My experience with Camelback Toyota started very positively but unfortunately didn't end that way. After months of researching, I was in contact with Dwight for several weeks about a 2022 Highlander coming in. Knowing the vehicle is in high demand and was going to be delivered any day I went into Camelback Toyota on my birthday to put a face to the name and get the ball rolling. Dwight was busy so Rob helped us. Rob was phenomenal, extremely helpful, took care of as much paperwork as possible and got us excited. I left telling my husband how great the experience was. Dwight called me the next evening at 11pm (I told him it was ok to contact me this late.) saying to meet him at 5am the next morning. I got childcare for my son and met him there at 5am. Dwight had told us how quickly these vehicles get sold but instead of starting on paperwork he drove us off property to see the vehicle, which we didn't ask for. He was giving us information on the vehicle but saying "I'm not sure if this car has this feature but if it does...", completely wasting our time, I was answering questions about the vehicle that he didn't know. By the time we returned to the dealership at 6am, 2 other offers were already on the vehicle. We offered 5k over MSRP. After jumping through all of the hoops, doing everything they told us to do, we still didn't get the car. I wouldn't recommend Camelback Toyota because of this incredibly unfair and upsetting experience. read more

We have purchased a certified used car and this will now be the second time using their service department. Basically I feel like we have a good feel for this particular dealership. Buying a car here was pretty typical--the car salesman was pushy and hyped up but I think that's pretty normal. We needed the car so went for it but the hubs wasn't a fan of our salesman. My main issue now is that I was due for 40k service and so I made a 1:30 appointment and and am now waiting for my vehicle for nearly 3 hours. I did check up on them (which I had to do last time I had an oil change here) and was told it would be done in 15 minutes...and that was over 20 minutes ago (from the estimated completion time). I see a lot of reviews here that are either very positive or very negative; but I do see a common thread of people having to wait a long time for their oil changes. Not sure if this is related to me wanting to shop around for tires and refusing to drop the $600-800 right this second or because I came in with a coupon from Facebook. It does feel different from my last experience getting an oil change here but it seems that their customer service depends highly on how much $$$ you're willing to drop. I'll update this review with how long I actually end up waiting for my car... On the other hand the setup of this place is nicer than the other Toyota dealerships I've been to, so I'll tack on an extra star for that. read more

I highly recommend buying a car from camelback Toyota but the service department is absolutely horrible...we ordered a tono cover for our truck & it's a 1-2hr job they say...& 8 hrs later still waiting for it to be completed & Spenser had an excuse every time we called in to check on our truck.... & we got the manager involved & ya that went no where as well....definitely wont b using them again read more

