Spoke with the rep on the phone who said we needed to get some additional shots before the interview. So took our puppy to the vet and got all the shots the vet required/permitted. Called to reschedule the interview process and a different rep said they still will not take our dog because his shots are not complete. Of course our vet will not administer any more shots for another month - until after we need our dog kenneled. So besides a somewhat draconian immunization policy (I guess people with puppies shouldn't go on vacation), we were misinformed by the first phone rep and are a faced with finding a kennel on very short notice. As a business owner, its clear the employees are poorly trained. I guess its better to find out in this manner than with some mishap regarding our dog. read more

I have a very active dog that likes to play. Koda loves her friends at Camp Bow Bow. The staff is very caring. Koda is a Dogo Argentino and needs to be active. She comes home happy and exhausted. I have a very busy schedule and I don't know how I could give my dog the exercise she needs without the help of Camp Bow Bow. read more

This is my first review EVER on Yelp! We normally have a home sitter for our fur babies when we travel. This time we decided to board them. We booked in January with our local vet for our May trip. They were expecting to have a play area ready before our check in dates. About 6 weeks before hand we went in for a check-up & asked to see where they were going to be kept (together, as one is a small Terrier/Chihuahua & one is a Shepherd) The largest kennel was shown to us. It's about 3x5 with a concrete floor. We were informed the play yard wouldn't be done & hadn't even been started. That the dogs go out only 2-3x a day up to 15 minutes to stretch & relieve themselves. When asking if we could bring their things for comfort from home? No! As soon as we left I immediately said no way our babies are staying there! An emergency is one thing! They aren't concrete dogs.... We dropped them off at home & headed to check out camp bow wow, Henderson. Upon arriving we noticed the place was very clean & inviting! A water fountain for the pups & camera monitors right up front to see all the dogs in the play yards. We were greeted right away by the camp director, Holly. We told her our dilemma & she offered right then to take us herself on a tour of the facility. The tour was lengthy because she took her time to show us step by step EVERYTHING they do there to keep track of everyday steps & dogs. Each ones items, needs, meds, meals, treats, naps, & even time outs from one another if they can't get along with someone. She answered the hundred questions this mom had! :) She even showed us pups that were in resting with their own security items from home as well as the ones in the play yards. She showed us each size room that yes, also have concrete floors BUT EVERY SINGLE ONE comes with cots!! (& the large we would get was larger than the vets) Also, if you bring your own bedding they still leave cots under your bed for added comfort so your babies aren't just on that concrete floor! We noticed how every kennel has a picture/name/description of each pup that was staying in it. We got to see the grooming station, the kitchen where they will do what's necessary (even heat up) your pup's food to help them eat, if necessary.... By the time we got back to the front we had already made up our minds! We booked our "doggie interview"(free day, our pups were there playing almost 6 hours! ) & our reservation! We were so sure that we also booked a stay for a family event in October. While on our vacation over seas we looked in on the cameras at least 50x. Seeing our babies wagging their tails & mingling told us all we needed to know for being first time boarders. I even emailed one time to check in & got a reply in less that 5 minutes!! With that we booked yet a third stay for a reunion! I'm guilty of checking the cameras several times for almost a month before my babies even stayed in this facility. To see how the staff was with the dogs. I encourage this if you're first time boarders & scared like I was! I can't tell you how happy we were knowing our babies weren't just stuck in a cage on concrete floors for 23.5 hours a day for 8 days. We recommend this place to anyone who wants to give their pets good care & be able to still stretch, play, run, relax & have some comforts of home at night when safely tucked in. Very nicely kept facilities. Fun and friendly attentive staff. We are always greeted by name when we walk in, and the staff are always helpful and happy. I was a bit anxious the first time we left Rouka for the day because I wanted her to have a great experience. The staff were super sweet and put me at ease, making it a great day for myself and Rouka. I loved that I could watch via camera and was happy to see that all the dogs were enjoying their day. I was able to know that Rouka was having a good day and that the staff were doing a great job with the dogs in their charge. We love Camp Bow Wow and would recommend them. We used to go to the other CBW on Valley View, but then we found out about the Henderson location which is much closer to our house. It's a little tricky to find the first time, but it's worth it. Really lovely facility! We got a full tour when we went to pickup our dogs after a 3 night staycation. We were genuinely surprised by how nice the 'back of house' is and how organized the staff seems to be. Combine all that with the much improved iPhone app and Camp Bow Wow is a great place for daytime play and/or overnighters. We have a 80 lb pit mix and a 100 lb boxer and they absolutely love going to CBW! read more

