I could not decipher if the "lzad" started with a lower case "L" or an upper case "i". So I sent an email to both. The two emails were sent on 11/10/21 around 10 am. It is now 4:45 pm and I have yet to receive any emails back from Izad. Once again...terrible customer service from Camelback Toyota. Who knows if an "Izad" really even exists. Their responding to my negative review could just be a front to make others that read my negative review, and Josh S responding, they make it look like they care but no one actually responds to my email. Josh S...my mistake in updating my post. I wrote the wrong email that I said I sent the email to. I have been using Camelback Toyota for 2 years for ALL of my servicing needs for my 4Runner and have been satisfied. I called their Service Department today and asked, "Daniel" if the honored competitor's coupons and he asked the details. I explained it was for a Synthetic oil change for $69.99 from Right Toyota. He said no - this was a dealer to dealer price match. He claimed that Right Toyota did not use synthetic oil even though it is clearly stated in the ad. Oh well... my car is now out of warranty and they are going to lose their $100 oil changes from me and my relationship to the dealership! read more

DISHONEST! DISHONEST! DISHONEST! This is the most DISHONEST, DISHONEST, DISHONEST -AND- UNETHICAL dealership I have ever dealt with! I worked with their Internet department over a week's time. Friday, 9/10, Shaun (Mgr) called me and told me that the truck I wanted would be in between Sept 13th and the 15th and that the truck was mine since we'd agreed on a price (of course, if someone came in before me and bought it, that could happen) and that he wrote notes in the book that the truck was mine and what the price is that we'd agreed on. Jesse (Mgr) called me on 9/13 and told me that the truck hadn't come in but should be in tomorrow. He told me that no one else was interested in this truck as far as he knew so it was mine. At 8:15 am this morning (9/14), I got a text from the salesman saying that the truck was in. I questioned him on that because Jesse (Mgr) called me yesterday and told me that it had not come in. I asked him to double-check because of the conversation I had with Jesse the afternoon before. At 8:20, the salesman texted me back saying it was for sure on the lot and to hurry in and get it. I was at the dealership at 10:33 am because I was told once they called me I needed to be in within 2 hours or they would give it away. I was told by the salesman that the truck was NOT on the lot (but expected in a few hours). In the meantime, the MANAGER & I EACH ACCEPTED THE PRICE *and* I completed all of the paperwork. I even wrote a check (which the salesman said to hang on to)...I'd even called the credit union and had them transfer the money into the checking account since we were paying CASH for the truck. During this time I was waiting at the dealership, the salesman kept checking on me....told me to go to lunch and they'd reimburse (which they didn't). I was at the dealership from 10:33 to 2:00pm. At 1:45pm the salesman came up with a manager and told me that someone else just showed up and were offering more than we were so unless I upped my price, I'd lose out. DISHONEST, DISHONEST, DISHONEST! UNETHICAL! This vehicle was MINE! I was there first, I had made a deal that was ACCEPTED by MANAGEMENT, and now it was becoming a silent auction! The excuse was, "well with low inventory, this is how it is...." and "different departments were working on it".... that is COMPLETE B.S.! That's THEIR problem, not mine. I was there first, I had been waiting for the truck to come in, AND the deal had been sealed & approved by not only me but by management! This is completely UNACCEPTABLE!! Wish I could leave 0 stars. I had an appointment at 11am and I got my car back by 3pm and they couldn't do anything. My advisor left and I was not notified until 2pm and I've called and had several conversation with the service team. I actually never got to speaker to the advisor because they said they would notify her and relay messages. After they stated that I can leave my car until Monday to have a new tire placed. I have coverage to have a new tire places so I wouldn't have to pay anything but they kept denying and stated that I have to pay for tire to be patched. read more