Where do I start? I received the double whammy of horrible service, the last visit involved pure negligence that could have resulted in serious damage and injury. I'll start with the second visit first as its most important. I took the car in for a free oil change/tire rotation that came with the purchase of the car. I go to pick it up. As I leave, turning south onto 16th street I hear a noise and question it, but I continue. I then turn east onto Camelback, the noise gets worse, and the car and steering wheel start wobbling. I immediately pull into a Parking lot and get out to see that the front left tire is tilted and 4 of the 6 lug nuts are missing, with the other two about to fall off. I immediately call the service advisor and he walks over with a tech. They are shocked this happened, have never seen it before, apologize profusely. They take the car back to the shop and my husband comes to oversee it all. The tech wanted to put on 6 new lug nuts to ensure it was good, but they only had two in the back (WHAT?). So we only got two, not a big deal tho. We are told we can have two free oil changes for our troubles (give me a break, this could have been a serious problem if the tire came off - in the middle of rush hour on Camelback). A few days later, before a road trip, my husband climbs under the car to make sure its okay. He finds a tool, leftover from them under the car AND the skid plate oil plug cover was hanging down. He also learned they didn't even change the oil filter when they changed the oil. The tire issue was pure negligence on all parties involved; the techs performing the work, the tech supervisor, and the service advisor. People not doing any of their jobs correctly. The first visit is as follows: My husband and I had been looking for a used 4Runner and one popped up at Camelback Toyota. We were greeted by a new salesperson, who didn't know anything about the 4Runner, and at times was unprofessional, although the latter I blame on his young age. After a frustrating hour of him showing us the wrong cars (we came for TRD OFF ROAD he was showing us SR5s) and him constantly having to call his manager to answer our questions, we decided to move forward with the car we came to see. Negotiation and Finance went fine, but after we signed the contract all went downhill. The truck had just come in, so it hadn't been cleaned. We were told it would be ready 2 hours later after a thorough detail. 7 hours later it was finally ready. In which we then dealt w/ another salesperson as ours was gone. The car was still dirty (dashboard was a mess, inner counsel had potato chips inside, there was nail polish on the leather, dirt on the ceiling). A manager tells us to take the car, get it really dirty, then bring back for another detail. We do so, go to pick it up, and its still a mess. We leave it again, with a list, come back to pick it up, our original salesperson ensures its cleanliness. I peek and NOPE still a mess. His manager comes out and says "the interior can't be cleaned because there is dog hair." I'm sorry there are areas in the car that were still dirty from originally picking it up, this is not an excuse. So he says to drop off first thing the next day at 7am. So we do and no one is there to help us. There is one person there, who has NO idea what to do, she says we have to wait until a salesperson comes in at like 8 or 830. We couldn't wait, so she sent us over to the maintenance area. Where my husband talked to Adam. Who (now the 5th person we have dealt with, explaining our issues 5 times over) was the only one able to get the job done. We picked it up after the 4th drop off, finally clean, with a hubcap that had been missing. I get maybe having to drop off the car twice, but 4 times is ridiculous (5 details). Not to mention the time we spent coming and going, being late for work, and coordinating. Needless to say, after both of these fiascos, we will NEVER be going back. Period. I hope this review helps them clean up their act and makes those reading it think twice. read more

Brian Sterling is the best! Highly recommend him as your service advisor. He's been mine for 3 and a half years and is very trustworthy, never recommending unnecessary services or repairs. Sometimes I am waiting a long time for an oil change but I think that that's the price you pay for going to a busy Toyota dealership! They tend to overbook. I put in a credit app and talked to a salesman told him what car i wanted and my situation he said he would get right back to me hours went bye and no phone call so I called spoke to someone else they assured me they would get back to me did not happen hours went bye and no call so I called again spoke to someone who assured me again he was just super busy and that he was a manager and would take care of me no call late in evening dealership closed called manager guy no answer left v/m whole day went bye no call next day called another guy who had emailed me from DASH he assured me that he would get someone in touch with me to look into my situation and assured me car was still there two days went bye then get a text 15 minutes before dealership was from my original salesman saying come down the car is still here I was asleep at time so got a call around noon next day from another manager he stated he was sorry for all the confusion and nobody following up with me then he said was that the only car you were interested in I said yes it's within my budget and lowers my insurance I really want that car then he says well it sold this morning so he basically just called to rub it in what an asshole read more

Wasn't going to post anything however after receiving multiple requests from the dealership asking about my experience I figured I'd share. I came here because of the location. I should've gone to another dealership. On the positives, the facility is nice and advisor knew what the fix was to my problem immediately. I will commend them on that. Below is what I submitted to the dealership survey to answer the question "How can we continue to keep you as a customer" "Nothing. That was my first experience and it will be my last. Was told my car would be ready in a week. It was ready 2.5 weeks later. I was told that I would received a call back with the status "no matter what" three times. Two times I never received a call back. I was renting a car through your facility. My repair would take longer than the 7 day estimate due to a backlog on the order. I then requested I get my car back due to not being able to afford to rent a car for the 4-6 weeks estimated for the part to arrive. I was then told my car was inoperable. I was never given an opportunity to decline this wait prior to this decision to be made for me. When I expressed my concern I could not afford a rental car for 4-6 weeks I was told there is no loaner car and they would compensate me ONE day. Was told "we are just the dealer. Can't control when parts come in." My response was why wasn't I provided an opportunity to decline services before my car was made inoperable and was told "I don't know". In the end my car took 9 days longer than I was told and after making an additional plea to have the dealership help in this additional cost a total of 3 additional days were added. So I had to wait 9 days longer than the estimate, and three days of the rental were covered after multiple requests. Biggest complaint I have is I never felt like the dealership was going to take care of me, that they would make it right. I was stuck with no options and no accountability from the dealership. Just avoid! Crooks!!! Bumper to bumper warranties are not that... BEWARE

