Very upset with this place. Needed a bigger camper found one we liked and was told given a great price markdowns. After credit forms filled out and spoke with finance, was told we were going to get camper and to pick up on certain date. Went home sold our old camper in 2 days for dirt cheap to get rid of. Then told we qualified for a ridiculous interest. Decided to get financed through bank and camping world would not cooperate with bank to give paperwork needed. Now we're out a camper week before 4th of July week trip. Worst place to trust buying from. read more

BUYER BE AWARE!!!!! From the moment we were introduced to the sales rep we got a bad vibe. Before even getting to know us she wanted to know my SSN to do a credit check. We informed her we wanted to see what she had before we talk numbers. Then she wanted our address. She was very persistent. I told her again if we found something we liked then I'll provide the information. I told her the size truck I had, what we were looking for and what we wanted to avoid. There were two specific brands we didn't want to see. She immediately got defensive asking why we didn't like them insisting they were some of the better products on the market. She was very rude when I told her that the information I had came from personal experience and family/friend recommendations. The whole time she kept saying how she had so many units she wanted to show us but that we refused so why waste her time. Then when we went to get on the golf cart she told me and my wife that one of us had to sit up front because she didn't want to pop a wheelie with two bigger women in the back. She had done that before. She basically called us fat. We ended up finding a unit we liked and wanted to talk numbers. I still didn't give my SSN which upset her. She brought back an offer which I said was way too high. I told her a different camping world had the same unit for 5k less than what they were trying to sell it for. When she brought back the second off they had tacked on freight charge after they lowered the cost to match the other camping world. I told them to remove it but they insisted it was mandatory. Then I told them I had already gotten pre-approved from my bank. The next offer I got they added yet another charge because I wasn't financing through them. In all they tacked on an extra $7000 dollars because I called them out on overpricing and I wanted to use my bank instead of theirs. There were other BS charges like prep fee and legal document fees. We ended up walking away from the table. Two days later I get a call from the same lady saying she was able to get the price we wanted with some fees waived, all she needed was a credit card for the down deposit. I refuse to do anything over the phone so I drove back out there, 40 mins away, to look at it on paper. When I got there nothing had changed, the price was still the same. I asked her why she lied and she told me in front of her manager she had a brain fart. Then they both lied to me saying that if they pulled my credit to finance through them it wouldn't hurt my credit because "I'm shopping for an RV within 30 days so the creditors know this and it won't hurt my credit." When I asked my loan officer at our bank he told me otherwise, that anytime you pull your credit it's a hit. So my wife and I were lied to MANY times during our experience with the sales department. Don't get me wrong their parts department is great but I will never purchase an RV from ABQ Camping World and I've warned all my friends and family. If I could give them a negative rating I would!! read more

BEWARE OF THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT!!! We took our 2018 Artic Wolf in for basic warranty work. It took 6 months and a lot of pressure to finally get our camper back the day we were scheduled to leave for a trip. When we arrived to pick up the camper all the lower compartments were unlocked and our $1200 NEW inverter generators (which they were supposed to use to repair an item they didn't address) were gone. Rick in service claimed it's a "common problem" and we needed to just replace them, send Camping World the receipt and they would reimburse us. With no generators we were forced to postpone our scheduled trip. Conveniently, Rick is no longer with Camping World and they are now unwilling to reimburse us for our stolen generators. In addition Jennifer was very nasty in relaying the message that they would not be honoring their agreement. I will never set foot in Camping World again. read more

Customer beware! We took our RV in for several cosmetic items. Five weeks later we finally got it back. Both batteries were totally dead. One was leaking acid. Neither will hold a charge. The fantastic fan in the living room was left on. It no longer works--apparently burned out. We called back to complain. Jennifer Housand, the service manager, called in response to our complaint. She had the RV picked up and taken back to Camping World. She sent an email stating that the batteries were 4 years old and at the expected end of their life span. She also stated that the fantastic fan was never turned on. This despite the fact that the service advisor called to asked where we kept the remote for the fantastic fan and to say they had a hard time opening the French door to the living area. Ms. Housand stated that the fan must have activated because the thermostat did so. That defies credulity. The fan cannot magically turn on unless the thermostat is set for a temperature. When we took the RV in the batteries held a charge and the fantastic fan thermostat was set to off. After spending a great deal of time and money, we now find ourselves needing to spend more of both before we can leave on our planned trip. Cannot under any circumstances recommend service at Camping World. If the option existed to rate this company lower, I would most certainly do so. read more

