Campi is an elegant restaurant with a vibrant upscale vibe. It is deserved of getting a little dressed up for your night out. The wait service is impeccable and well trained. Our server Craig went above and beyond. Their choice of tableware is fine dining worthy. Their menu is approachable and straightforward. They offer 1 special, which is the fish of the day. Everything else is on the menu. Our meal was sensational, beginning with an expertly made vodka martini. I could tell the olives in the cocktail were noticeably better in quality than what is often served. We started with a few orders of baked clams. They were small and whole. The sauce was plentiful, enough to sop up the garlic and lemon with their exceptional bread. Speaking of bread, I am usually a butter girl, however there was no need for beurre when they serve a top notch olive oil like they do. It was peppery and robust. I could tell that there were efforts made to pair the bread and olive oil just right. Details matter here. I could have made a meal of just this, but alas, we ordered a lasagna for the table to share with a salad. The chopped salad was ok but ordinary. We probably did not need it. The lasagna. The lasagna. The lasagna. Let's talk lasagna. It is made with a homemade sheet of pasta, a tad thicker than a dried variety. It is rolled with dots of beef that was big on flavor but did not overwhelm the pillows of soft ricotta and mozzarella cheese atop a slightly sweet, but super-bright and fresh tomato sauce. A few fried basil leaves (again, a detail) actually made a difference in elevating this dish. The basil leaves were not just a garnish. Every ingredient was thought out, restrained in a good way, harmonious and well balanced. We then had a chicken parmesan (we chose their vodka sauce which was subtle without the aggressive and excessive use of cream so often found in vodka sauce), a cacio e pepe spaghetti and lamb chops. The spaghetti was the star of the pasta dish. There are times where a sauce can overwhelm, but at Campi the Chef honored the pasta. Thank you. Our lamb chops were perfectly cooked medium-rare with just the right amount of char in its own jus, a dab of garlic and parsley. A double espresso was a smidge watery. Tiramisu was again, expertly made with hints of soaked lady finger enveloped with slightly sweetened mascarpone cheese whipped to perfection. Light as a feather; full on flavor. Overall, this is a 5-star restaurant. It is low-key but elevated. The owners care and it shows. read more

Extremely disappointing experience on March 7 around 6:00 PM. Before this event we have called to ask about reserving a high-top table and were told that high-tops could not be reserved. When we arrived, several high-tops were open. We approached our favorite server to see if he could help us , but he was told not to serve us. Shortly after, a host informed us that the high-tops were "reservation only," which directly contradicted what we had been told on the phone. At that point there were also four open seats at the bar. I politely asked the "host" twice if he could help us take those seats, but he refused. During that time, other customers were allowed to take them. Eventually we were seated at a regular table. I then asked our server who the manager was so I could simply clarify the policy. She pointed out the same individual who had moved us from the high-top area. When I asked for his name (max), he came over moments later and told our group to leave the restaurant, referring to it as "his restaurant." There was no alcohol involved and no confrontation--just a simple request for clarification and the manager's name. Being asked to leave under those circumstances was both surprising and embarrassing. Unfortunately, the experience was further undermined when we noticed food residue on the wine glasses at our table, which raised additional concerns about basic service standards. We have been loyal customers and expected far better. A calm explanation of the seating policy could have resolved the situation easily. Instead, four customers were publicly removed from the restaurant for simply asking a question. I believe this situation could have been avoided with better training and an experience manager that matches this restaurants reputation price range. Very disappointing and an unfortunate reflection of the current management approach. I hope that Curt Huegel can do better! read more