Wow. Just wow. I came I for the scheduled maintenance that was part of the purchase price for my new Scion. I made an "appointment" for 10 am. "Appointment" is in quotation marks because the Service Department does not use the word in it's usual meaning. I was told that it be an hour and 45 minutes to complete. I thought that was weird, but like the rest of the sheep who patronize this horrible place, I just went to the waiting area. After two hours, I tracked down "my" service rep. It took a while to find her. (Maybe she was having lunch. I'm not.) She told me that it would still be 20 to 30 minutes. So I asked her why we even made appointments. She said something about it not being a matter of time, it's just how busy they are. Of course, that was no answer. But I didn't want to argue -- why? I'm sure she didn't create the system. While I've been waiting, the service rep told me that the delay is because someone got hurt and had to be taken to the ER. Well, I guess that explains the ADDITIONAL time, but it doesn't explain why it takes an hour and 45 minutes to do an oil change, when one has made an appointment. Bottom line, I'm going to try another dealer for the next scheduled maintenance. read more

Went in for a simple oil change and they told me a whoooole lot was wrong with my car. They were correct that certain parts had a little wear, but they were no where near as horrible as what they explained it to be AND they rigged the brakes on the rear passenger side. My car had absolutely no squeaking and certainly didn't have any grinding sounds. I took my car in for an oil change, 2 hrs later they pulled me aside and said that my rear brakes were BOTH needing to be badly replaced and that it was metal-on-metal grinding. I asked if the repairs could wait, because I wanted to take the car to my father (they said maybe a week), who is a professional mechanic and has been for 30 years and even runs his own very successful shop in Downtown Chandler. As soon as I start the car, I hear a loud POP! come from behind, and when the car would even inch forward a little bit, there was a loud grinding sound coming from the back passenger wheel. I called my father immediately and took the car to him. After further inspection he showed me how the driver's side is completely Ok and like its brand new, however, the passenger side is low and was over-adjusted to grind and make it wear faster even when I was just driving. My dad was able to re-adjust it so that it wouldn't grind, however, in the next couple of months a whole new brake job will have to be done on my car when it could have been a little bit simpler if my car wasn't rigged to be much worse than it was. While he was at it I had him look at the list of other things they said were wrong with my car... All of which were either over exaggerated or completely FALSE. They recommended I get the cabin air filter changed in my car because is was filthy. I had literally changed it a month prior, and even inspected it after my service appointment and it was still very clean. Because of this experience I will NOT be returning to Camelback Toyota for ANYTHING. I will either find another dealer or go to a shop I trust. I will also never recommend anybody goes to this dealership. Very very very shady stuff is going on here. read more

Last weekend as my wife and I were on a 3 day out of town trip our Toyota Prius flashed a "master warning light ", a big red triangle with an exclamation symbol. The information center simply said "problem". We pulled over and read the manual which was no help. I checked oil and fluids which looked good and since no other warning lights had come on I determined it was safe to continue although I suspected an overheat situation .. The light went off for a day until we were on the way home from Tucson when it flashed repeatedly and stayed on. When we got home I consulted the internet to discover that the Prius has 2 coolant reservoirs. I had not looked at the engine coolant. Looking at it then, I could see no fluid . Since it was Sunday and I had none of the required proprietary Toyota coolant , I decided to have my wife take it to Camelback Toyota , have them check the warning light and fill the coolant. She talked to service advisor Mike Romero and related the warning light / coolant situation. She told him that I had logged no codes on my OBD scanner. He called back saying we needed a new 12 volt battery ($380) Suggested a maintenance service (@ $500) and replacing 2 burned out clearance bulbs ($64). Since the battery might have something to do with the warning light I had him replace it at twice the cost of doing it myself (although I suspected they were guessing). The bulbs will cost me @$10 at O'Reilly. My wife drove it for 3 days when the check engine light came on. This time I pulled two diagnostic codes. Online answers: put in coolant and they'll probably clear. CAMELBACK TOYOTA HAD RELEASED MY VEHICLE WITHOUT CHECKING THE COOLANT. This is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE from ANY mechanic regardless of the reason the vehicle was brought in. I guess I needed to fork over the $500 to get any basic attention to service. "Have a warning light go on and take 'em for all you can". I doubt I even needed the battery. I go down to Camelback to get the coolant. Ask the parts guy for coolant for my 2007 Prius. "Pink or red?" "I don't know. 2007 Prius" "What color's in it" "I don't know. I can't see any. That's why I'm here. " "What color did you put in before" "I've never put any in" "Hmmmmm" ............. (silence).......... "I think the other reservoir has pink" "Ok you need pink ..$35 please" REALLY??? All codes/lights are now clear and I'm so DONE with Camelback Toyota. read more