Been a while since getting service at Camelback Toyota, truthfully I just moved back to the valley. 10 years ago I purchased my Toyota Tundra and of course the sales person was amazing. However, the Service Dept was extremely poor...horrible customer service, I mean downright rude. As a result I took my truck to Avondale Toyota where they rolled out the red carpet. Funny as I didn't purchase my truck there but still the customer service was top notch. I figured being "new" to the Valley again I'd give Camelback Toyota a try and certainly glad I did. I had an appointment at 11am to get my transmission fluid changed but I arrived at 10:30 am. When I arrived, I gave them my truck's info, including the mileage. By 3pm I still had not heard anything about my truck and a lot of people that arrived after me had already left. I asked about my truck and was told that they could not perform the fluid change due to the miles being too high. They said it was because it could cause the transmission to slip if anything that was stuck got loose. I understand that. What I don't understand is why it took them so long to tell me that they couldn't do it. I sat there for 4 1/2 hours and nothing was done to my vehicle except "an inspection." He was very responsive in the beginning while we were waiting for the truck to be delivered. He promised us the price was sticker price MSRP only. No upcharge. Just MSRP and tax. Arrival of truck, went down hill from there. Communication was lost. We were at the dealership for 5+ hours just sitting there because they weren't smart enough to say hey, let's do the paper first and come back when the truck is ready..." They wanted to charge us an additional $8k for mark up after we were promised sticker price. Horrible experience. Never again. THEN the audacity when we gave him 3 starts for service he CALLED US AND YELLED AT US! When we called the GM to let them know... no call back. That's a great way to represent the dealership. Purchased a 21 Toyota Tundra after trying to find one for 6 months. I found one here, purchasing went smoothly, took a little longer then I would prefer but everything went smooth. Brought my truck in for service for the first time and I was amazed at how fast service was performed. I also love that the waiting room is nice, neat and has entertainment. The upstairs lounge has massage chairs and privacy with a TV. This is better than BMW dealerships that I have visited in the past. I've shopped at multiple dealerships for new cars over the years, and this was the BEST experience I've ever had. I'm not sure I ever anticipated such a positive experience in car shopping. I worked with RJ Johnson to score an amazing deal on a Highlander. I was anxious about coming to the dealership with my infant because I know how long these things can take..but holy crap, it was a bomb experience. He was extremely efficient and didn't play these "car salesman negotiation" games that I always dread. He was able to push to get me an amazing value on my trade in, a good interest rate and the monthly I wanted. I was not comfortable with breastfeeding in public, so he got me to a quiet, dark room to feed her and wait for financing. Davita (?) at financing had me in and out within minutes. They were all so incredibly supportive and helpful, and sweet to my baby. I was honestly feeling teary driving away. I seriously don't know how anyone can leave this place a bad review. Well folks my 2019 Toyota Tundra Crewmax TRD Offroad 4x4 got the best of me in our short lived relationship. Getting 13.5 mpg on the freeway and 9.7 mpg in the city wasn't ideal. So I decided to set her free and move on to a stunning 2020 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road 4x4 Double Cab. WAY better gas mileage and just an all around better fit. Toyota spared no expense in bringing the latest technology to just about every corner of the new Tacoma. Bravo Toyota!! A big thanks to Cheyenne and Ralph for taking such good care of me and giving me a deal that no other Toyota dealership in the state would meet or beat! Of the 146 vehicles I've previously owned and the many dealerships I've done business with, this was hands down the most positive, no pressure, no games dealership I've ever been to. Ralph is a man of integrity and a man of his word which is very rare to come by these days. We purchased our 2015 Highlander at Camelback Toyota and have had it serviced regularly at their service department for 8 years. We purchased our second Toyota Service Care maintenance plan with Camelback Toyota from Sam Salem, the Service Retention Manager. Although it had an expiration date, I was assured it would never truly expire and that they would always honor it. It's a low mileage vehicle, so naturally it expired, but I wasn't concerned because of the assurances that I had received. So, the other day, we took it in for its 50K mile service which includes oil change, multi-point inspection and tire rotation, but Toyota refused to honor the prepaid service. Mind you, this is a $69 service (with coupon). I explained how I was assured it would never expire and I asked to speak with the service manager (Jimmy Ou), but he refused as well, essentially telling me that: Salesmen lie. So, we left...and aren't going back. BOTTOM LINE: Camelback Toyota lost a loyal 8-year customer (that was actually planning to look in the showroom for a new vehicle while we waited for our vehicle to be ready) over a $69 service (that I already paid for). Then they had the audacity to send me an email asking me to rate them with 5-stars. I think not. TIP: Get all their promises and assurances in writing. I have used this dealership since 2019 and have gotten 3 cars from them, 3 brand new and one used. I went in today because Toyota financial offered me a great deal to trade up. Well what was supposed to be a payment of $793 it turned out to be a payment of almost $1200 a month. I'm driving a 2021 and there was no difference in the 2024 so to me it wasn't worth it to make the trade. Well the salesman Juan one refused to give me my keys back, I had to get them from I guess a sales manager after arguing with Juan for 20 minutes. I felt held against my will and totally disrespected. I will not use this dealer in the future and none of my clients will use them again either. I'm taking myself and my client list to Bell road Toyota or anywhere that's not Camelback Toyota. It's sad to see a bad salesman make a business lose this much money. As an update I was reached out to by another dealer from the same dealership saying he was sorry for the situation we were in and that he would try and make it up to us. We were very skeptical of it and asked how he would make sure it wouldn't happen again. We were told he would transparent and let us know what's going on at all parts of the deal. We asked for the same deal that was previously worked out and he said he would do his best. When he sent us over the offer was somewhere around 5k over our previous deal. Funny thing is that he told us it's so high because that's what we would have to pay to "steal" the car from another buyer that was in the same scenario! And you can only imagine the people that had that original offer were in the same scenario as we were previously. Clueless and being lied to. Only to find out later that the car would be swept from underneath them like us because the entire time youre being told you'll have the car, they are offering the car to other clueless customers for a higher price. Aside from that my wife and I pre purchased the vehicle we wanted from Bell Toyota. No hassle no lies no greed. Don't waste your time and money and just put a down payment on your car so it's YOURS when it arrives. And as much as they don't want to admit it, you CAN get your deposit back even if you don't end up liking the car. The service department has always done a good job with all the cars I've ever brought here. Unfortunately they now have a policy of disabling customers dash cameras when you bring it in for services. Since my wife's car was damaged during servicing at another dealership in the past, having the dash camera was the only way to prove the damage. So, keeping my dash camera enabled is a must to protect my investment in my car. Since the dealership will not budge on this policy, I'll be looking for a new service provider after 11 years of continuous services. read more