Off the Avenue restaurant located on first floor of the Ray Hotel. Really well decorated, comfortable chairs and cute Chandelier. They have an open kitchen going to the bathroom, makes everything look yummy. However, food wasn't the main character fo me. Starting from the Yellowtail Crudo, it was good but it is lacking a sauce or something to make it WOW in your mouth. 6/10 Special Crab Pasta (pardon i don't recall the name of the specifics) was flavorful, it had to be for the price and size. The sauce did have a smokey pepper flavor, perfect with the crab. 8/10 NY Strip was cooked to perfection, bravo. However, could have been added a little bit of more salt, asked some for the table. Demiglace was good to dip it in. 8/10 Shrimp dinner was garlicky, love it. Perfectly combined with the mash. Something i don't understand and have seen it in several restaurants, why don't you remove the skin from the very end of the tail? There's still meat in it, after cooked it's a little difficult to take it off. 7/10 Dessert was perfect balance of sweet. But could've gone with the Tiramisu espresso Martini. Unfortunately i don't recall the servers name, but he was really professional and always came by at the perfect moment. Bussers were on point on refilling waters and taking care of. Tried this for the first time in a long while. This will be the last time. Ordered the baked clams and they were very chewy and not good. The chopped salad had no flavor in the dressing. The this consisted more of a salad with just lettuce and very little artichokes, cheese and any other ingredients. We opted for the special "Linguini bolognas and it was a huge disappointment. They brought out the dish with a cover so you would assume it was hot however it was barely warm. The portion size was small for a pasta dish and again lacking in flavor. Outside seating under the twinkling lights or indoor under soft lights in a medium sized space. Open kitchen with long lovely bar as well. Decided on happy hour at the bar as there are certainly enough choices for food to cover dinner for all. Drink specials are quite reasonable served by Sergio with a smile and Italian commentary. We were able to have a drink or two a glass of wine and multiple apps with dessert to go for under $150 with tip. Everything was delicious though I thought the meatballs while filling were not spectacular, the calamari was delicious for sure, Caesar salad was large, and tasty. Baratta salad while beautiful lacked flavor from the tomatoes, nice presentation with thick balsamic glaze. Tiramisu was a nice large piece very light, but it seemed the ladyfingers were not dipped in much of anything. No alcohol flavor at all. while I'm used to a bit of Kahlúa flavor in my tiramisu. The service, atmosphere, and food here are all excellent. Our family has always loved Tramonti's, but this place has its own charm. The food was fresh and delicious, and the restaurant itself is clean, bustling, and full of energy. The bread alone is worth coming back for! We were celebrating our anniversary and had made a reservation months in advance. We requested a booth but were told none were available. Unfortunately, the booths stayed open the entire night, which felt a little disappointing, it would have been nice if the staff had gone the extra mile to accommodate a special occasion. Worth the hype! I've visited twice and both experiences were wonderful. I absolutely love the ambiance in here, and the service is very attentive. Check, check. And the FOOD. Dined here on Easter Sunday. We have been here before and were really looking forward to returning, but unfortunately this visit was very disappointing. We were seated promptly by the host, but it took about 15 minutes before anyone came to our table, which was surprising given that the restaurant was nearly empty. They offered a prix fixe menu that was quite expensive, but the food itself was mediocre and did not live up to expectations. The dishes lacked flavor and creativity, and nothing really stood out as memorable--especially disappointing given the holiday and the price point. Overall, the experience felt disorganized and underwhelming compared to our previous visits. For a restaurant we had enjoyed in the past, this was a letdown, and I'm not sure we would return based on this experience. The fact that the restaurant was empty given it was always very crowded speaks volumes. read more

