To be polite, it was a "Murphy's Law" situation. While I have been in contact with the company since then, the latest was a (written) promise to address the damages by January 2026. The guys did a great job moving upstairs my ultra heavy desk that another moving company couldn't handle. I wish I had used Camelot for the entire move. They protected the staircase with blankets and got the desk there. This was it, we finally decided to make our move across country and we had to make the huge decision on which moving company to help us out. We had a lot of choices of companies to choose from, but from its reputation we chose Camelot. I got a quote from Daniel that was extremely fair and started to work with my family boxing and wrapping up the furniture. When Lorenzo and Jason came out I had done my best to make it easy, but these guys made what I had done even more easy. They took time and care treating my items like they were their own and everything was loaded quickly and efficiently onto their truck and then into the long haul pod company that I choose to ship my items across country. I knew that Camelot and a lot of other movers do ship across country but for me I chose with the items that I had to ship with a pod company otherwise I would have gone with Camelot from start to finish due to the quality, care and pricing of the moving services. He was happy to step in and help me in anyway he could. His staff, Daniel and Eileen, are ever so helpful and professional. When it came down to the move date, Junior was my driver. Sean and Jason and several other young men prepared the load and helped load it with Junior. They were all so courteous and thoughtful. My move was out of state. Junior brought my load to my new home and took the best care to deliver. He is incredibly courteous and professional and just an all-around nice person. I recently moved my elderly mother from 50 miles away to be closer in proximity to where I live. It was a big move for her, so nerves were in the mix. The movers (Sean, Jacob, and Tyler) were exactly what we needed to calm us down. They were considerate and careful with her belongings as well as proficient and efficient with the time. I used this same moving company in 2002 for myself and had the same experience. Great company culture since their movers are careful, considerate, clean (even the truck :-). Moving is stressful. Moving to another state is even more stressful. Having a dependable and caring company to move the stuff that you've accumulated over your whole lifetime is a big deal. My family and I have used Camelot in the past to move within Santa Clarita a few times over the last 20 years. The prices have always been reasonable, and the work done expertly and efficiently. I've hired them for small jobs too, like moving appliances or furniture from one location to another. They always found a way to fit it into their schedule at a reasonable price. The big test came last year, when we decided to move from Valencia to Reno, NV. We had a 2100 sq ft home brimming with hard to move items, a garage full of tools, even a pinball machine. And we were moving to new construction which meant we'd need to store our stuff for a while and to a tentative date until the house was finished. Camelot got the job done, and made what was a logistical nightmare in my head, seem effortless. They charged exactly what was quoted. We had no problems at all, and all was on time. It was an awesome surprise to have Billy K, the owner, show up as my delivery driver in Reno! He has some great stories to tell from his adventures. Along with the crew, they packed pretty much all of our house (including a baby grand piano)I put it into storage, and moved it from Los Angeles to North Carolina right before Xmas. Let's talk about interstate moving. It sucks. It's expensive. And there are lots of companies that will hold your stuff until THEIR truck is jammed so they can make all the money possible. And then hold your stuff hostage for "overages". NOT Camelot! From my first meeting with Billy (seriously, the owner comes to your house for the walk-through estimate?), to subsequent conversations with Daniel for scheduling (and we were NOT easy), to Jason and the team on the LA end, and Sean on the Oregon end...I cannot say enough about this company and the care and responsiveness they show. And they were pretty close in price to the national companies estimates...but those estimates are not "binding". We had one of the more difficult moves, I think, that come up. We were moving out of a house in the hills. Narrow streets, multiple levels/flights of stairs. These guys had to park the semi 4 miles away and use two small box trucks to shuttle from our house to the truck. So they essentially loaded out my house twice. They arrived in Oregon two days after the end of the load out. What interstate mover delivers your entire life in TWO days?! Camelot, that's who. They showed up early, got everything off the truck and in the house, played nice with the new neighbors, and left us to dig our way out of the boxes. :) I hope I never have to move again, but if I do, and Billy and Camelot will do it, they are hands down who I would use. read more

Overall, the service was pretty good. Our movers were nice and didn't fool around. They got in and out of the house in a decent amount of time and were very helpful. However, there were two things that I wish had been different. 1. We only had two movers. It would have been nice if we had had more because everything would have gone a lot faster and since Camelot charges by the hour, we wouldn't have had to pay as much. 2. Our movers smelled strongly of nicotine. Which is fine I guess, but what was not great was that we could smell nicotine intensely around the truck and outside where they were loading our things. This could only mean that they were smoking cigarettes while on the job whenever they went outside. This may not bother some people, but as someone who does not smoke cigarettes it was kind of annoying. Again, overall the service was good. They were efficient and pretty fast considering the circumstances. We'll most likely use them again. read more

Carolyn Kornfeld of Camelot movers and her husband Billy Kornfeld are the worst! Carolyn Kornfeld is the Absolute WORST. Carolyn's position is the claims adjuster for the company which means if you move and incur any damages to your personal property, they set you up. They don't tell you that Carolyn pays out any claims for her and husbands company, Camelot Movers. It is the BIGGEST CONFLICT of interest as Carolyn determines your damages only thinking of her company first. Billy Kornfeld will tell you that your $720 fee that you pay is for your insurance, but it's not, they just pocket that money! Get everything in writing and make sure that you know that Carolyn Kornfeld of Camelot Movers is not only one of the owners but also the claims adjuster!!! Think about that! I hope the attorney general looks into their scheming business practices! read more