The salesman kindly took me for a test drive, showed me the car's finer details, etc. After that I asked to see how much my current vehicle would get for a trade-in and everything went downhill from there - the salesman claimed the whole staff of folks that could provide an estimate was in a meeting. They took pictures on the car (which is not more than two years old and has a high re-sale potential) and told they'd call me with an estimate. That was a week ago, and I haven't heard back from anyone at that dealership. I have no idea why they ghosted me like this, but it is disheartening and disappointing. I had a great experience buying my car last year with Eddie K. I would recommend him to anyone, I didn't feel pressured into buying and he explained everything to me. I'd give him 5 stars. I also got in and out of the dealership in about 3 hours. The finance guy was very high pressure on add ons like maintenance packages etc. i didn't like that at all. He asked me literally 10x if I wanted the package and he kept lowering the price and insinuating it would be stupid for me not to buy it. I was also pre approved by my bank but he picked a different lender with the same rate which isn't necessarily bad, but caused some confusion as he didn't tell me. My car was not cleaned properly when I bought it, I found garbage from previous owner under my seats (I bought certified used). They also only gased up the car 3/4 of a tank. I thought that was sloppy. I've bought other cars and they were always detailed and given to me with a tank of gas at other dealers. I was too tired and had driven 3 hrs that day to get to and from the dealership so just cleaned it myself. I have had a good experience with the service but I purchased the service package that covers first 45k. If you have to pay anything for repairs it's EXPENSIVE. I'm going to have to try a dealership closer to my house for service to see if it's more affordable. read more

The sales team is amazing, I worked with Lesli and Chris and they helped me out so much. However I am unable to give 5 stars because of the service department here, specifically Andre who've I've been working with. Once I picked up my used car that I had purchased the service department replaced my tire but not the rim - which can lead to uneven wear over time. On my own time I had a rim replacement approved and brought it back in for servicing. After a day of them keeping the car, they asked for me to come pick it up saying the part would not be ready for about 3 days. After getting to the service shop they gave me my car on my spare tire and were allowing me to take the car until they were ready. I showed my concern seeing how I drive 30 minutes + freeway driving daily and the gentleman said "it'll be okay as long as you don't go over 80mph". Still worried but out of another option I took the car. I received a call two days later from Andre saying they were still waiting for the repair on the rim, when I corrected him stating I requested a new rim (complete replacement) and my concerns with just a repair he simply stated "I understand and you'll have to speak to your sales person". After calling Lesli again she confirmed that I was approved for a rim replacement- not a repair- and even communicated confusion on why they weren't following that. So now I'm stuck driving a donut on the freeway after agreeing to pay $20k for a used car with no answers on when this will be fixed and why it wasn't fixed in the first place. read more

I bought a 2021 Toyota Sienna from Camelback. They showed me the paperwork for it, which stated that there was a nice 1400 watt inverter included. It was certainly one of the reasons why I purchased it. After a look around the car, I couldn't find it, so the salesman said he was sure it was there, and would help me look for it later. Long story short I made the mistake of buying the vehicle trusting that it was actually there (as it was on the paperwork) and that I just couldn't find it. Well, later on the salesman couldn't find it either... turns out the information didn't match the vehicle. They promised to make it right before I left. They said, of course we'll make it right! They told me they would install an inverter for me.... then weeks down the road changed that promise to replacing the vehicle with another because apparently they couldn't install an inverter (which I thought was strange, but I went with it).... then weeks later told me that they couldn't help me with the problem. Just too bad. Sorry. Wasn't going to work out. No installation, no replacement, no refund, no refund of the cost of just the inverter. Nothing. I was open to any of these options. I thought, no way! This can't be right. Isn't that the definition of false advertisement? I'll call someone higher up in the chain. After repeated calls, messages left to several people. No one will call me back. No one will offer a solution. No one will help. I have called managers. I called and left messages for Yens Truell and Mike Spectre. (some high ups). No call back. I called directly to Toyota and they sent a special message to the customer service liaison to call me within 24 hours. No call back. Always either not available or don't have the power to help me. They will do their best to get you inside a car to fit your needs even when you ask them to politely stop calling you.. it was pretty much harassment at a point. But their customer service doesn't stop there they will continue to call you to convince you of that special car you need from them. At the four hour mark I returned to the service advisor to see where my vehicle was...and to stop what they were doing and return it to me. The service manager showed up and was able to finally get my vehicle. I've never experienced horrible customer service in my over 20 years as a customer of Camelback Toyota. I'm sure the vehicle was rushed...mechanics dirty handprints were left on the hood of the vehicle. I'm not even sure they changed the oil. Nevertheless the less I think this will be my last visit to Camelback Toyota. read more