Scheduled service appointment for Sat at 9:15. Got there, and was told it would be at least 3 hours before they could look at it. I reminded them my appointment was at 9:15. The response was "we are the busiest dealer in the area". I just left as I couldn't wait that long. I thought maybe 2...2 1/2 hours tops and planned my day for that. Pretty disappointed about the wait time, don't see any logic in scheduling ahead. I brought my car here frequently up until 2 years ago when I moved to Chandler. I'm back in Phoenix now, and it sounds like something there has changed and not for the good. Impact: *I am driving around with the tire pressure light on, not knowing what damage it might be causing. *Have to take more time to find another dealer that isn't "the busiest dealer in the area", and schedule again. *I used to trust CB, not so much anymore. Let me try this again as it seems that my review mysteriously disappeared. Odd eh? My experience at Camelback Toyota was bad and my previous review said so. My husband and I had been out of town for the long Easter weekend and our Prius gave a general error light. He checked the engine and all looked good. We didn't get another error until the trip home. The husband checks the engine out and gets no error code on his reader and the manual just says "see dealer". Upon more inspection the husband finds another coolant reservoir and it is low. We take it in to have this them check this and put in the special pink fluid. Now, I explained al of this to Mike the Mechanic who was my representative. He smiles, nods and sends me home via shuttle. He later calls and tells me something about the 12 volt throwing low ohmage and needed to be replaced for $400, bulbs for the front for $65 and $500 maintenance. I call the hubby, tell him the story and he calls Mr. Romero back to authorize the battery being replaced even though we didn't think that was the problem. Wait for the shuttle to take me back and I pick up the Prius. They replaced the battery. THAT'S IT. A couple days later I get get and a "check engine" light. Get it home and the husband gets simes codes, researchs and finds it needs coolant just as we suspected and I had told them to begin with. They never checked the coolant and they replaced a battery I probably didn't need. As a woman I suspect I paid the ultimate pink tax. . ( For the details see review by Richard F. ) read more

Today my service advisor was the service drive manager Alfonso. This was the best service I have ever had getting my car serviced. He made sure all my needs were met and that my car was reasonably and honestly taken care of. I definitely recommend Camelback Toyota! read more

