I am very impressed with Campi. Came in during HH and got the last seat at the nice, but smallish bar. The service is impressive, the bar is upscale but casual, drawing a nice crowd... some locals but mostly hotel guests on the night I was there. The bartenders, Silvio and Billy, couldn't have been more attentive. I enjoyed a nice glass of Guado al Tasso Vermentino, and an excellent red, Antico Monastero Barolo... and appreciate the proper glassware. I ordered the Rigatoni all Vodka from the HH menu... perfectly cooked al dante and really fantastic. All their pasta is made in-house daily. The dining room is very impressive, great ambiance. Extremely disappointing experience on March 7 around 6:00 PM. Before this event we have called to ask about reserving a high-top table and were told that high-tops could not be reserved. When we arrived, several high-tops were open. We approached our favorite server to see if he could help us , but he was told not to serve us. Shortly after, a host informed us that the high-tops were "reservation only," which directly contradicted what we had been told on the phone. At that point there were also four open seats at the bar. I politely asked the "host" twice if he could help us take those seats, but he refused. During that time, other customers were allowed to take them. Eventually we were seated at a regular table. I then asked our server who the manager was so I could simply clarify the policy. She pointed out the same individual who had moved us from the high-top area. When I asked for his name (max), he came over moments later and told our group to leave the restaurant, referring to it as "his restaurant." There was no alcohol involved and no confrontation--just a simple request for clarification and the manager's name. Being asked to leave under those circumstances was both surprising and embarrassing. Unfortunately, the experience was further undermined when we noticed food residue on the wine glasses at our table, which raised additional concerns about basic service standards. We have been loyal customers and expected far better. A calm explanation of the seating policy could have resolved the situation easily. Instead, four customers were publicly removed from the restaurant for simply asking a question. I believe this situation could have been avoided with better training and an experience manager that matches this restaurants reputation price range. Very disappointing and an unfortunate reflection of the current management approach. I hope that Curt Huegel can do better! read more

Campi is an elegant restaurant with a vibrant upscale vibe. It is deserved of getting a little dressed up for your night out. The wait service is impeccable and well trained. Our server Craig went above and beyond. Their choice of tableware is fine dining worthy. Their menu is approachable and straightforward. They offer 1 special, which is the fish of the day. Everything else is on the menu. Our meal was sensational, beginning with an expertly made vodka martini. I could tell the olives in the cocktail were noticeably better in quality than what is often served. We started with a few orders of baked clams. They were small and whole. The sauce was plentiful, enough to sop up the garlic and lemon with their exceptional bread. Speaking of bread, I am usually a butter girl, however there was no need for beurre when they serve a top notch olive oil like they do. It was peppery and robust. I could tell that there were efforts made to pair the bread and olive oil just right. Details matter here. I could have made a meal of just this, but alas, we ordered a lasagna for the table to share with a salad. The chopped salad was ok but ordinary. We probably did not need it. The lasagna. The lasagna. The lasagna. Let's talk lasagna. It is made with a homemade sheet of pasta, a tad thicker than a dried variety. It is rolled with dots of beef that was big on flavor but did not overwhelm the pillows of soft ricotta and mozzarella cheese atop a slightly sweet, but super-bright and fresh tomato sauce. A few fried basil leaves (again, a detail) actually made a difference in elevating this dish. The basil leaves were not just a garnish. Every ingredient was thought out, restrained in a good way, harmonious and well balanced. We then had a chicken parmesan (we chose their vodka sauce which was subtle without the aggressive and excessive use of cream so often found in vodka sauce), a cacio e pepe spaghetti and lamb chops. The spaghetti was the star of the pasta dish. There are times where a sauce can overwhelm, but at Campi the Chef honored the pasta. Thank you. Our lamb chops were perfectly cooked medium-rare with just the right amount of char in its own jus, a dab of garlic and parsley. A double espresso was a smidge watery. Tiramisu was again, expertly made with hints of soaked lady finger enveloped with slightly sweetened mascarpone cheese whipped to perfection. Light as a feather; full on flavor. Overall, this is a 5-star restaurant. It is low-key but elevated. The owners care and it shows. read more

