa Monica tomorrow to go to school! I thought I'd have to wait for an appointment next week. Good morning ladies this review is directed specifically for you. The HER commitment is a load of BS. Went into Camelback Toyota on Wednesday to test drive a used 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee that they had on the lot. Got there, met my sales guy test drove what I thought was the car I had requested. During the test drive though he pointed out that it was a 4 x 4 and I quickly corrected him that it was supposed to be a 2 x 4. He corrected me, we finished the test drive and started the paperwork. After I signed on the dotted line, he informs me that he had me test drive the wrong car. I go out. I look at the correct car. It's in good shape no body damage, no real issues. Do a quick test drive down a city Street, not at all the same test drive I got the first time, bring it back they offer me to decrease the price $500 so they can continue to make the deal happen. I agree, during the test drive all the tire pressures were off so they ended up giving me four new tires which was appreciated. Came back couple hours later get my car, once I get home however things start popping up like the fact that there is body damage on the drivers side front bumper, checked the photos of me celebrating in front of the car from before I left a lot. It was there, looks like somebody clipped something, probably going into the car wash. The volume knob on the stereo is like jelly that's literally just coming off in your fingers, the honeycomb in one of the inserts on the bumper is missing. My windshield is incorrectly installed to the point that once I get to 60 miles an hour it starts to whistle, the USB port and that panel don't work. The turn signal doesn't properly turn off. I have called and left two messages for Ralph, the sales manager and the boss of the sales guy who sold me the car, have yet to get a callback. Frankly I think that they knew they were selling me a, in the words of Adam Sandler, a piece of shit car, so they had me test drive the $25,000 version first so that they could make the swap and still make the sale and get the piece of shit car off their lot. But in the recent years, I've started to notice that the only time they're "nice" to you is when they know you're buying a car off the lot. While my car was getting an oil change and serviced, I brought my own snack but forgot plates and went to the cafe thinking they would be free. When I got there, some lady with light brown/dirty blonde hair ignored me when i walked up, then gave me an attitude when i tried to get her attention. I asked if I could have a spare plate, (NOWHERE does it say they charge), and she said, (loudly enough for my sister who was with me sitting in the waiting room could hear it over other peoples conversations) "No I can't just give it to you for free you need to pay, how much do you have $1?"..... I'm sorry but, "how much do you have"...? So because I have brown eyes and tan skin she's not only assuming I don't have money, but she's also trying to pocket money from customers? I asked her why they were a dollar and she said, "well I'm not giving it to you for free, if you want a plate then it's a dollar". But then every other customers with lighter eyes and toned skin get greeted and acknowledged with a friendly smile, do other people also get charged for a plate when they ask? I purchased a vehicle recently and I highly recommend salesperson Dwight Moore. He went above and beyond to assist me as I was purchasing the vehicle from afar. Thankfully, I was able to negotiate a great deal with him and his sales director, Richie Davidson, via emails and text messages. Upon my arrival to the dealership, Dwight was courteous and polite. It was an incredibly warm morning and yet Dwight was running across the dealership to grab keys, water, etc. The perspiration on his forehead was noticeable and I appreciated the urgency of his customer service. After agreeing upon a purchase price, Dwight sent the vehicle to be washed and he even transferred my previous license plate frame from my trade-in to my new vehicle. Also, he went through the owner's manual with me even though it was for a non-Toyota vehicle. Dwight walked me out to my new car and made sure I was happy with everything prior to leaving the dealership. A few days later, he called to follow up and asked if my wife liked the vehicle as well. I'll start by saying that everything started off well at Camelback Toyota. On 11/25/23 I came in with a pre-approval from my credit union but also with a trade I was upside down on. I understood this made things a bit more challenging but Isaiah was quick to bring out a vehicle that fit my budget and the finance team was willing to offer a fair price for my trade. After some haggling we were able to come to a flat rate of 30k for 2017 Camry in excellent condition and what was left of my negative equity rolled over into the loan. However the following Monday morning my bank informed me that they would not be able to complete financing on the deal due to a high loan to value ratio due to the negative equity of my trade in. This was obviously no fault of the dealer so I called and informed Isaiah that I would not be able to complete the deal unless the 30k became 25.7k per the bank. They told me this was not possible so I made a counter offer to kick the trade out completely and offer them 19k for the Camry itself with no trade. He told me he would work on it and get back to me. Then my co-signer informed me that he had received a voice message from a sales manager named Jesus that 19k out the door was not possible and we would be closer to 21k-22k. I called Jesus