I've owned Toyotas for 30+ years and have always had work done at Toyota dealerships.......until I moved to Phoenix and went to Camelback. No matter what you bring your vehicle in for, they will find a hundred other pricey repairs that have to be done. I've never seen so much needless up-selling in my life. The salesman stated that he would need to check and that he would call back if it was available, he called back and stated that it was not available, He said there was another vehicle that matched our specifications. What followed was a bait and switch and some hard sales tactics to get us into a 2012 much more expensive vehicle. We ended up buying the vehicle we wanted at a very good price at Tempe Power Toyota. I would like to describe to you the worse car buying experience I have ever had. On sunday, 10/11/2009, I called Camelback Toyota's Fleet Sales Department and spoke to Dennis, a Fleet Sales Manager. I described to Dennis the Model of vehicle I was searching for and he informed me that there were two vehicles on the lot that matched my description. After neogotiating price I told Dennis that I would be at the dealership within 3 hours; since I was coming from Tucson, AZ and the dealership is in Phoenix, AZ, which is nearly 120 miles. (I didn't go to a tucson dealership since they were all closed on Sunday and I was only in Tucson for the day to co-sign a car with my sister.) After I arrived at the dealership I was greeted by another Fleet manager named, Mohammed. Mohammed said he was going to help me since Dennis was busy helping another customer on the phone. When I was taken out to the lot, Mohammed takes me to the a group of Toyota Sienna's (This was the type of car I was in search for), but none were a match to the vehicle that I negotiated over the phone. Even though I wasn't shown the vehicle I intended to see, Mohammed was very persistent at having me test drive one of the cars that was shown to me. I informed Mohammed that there would be no point of test driving a different vehicle than the one I negotiated. After stating that I wasn't interested in another vehicle, Mohammed leaves for a moment and comes back informing me that the car actually sold the day before and the reason for the misinformation was due to a delay in the inventory system. I was shocked and surprised that this sort of thing could happen. But the worse part of this ordeal was when my brother, whom was with me at the time stated one comment indicating his disgruntleness, Mohammed then has the nerve to stop the conversion, say that he wasnt paid enough to deal with this type of situtation and then proceeded to walk away. Along with my family, I was extremely upset at this point. We wasted 5 hours of our lives, driving back and forth to get tricked and dupped. The excuse proved by Mohammed doesnt even sound valid. If the reason was true, wouldn't it be known by all the sales people, in which a sales person would then go check the lot if a deal was being made. In fact, It seems that lying is common trait within all the sales people at Camelback Toyota since after Mohammed left another Fleet Manager named Robert came out and attempted to do Damage control by lying as well. Robert attempted to tweak his words to make it seem that Dennis and Mohammed did not lie by saying that even though the car was sold the day before they can find the car somewhere. Dennis lied by saying the car was there to just bring us to the dealership. What a bunch of bullshit. Now what kind of dealership does that? We drove 120 miles because we thought we had a deal with a reputable company but was sadly mistaken to find that this was a bait and switch ploy. And on top of that the dealership gets the nerve to get mad at us for being mad at this situation? Like I said, I was only in tucson for one day, I actually live in southern california going to Tucson with the sole intention to make this deal and this happens. This was a total waste of time and money. Be rested assured that I will make it my best effort to get the word out that this dealership is a sham(I will blog, leave comments on review sites and any other outlet that i can find) and also be assured that atleast no one I know personally will ever go to Camelback Toyota. read more

This is a good place to buy a car if you deal with the fleet or Internet people. We have bought several Toyotas in recent years and three of four have been from here, as they beat significantly the best price we could get elsewhere. But they are absolutely thieves when it comes to service. Be very careful. First of all, you must understand that all Toyota service managers are paid on a commission basis. The more services they sell you, the more money they make. They are not service managers; they are service salesman. My two-year-old Avalon was due a free detail from Camelback. So I took it in. While sitting in the waiting room I was amazed at the steady stream of service managers who would come in and tell their waiting pigeons the long list of additional services they really needed in addition to whatever it was they had come in for. Totally unnecessary things like power steering flushes, EFI services, transmission fluid plushes, etc. These are all things for which they charge $100 to $300. Then it was my turn. My guy came in and told me I really needed new tires. He was pretty embarrassed when I pointed out that the tires I had on the car had only 2000 miles on them. read more

The service center here is UTTERLY INCOMPETENT!!! (read the other reviews). I only go to these idiots for warranty work. Here is today's experience: 1. I called yesterday to schedule an appt for two warranty issues. The person that scheduled my appt told me that there would be no issues and it would only take a couple of hours. I've taken my car here before & I'm already in their system. 2. I arrive at my appointed time the next day and there is no record of my appointment of the service work. Wasted 15 minutes before someone realizes that they misspelled my last name. Wasted an additional 15 minutes explaining what I wanted done. And then another service adviser comes over ... and I wasted another 15 minutes. Ok ... finally out of here & I've missed the schuttle that I had requested 45 minutes earlier. 3. A couple of hours later they call me to say that they need to order my parts & they aren't sure when they will be in. But they can order them ... and they will call when they are in. 4. I go back to get my car & went to pay for the oil change. They can't find my paperwork. I quickly realized that even though the adviser said he would get my name changed back to the correct spelling, it clearly wasn't a priority for him. 5. Out to my car and ... no sticker to mark the oil change. This is the second time in a row that they failed to put the stupid sticker in. 6. The first guy that I spoke with told me that they have someone onsite to fix windshield dings & they could take care of it, but I would need to pay someone else. The second guy said, "yeah yeah yeah". Guess what? They didn't get it fixed ... and then BLAMED ME saying that they only do the mechanical & I need to contact the windshield person myself. read more

