While their pizza has good flavor, the dough/crust cannot support the toppings. It simply falls apart as you try to eat it. I usually have to fold the center over onto the crust so it doesn't completely fall apart. If they can resolve this issue, the pizza would be fantastic! There are three large booths, barstool seating along the front window, and an outdoor seating area. Don't expect to have restaurant style dining here. This is a "mom and pop", start up pizza shop. I'd passed by here several times and finally decided to try it because they had a really good valentine's day special but I was not impressed. It took a very long time to get my pizza even though there were only 2 other people there. When I did finally get my pizza it was greasy and falling apart and missing several of the ingredients that it was supposed to have. This is a cute place by my kids school that we stopped into today before an appointment. Wood fired pizza smelled good and my kiddo loves anything frozen. The menu is located above the register and we were greeted by a lovely woman. One pepperoni pizza, garlic knots, two plastic kids cups, and a Caesar was $32. $37 after tip. Gelato cost me $9 but only because my kiddo ordered, and didn't understand each flavor is a new $4 scoop cost. An additional scoop of the same flavor is $1 more. I saw the pints were $9.50. While waiting, we observed the lobby. It was clean, windows wiped, and tabled bussed immediately. The people working were quiet and polite. The soda machine was not working and we were not offered a refund for the drinks. The man was apologetic but it's 2.50 a drink. Self-serve style, with brewed tea, plastic knives, and paper plates. Trash is thrown away by the patron. The garlic knots are standard pizza dough knots. The red sauce was served cold. It had a prominent garlic flavor and seeds from the fresh tomatoes through out. The garlic may be minced garlic, as all the pieces were that weird minced texture. I did not find chooped garlic pieces. The sauce was watery and even the bread didn't soak up all the leftover juice. Our garlic knots were covered in a thick, imitation butter oil that was leaking through the basket and liner. The pizza is wood fired and nicely crusted on the outside. Sadly, the amount of sauce and toppings was too much for the thin crust and created a soft, almost undone middle. It needed to cook longer, although the edges were starting to burn. The sauce, once warmed on the pizza, was much better. Our Caesar was big chunks of romaine from a bag. It was prepackaged in a plastic to-go box and served with a side of Caesar, packaged croutons, and fresh Parmesan. My kid and I split it, adding ranch to her order lettuce instead of the Caesar. While I won't complain too much about the gelato, the price was fair if that's what you're into. It was fresh, had a good flavor, and was a good value for the size of the scoop. Next time I will ask if the waffle cone piece they include was fresh. Ours were both stale as a rock and hurt with the first bite. Not at all expected. Overall, it's two stars for me. The value does not seem to be in the prices with the soggy pizza, $9 Caesar from a bag, or the oil on the knots and watery cold sauce. read more

This was our second time patronizing Campfire. First time was a togo order and this time we ate in. The place has a nice, simple buildout. There's only 3 tables, so don't go expecting to be able to dine in. We lucked out and nobody else was there. We were a party of 4 (3 adults and a 5 year old). We ordered two pizzas, two sodas and two waters. We had the pepperoni extravaganza and the Margherita pizzas. The total was around $35. Not cheap, not expensive. $5 was the sodas and $1 was the fact we asked for some ranch on the side. Took exactly 10 minutes from payment to ready to eat pizza at our table. Felt that was really fast, but, there were no other customers. The pizzas were okay in size. Fine for one really hungry person or two not very hungry people. The flavor was really good. The dough was tossed by hand, thin but not paper thin. This style of pizza is not for everyone, but we really liked it. We finished it off with a kiddy, a medium and a large gelato. That was $14. Everyone loved the gelato. So flavorful. I have chocolate, coconut and berry. Made for an excellent mix of flavors and the texture was perfect. Would definitely eat here again. Only things that could be improved were: 1.) For zero business when we were there, the tables were not as clean as they should be. We had to wipe our table with a napkin and there was misc. dry crap all over the dried pepper shaker. Also random pizza ingredients on the window sill. 2.) owners were not openly friendly. Never welcomed us, never asked how the food was. Just in general seemed put out that we were even there. Regardless, definitely give this place a try. read more

No, just no... the service was fine but the pizza was not good. I ordered the meat lovers and im all for thin crust but this was paper thin. I mean the topping could not stay on the pizza because it was that thin. The grease was soaking through the pizza dough! How can a pizza be that thin? I dont know but this place figured out a way. This cute restaurant is located in Edmond. We came on a Sunday at 2pm, there was literally no one there so we had the whole seating to ourselves. There is limited seating but I did notice people ordered ahead of time and picked up their orders. I was highly satisfied with the taste of the pizzas. Each pizza comes in 8 slices, it's flavorful and soft. They only have 1 oven so I can imagine the wait time when it's super busy. But I know they put a lot of thought and time into making your pizza taste delicious. I used to love Campfire pizza but since management has changed, it just isn't the same. The first time I went since management has changed, I ordered a pizza online and it said it would be ready in 20 minutes. When I got there after 20 minutes there was one worker and they let us know it would be another 45 minutes. I got my order refunded which was fine, people call out of work and you could tell the worker was overwhelmed. Today I ordered it, online it said 15 minutes, I called to double check and they said 15-20 minutes. Got there at 20 minutes and they said it would be another 15-20 minutes. So we got our pizza a little late, no big deal. The pizza itself just isn't the same. The sauce tastes like a Domino's or Pizza Hut sauce. Nothing special about this pizza. read more