Off the Avenue restaurant located on first floor of the Ray Hotel. Really well decorated, comfortable chairs and cute Chandelier. They have an open kitchen going to the bathroom, makes everything look yummy. However, food wasn't the main character fo me. Starting from the Yellowtail Crudo, it was good but it is lacking a sauce or something to make it WOW in your mouth. 6/10 Special Crab Pasta (pardon i don't recall the name of the specifics) was flavorful, it had to be for the price and size. The sauce did have a smokey pepper flavor, perfect with the crab. 8/10 NY Strip was cooked to perfection, bravo. However, could have been added a little bit of more salt, asked some for the table. Demiglace was good to dip it in. 8/10 Shrimp dinner was garlicky, love it. Perfectly combined with the mash. Something i don't understand and have seen it in several restaurants, why don't you remove the skin from the very end of the tail? There's still meat in it, after cooked it's a little difficult to take it off. 7/10 Dessert was perfect balance of sweet. But could've gone with the Tiramisu espresso Martini. Unfortunately i don't recall the servers name, but he was really professional and always came by at the perfect moment. Bussers were on point on refilling waters and taking care of. Been going to Campanola in NYC since 1998 over a dozen times or more. Love that place. Excited to try Campi since we moved to Florida three years ago. Our server (Marco) was great. 9.5/10. Food was OK. The NY Steak was 6.5 / 10. Chewy / tough lacking Char. Balsamic sauce was good. Seems they didn't dry brine the Steak or it wasn't aged. You'd get a better Steak at Keens, Ruth Chris's, The Palm, The Golden Steer, or Wolfgang's Steakhouse. Wife ordered Carbonara which was delicious. Tiramisu was very good. For $310.00 we tried it, but second thoughts about coming back. Atmosphere was nice. The Caparese Burrata needed some fresh ground Pepper and a pinch of Sea Salt. Heirloom Tomatoes weren't Ripe, a little tasteless. Campi needs to kick it up a notch....!!!!! Then we'll happily come back for another try...!!!!! read more

The service is okay nothing special I had to ask for stuff like getting water refills a small fork for my baked clams which arrived after I was finished eating them. Food was somewhat disappointing. The menu says " Calabrian" shrimp scampi...I asked the waiter how many pieces come in the order he said 3. I received 4 pieces but they weren't "Calabrian"...just plain jumbo ones for $51. The chopped salad was nothing special 85% iceberg lettuce in a vinaigrette dressing from a bottle and it wasn't chopped. Baked clams were okay not in the same league as Mateos. Sautéed spinach was overcooked and didn't have much garlic in it. Nowhere to park there. It's connected to the Ray Hotel where parking is $39. They give you a ticket for parking the restaurant stamps it for a $10 discount so in order eat there you're paying $29 for parking...for just average food. In no hurry to return. Antonello left the place he went back to NYC and Christoforo is at another restaurant in the area. Like I said before...in no hurry to return. went to dine here for a special occasion. The venue ambiance is very nice. sophisticated modern. wine was ordered, and that was fine, also an old-fashioned, well-made. We had several apps. Carpaccio was excellent. Baked clams dry and average. We just wanted a bit of salad, so we split a large one for 4, and it was enough. Paasta: We ordered spaghetti with clams. The order was adequate but on the small side. It was also a bit dry, and we felt like it was sitting under the light for a while. Others had bronzino, which was just average, nothing special. Although the waiter was professional, the remainder of the staff, bussing the table, etc., was spotty. We had to ask 2-3 times for the table to be cleared and brushed. Once the food is served, the waiter should be over to be sure all is ok or if anything else was needed... that didn't happen. It took a while to get salt/pepper, lemon, and cheese. takes away from the enjoyment. It was an enjoyable evening, but disappointed in that the overall service and food quality did not match the ambiance or the