back myself and left a respectful voicemail saying that I appreciate them trying to help but that price will not work for me and to please tear up the deal and I will keep them in mind for the future. Then towards the end of the evening is where things took a turn for the worst. I started getting texts and phone calls left and right. I got a call from someone that sounded confused and said he was just handed the phone. He stated that per some back up contract that they would be able to give me 5.9% APR (my credit union had me at 12.3) and that all I had to do was come in and sign paperwork. I asked what the final price on the car was and he said he didn't have the numbers. I told them to call back with said numbers before I agree to anything. I was sent a picture of the price and the price of the car out the door was 22k to which I replied that price will not work for me. Then Isaiah calls me and tried to explain the difference in interest rate, I told him I understand that but I'm not happy with the price of the car. I had to repeat this over ten times and at this point I was upset. I told him the price of the vehicle out the door MUST be at 19k in order to earn my business but if they cannot meet that then just tell me so we can end the conversation. However he kept pushing and saying he was confused by what I was asking and kept trying to go over the long run price with the APR difference. I explained again that I didn't care and I want the car at 19k out the door and that it's fine if they can't do it I will just move on. After we hung up I get a call from someone else in sales asking when I was coming in. I said I would not be coming in and he asked why not since they got me a better APR and I had to explain yet again that I was not happy with the vehicles price. He then starts to ask if they need to find me a cheaper car and I said I'm not interested. He then proceeded to tell me that I won't get a better deal on that Camry and I disagreed and then he started telling me about a tool he has access to that allows him to see the price of all used cars in a certain radius. I told him again I'm sorry but unless the car is at 19k out the door I'm not interested, he continued to argue with me and then asked me if I would purchase the car at 12.3 APR if they brought the price down to 19k out the door and I said yes. He then said fine I'll bring it down if you go that route. At this point I called him out and said it's ridiculous that you only offer to bring the car down after saying it's an impossibility only if I agree to the higher interest rate. He then immediately tried to back track suggesting that's not what he said.. at this point I was very upset and told them to stop with the harassment and hung up. This is absolutely ridiculous and disrespectful behavior. I wasn't even initially upset that we couldn't agree on a price but they couldn't stop pushing me again and again even after I said I wasn't interested in paying their asking price. I was trying to walk away respectfully and they continued to harass me with predatory measures. It is dealerships like this that give the industry a bad name and truly risk how people perceive the Toyota brand. I recommend staying away from this dealer. read more

(Solid vehicle no issues, tires are worth at least 2k, car not test driven). Dealership uses trade in value's with trade in vehicles, but uses retail values with the vehicles they sale. Unfortunately, this is the reason why this dealership have developed a bad reputation, and an overall LOW star rating, very UNFAIR to the consumer, and a way of ROBBING the customers. If this dealership were smart, they would re-write the models they're using for trade- in values, so that it will make it fair for the consumer. Do they care? NO! FAIRNESS AND INTEGRITY IS IMPORTANT FOR ANY BUSINESS. NO more business dealings with this dealership. I can't believe I just paid $200 just to be in a bad mood. Came in because my check engine light was on, told them I thought it was the fuel line that was leaking. Even left paperwork on the wheel detailing the error code, like do I got a thank you? Anyways, the next day they finally look at it (I will admit I did not have an appointment) and they tell me that it'll be 40 bucks to wipe off the corrosion on the battery. Overpriced, but whatever, he did a good job. Then the inspection to determine what was wrong came up. 150 bucks to blow smoke in my pipes? Like...I told you guys there was a leak and you did that to confirm what I said so.....idk why that took so fkn long, and why that's so expensive. I looked up what's involved, and it's not a lot of work. The following reason is why you got knocked from 3 stars to 2. I'm glad the check engine light is off, but I guess you removed the terminals from the battery for 30 mins, so it'll come back when the sensor detects the leak again. But then I come in and my dash cam is just like, totally disassembled??? Like bro....I get that you might not like being recorded. But you pulled my camera off the windshield, unplugged all the cables, turned the front facing around, and ripped the cable out of the weatherstripping. All you had to do was unplug it from the outlet, so like...fk you Jairo. At least have the decency to put it back together when you're done with it. I would put 1 star, but you guys do have the capacity to fix things, but I'm pissed off about this whole experience. You are way over priced, take way too long, don't communicate what you're doing, don't take pics so I don't even know if the work you're doing is even worth it, and you disrespected my property. I came in for the vehicle within 1 hour of it arriving at the dealership. We agreed on all the numbers