Campiello is always my first choice when dining in Naples! Not only do they have delicious Italian fair but their seafood is just as amazing! My favorite dish is a tossup between the salmon and the short ribs. Very tough decision! They also manage to prepare the most phenomenal roasted vegetables (cauliflower or brussel sprouts) they are a must try! The restaurant is also extremely beautiful inside and out. The outdoor patio area makes the ideal spot to people watch and schmooze over cocktails! read more

Flew in to Naples for 1 night to host my family at Campiello. Was beyond excited and had an amazing time. The staff was great and of course, the atmosphere. However, the food experience was not at all what I have experienced in the past. We ordred 5 different dishes to share among us. I can say that each and every dish (5) was completely LOADED with salt. There was so much salt, that one of the dishes was almost untouched. It couldn't be eaten. I hope they look at what there approach is to good food, because this certainly was not. read more

First off I have to say, I regret even having to right this review. We have been long time customers of Campiello's since 2007 and Continental since the beginning. We finally were able to dine at Campiello (our fave) for the first time this year on Feb 27, 2023. I can not express how dissatisfied and disappointed our whole table was. Our service and waitress was impeccable as expected. After spending thousands $$$$$ of dollars over the years, we were expected to pay for bread? On a $500 bill? This is absurd and cheapens the whole experience we grown accustomed to loving. Our pasta was a subpar portion with watered down thin sauce. Our appetizer pizza was half the normal size and we just can't get over being expected to pay $4 for bread. Thank goodness our waitress and drinks were what we are accustomed to. Campiello's is a staple for our family. We enjoy bringing visitors and friends to dine with us. I can honestly say I would have been embarrassed in front of friends or clients. Overrated and overpriced, my opinion. After beverages, we started with the bruschetta appetizer. Servicer asked if we would like cheese with it, we said yes. Server did not mention that the added cheese was an up charge. Bruschetta was like none I've ever seen before. One piece of bread smothered by larger chunks of tomatoes topped with two slices of mozzarella cheese. Attempting to cut the crisp crust with the table knives did not work out well, as the knives are fairly dull. Although the bread was crispy on the edges, the rest was soggy. Disappointing. I like a salad with fruit so we ordered the apple salad. Also not what I would have expected. A huge pile of very thin apple slices, and a very small amount of fennel, celery, olives, and nuts. Also disappointing. My spaghetti entree was like everything else, disappointing. I thought the pasta was undercooked. The sauce was good. I added a meat ball to my order, for an up charge, and like everything else it was a disappointment. Just slightly larger than a golf ball, it was somewhat hard, dry and had little or no flavor. Most Italian restaurants provide complimentary bread, butter and or dipping oil. Not here, it's an up charge. Service was inconsistent and wait times between courses was excessive. Given that this restaurant is extremely busy, I'm at a loss to explain my experience. One more thing, the noise level in the room we were in was extremely loud. read more

Let me start off by stating, the ambience at this restaurant is beautiful. Even the street where it's place on is something from a movie. All of the trees are decorated with lights and the buildings have that rustic look. Very romantic. We started with the fried artichoke and the sauce on the side was tasty. My entree was the Garnelli, the pasta was delicious but a bit salty for my taste. Then the people I was with had the oxtail special which resembled pot roast almost, and they complained that it had too many bones. We ended the night with a chocolate cake and this caramel dessert. Overall, it was pretty good, not the best Italian restaurant but the vibes are there. read more

Overall a nice evening. Staff is very friendly and helpful. My friend unfortunately fell earlier walking around Naples and the staff was so helpful treating to her cut and bringing ice. We arrived on a Wednesday at 5:15 pm and the front patio area was jammed. We were sited in the back open terrace. Very nice but a bird did poop on our table. Took some time for staff to clean it up. As the food, I ordered the snapper piccata and must say was disappointed. Seemed like it was deep fried. My friend who fell had the sausage pizza and said it was quite good. No desserts were order but a terrific espresso martini did the job. Again, a nice evening overall. Make a reservation for sure in peak season. read more