pricey menu. We expected more of a top-notch dining experience. Was given a gift card for this restaurant so had to stop in. It seemed to have a beautiful setting and decor. Outside seating under the twinkling lights or indoor under soft lights in a medium sized space. Open kitchen with long lovely bar as well. Decided on happy hour at the bar as there are certainly enough choices for food to cover dinner for all. Drink specials are quite reasonable served by Sergio with a smile and Italian commentary. We were able to have a drink or two a glass of wine and multiple apps with dessert to go for under $150 with tip. Everything was delicious though I thought the meatballs while filling were not spectacular, the calamari was delicious for sure, Caesar salad was large, and tasty. Baratta salad while beautiful lacked flavor from the tomatoes, nice presentation with thick balsamic glaze. Tiramisu was a nice large piece very light, but it seemed the ladyfingers were not dipped in much of anything. No alcohol flavor at all. while I'm used to a bit of Kahlúa flavor in my tiramisu. The service, atmosphere, and food here are all excellent. Our family has always loved Tramonti's, but this place has its own charm. The food was fresh and delicious, and the restaurant itself is clean, bustling, and full of energy. The bread alone is worth coming back for! We were celebrating our anniversary and had made a reservation months in advance. We requested a booth but were told none were available. Unfortunately, the booths stayed open the entire night, which felt a little disappointing, it would have been nice if the staff had gone the extra mile to accommodate a special occasion. Worth the hype! I've visited twice and both experiences were wonderful. I absolutely love the ambiance in here, and the service is very attentive. Check, check. And the FOOD. We ordered the burrata with prosciutto both visits -- so good. The pastas, the Branzino, the brick chicken -- all very delicious. And salted caramel budino is my weakness.... We stopped by Campi for a quick dinner because it was right next to our hotel and we were pleasantly surprised. From the minute we walked in, we were greeted by multiple people who were super friendly and energetic. They made sure we had drinks while we were waiting for the rest of our party and continued to have that same energy the entire dinner. The restaurant is somehow bright while still being dimly lit and creating a comfy and elegant ambience. It was a great space for couples, families (maybe not young children), and larger groups as there was plenty of seating and spaces at the bar. We had the meatballs, lasagna, and chicken. They were all delicious and came highly recommended by our server. One of the highlights was the salted carmel budino for dessert, we could not get enough. Dined here on Easter Sunday. We have been here before and were really looking forward to returning, but unfortunately this visit was very disappointing. We were seated promptly by the host, but it took about 15 minutes before anyone came to our table, which was surprising given that the restaurant was nearly empty. They offered a prix fixe menu that was quite expensive, but the food itself was mediocre and did not live up to expectations. The dishes lacked flavor and creativity, and nothing really stood out as memorable--especially disappointing given the holiday and the price point. Overall, the experience felt disorganized and underwhelming compared to our previous visits. For a restaurant we had enjoyed in the past, this was a letdown, and I'm not sure we would return based on this experience. Tried this for the first time in a long while. This will be the last time. Ordered the baked clams and they were very chewy and not good. The chopped salad had no flavor in the dressing. The this consisted more of a salad with just lettuce and very little artichokes, cheese and any other ingredients. We opted for the special "Linguini bolognas and it was a huge disappointment. They brought out the dish with a cover so you would assume it was hot however it was barely warm. The portion size was small for a pasta dish and again lacking in flavor. I was sad when Ember Grill closed but I'm so happy that Campi took its spot. We had a phenomenal dinner here; everything was spot on from service, to drinks, food and ambiance. All 4 of us got different cocktails and every one of them was delicious. For the table we got the octopus, and the burrata caprese. The burrata was some of the best I've had. Entrees at our table consisted of the rigatoni alla vodka, short rib agnolotti, pistacchio crusted salmon, and the whole branzino. Everyone was raving about their dishes. Both of the pastas were insanely good, and I love that they are made in house. And of course, no meal is truly good without good service. We had a wonderful waiter, and other staff was always around to refill waters and clear plates. We will absolutely be coming back. read more