including the trade in value of my vehicle and even signed a agreement on terms. Salesman comes back and says it was just sold to another customer BUT that another one is coming in 4 days. I said ok, and asked do we get the same agreements he said yes and came back with the paperwork BUT now it shows a $5000 markup. I told him that we never agreed on any markup, let alone a $5000 one. Ed is my dude! He always takes care of me and my car. He tells me how it is, no fluff attached, no extras forced onto me. He will tell me ahead of time what is going to be due soon (ex brake pads or tires) so I can know how much to money to save for future visits. BUT, I have learned that not everyone is like Ed, and I learned the hard way. I will literally only bring my car from now on if it's with him. The service center is huge. It has a little cafe where they serve complimentary coffee and drinks. They used to have a full service cafe where you could purchase any type of food or drink. I miss that. Now they just have one type of food available. It's great that it's complimentary but being a vegetarian and a hungry hippo I it doesn't always suffice. The waiting area is expansive with several areas to sit at, lots of magazines, and a kids zone. Although it isnt required, make sure to get an appointment because without one you're going to be waiting several hours for something as simple as on oil change. I've had some days where I wait an hour and others where I've had to wait 5, so it's definitely varied either way. Worst dealership in the entire world. Please read my story. The internet stated that this dealer had the exact car we had been waiting for months to get. It was in Arizona on a truck but not at the dealership yet. When I called the dealer I spoke to Tanner who told me he was 99% sure they were getting it in the morning and that we should be there around 8am. Coming from California, we left at 2am for a 6 hour drive. When we arrived the car was not there. We waited several hours and even signed a form agreeing to the price. We were paying cash so we went and got a certified check made out to the dealer. We had to spend the night at a hotel because the car did not arrive but we were assured that it was in Phoenix, and on its way to the dealership. The next day, still no car and no call as promised by Tanner. We went by the dealership since we were told our hotel costs would be covered. Then Tanner proceeds to tell me that it will probably come out of his paycheck. At this point I could care less. We drove home. In one last attempt and my stupidity of trusting people, I asked if the car came in, would he hold the car and we would fly this time. He said he would have to see the plane ticket and they could possibly hold the car one hour after the plane landed. What bull is that?? He then said he would call me back after some meeting with a general manager. Two days later no call from Tanner but I did get a call from someone else at the dealership asking what went wrong. I explained the entire situation and what we went through. I told him about the plane ticket and he told me that was totally wrong and not true. He asked me if I would speak to the general manager and that he would be calling me in about 5 to 10 minutes. SURPRISE!!! No call!!!They are nothing but liars. stay clear!!! read more

Do not buy a new Toyota at Camelback Toyota. They will tell you they do not have dealer markups over MSRP, but they are charging $5,000-7,000 for simple dealer add-ons such as door edge, handle and bumper guards. It's really a matter of principle...if you are marking up a car just say that's your practice in today's environment. Don't pretend like you're not marking up a vehicle and then charge $5,000 for something that costs $50. This is in addition to required tint and paint protection packages. Call around...other dealers are not adding on these ridiculously overpriced add-ons. Dealers like this seem to forget that building customer loyalty is important for a not too distant future when supply chains are caught up and the customer will be in the driver seat again. read more

Nothing was hidden, details and price were easily stated. Asked to be contacted and was promptly followed up by Dwight with the DASH program. EVERY SINGLE email and phone was so professional with detailed information. All my questions were answered and the final price we agreed on was exactly what was waiting for us in the finance department. Upon arrival, our truck was in the delivery bay ready for a test drive. After the test drive, we were taken around the dealership to see where the service and parts department was. Shortly after that, we were taken to finance, signed our papers and off we went. Not going to exaggerate, but dealing with this dealership has been the worse experience I have ever had when purchasing a new vehicle. The sales rep was God awful. And when I requested my keys back from him I got the run around from him, he basically refused to give me back my keys till about the 4th time I requested them and started to approach the tower. Now 6 months after my purchase I have had zero luck getting ahold of anyone with sales. My truck came with one key due to the chip shortage, which wasn't a big deal. I was told to give them 3 months and then give them a call. I've been calling for the past 3 months and haven't been able to speak to a single person besides the receptionist. I'm at the point I'm gonna just purchase a second key. For anyone that would like to have a decent experience when looking at a new Toyota I would suggest going to LHM of Peoria or to Avondale toyota, I've purchased vehicles from both and they were much, much, much better to work with. read more