We love taking our dog to doggie daycare at Camp Bow Wow. The play area is indoor and outdoor which is essential. The local pet store's play area doesn't offer this so our dog eventually went on the floor. This confused her and we had a couple accidents at home. The price here is a little higher but totally worth it just for that reason. And they offer package deals that lower the cost. Camp Bow Wow also has a great iPhone app that allows one to make reservations and view the webcams. It's fun to check in and watch our dog playing! The staff is great too! read more

Daisy loves Camp Bow Wow. She was a rescue and has her quirks, but warmed up quick. The staff has been great with her. She didn't want to eat the first time I boarded her, but they went the extra mile and offered to put pumpkin in her food to get her to eat. I take her now for daycare regularly. We've been taking Molly here for roughly 7 months. We're super sad to be moving away from this location and Camp Bow Wow is one of the reasons why! The staff here is really professional and caring. I have known about this place BEFORE it opened. I was excited to find out that this place is opening near my home. Anita, the owner, is great! She really cares about the dogs and always remember my dachshund, Mocha. I just adopted another dachshund, and I can't wait to bring him there. This place helped Mocha to socialize with other dogs and the staff does their best to make sure that the dogs do not fight and they clean up after them. I love the fact that I can go to their website and watch my dog live and see how she interacts. Also, since I am a paranoid dog parent, I took a tour of the place before I let Mocha stay for the interview, and I am happy to report that the place is clean! They have fridge for the food, washer and dryer, and a station to bathe the dogs. read more

My German Shepherd pup has been going here for almost 3 weeks now and it is literally one the best things I could have ever done for him. I was really nervous about taking him here at first, but he needed some socialization and a good way to let out some energy and boy is this the place to do it. The staff here is so friendly and really helped to put me at ease. Not to mention the webcams! All it took was 5 minutes of watching my little guy romp around and I knew I made the right decision. The staff does a great job of keeping an eye on all the dogs and making sure no one gets hurt or gets too out of hand. They are also super fast about cleaning up any messes that are made (the whole facility is really impressively clean) and are always taking a little time to pet the pups. A word of caution to anyone who has a dog who likes water. Make sure you keep a towel in your car for when it comes time to pick your pup up! They put a great little pool outside when it gets hot out, and if your dog is anything like mine they will be pretty wet when you pick them up. If you have long hours or just want a place to take your pup for some fun and to let out a little energy, this is the place! read more

We won a free bath at the Bark in the Park which included an orientation day as a first time guest. For Orientation, you can drop your dog off any time, for a minimum of 3 hours, so they can see how your dog interacts with other dogs, if he/she tries to escape, is nervous, etc. The facility is a bit tricky to find off Gibson and Wigwam, but it's in a huge facility! My dog returned from orientation/day camp and was so exhausted. Being a year and 4 months, he definitely needs that so I was happy to see that. It is true that they recently opened so not many dogs there to play every day, but as time progresses, I'm sure they'll start showing up more and more. We just did our first boarding there, and while on vacation, I was able to watch my little buddy from the app they created. It shows the check in desk, the little dog room, and all the big play areas both indoors and out. They require a quick release collar, not the buckle ones, for safety reasons. They do have some loaners to use while your dog is there. I picked my dog up from his 3 night camp adventure and he immediately fell asleep on the floor and slept through the night. Exhausted! Love the staff there, extremely friendly, professional, and helpful. I like that everything is included in boarding, not where you have to purchase day camp separately. This place is awesome! The bad reviews may have been when it first opened or from people who haven't socialized their dog. We live in California but come to Henderson three or four times a year to visit my mother in law. In the past we have to either board our babies at home or take them with us and stay at mother in laws. In the winter it worked out because she has an awesome dog park a five minute walk away but most times it is too hot. Now we found Henderson Bow Wow! We were able to take our two dogs, one big, one small, and get a free all day evaluation. Our dogs loved it and were tired out from socializing. The next day we brought them back and boarded them. We spent morning with mom and evening on the strip and our babies were cool, happy and taken care of! The website is very clear; they do a thorough evaluation and it seems like they have all dogs safety and health in mind. We will definitely be back! read more