Since I have had my Toyota I have taken it to the dealership for regular service (5000k, oil change +). Upon moving to PHX, I hit a critical maintenance point (based on my owners manual), 60K I needed to get a few more things looked at and decided to schedule one of their package services the prices looked relatively reasonable for what they listed as part of that service. (taken from their web site) FOR 2003 & NEWER TRUCKS INCLUDES: * Replace engine oil (up to 5 quarts) * Install Genuine Toyota dual-stage oil filter * Rotate tires * Balance Tires * Replace engine air filter * Replace cabin air filter (if equipped) * Inspect and service brakes * Inspect EFI system * Check for diagnostic trouble code(s) * Lubricate drive shaft bushing* * Lubricate propeller shaft * Replace limited-slip differential fluid, if equipped * Replace spark plugs** * Re-torque drive shaft bolt * Re-torque propeller shaft bolt INSPECT THE FOLLOWING: Automatic transmission fluid, ball joints and dust covers, drive shaft boots, engine coolant, exhaust pipes and mountings, fuel lines and connections, fuel tank band and vapor vent system hoses, fuel tank cap gasket, manual transmission oil, radiator core and condenser, steering gear box, steering linkage and boots, transfer case oil. It also included a basic car wash. The price of the package was $298...when I mentioned the online coupon for $289 they honored that price. They hooked me up with a rental car ($35 which he said he would refund the base cost I would just be responsible for $7ish in taxes.) OK...this all seemed reasonable. I left my vehicle as they said the service and inspections would take a few hours. In typical Service Department fashion they call about an hour into service and told me that my serpentine was showing cracks (expected this as this was the original belt and I do reside in the dry SW), my battery was failing on load (Ok this is also my original battery, expected) and they were recommending the Fuel Injector cleaning service they offered. Declining the fuel injector cleaning, I also declined the battery change ( I can do that myself), while I have done the serpentine in the past on my old pre Toyota SUV, I decided to just let them change it out. (WOW an extra $200...$100 for parts and $100 for labor). Maybe I should have done it at home. [When I reviewed my receipt the other services I declined were going to total another $400 extra...WOAH!] Good thing I declined. I left paying almost $600 breathing a sigh of relief that I decined those other service. Other than the sticker shock I can say I was pleased with the quality of the service I received. The service employee (West) who assisted me was very friendly, as was the lady at the rental counter. They called me when my vehicle was ready and I was quickly able to pay and leave. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS DEALERSHP!!! They will rip you off! 3 days ago I purchased a new RAV 4 from this dealership. They are NOT customer focused and NOT willing to bring any level of Customer service after the sale. In my case, the trade value that they gave to me was extremely low and when I questioned it, they told me "Don't worry, we will pay it off". What they actually did was add the dfference to my loan and never shared that information with me. They told me they ASSUMED that I would know that they were doing that. I had not purchased a vehicle with a trade in many years so their assumption that I would just know was unfounded. When I called the dealership to try to resolve the issues, no one returned my call, I had to send a FAX to John McNally to get someone to call me back. During the sales process everyone was nice and friendly but when I needed assistance days after the sale, they did nothing but offer me $250. The General Manager's assistant Kim McCabe and the Assistant Sales Manager Ross (don't know his last name) finally called me 3 days later and were not able to resolve the issue. Poor choice of dealerships for me..I should have paid more attention the reviews. I WILL NOT RETURN TO CAMELBACK TOYOTA AND WILL NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE IN THE FUTURE. read more

My sales person was Quentin Shires. He was amazing. NEVER pushed, answered my questions with a very personable and professional attitude. Brian and Boo were also fantastic. NEVER even blinked when I went hard core in haggling for a lower price. This is the second RAV4 I have purchased here. After deciding to give a dealership another chance to change my mind about dealerships again I was disappointed. I went in for an oil change and car wash and was told I need over $2000 of repairs on my Prius. Yes you have a nice waiting room, however after being told that it would only be about an hour and a half, and waiting 3 hours, I was not too impressed. As far as the car wash, I had a better one from Saguaro High's football team! I'll stick with Brake Masters for my oil changes! read more