Odd experience. We have shopped at many Camping Worlds, but this was the worst service we have ever experienced. My husband was looking for a couple different things and all the sales people pointedly ignored him. Then when we found what we wanted there was no one at the cash register. It seemed as though no one was assigned to provide a way to buy purchases. We are visiting from out of town. Glad we won't have to shop at this Camping World again. read more

I would give lower than one star if I could. My husband and I visited this location on 3 different instances and each one was awful. Really not sure why we gave 3 chances but I would never recommend this RV dealership. The first time we went they just pointed us in the direction of the RVs and no one ever bothered to help. The second time, it was evident that the salesman was just about a sale (which I am sure he gets a commission) but he said he would look around for us and never called us back nor bothered to look. The third time we went in, we saw a unit advertised on FB for $18499 and when we got there the salesman (who was a different man from the 2nd visit) must have told us 30 lies in 30 minutes. He then told us the price was wrong and by the time we left it should be changed. He never showed us the unit we went to see and immediately took us to a more expensive unit. When I told him it wasn't within the price range we were looking, he told us we were crazy to think we would find a unit for less. All the while, the people in the office next to us was told the $18499 would be a total of $21000 after all fees. I would recommend you AVOID THIS RV DEALER AT ALL COST and stop at Albuquerque RV. Camping World sales people are not about the customer and has horrible customer service. Save yourself the hassle. read more

Be careful when dealing with this company. They don't keep their word. When we finalizing our deal they tried to add $10,000.00 to our loan for a service contract. They said that they got us approved because of this service contract. Insinuating we would not have gotten approved without it. We have very good credit so that was not the case. They wanted us to sign up for a 17 year loan. I wonder how many people they have deceived with this tactic? Upon delivery there is a light on the front of the trailer that did not work, so they offered us a $50.00 cash card to make up for it. Here it is over two months with no card. We have called multiple times over the last 3 weeks with only one return phone call today 5/26/2021 and the person I spoke with said they don't give out cash cards and offered me a camping world card, which does me no good since we live well over 200 miles from camping world. Make sure you know what you are signing before you do. If they can slip it by you they will. We will NEVER spend any money with Camping World Again because they can not be trusted and they don't keep their word. Over the years we have purchased travel trailers and R.V. supplies and items from camping world with no problems. But this location is run by sharks they promise the moon and deliver rotten eggs... read more

Hated to come back in due to all the problems I've had in the past but I needed a factory part, and unfortunately they're the only dealer in town. Staff was friendly but not to my surprise, clueless. I asked for a docking station part which they had no idea of existence despite my pictures and maybe 50 units with the same one on their lot. They requested a VIN number so I had to drive 30 minutes one way back to my house to get it. After my return and over an hour wait they still couldn't figure out what the part was. They asked me to email all the information to them so they could Conti to look for it. Good way to get rid of a customer! I went down to La Mesa RV and the young lady behind the counter knew what the part was immediately, unfortunately they weren't a dealer but offered to contact the dealer for me. I emailed Jayco directly and was advised they couldn't sell to the public so I advised them of the problem. They gave me the part number and I called an out of town dealer and they ordered the part for me. read more

This would be 5 stars however in their retail area, Marshall was one of the most rude employees I have ever met. He completely lacks social skills and I watched him show ZERO help to an older gentleman trying to replace his RV lights to LED lights. In fact I was so upset by the way he handled the situation I took it upon myself to help the old man find the correct lights as I have experience since we did this recently to our RV. This was after my transaction where he told me I could "interrogate the parts guys" about my simple question about my power cord. To be frank I was so displeased with Marshall's attitude if I owned this store and I had an employee who acted like him I would be ASHAMED!! Moving on, what made my experience here AMAZING was Shawn (not sure of spelling) in service. (Also Debbie in service area was great too!) I had a serious problem with my power connection and he helped me get it fixed and back on the road. He was empathic to the fact that I had my three children with me and suggested the waiting area which is very comfortable! Coffee, popcorn, wifi, vending machines, couches, comfy chairs and tables. Got to Camping World soon after they opened. Needed 1 tire bought and mounted. Took 1 1/2 hours to find a tire for our pop up camper. Another hour to go pick it up. Then told us it would be later in the afternoon before they could mount it on the rim we brought. Our trailer is sitting on I-40. Extremely poor service. Not knowable about how to use their vendors. Will never go to any Camping World again. Ended up going to Discount Tire and they had it on in minutes. If you don't have a $400,000. motorhome, you don't count. We were planning on buying a new travel trailer we saw on line when we got home but they've lost that sale. read more