I went to Campiello for lunch, and this place was superb! The outdoor seating was charming, and the restaurant's design was very relaxed and classic. The staff was friendly, and my waitress was attentive. They are always busy, so I recommend grabbing a reservation even for lunch. And now for the food. It was tremendous. One of my favorite restaurants in Naples! Have been here a few times now for dinner, and I came here for lunch today with a girlfriend. Our waiter Ryan was one of the most genuinely nice waiters I've ever had at any restaurant!! 5-star service and attitude. The shrimp salad was fresh and so delicious, and I'm not even a big salad person. The pizza here is the best ever, and that's coming from a New Yorker! Great restaurant. Great vibes. Great service. Not a repeat for me. Service was quick, so no complaints there. Came here for Mother's Day, ahi tuna was extremely underwhelming (the special, flies everywhere outside. I can't recommend when there is a million good places on 3rd and fifth and I get average food. Pro tip, do not sit outside at sunset, no coverage from The sun and flies. read more

Best Piccata - EVER! This restaurant came highly regarded and did not disappoint. Exceeded expectations. WOW! WOW! WOW! The snapper piccata was truly one of the VERY best I have ever had. The fish was so fresh and the lemon, butter and caper sauce divine. Exceptionally rounded and well prepared. Beautiful dish, cheers to the chef! You are delightful. And ...... Chased by the cauliflower bisque - perfection! I actually came back a second day and had it with the Cesar salad. Talk about a great dressing! If all this was not enough, you will also get exceptional service, Michele at the bar is great and remembered me from the day before. I felt valued. The last three visits have been awful. The service was awful. It was embarrassing to bring out-of-town guests here at our last visit because the waiter was so bad, we didn't see him after we placed our order for over an hour. We couldn't tell him that my clam pasta was cold and soggy from sitting too long. We couldn't ask him to bring us parm, refill our drinks, or more bread. Luckily, when we were done eating, we had talked a long time since we had a lot of caching up to do. Then, he shows up and asks if we want a dessert menu. It took him 21 minutes to bring us a dessert menu. By this time, it was 9pm (reservation was at 7pm). We just need to go. It wasn't even busy on this weekday night. The prior experience was my birthday and it started pouring rain and flooding outside. There were mosquitos, and I actually sprayed the area myself. We couldn't really enjoy our dinner. We took the rest to-go. Note to self- there isn't really a backup plan when it pours. Sit inside if the weather forecast expects rain or you will have watered-down wine. The current seasons menu with the lemon snapper is good. I wish they would bring back the veal chop from a year ago or the Scottish salmon over the corn hash. read more

We tried this place based off of a recommendation from my sister in laws friend that frequents Campiello. Here is my honest and unbiased review. Ambiance: 5 stars. Beautiful patio that splits the indoor/outdoor bar. Well lit and vibrant. Drinks: 3.5 both my wife and sister enjoyed their Rose I changed it up went with the Italian Old Fashioned. It lacked depth and flavor. Think because it was served with regular drink ice vs. a large cube to prevent it from being watered down. Service: 3 star Main waiter was welcoming but not sure if he was that busy or flustered from the night. We asked twice for bread and never got it until 45 minutes, we had drinks that sat at the end of the table for the entire dinner and almost became a joke because we would see if he would take them. Finally after pushing them towards him he took them away. Food Main: 4 stars The menu has an abundance of options. We got the Calamari which had a different flavor that was spicy and inviting to the tongue. The Bruschetta was not my favorite. Tomatoes were fresh but piled and sliced so large you could barely find the bread. The bread was good however it was very soft and not a baguette style. The salad was flavorful and we split it and glad that we did because even the split was large. The mains from Anit-Pasta, to Pizza, from Fresh Pasta to Steaks. Three of us chose pasta dishes and my BIL had the short rib. Which he said was good but was rich which most short ribs are. I had a bite and liked it. I went for the Caveltelli which had a short rib ragu. It was flavorful and was a lot of food at 28. Raviolette with Sausage had good flavor. We left there stuffed. Averaging out the metrics you get I give Campiello a 4 star. read more

I'm in Naples for Christmas vacation and we had dinner at this restaurant after getting recommendations to go. The layout is very pretty, the outdoor patio had brand new tables, and chairs. The inside was pretty as well with the open ceiling, and we noticed the balcony when we left which looks like a really cool spot to eat. The waitress was very nice and helpful with food choices, although we all chose thr exact same thing because we've never been to any restaurant that let's you choose two different half sizes of pasta for one entree. So we all picked various pasta dishes. I got the special black truffle cream sauce, and braised short rib mezzaluna. Both were delicious, but I love truffle and you can never go wrong there. Unfortunately, this was my first and possibly last visit here, I would have loved to try other food items! read more

