This was the first time I have been back to this location since 850 Pizza closed its doors. I usually sit at the bar when dining. Same ambience, but now the emphasis on bourbons and whiskeys has gone, and the back bar now displays fewer bottles. The two bartenders were polite, but I would say slightly inexperienced. Very personable. The food was outstanding. I started with the Prosciutto e Bufala. The prosciutto was thinly sliced and delicious, and the bufala mozzarella cheese was delicious. Bufala mozzarella has a high moisture content not found in regular mozzarella, and when paired with the prosciutto, it was sumptuous. That was followed by Bruschetta al Gamberetti. I really enjoy bruschetta, and usually sample it whenever I see it on the menu. This was also quite good. Included with this bruschetta (along with diced tomatoes and mozzarella) was shrimp... a nice addition. The main pasta dish ordered was Boscaiola. Pasta in a white cream sauce with Italian sausage. Very tasty, and what I appreciated about the dish was that the sauce was used sparingly. Enough to lightly coat the ingredients, but not drown the dish in the sauce. Similar to the previous restaurant (850 Pizza) but different. I will likely go back for a second time and try something else. read more

We eat at Milton location quite often. Food is usually good. But service is slow. They almost never have bourbons listed on the bourbon menu. We returned this past Saturday. We had Richard as our server. He could not have been any more fantastic. We both ordered pasta entrees and they were very good. (Please expand your entree options) Had to order 3 bourbons and be told they were out before finally picking one they had in house. read more

The pizza is as good as their other location. We really like it. We got there on a Saturday night, perhaps at a peak time. After sitting inside for a few minutes, we had to ask for an outside table due to the inside noise level. It was not possible to have any conversations with there other person at your table. Has been one of my favorites for a long time. Unfortunately just got some takeout recently and the portions were cut in half! Probably a sign of the Times but was extremely disappointing. Like many places it's way overpriced because of the reduction in the portions. read more

Sooo glad this place replaced 850. The service is tremendously better, the pizza is awesome and it is just a much better atmosphere. Well, I hate to write this as there aren't many decent pizza places around, and we do like their pizza, but here we go. As, I was saying the pizza is pretty good. I appreciate the wood-fired oven and they do a decent job. However, this afternoon, on our way home, we decided we would grab some pizza. We ordered the Tartufo, and since my wife is allergic to preservatives (long story), we asked if we could have prosciutto instead of pancetta. We weren't just adding an extra topping. I was told when called, that would be fine. When my wife went to pay, she noticed the pizza was $27 instead of $19, and asked why. It was explained that they can only only add ingredients, for an extra cost, or leave an ingredient off. Since we "added an ingredient" there was an extra charge. Well, I wasn't told this on the phone. It's not even a matter of $7, which isn't a big deal, it's a matter of us being given the information, so we could make the decision. The hostess was less than accommodating, and my wife should have asked for a manger (notwithstanding any "Karen" comments). She did give the hostess the opportunity to make it right, but that did not happen. I do believe that customer service is taught from ownership/management, so maybe it shouldn't really be on the hostess. It's a shame, since, as I said, the pizza is pretty good. read more

I hosted a luncheon last week. The 2 managers, Cliff and Rhett could not have been more helpful or accommodating. I requested to use the outdoor deck and have separate tables for each family. The team at Campania had it all set up and ready to go when we arrived. The service was top notch from the time we arrived until we walked out the door. They were able to take everyone's order and get the food out very quickly. On top of this 5 star service, the food is excellent. If you want great service and top notch pizza, go check them out. The pizza was always good once Campania opened in Alpharetta. But the pizza is now brought to the table with droopy soggy crust. Knife and fork only. That's not thin crust pizza. I think it may have to do with them switching from metal grids to the ceramic plate they serve the pizza. It's better when I take it home and put it on the griddle, but they are not so keen on doing that for you in the kitchen.....kinda stubborn. read more

First I'll say that I'm new to the area and have been dying for some good pizza. I heard this place was good so figured I'd try. I first noticed how everyone was happy and so friendly, the customers included. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable since I don't know Italian cuisine very well. The menu is very authentic. The bartender went over the menu with me and after finding out some of my likes and dislikes, gave me the recommendation of a lifetime! This place has the best pizza I've had in years, and couldn't have been happier with my experience. Special thanks to the bartenders for the service and recommendation. This is my new spot. First time dining here. My glass was dirty. Meat and cheese plate was not good at all and the most expensive thing on the menu. All it consisted of was 3 average, kind of tasteless meats, mozzarella (no flavor because it's mozzarella), Parmesan chunks and another similar cheese. It was by far the least exciting meat and cheese board I've ever had or seen. It was huge, but no good flavors. Just weird. The staff was nice. Will try a pizza next time. read more

I have never received worse service!! We waited 15 minutes before anyone came over to the table. The waiter said he would get me a taste of some wines and my boyfriend ordered a beer. We have been regulars at the original location in Alpharetta a twenty five minute drive from our house. We pass many other pizza joints on the drive over, however, it has always been worth it. It was my second time at the newer location in Milton and I was really disappointed. It was my husband and my first restaurant outing during the COVID pandemic and we were really looking forward to our date night. The restaurant was extremely noisy the service was mediocre at best. My husband ordered a second beer once the pizza arrived and it took so long to receive it we had finished the pizza and needed to get home to our sitter. We politely declined the beer due to the prolonged wait and the server took it back and said he would take it off the bill. We over heard the female bartender in a conflict with the our waiter and she was demanding to know what was wrong with it. It made us feel extremely uncomfortable. My recommendation if you want good pizza go to their other location we have never been dissatisfied. read more

I have tried the pizza, pasta and pollo panini and all have been delicious. Our first visit, Kirsten was our server. She is typically bar tending. Been OK up until last night. Service was lackluster at best and food was just blah. Sat down at bar and ordered glass of wine and a beer. Bartender poured wine and walked around with glass for at least two minutes talking to this person and that person before he finally brought it over. Next, the server walked up and down the bar with our appetizer, despite our efforts to get her attention, tried her best to give it to everyone else at the bar (it was not that crowded). Finally, server brought entrees....they should have kept them. Before trying the food, I had to get up on my own and search out silverware..no one seemed to care that we had none. I guess they wanted us to eat it like dogs right off the plate! Both entrees had pasta sides, and the pasta tasted like it was boiled in dish water. No flavor, not done and the sauce was gross....we actually had to pull the plug on the meal and stop eating it. Most experiences at Campania have been good, but this one last night was nothing better than poor. They have a sign on the door about starting your career with Campania, so they are clearly understaffed. It would not take much for another pizza/italian restaurant in Milton to grab significant market share given the sloppiness of Campania right now. So if you were working the bar last night (04/08) and you are wondering only a marginal tip was left, re-read this again. read more
