While I do love the culture and excess of New Mexican restaurants, it's been really lovely to visit a spot that caters to my health-conscious lifestyle and the staff were friendly and helpful. Eating in Gallup is never a thing we do. EVER! However this time we were starving. I checked out Yelp and it led us to this gem! First walking in, it was clean and bright. The employees greeted us right away and helped us sort out the menu. They made recommendations and told us the wait time on various menu items, which is quite helpful when you have starving teenagers with you. I had the soup and it was good. DD had a salad that looked really good. I was not impressed with the dressing however, looked too processed and dd agreed. DD's friend had a pizza. It smelled great and all the ingredients looked fresh. Dh had a sandwich that was quite tasty too. We would definitely go back to this place. Good, clean, and fresh food! My mom and I stopped here on our Route 66 road trip and it was decent! I was disappointed that the two small concrete tables outside baking in the sun were the only outdoor seating given this place's name but I can't complain because it can be hard finding dog friendly restaurants. My mom loved her chicken salad sandwich and she is a pretty harsh critic! I also liked my veggie wrap, which was called the Sonoma. This was a terrible experience. The wait staff mumbled and had a bit of an attitude (we unfortunately have to eat gluten-free), the equipment was loud (which didn't make the mumbling any easier), and they forgot to even MAKE one of our party's order. Welcome to camille's rude customer service and unanswered questions. I walked into this facility for the first time and I could see this place has great colors and a nice menu and people look like they may be friendly. I was wrong. I asked the manager for assistance and she told me to hold on and never came back. So I ask the cashier young lady because I have already let 4 customers ahead of me. I ask her my allergy questions and she goes on about gluten free bread when I'm asking about an egg allergy. The people here are rude and avoid questions they dont know the answer to. FINALLY! Great healthy food in Gallup! I was brought here by a friend this afternoon and had limited expectations due to the fact that this town has 70 restaurants and I've been to about half and only liked two or three and they were just okay, this place how ever is out of place in the best possible way. The food is fresh and use local ingredients to make amazing food, I'm here this evening because I couldn't get enough! I tried the kale smoothie, sounded like hippy in a cup but tasted great! The prices are good considering what you get and being this is an oasis in a town filled with fast food and green chili sauce. I'd bring the family here any day of the week!!! read more

I was so impressed with Camille's Sidewalk Cafe while passing through Gallup, NM that I stopped in again on my return trip. The food was fresh, reasonably priced, and served with a smile. It's a great location right in downtown Gallup, which I had never visited before. It's a nice, clean downtown with some shops and restaurants. There is not a ton to do, but it's worth the 5 minute drive off the interstate if you're passing by. The cafe was very clean and spacious, although the atmosphere is a bit sterile. They have a great menu full of sandwiches, salads, flat breads, wraps, etc. They also have a nice selection of fresh made smoothies, which I enjoying on both stops. I'm a sucker for a strawberry banana smoothie, and it did not disappoint. If I'm near Gallup in the future, I'll be back! read more

What a find! Having seen the grimy McDonalds in the Gallup Walmart, my hopes for a decent, fast meal in Gallup were low. We found Camille's on Yelp and, despite the low number of reviews tried it. What we found is a very well decorated and very clean place. Service was fast and our food was ready nearly by the time we finished paying. Some days the food and customer service were okay, however one day during The Ceremonials we had a bad experience. My mom and I had bought our lunch there, but an hour later my mom attempted to purchase some iced tea and use the facilities, but they wouldn't let her. Came in for breakfast. The service girl was nice and the atmosphere was cheerful but... As soon as I walked in, this stench of urine hits me. Seriously it smelled like urine. The breakfast menu looked kind of interesting... Mostly wraps. I picked the vegetarian zenergy nutra wrap. It definitely was healthy and no grease at all - which I liked. But the taste or the textures in my mouth were gross. None of it went with each other... Slimy mushrooms, tomato, cold scrambled egg, spinach, cold rice - all wrapped in a spinach tortilla. The rice in the wrap overpowered the egg and everything was kind of cold. Plus a sad little side of Mott's apple sauce came with it - gross. Maybe lunch is better. But I still have the weird flavors from the wrap in my mouth and it seriously makes me want to throw up. read more