A good, not great restaurant. You'll probably want to make a reservation. Inside and outdoor seating is available. All covid protocols except distance are being observed. Service was very good. In fact, over the top. You know, the kind of place where three people bring the food out and all the dishes are set down simultaneously. Looks great but you're going to pay for it. We went with the prix fixe meal which gets you a choice of a first and second course. Went with the Caesar salad and the spaghetti and meatballs. The spaghetti featuring fennel sausage. My bride went for a sort of corkscrew pasta with chicken in a cream sauce. All of it was good, just not great. The meatballs were a little dry and the sauce is something you could make at home. Glasses of wine came in six and nine ounce size and ran about 20 bucks. The wine was good but not 20 bucks good. When the bill arrived there was a 4% hospitality charge added on. Not sure why but then again I didn't ask. I'm hoping some of it went to some of the people making minimum wage. All in all, a decent restaurant but certainly not worth the price. read more

This place is excellent, with a comfortable and bright airy ambiance. The menu is well designed, tightly focus but still appealing to different tastes. I just traveled to Naples and dined at multiple high end restaurants but this is the place I wanted to come back to the most. The pasta is all hand-made in house, which is a plus. The server explained the dishes well. If you come here on Saturday morning(7:30-11:30am), there will be a farmer's market on the same street where Campiello is located, perfectly situated for lunch afterwards. read more

I love the atmosphere of Campiello - we sat outside on the patio, which is huge. The appetizers were great - we had the octopus and arancini. We split two main courses - the pappardelle and the risotto. They were both good, but neither of them were something I'd eat again. I would definitely go back to Campiello to enjoy the patio - I would just try some different entrees next time. read more

Best pasta dish I've ever had in my life - no joke! Usually pasta/Italian isn't my first choice when going out to dinner but holy moly I would eat here every night if I could. I had the linguine with crab and it was seriously to die for. The sauce was perfectly light so that it didn't take away from the flavor of the crab. And now i crave that dish all the time and wish i could eat it over and over again. I cannot wait until whenever I am back to visit Naples area to eat here again! read more

We have come to this restaurant for years and decided to go for our anniversary. While the restaurant is beautiful, the food was poor. Caesar salad was disappointing, calamari was all stuck together by the breading in clumps. Salmon and chicken entrees were not to the standards of this once fine restaurant. read more

This is the second time I have eaten at Campiello Ristorante & Bar. The service is excellent, the outside seating very comfortable and congenial, and the pizza is amazing! I had the Margherita wood fire pizza with tomato, basil, and fresh mozzarella. It was exquisite. I drank a glass of Chianti Superiore, Cultusboni, Tuscany 2020 that was superb. It is an excellent restaurant for whiling away and afternoon or evening. read more

We de used to take a ride to downtown Naples while staying in Marco Island. We went for lunch and were seated in the outdoor patio area. The lunch menu is limited offering about four choices in each of the categories starting with the Appetizers Pasta Pizza and Main Entree. We ordered two glasses of Wine which we felt was a bit Pricey. The Cabernet was $20 and the Rose Wine was $16 then again you are in Naples. We started with a House Salad and a Caesar Salad. It was one of the best Caesar Salads I have ever had It was a very good portion for an appetizer and topped with plenty of shaved Parmesan Cheese and semi soft croutons. So far so good until we get to the main lunch entree. I ordered the Pappardelle Pasta with Braised Veal Ragu which was very underwhelming. The pasta entree was tasteless and it was very clumped together. I was very disappointed with this dish and would not order it again. The other lunch entree was a chicken panini sandwich with bacon and avocado Although it was very tasty the bread was a bit greasy. The service was very good but when we got the bill we noticed they added an extra service charge. Although the charge was minimal I didn't think that it was warranted and I would take away a Star for that unnecessary charge!!! I would definitely give Campiello another try but definitely order something else on the menu. read more

No, we do not charge a cake cutting fee.

The gluten free menu lists several pasta dishes including pappardelle. Is this a mistake or do you have gluten free versions of several pasta types? Usually I see only one type of pasta offered as gluten free (ie penne).

We can substitute gluten free pasta on all of our pasta dishes. The accompanying sauces are gluten free.

Is your patio pet friendly?

Yes! Our patio is pet friendly. Per the local health code, pets must be seated on the ground. Otherwise, you are welcome to bring your well-behaved fur baby.

