I was very pleased with the care my doodle, Faye, received while we were away. It was especially comforting to know that they cared enough to contact me when Faye didn't eat her meals the first two days. She had a bit of separations anxiety since it was her first time away from us. I also appreciated the web-cam viewing. I liked that I could check in at any time during the day and see my doodle just playing with the other dogs. I would recommend this place if you ever need to leave your furry friend. My girls love going to CBW and I know they are taken care of because I can see how much fun they have on camera. * I'm distressed that there isn't an employee in the building all night long. I don't leave my girls home alone all night and neither should CBW. We all pay a lot for boarding and expect better. *We also notice that employees are nose blind- it is stinky when we come in. Camp Bow Wow is a "camp" for dogs. They provide doggy daycare (full and half days), overnight stays and basic grooming packages. There have multiple play areas with access to outside areas. When you first come in you are greeted by friendly staff. You really feel like you are leaving your fur baby at camp. Before you are able to schedule any activity your dog goes through an "interview" process... which is a day at camp to watch how your pet interacts with the other campers and staff. When the interview process is over and everything goes well... you get a certificate stating your pup successfully passed the interview. It is a super cute certificate with your pups pic on it. They also send home a D-Tails card that tells you how your pups day went. For those who wonder how their pup is doing, they have live web cams and an app you can download to see how your pup is doing through out the day... you can also call to check on them if you like. The facility seemed very clean and well taken care of. My pup was super excited to see me and had an accident when I picked her up... the staff was very quick to clean it up. My pup must of had a good day playing because she feel asleep on the floor as soon as we came home. I am glad we brought our dog over to Camp Bow Wow and will definitely visit again. read more

Will never bring my pups here again! Drop my 3 dogs off at 7am(the time they open and advertise) for daycare, go home and about 830 decided to look on the camera how they were doing until much to my surprise they were not there! After calling they lady on the phone tells me they just figured they'd open the yard later because no other daycares arrived. Funny, if no other dogs came I wonder if they would still be in a kennel. So they had my pups in a kennel for almost 2 hours because it was easier and more convenient for them. After getting a ahold a manger (holly) she apologized for the "miscommunication" as she likes to put it and tried to normalize it by saying they even close the yard at 6/630 sometime to "clean and stuff" as if "clean and stuff" was my problem or concern. My concern is they're "cleaning and stuff" at 630 is the time They're getting paid for my dogs to be in the yard. And then when I try to tell her that she's tells my, as if a vet, that's too long for my dogs to be in the yard anyway!! My dogs can sleep in the yard if they're tired or they can sleep at home or if she really cares maybe she should offer daycare for increments of hours she deems appropriate. Truly they're hours are 7, maybe if they have enough dogs or maybe 9 and closing hours for the daycare yard are 7 or maybe 6/630 depending on Went to the lv camp bow wow and pups love it In response to Holly's comment: Let me get this straight, because you guys write play times from hours 7 to 7 and "unlimited" isn't written in there the customer is just suppose to assume that dogs are going to be put in cabins at any given time because you want to or find it convenient? With absolutely no indication that they be put in a cabin we're suppose to pull that from "daycare hours 7 to 7" Wow I didn't know we were suppose to read between the lines. If McDonalds advertise opening hours from 7 to 7 are customers suppose to magically know they actually don't serve food till 10? Furthermore, I don't need your input as to what is safe for my dog or not, I didn't know dogs were completely incapable of going to sleep while in the play yard.. I never paid you for your input I paid for my dogs to be in the play yard from 7 to 7. I don't see any limitations set of how long the dogs can be in there, as a matter a fact your pricing list there, online website, nor Brochure state dogs recommended time in the play yard, in that case why do you have the option of half and full day? if what you're saying it's not recommend dogs stay in there the whole time, the whole time which mind you, you advertise and being payed to do so, then why are the options available? read more