I think this pizza place has so much more potential. Upon looking at the pictures online, I had very high expectations for this place. Unfortunately my guess is that those wonderful pictures are from the previous owner. For one, their pizza sauce tasted like it came from a can. It just didn't taste good, very plain. Pizza sauce is so easy to make and this pizza would taste so much better with homemade pizza sauce. The pizza crust is good, very tasty. They don't hand stretch it, it's done by a machine. I didn't like that too much. I wouldn't consider this pizza napoletana, more like a thin crust pizza. The part I didn't understand is how the vegetables I added to my pizza weren't cooked. I ordered mushrooms and artichokes and they were not cooked, which is super strange since they are going in a super hot oven, usually over 800 degrees. Wasn't sure how that happened unless they aren't properly using the oven and it's not as hot as it should be. What was also super weird, the menu states that they make fresh mozzarella. This is not the case, I asked one of the workers and they flat out told me no, that they were under new management and they were no longer doing that. He said the menus were outdated. We saw a friend post about this new pizza joint online, and had to stop by -- we're suckers for wood fire pizza! The restaurant is small, but cute. I was glad we made our decision before we arrived because the menu and cashier are within feet of walking in the door. The menu was full, but wish they had more options without Red Sauce or Meat. We got the Margarita Pizza - and the crust was amazing -- we topped it with the hot sauce on the table.... And it was incredible. So good that we bought a bottle for the house. We are so glad this place opened up near us. The pizzas are great. We usually get a Margherita pizza for me and my wife, and our kids split a cheese pizza. We've also gotten the Blue Smoke with prosciutto and Gorgonzola cheese. Their red sauce is really good quality and flavor. They just started serving beer, which was a missing piece when they opened. The gelato is awesome, (and surprisingly made in-house). Some different flavors every time we come. Seating is limited, so it fills up fast on weekends. Hmm, where to start... Well, I must say that this place looks great inside. Very modern and up-to-date with today's styles. It's a very clean and pleasant environment- quite inviting, honestly. The staff seemed nice enough, not extremely chatty or anything, but professional enough when taking our order. The restrooms were clean; albeit a bit odd. The paper towel dispenser is across the room from the sink. So you have to take your dripping hands across the bathroom to acquire the towels. Not really a huge deal if you shake your hands off thoroughly at the sink; although, it could be a hazard if the floor gets wet. Anyway, on to what we're all really here for- THE FOOD! The pizza... well, it's Neapolitan style pizza. So, we're talking about a very niche style of pizza. You have to know that going in; otherwise, you'll likely be disappointed. They have "Red Pizzas" and "White Pizzas." Red Pizzas have a tomato sauce base, while White Pizzas have cheese and no real sauce to speak of. I ordered the Blue Smoke pizza (from the White Pizza list). It comes with olive oil, house made mozzarella, gorgonzola, smoked prosciutto and Mike's Hot Honey. My first impression of this pizza was that the prosciutto was way too big for you to enjoy a slice, without making a mess. Well, I was right. They really need to cut the prosciutto into smaller pieces; but, maybe that's just MY preference, right? Okay then. So on to flavor- you could definitely tell that Mike's Hot Honey was in the game, but that is about it. There was no real memorable flavor to speak of and the crust was quite dry. I thought that, with the olive oil, there would be more moisture in the pizza; but, that wasn't the case. Also, the edges of the prosciutto are so tough that you couldn't chew them. I actually had to spit those edges out. And there was no cute way to eat this pizza lol. The prosciutto was just HUGE and, when you take a bite, the whole piece of meat on each slice just tags along with your bite. So, essentially, you get one bite with the meat and the remaining bites of each slice are just cheese on dry bread. It was a pretty disappointing. Would I go again? I really have a passion for supporting local/small business. So, I'd try it again; but, maybe I'll stick to the Red Pizza side of the menu next time. They also have some really delicious looking gelato, which I didn't have a chance to snag before we left. So, if nothing else, I may be back for that. All in all, it wasn't my favorite experience, but it wasn't a complete deterrent either. They definitely have potential, as there's nothing else like this in Edmond. And, who knows, maybe I'm just not a Neopolitan pizza kind of girl. But, we shall see. ;) read more

For starters, if a zero were possible, I would have given that. The ONLY positive was that the worker who took the order was moderately friendly, and he was kind to my child. That's literally the only good thing I have to say. 1. It is hotter than the hubs of hell in that place! I understand there's a pizza oven, but I've been in plenty of places with pizza ovens and it isn't absolutely unbearable. Maybe the ventilation needs looked at, idk but sweating while trying to eat didn't make the experience any better. 2. The garlic knots were just bad. I'm talking rock hard and I don't even know how because I watched them pull them out fresh from the oven. The dough was very dense and absolutely tasteless. Even my garbage disposal of a daughter said they were gross. 3. The pizza. Every review on here that is negative is absolutely right, the pizza crust was so thin in the areas that actually had toppings (because only about half the pizza actually had toppings on it, the rest was just greasy crust) that it was nonexistent. The pizza was so bland and having to drown my $15 10 inch pizza in peppers and Parmesan to get any taste whatsoever isn't acceptable in my opinion. 4. The drinks. Too much syrup, not enough carbonation. 5. The gelato. No flavor. Seriously they all tasted the same (we had 4 flavors), the only one that MAYBE had a little flavor was the chocolate vanilla cherry one, and that's only because it had pieces of maraschino cherries in it. Smooth consistency but not worth the calories or sugars. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant at all. You can get better pizza for the same or better prices elsewhere. Disappointed because I love small businesses and was hoping this would be a new favorite! read more