I have been to this restaurant several times and usually compare their linguini with clam sauce dish with others for its distinctive taste, because it is delicious. I am from NY, and was looking forward to enjoying the meal at Campiello's during my trip to Naples, for I wasn't going to leave without crossing it off on my "to-do" list. I was unpleasantly surprised when the waitress informed me the menu recently changed, but she assured me that the only difference was 1) the separate monthly menus catering to different regions of Italy, and 2) that the usual menu's pasta would be exchanged for homemade pasta. My linguini with clam sauce was from the usual menu. I asked her to confirm that there was no tomato sauce in the clam sauce (as I am allergic) and that the clam sauce was white sauce, and she confirmed that it is a clear sauce, and she also confirmed that all else is the same, and that the only change is the pasta. Ok, so I ordered it, trusting her words. When the dish arrived, I was disgusted. Every mouthful was filled with red pepper and chili pepper. It was disgusting. I called her over and showed her that I used to love to be able to spoon the broth to sip it, but now didn't even want to drink it at the least and she said that the staff recently tested this dish when they changed it and didn't know that they added red pepper and chili pepper to it. I said that they obviously changed more than the pasta to the recipe. It was not the same recipe I was used to that I compared as the best to all the rest and I am broken hearted. I will never return here again. I have a bladder condition and can't sustain spicy foods. I explained that to her and she said that it's up to the customer to tell that to the waitress what allergies the customer has. Well it's not up to me to know that's in the meal if it's not listed on the menu or if she doesn't communicate that to me! I inquired with her if there was tomatoes and she said no. I didn't ask if there was red pepper or chili pepper because why would I when she confirmed that nothing else in the meal changed besides the pasta? It wasn't in the meal all the other times I ate there! I am very disappointed. This restaurant lost many loyal customers tonight just from this meal. read more

This historic Third Street charmer caught my eye during an earlier visit to town. I took note of the low lighting and fresh, Roman bistrot-style decor (dark floors and woods, light walls and upholstery). Came in on a Friday for dinner at 8 with a reservation requesting a window or corner seat, neither of which was available. No problem! Rather than keep us standing, the manager showed us to a decent table and let us table hop after we had a glass of prosecco and perused the menu. We were given our choice of a window seat or a cozy corner on the banquette. We observed the staff working together seamlessly to manage a larger and demanding group with skill & good humor as they helped us relocate. Settled into our new seats, the manager helped us choose a lovely Italian red wine that was new to us but ended up being a perfect pairing with our orders. He was knowledgeable on the wines & pairings and shared that there will be upcoming wine pairing dinners. We were perfectly paced as we dined. Our trick is to enjoy several courses, sharing as we go, and make an evening of it. The staff did not rush us and the kitchen even plated our courses separately. Many places are not so accommodating! Now for the food! A plain fresh Italian white bread and a Rosemary yeast bread were served with a fruity, mellow olive oil for dipping. We started with lightly grilled calamari, tender with char marks. The house insalata mista was next; deceptively simple as it was a wow. Fresh, lightly dressed, and perfectly sized. Our pasta course was Seafood Risotto, and it was perfectly al dente and creamy with generous helpings of shrimp, scallops and calamari. We cleaned our plates with bread the sauce was so good. Our secondi was the best Veal Saltimbocca I have had this side of the Mediterranean. Dessert was a creamy and tender almond cake I must go back for. None of the bitter aftertaste of some almond desserts, and lovely with hot, full- bodied coffee, a snifter of Amaretto, and a complimentary sample of the intensely flavored new Sambucca Black. Food was ok but there was a definite need for a change of attitude by owner and chef. Waiter was fine but we had an issue. Eight diners entered with a reservation and were prepared to spend amounts commensurate with menu prices. However we were offered a special prix fix menu that was very attractive. Immediately upon greeting us our waiter told us that two of the five or six special entrees were sold out. That, understandably, can happen but when I asked if some other entree on the regular menu that is offered at the same price as the regular price of the sold out item could be added to the prix fix menu he said that he intended to ask the chef the same question and would let us know. Ok, not unreasonable. He came back a few minutes later and said that chef was unwilling to do that and it was what it was. That did not seem reasonable to me. Had my wife and I been alone we would have left and eaten elsewhere but we were a group of eight and finding another table for so many people was not an option. We ordered off the regular menu and the food was fine, not anything special but OK. As we were leaving we were approached by a gentleman dressed all in black who asked about our meal. I said the dinner was fine and he then interrupted me and said , "But? I know there is a but coming". Right away I realized that I was dealing with a poor businessman who needed an attitude adjustment. Eventually treating customers like that catches up with any business owner. I told him about our experience in connection with the prix fix menu and that the whole way we were treated left a bad taste and that none of our eight people would ever return. We are longtime Naples residents. Haven't visited Campielo in a couple years and have heard bad reviews from several friends. We were actually going to Tommy Bahamas across the street but the place was packed so we decided to go to campiello's for some early Appetizers. It was last Sunday 3/19 in the afternoon about 3:30 or so. Tommy Bahamas had over an hour wait there for good reason. Food has always been spot on and excellent service. Went to Campiello and nobody was seated outside on the patio as they were not seating anywhere but the bar because they were between lunch and dinner. When the matre'd told me this, i should have just left but we found a couple seats at the bar. From there, it went down hill. It was a full bar and the the bartender, obviously a seasoned bartender, seemed to be too bothered to take care of us and acted like we were a bother. Once we did get her attention, we ordered a couple drinks, which she brought and then continued to chat it up with her friends across the bar. Finally had to flag her down for menus and again 15 minutes later to get her to take our order. No big deal, just ordered a flat bread which came out and was fine. However, not once did she check on us to see how the food was or anything. I guess the negative reviews that i have heard are definitely right on. Take my advice and skip Campiello and go to any of the other restaurants on that street. They are all way better!! Dont be disappointed with average food and poor service. read more