We have a 5 month old Puggle, and have never used a Dog Day care before. I saw their ad on FB and then looked up reviews. We called and had an interview to see if our puppy would be a good fit. She was there for 3 hours, and the whole time I was able to watch while at work through their webcam!!! She had a great time and at no time was she left alone. An attendant was always in the play area with the dogs, they cleaned up any messes immediately, really I mean immediately!! We had our puppy stay for 2 nights when we went on a weekend vacation, again it was so great to be able to look in on her to see that she was having fun and well taken care of. She also had a bath and her nails done while there, great job. I will use them for all our Doggie day care needs, and I highly recommend them. CBW, as we call it, is a place where Ms. Duchess VonBarri can engage in interpersonal relationships with both canines and humans. Although she prefers the company of humans over canines, she still gets the much needed play and attention 3-4 times a week that she would not get from other places who claim to provide similar services. The reason we choose CBW was convenience but more importantly: 1. The ease of use (dropoff and pickup). 2. The ability of the camp counselors to give each pet specialized attention. 3. Not impressed at all. that's an understatement. I was a little horrified to be honest. Reminds me of a shelter...not a camp for dogs. Or a prison. I came here for the meetup yappy hour. They had the meetup in the lobby of camp bow wow. The meetup was ok but since I was there I decided I would do a tour of the place to check out the facilities. So in order to do a tour of the place your dog has to stay in the lobby while they take you to the back to check it out. Apparently they said when your dog is in daycare there they are in these cages for most of the day and that they go to the play area for just a short amount of time. Since they need time to "rest." The kennels were small and they were completely empty. Looked like a prison. I saw three large dogs in one kennel and they looked miserable. Like those poor dogs had done something wrong and were in there doing time. The whole back area as soon as I went to the back reeked of urine and on the very short tour I took there were two puddles of urine I almost stepped in. The "play rooms" consist of a maybe 15x15 space with nothing in it but a ladder looking thing that looked like it had never been cleaned. There were two of these "play areas". All on cement. The person who was giving me the tour said this play area had grass in it but I didn't see anything. Maybe she was delusional or something because all that was in those two rooms was a concrete floor and a horrible ladder ramp thingy. They wouldn't let me go in the room but from where I was standing I could see the ladder looking ramp thing had urine all over it. The person on the tour showed me the "suites" and said they had tvs in them. I didn't see the tvs either and the rooms did not look luxurious by any means. My dog isn't interested in TV anyways. I don't think my dog even knows what a TV is. there is a tiny room at the front where they keep all the toy breeds and it sounded like they don't let them socialize with the other larger dogs. It was literally a room about the size of my closet. I didn't see any toys in there or anything for that matter. It was so horrible. How on earth does this place have good reviews? I don't want my dog locked up all day long. How is this fun for him? If your dog has chewed up your favorite pair of shoes and you want to teach him a lesson then I would suggest sending him here for a day. read more

I've taken my dog to the other Camp Bow Wows and never had a problem. This facility ,however, very much disappointed me. First, I call a week ahead to make reservations for my dog. No answer after the tries (one at 9:30 AM, 10:00 AM, and 11 AM). I get it, it gets busy. So they finally pick up at 11:30, I talk to someone there and after telling her that I've been to their other camps and I wanted a reservation for 4 nights, she tells me the administrator was not there yet to book my reservation and that she will take my info and pass it on (assuring me that I should receive a call within 2 hours). Okay, cool. I didn't get a call so I called them at 5PM. Told another a girl the story and she apologized and she will take my reservation. Took an entire day to make a reservation! That should have been a flag. I brought my dog in and dropped him off. I checked up on him almost everyday on their webcam services they had. I felt that the handlers here were not as attentive as the other camps. Another flag. I call to make sure he's okay. They told me he was doing fine and eating fine. IMPORTANT: they are not open on Sundays like the other facilities. They are only open a couple hours throughout the day to feed and with barely any playtime compared to the other days. This would have been nice to know. Maybe you should notify your customers that their dogs are mostly alone on Sundays and the owners are not getting what they pay for. The night before I was supposed to pick him up, I get an email at 10 PM from this facility that I was scheduled to pick my dog up that day and that I have to pick him up the next day because they are fully booked. This is what sets me off. If a dog was supposed to be picked up, wouldn't it be a better idea to call or email a couple hours before the facility is closed?! seriously?! Wtf am I supposed to do at 10pm? Also, I made reservations and confirmed and reconfirmed and reconfirmed. They made the mistake and sent me a unprofessional email. A$$ I pick my dog up the next day. They return my dog who ran to me as if he wanted to get away from that place asap. Weird, out of the 4 other boarding places I take him to, he usually is too tired from all the playing but still happy to see me. They give me the dog food bag I packed for him and its nearly full. Meaning my 80lb dog only ate maybe 3 cups of food in 4 days. Sign of neglection? I think so. I do not recommend this place and will not be bringing him back to facility. read more