We stopped by Campi for a quick dinner because it was right next to our hotel and we were pleasantly surprised. From the minute we walked in, we were greeted by multiple people who were super friendly and energetic. They made sure we had drinks while we were waiting for the rest of our party and continued to have that same energy the entire dinner. The restaurant is somehow bright while still being dimly lit and creating a comfy and elegant ambience. It was a great space for couples, families (maybe not young children), and larger groups as there was plenty of seating and spaces at the bar. We had the meatballs, lasagna, and chicken. They were all delicious and came highly recommended by our server. One of the highlights was the salted carmel budino for dessert, we could not get enough. Had a celebratory dinner the other night for my sister's birthday, and I really could not have been happier with our decision to try Campi. For those familiar with Delray Beach, specifically the downtown area, you know there are A LOT of options for Italian food. A LOT! For me, Campi is hands down the best of the bunch for a stroll down 'old-school' Italian NYC style (it is inspired by NYC icon, Campagnola which opened in 1982). Portions are not ginormous, but large enough to feel we got our money's worth. The menu is not overwhelming, but there is more than enough whereas there is something for everyone. The venue itself is beautifully appointed, and while I've heard it can get quite noisy, we had a corner table and it was easy to converse. Our Server, Sebastien, was top-notch and a big help in navigating the menu. For dinner, we shared: - Chopped Campi salad - Ceasar salad - Yellowtail Crudo - Short Rib Agnolotti - Lasagne Rotolo - Cacio & Pepe - Celebratory 3 scoops of gelato - Cappuccino, Americano, and a couple of glasses of wine The salads were delicious and generous portions. The highlights were the Short Rib Agnolotti and Lasagne Rotolo. The Lasagne is served in 3 large pinwheels and absolutely PERFECT for parties of 3! The spaghetti pomodoro did not disappoint; the pasta was a bit al dente and the red sauce was tangy and sweet. The Lasagna rotolo was a classic bolognese and ricotta style lasagna. Next time, I'd like to try the short rib agnolotti (there will definitely be a next time). For starters, we had the fennel & arugula salad, which they split for us, and the burrata caprese. We started with complimentary bread and antipasti. The bread is just ok - nothing to write home about. It wasn't typical Italian restaurant bread so that was my only eh about this place. For apps, we got caesar salad and burrata - both so good and light! We also got an order of the Rotolo because it has been the one dish that I saw on social media and was a must-have. The linguine and clams were spot on, perfectly cooked pasta, just the right balance of garlic, white wine, and briny goodness. Shoutout to the female bartender who mixed me one of the best Negronis I've had in recent memory, just the right bitter-to-citrus balance and beautifully executed. I was sad when Ember Grill closed but I'm so happy that Campi took its spot. We had a phenomenal dinner here; everything was spot on from service, to drinks, food and ambiance. All 4 of us got different cocktails and every one of them was delicious. For the table we got the octopus, and the burrata caprese. The burrata was some of the best I've had. Entrees at our table consisted of the rigatoni alla vodka, short rib agnolotti, pistacchio crusted salmon, and the whole branzino. Everyone was raving about their dishes. Both of the pastas were insanely good, and I love that they are made in house. And of course, no meal is truly good without good service. Gemme greeted me at the door and gave me great compliments on my outfit, now if that's not a great start! hahah....I sat at the bar to wait or my guest and had a perfect tequila cocktail...Silvio, the bartender, was polite, knowledgeable and consistent, when my guest arrived, he ordered a Mojito and said it was the best he'd ever had. Sergio was our server and was spot on with explaining specials and the menu. I heard a lot of buzz about CAMPI, and had passed it several times when visiting other restaurants in the area. It always looked full, and the vibe seemed to be upscale. Finally made a reservation for myself, husband and another couple. It was a mid-week dine, at 6:30, and when arriving, we were brought to a nice booth toward the back. The restaurant was about 1/3 full, and while there clearly was a buzz in the air, it was not deafening loud, as many restaurants are these days. And it NEVER became very loud. Tall ceilings and sufficient sound deadening materials created a good buffer for any loud talkers at other tables. The food, each of the three entrees, competed with the other for being THE BEST. I had the GIANT shrimp scampi, with a small amount of spinach and a piece of bread. The SCAMPI were indeed GIANT, juicy, and the sauce delicious. Priced at $59, I would not hesitate to re-order. The spinach