This place is solid, it's nothing to rush back for, but I would DEF come back. It is simply just solid food, nothing I haven't had before. The ONE HUGE issue is the 3.5% credit card fee and the suggested tip on tax and the credit card fee. Had a celebratory dinner the other night for my sister's birthday, and I really could not have been happier with our decision to try Campi. For those familiar with Delray Beach, specifically the downtown area, you know there are A LOT of options for Italian food. A LOT! For me, Campi is hands down the best of the bunch for a stroll down 'old-school' Italian NYC style (it is inspired by NYC icon, Campagnola which opened in 1982). Portions are not ginormous, but large enough to feel we got our money's worth. The menu is not overwhelming, but there is more than enough whereas there is something for everyone. The venue itself is beautifully appointed, and while I've heard it can get quite noisy, we had a corner table and it was easy to converse. Our Server, Sebastien, was top-notch and a big help in navigating the menu. For dinner, we shared: - Chopped Campi salad - Ceasar salad - Yellowtail Crudo - Short Rib Agnolotti - Lasagne Rotolo - Cacio & Pepe - Celebratory 3 scoops of gelato - Cappuccino, Americano, and a couple of glasses of wine The salads were delicious and generous portions. The highlights were the Short Rib Agnolotti and Lasagne Rotolo. The Lasagne is served in 3 large pinwheels and absolutely PERFECT for parties of 3! Campi deserves 5 stars. Our apps and dinners were excellent. Very high-end experience in the Ray Hotel, in the heart of Pineapple Grove. We were both in the mood for a classic red sauce. The spaghetti pomodoro did not disappoint; the pasta was a bit al dente and the red sauce was tangy and sweet. The Lasagna rotolo was a classic bolognese and ricotta style lasagna. Next time, I'd like to try the short rib agnolotti (there will definitely be a next time). For starters, we had the fennel & arugula salad, which they split for us, and the burrata caprese. Regarding the ambiance and service, I thought it was great and our server was very attentive. It was definitely a more sophisticated, older crowd and not a party scene. We started with complimentary bread and antipasti. The bread is just ok - nothing to write home about. It wasn't typical Italian restaurant bread so that was my only eh about this place. For apps, we got caesar salad and burrata - both so good and light! We also got an order of the Rotolo because it has been the one dish that I saw on social media and was a must-have. For our mains, we actually ended up ordering more of the lasagna rotolo it was that good! We also got chicken parm with a side of rigatoni and parmesan crusted salmon. Dropped into Campi solo for dinner and grabbed a seat at the bar, and I'm glad I did. The linguine and clams were spot on, perfectly cooked pasta, just the right balance of garlic, white wine, and briny goodness. Shoutout to the female bartender who mixed me one of the best Negronis I've had in recent memory, just the right bitter-to-citrus balance and beautifully executed. I ended with the tiramisu, which was decent. not bad, but didn't blow me away. If I could do it again, I'd go for the bomboloni instead. Rookie mistake. Great wine list too, thoughtfully curated and well-priced. Gemme greeted me at the door and gave me great compliments on my outfit, now if that's not a great start! hahah....I sat at the bar to wait or my guest and had a perfect tequila cocktail...Silvio, the bartender, was polite, knowledgeable and consistent, when my guest arrived, he ordered a Mojito and said it was the best he'd ever had. Sergio was our server and was spot on with explaining specials and the menu. Very nice restaurant location on the ground floor of the ray hotel. I really wanted the to exceed my expectation as we need a good Italian restaurant in the area. Immediately, I was impressed with the fact that the host and our waiter both spoke fluent Italian. I really enjoyed the service we received and immediately felt like I was talking to a friend. The complementary bread service and small charcuterie plate was an excellent touch. I had the fresh squid ink pasta, which was delicious and my wife had the grilled Bronzino, which she thought was just OK.