I have taken my pups to many doggy daycares. Camp Bow Wow is consistently the best! They love it here. Its clean, the staff always remembers my dogs' names, and I love watching them on the HD cameras on my phone or computer all day. I recently boarded them here for 9 days while I was on a business trip. I was able to check in on them daily via the cameras and by calling. Reviews are very, very important. In hindsight I should of known better than to go off of a reference. A team member there Kachella is a dear friend who has watched my daughter,as well as my English Bulldog, Theordore, on many occasions, which is why I decided to take him there. After dropping him off we toured the camp and noticed that like his interview he was being anti social/ looks a little timid. In the past he has had bad confrontations with larger dogs so we decided to call and see if there was another alternative for Theordore. Theordore is three and a half and weighs 56 pounds. He is big in size but short on statute. I was fortunate enough to speak to the owner thinking that there would be a compromise to appease Theordore and myself, as his owner. I was told that because of his weight he had to stay with the large dogs because of the weight rules, I understand that rules are rules. I was hoping that the owner of the business would give me some piece of mind which they state on their website "Put yourself in your customers shoes, what if this was my pup." But instead I was told to immediately pick him up or call my emergency contact, which is not an option because I'm out of town and my contact does work. Moreover, instead of suggesting to put him in his temporary kettle where he can relax and feel confortable she ends the call by hanging up. Now I'm calling them several times and I keep getting sent to voicemail. What do I do? I feel guilt and my dog is stuck at the camp. I haven't seen them pet my dog, let alone any other dog, and honestly they aren't very friendly, and organized at the front desk. I do NOT recommend Camp Bow Wow in Henderson as a pet friendly or even human friendly camp as an alternative to leave a part of your family behind for boarding or for just a playful Sunday get away. Of course no apology from the owner. Just excuses on her feed back review. The reason he became comfortable is because he was out with smaller dogs. We watched him everyday while we were out of town. Once again he will not return and I recommend others look for other care for their dog. Besides our dear friend, Kachalla there they never petted ANY of the dogs, no toys were given for play time either. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR YOUR DOG HERE. They do not play with the dogs at all. Staff walks around the play area like zombies. I took three small dogs in for their interview. They were there from 7am to 3 pm. I watched the camp camera from 11am to 3 pm and they did not interact with my dogs. At one point the girl who was walking in circles took her spray bottle and sprayed my dogs in their faces causing my dogs to run in the corner of the room. We discovered Camp Bow Wow in 2015 we went on vacation and left our 1 year old pup with them. Great service. I love that we could watch our buddy play from across the country. Today we dropped off our second for her interview. She passed and Holly is now a member of the camp. We love being able to watch our babies have fun in a safe place. Petsmart and our vet offer boarding but they are kennel kept with very little time out. This is the way to go. We don't always need to board our babies but it's nice to know we have a great place to take them. We will continue just for the social aspect. I'm not a fan of dog parks to many irresponsible owners. Both pups came home today so worn out it was naps all around. They had a great day and I got to mop my floors while they were gone. read more

At first, I was hesitant to board my dog here because I am used to boarding at places with a vet on staff and at least one person on location 24 hours a day. My dog was boarded for 8 nights, and there were zero issues during his stay. He's a shy dog, so I always worry, but I loved being able to monitor him on my phone during the day. My boyfriend and I recently adopted another dog, and she has gone for a day of play group, had a great time and even made a new friend. We were worried about how she would react considering that she just came from a rescue, but once she got past initial nerves, she settled in just fine. I am pleased with their experiences so far, and already plan to schedule day camp and boarding within the next month. read more