The west side Camp Bow Wow came highly recommended to me, but since the Henderson one was so much more convenient, I thought it would be just as good. I put in my online request for my dog's interview (you have to take your dog to an 'interview,' which is very inconvenient, yet very understandable for the protection of the staff and other dogs). I received my response via phone, and was told of all the requirements. They obviously require current vaccinations, but they require Bordatella to be within 6 months. I told the person on the phone that everything was current, but that my dog had not had the Bordatella within 6 months, although it was less than a year old. She said he could come to the interview, but that I would have to get another vaccine before he could be boarded. Their website says they do interviews 7 days a week in the morning, but the girl that I talked with stammered and made excuses for why they can't do one on Sunday. I was then told to come in right now (Saturday), and I DID drop everything and go running, I found their location despite the lack of help from the staff, and filled out all the paperwork they asked for, only to be told that my dog's Bordatella would have to be updated BEFORE THE INTERVIEW. This was a huge waste of my time. I don't appreciate having my time wasted because someone can't run their business properly. They are advertising and saying different things, which is a huge red flag. When I came home and got started on this review, I began watching the video footage (Camper Cam), and did see dogs get sprayed in the face with water for no reason. As my dog is afraid of water, he would have been cowering in the corner, too, as I saw in some of the other reviews. I could leave my dog with a friend or neighbor, but I wanted him to be there to have fun with other dogs. The employees just look like they're pacing. There is no interaction with the dogs, nor encouraged play... and not a single ball or toy. read more

Our puppy was crated with only 2 pet sitter visits a day (which was more expensive than a full day at camp), and the first day she went to Camp Bow Wow it was like a whole new world! She's so happy! She runs through the front door and basically says, "See ya mom! Time for camp!" She seriously has best friends at camp and even though she already goes 5 days a week (and sometimes even Saturdays) she wishes it was 7! She has the time of her life and the facility is spotless, the web cams are addicting to watch (it's like dog TV for people) and the staff is loving and takes very good care of our girl. When she lost some puppy teeth they saved them for me in case I wanted them as a scrapbook memory. They called when she was out for a week after her spay surgery just to say hello. And they also alert me if there appears to be anything wrong with her (recently she had some red eyes due to allergies). They really know her like their own! And I love getting camper report cards. We put them on our fridge! I couldn't think of a better place to take our dog each day... plus she sleeps like a rock at night after a day of playing with her friends. She's very well socialized with dogs now and even learned how to play in their pools that are in the yards when it gets warm. The opening of this location in Henderson has been a true blessing! My only wish is a mobile app for Android to watch our girl. :) read more

My husband and I travel a lot for both work and pleasure so we have been looking for a great place for our beagles to stay at that gives them all the love and attention that they would receive at home. We have tried a handful of "pet resorts" and have had mixed reviews. We decided to try Camp Bow Bow out and when I dropped off the girls for their evaluation, both seemed excited and ran right back, which never happens with them. The staff was extremely friendly and I received a courtesy call that both girls were doing great and having such a great time that they were welcome to stay the rest of the day to play. Both girls loved Camp Bow Wow soo much, we have brought them to day camp just to play. The staff remembered both girls and knew which was which (they are both tri-colored beagles).