Unacceptable Takeout Experience at Campiello in Naples, FL I am compelled to share my deeply disappointing experience with the takeout service at Campiello in Naples, Florida. Our order, placed promptly at 5:00 pm, was promised to be ready for pick-up within 30-40 minutes. Upon arriving at 5:45, I encountered confusion at the hostess stand as they struggled to locate our order. After an extended wait and reconfirmation, I was informed of an error in transmitting the order to the kitchen. Despite my patience, the subsequent wait extended to an additional 20 minutes, only to be told that the kitchen was just initiating our order. At the 25-minute mark, the assurance was that it was almost ready. After paying and enduring an extra 15-minute wait, our food was finally handed over. However, the added disappointment was that one item (pork shoulder) was still unavailable. Compounding the frustration, upon arriving home, we discovered that our 4 pizzas, 2 pasta dishes, and appetizers were all cold, further diminishing the enjoyment of our meal. This, coupled with the lack of clear, consistent communication between the hostess stand, kitchen, and myself, has left us utterly disappointed and frustrated. Leaving the restaurant at 6:45, nearly two hours after placing the order, falls far below the expected standard. I sincerely hope this feedback prompts an evaluation of your takeout service for improvement. read more

When my family and I go to Naples, we come here. We became good friend with this sweet waiter Michael. We always asked for him when we goes there last 10 years. The foods are always so good. Even tho the drinks have their up and downs last few years you have to find right drinks that you like. I am more of wine person, martini can't always go wrong. The Cosmo sometimes have its good and bad so my mother would just get fresh lime juice with vodka as martini. It's a place to go for people watching ( oh yeah you can see a lot of weird people) The atmosphere are beautiful cozy and so relaxing. I usually sit outside next to the bar inside where i get both inside and outside which is perfect. The meatball always had been my family's favorite. A lot of people loves their calimari and flatbread pizza. Michael is always so sensitive to my food allergies so I know I can always count on him!!! read more

Checked out a few restaurants while visiting Naples this January but Campiello was certainly the stand out -- came by without a reservation and even though they could have been annoying and told us how busy they were, they offered us a table and gave us a loose out time and next thing you know we were seated outside receiving the warmest service and best classic Italian food. Wine list also excellent and straight forward and server was more than happy to let me try something before we took a bottle for the table. All in all, great place. read more

We ordered crab and pasta with tomatoes. Disappointed because there was cream sauce and it was not mentioned in the menu. Menu described the entree as dry with crab meant tomatoes and basil and instead it came out soupy. Overall the pasta was cooked al dente and plenty of crab meat... just hold the cream and I would have given it a 10. House salad was perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of dressing. This is our favorite restaurant in Naples and has been since we moved down here quite a few years ago. The staff are always so friendly and remember you each time you come in. My husband and I like to stop by the bar for a glass of wine and their delicious calamari during the weeknights. It is always the one place we take friends to dinner when they come in to town.