I took my 1 year old pit bull named Snoop to Camp Bow Wow. The evaluation was fine. We left him for a weekend while being out of town and he came back with a few unexplained scratches. We tried Camp Bow Wow a third time for four days and while I was gone I received two different phone calls stating that Snoop will come home with "some scratches" and he was bleeding after a altercation with another dog. When I asked what exactly happened the worker stated she didn't know even though they have cameras. I asked would anyone be looking at the cameras and she stated no. The worker could not give me any straight forward answers when I was asking questions. When we picked up our dog he had three different spots which he was bleeding/healing from. As the days went on we realized he had even more scratches than reported! Behind both ears, on his neck, and alllllllllll down his back. Snoop is STILL healing weeks later. Since Snoop is a short haired, tan colored dog he may never heal and grow back the hair lost and it's noticeable. Snoop had such a beautiful coat prior to us leaving our dog with this company. I will NEVER leave my dog with this company ever again. read more

So far, I am quite pleased. I knew my one dog would do great. He's super easy going and has been to daycare for years. My other dog, though, is a rescue and wary of strangers and new dogs. I thought for sure he'd be sent home in minutes. But they were patient with him and he passed their interview process. While we were waiting for the interview to start, a couple of big dogs came in and he started barking like crazy. I thought we were done for and would have to go home. But no. Some daycares just do an "interview" with one or two other dogs that lasts like 5 minutes. But that doesn't tell them how they'd be when with a whole slew of other dogs or after a longer period of time. And, of course, my little rescue does fine with a whole bunch, but less so with just a couple. And he tok some time to adjust. So I'm a big fan of how they handle the interview process here. And every single staffer was very nice and patient. And they have an app too so you can check up on your fur babies from anywhere at any time via their multiple cameras. So we'll be doing some more daycare days here and a weekend boarding. read more

I would give Camp Bow Wow of Henderson, 5 more stars if I could. My husband and I are moving to Henderson NV. He is already there, with the 'brothers from different mothers'. Camp Bow Wow has been a God send. My husband is still staying in a hotel and it wasn't fair to the boys to have to stay cooped up all day. They have been to day camp for almost a week now. I watch them on cam when I can. They seem very happy. The young people interacting with all of the tail wagers, are great. Always respectful. Keeping the area clean. I have never been more pleased. I highly recommend Camp Bow Wow and the day camp. If we ever have to go out of town, you can bet the kids will be at camp. I literally cant believe that there are any negative reviews for Camp Bow Wow on here. I have a 1.5 year old Border Collie named Jasper with more energy than any dog I have ever met...we go to the dog park every day for 1-2 hours a night. Some days I am just TOO exhausted so off to camp he goes! He is always ready for bed by the time I pick him up. I try to take him at least once a week and I have never ever had a negative experience here. I have boarded him here for weekends before too and he never wants to leave! It's not just that he is tired, he is also HAPPY. Genuinely happy. Dogs need the mental stimulation of something new to mix up his week, and all the interaction with the dogs helps him get all that energy out. The staff is great. I check in all day on the webcam, and I know he can be very clingy to the counselors because hes a working breed, but they only ever treat him with love and affection. (Even when hes REALLY annoying) The staff cleans up any messes IMMEDIATELY, just watch on the webcam and you will see, this location is always spotless. I read some negative reviews about vaccinations. Quite frankly I don't understand the issue - why wouldn't you want your dog playing with dogs that are fully vaccinated? They have a high standard for health, and any time my dogs have been due for a vaccines they have let me know ahead of time. I don't want my dog getting any other dog sick and vise versa! I just adopted a second BC and she needs a little behavioral work but once shes ready I can't wait to get her playing at camp right along with everyone else! Thank you Camp Bow Wow for being such a relief in my crazy hectic life for my crazy hectic psycho dogs! :) ALSO! Read some reviews about them not having toys in the yards? Common sense people! Dogs FIGHT over toys! They have each other to interact with. I would much prefer there being no dog fights over toys and my dogs being injured. Very friendly staff. Every time I walk in, they greet with a smile. Now that I have been going awhile, they recognize my dog. If I had any questions or concerns, they always addressed them. I have taken my dog to a few places since getting him for daycare and this has been the best so far. He comes home so exhausted! A thing I noticed while taking my dog here, is that he is eager to go.