This place stinks. My elderly mother leased a car from Power Toyota in Tempe and tried to return it to Camelback Toyota since she lived closer to this location. The Sales Team/Service Manager told her she would have to pay $50 for an inspection fee just to return the vehicle. She correctly called them out as a scam and we drove out to Power Toyota where they allowed us to return the vehicle with no hassle. Power Toyota is a top dealership in the Valley, this place is filled with Scum. read more

Went here the end of last year when I was shopping for my Tacoma. Was greeted by Greg (reminded me of Gabriel Iglesias) who was great. Took a few test drives and was ready to start negotiating. This is where my experience turned foul. The person who serves as a liaison between the people behind the desk on the computers was offensive, rude, and just had a bad attitude. He was pushy, and tried rushing me into making a decision. He felt the need to do a whole "ohh ohh, in your face" bit when I mistakenly matched a what I thought was lower online price for a certain Tacoma than was listed on the sticker. After I gave him what I was willing to pay for a Tacoma, he scoffed and told Greg "Pfft, he's never gonna' find a Tacoma for that price. Why don't you show him some used cars or something," and walked off. He knew I was there to overhear, but wanted to make it very obvious. I wish I took his name to put in a survey or something. I remember him physically resembling J.K. Simmons. I ended up spending some more time shopping and finally find my brand new Tacoma at different dealership. Because of this experience, I specifically filtered vehicles *not* in this location simply because I did not want to return. I refuse to come here even for service, and I always share my experience to people shopping for Toyotas. I feel a bit bad about this review because Greg was a great guy. Seemed like he was just trying to make an honest living, and was really eager to show me the newest models. read more

Worst dealership I have ever dealt with! Salesman that I test drove with was nice, but his boss was the biggest douchebag I've encountered in a long time! I wanted a third row 4Runner and the salesman went to check with his boss on inventory. I could hear every word the douchebag said and I hear him say, in a condescending tone, "It doesn't exist. Tell her it doesn't exist. Get her to go for the Highlander." So I tell him that it isn't a unicorn, it does exist, they just don't have it. What do you know, 3 minutes later he magically finds more than one at another dealer. When we start talking numbers, he has the nerve to cut the value of my trade-in to half of what Kelly Blue Book says it's worth. Even worse, he claims it's because of the Carfax report. He says there has been 3 accidents, which is BS because it had a clean Carfax when I bought it and I have been in no accidents. Don't give them your business! Liars with attitude! read more

5 months later and I'm still discovering these people are crooks. From the salesman, manager to finance guy. Bought my car with 9k mikes. I was told ToyotaCare transfers to new owner buying the certified preowned car if under 24k and under 24 months. BIG FAT LIE! Took it to Avondale Toyota for the oil change and was charged and told that camelback Toyota lied, theres no such thing as transferring ToyotaCare to a car. Only nee car owners or when you buy the package separately will you get it. Proves just scums in this place. read more

Excellent service team. They always get me I. Last minute for oil changes and are so professional. Communication is excellent. They also arrange for a Lyft driver to take you to your office which is amazing not having to wait for the shuttle and multiple drop offs. read more

I stopped in to Camelback Toyota to purchase a used VW Golf that was listed on their website. I was really happy with the salesman Brian, unfortunately the finance guy Griffin Murray was not the most transparent about what I was signing up for. After I got home that night and was reviewing the paperwork I noticed that I had a service plan for $2055 added to my contract. This plan was not spoken of when I was signing all the paperwork. The next day I had to go in and ask why it was added and he told me that financing companies like to have it on older cars. This was most likely a lie seeing that he makes money from getting people to sign up to these plans. I was unable to get the contract on the loan changed but I was able to get the service contract canceled. If you buy a car from Camelback Toyota please do yourself a favor and avoid Griffin. read more

Purchased a $20k Certified Pre Owned car from them, with a headlight that would flicker and then go out after being on for 15 minutes and wiper fluid sprayers that didn't work. Would not do business again under any circumstances, won't take my car in there for service either because I don't trust them. There are better Toyota dealers in town. read more

Awesome service, no haggle, most modern building and service at the dealership. Haven't dealt with their service department, but their internet and in-person sales was awesome. Be careful about which extended warranty you go with - but you already know that! read more