was a nice garnish, and made me desire more - that will be a side dish next time. My husband had SWORDFISH LIVORNESE with olives capers zucchini, and it was a huge portion, and very tasty, at $39, well priced. And the SALMON PICATA at $38 was another huge portion, and our friend Linda devoured it. We ordered sides of Tuscan Roasted potatoes, w/ a light dusting of Parmesan, and they were prepared to perfection. And the green beans were light, and very good. And to not forget the bread and oil, I must admit I have not tasted bread as light and sweet as this in a long time. Our server was Mariana, and she was superb. CRISTOFORO is the GM, and he was everywhere. He made certain that Happy Birthday was sung to Linda, in Italian, at the end of the meal, and was gracious to comp one of our desserts, the TIRAMISU. And while you have likely had tiramisu before, you have not had one as light and with such good chocolate as this one. The appetizers are great- I especially love their unique twist on a Beef Carpaccio. All pastas are delicious, we love to get the Lasagna, Short Rib Agnolotti and Vodka Rigatoni. The New York Strip was also nice for a switch up- super decadent and saucy. We never leave without ordering a round of desserts! Definitely some of the best and most unique in the area. Very nice restaurant location on the ground floor of the ray hotel. I really wanted the to exceed my expectation as we need a good Italian restaurant in the area. Immediately, I was impressed with the fact that the host and our waiter both spoke fluent Italian. I really enjoyed the service we received and immediately felt like I was talking to a friend. The complementary bread service and small charcuterie plate was an excellent touch. I had the fresh squid ink pasta, which was delicious and my wife had the grilled Bronzino, which she thought was just OK. Ambiance was great, but I would probably order differently next time. It's tough to give places a second chance because the Ave has so many good options. We started with a Cesar salad and calamari. The Cesar was average, but the calamari was very good. Not a huge portion, but they add half pieces of rock shrimp which was good. We then had the rigatoni vodka which was very good, and one of the better ones I've had in a while. The sauce is on the thicker side, but not as thick as the vodka sauce you get when you order the chicken parm with the vodka sauce, which they give you the option of choosing. I wouldn't get the chicken parm with vodka sauce again if they are going to continue to use what seems to be a different vodka sauce. The vodka sauce with the pasta was a little thinner and spicier, and much more tasty. So I would probably just opt for the chicken parm with the San marzano sauce. Chicken parm was a medium-large size (not as big as a place such as Le Sorrel though). Dessert was excellent - we had the caramel and vanilla mousse dessert in a cup which was incredibly tasty, if you like mousse. I highly recommend that if mouse is your thing. And I would highly recommend the prima Donna cocktail. What would bring us back is probably for a staycation at the hotel and for the apps and this drink and dessert (maybe at the bar or something for a night cap). I really want to like this place but I would need to order differently than the chicken parm with vodka sauce. Campi is the new hot spot in Delray. The interior had a rustic Italian atmosphere that was loud but still romantic. They start you off with olives, cheese, salami, and bread. I really enjoyed the cheese bread. My husband ordered the espresso Negroni which was creative and delicious! For dinner, I ordered the chicken Parmesan with the vodka sauce. The chicken was barely warm, almost room temperature and I wasn't not a fan of the smoked mozzarella. However, the lasagna rotolo was very good and stuffed with meat. I have dined at Campi over a half a dozen times since it opened and always loved it. Last Tuesday, August 26th 2025, I took my GF to celebrate her birthday. Surprisingly Chris, the manager, has left the restaurant as of recent. He has always treated me great and he's one of the reasons I return there, especially to celebrate an occasion. We found the restaurant almost empty w/ only 3-4 tables occupied including ours plus 2 guests at the bar. The waiter we had was good and he was well aware that we were celebrating my girl friend's birthday. He made no effort on the restaurants part to honor that occasion. No birthday slice of cake, no candle, no singing, no cheers. Chris always made me and my guests feel special when he was in charge. Unfortunately no one took his lead.