Went here for the first time this past weekend to check out some travel trailers i saw on their website. Had good communication via email and even set an appointment time for a saturday. Went in and was pleasantly greeted by a few sales people when my family and I walked in. Met with Tom and Eron who were both extremely helpful and showed us all the models with the options we were looking for. I was very impressed that the prices on the website are already marked down ~20% or more, even on the 2017 models. So when they showed us the numbers they were very good deals and i didnt have to keep negotiating back and forth like at an auto dealership. And after setting up financing, we even got to take it home that same day! This really helped since this place is wayyyyyy out there past 9 mile hill. They have a huge selection of all types of RVs, so it was nice getting to see all the options within our budget. I was very surprised how busy this place was on a cold January saturday! Also, they have a HUGE store with all kinds of nicknacks for your RV and camping. Its the biggest one i have seen, though i have only been to a few here in ABQ. So overall this place was great and everybody was extremely friendly. I was a bit hesitant to go here after reading reviews, but i didnt experience any negativity from anyone. read more

Brought my rv in to have a water valve replaced. It took them three weeks but that wasn't the bad part. While driving it home I noticed it was pretty smelly. When I got home, I checked the toilet. You guessed it! Someone decided to relieve themselves in my rvs toilet! No water! No flushing! Disgusting! I returned it promptly for them to clean it up and it took them another 3 hours! This should have been priority! Who does that? Disgusting lack of regard for other people's property. I reported them to coorporate and just got an apology. While waiting for them to clean it, I looked at brand new rvs they had open. One had urine in the toilet! Never give these people ANY kind of business! read more

Terrible customer service. My rv has been there for 2 months with no updates. Simple fix and 2 months later still sitting there. Took over 2 weeks just to order a simple part. They forgot the first time so I called 2 weeks later and they finally ordered part. My parents bought an ace motor home from this place and they had problems with the generator. They blamed them and took advantage of them because of there age. They said it was overheating because it needed new oil and air filter. Generator has only 14 hours and has been overheating since they purchased it. They refused to fix problem. read more

Very poor service department and customer service. I had a problem with my black tank gushing sewage when I tried to empty it in my older class C which until this point had no problems whatsoever. They had winterized it but I can use the toilet since it just goes straight to the tank and I use water in that I carry. I tried to drain the tank to find that the valve was stuck open and as soon as I took of the cap off it gushed sewage. I called and spoke to someone in service and was told they could empty it and look for the problem. When I called to make an appt was given the run around about coming in, then told to come in at 11am. Got there at 11, waited 40 minutes for their check in process, had to explain to several people what the problem was, was given 'paper work' on winterization when it was already winterized, was chastised for using the toilet, then they wanted to take pictures of my unit (?) and they seemed more intent on proving it wasn't their fault rather than actually solving the problem. I was told they aren't a dump station, would be charged two hours of labor, on and on and on. I left absolutely disgusted, problem not solved and will never return to them. Absolutely WORST service I have ever received. read more

No stars from us. Service department is horrible! We took our Jayco in 2 months ago which we bought in May 2019 brand new and was told we had to wait for the warranty department for a defective axle, our major complaint. Our camper didn't sit straight and you could clearly see it when you were behind camper. We also told them among the axle of a few other problems which were, water leaks around faucets, kitchen sink, tub and toilet. The rocker switch for canopy was loose, freshwater fill opening was coming off outside wall and the tong jack. We also requested for them to winterize it and they didn't. Fast forward 11-9-19 Upon arrival to pick up because husband was told it was ready, the interior lights were left on which lead to a almost dead battery but it had enough juice to run water pump for just a second. The kitchen faucet had froze and apparently busted lines and squirted water everywhere. Then battery died. Husband showed service department lady and was told service manager would call on Monday. Every time we were told they would call they never did except when they said it was ready for pick up. It wasn't ready and now there is more damage!!!! This was a 400 mile round trip for husband and does anyone take pride in there work anymore? What about decent customer warranty service because we are still making payments for something we can't use -now we have more damage than what we started with Update: 12/6/19 Picked up camper today and only one thing was fixed. We paid the winterize fee and inspected camper and seen only one thing fixed. The window near the kitchen table was left open during the recent rain storm and now it smells musty. We are upset but didn't want to leave camper again, now we are driving down the road and camper is still tracking sideways. They replaced axle when husband told them previously it was probably spring mounts. We are upset with workmanship and quality of service. Gave them a chance but never going back. We were ready to buy but had a couple of basic questions. The salesman said he was off the next two days but would get back with the answers after he returned. My husband called back the next day and asked for someone else to get the answers for us as he was going to have some surgery and needed answers sooner. We never heard from either of them again!! We were not new to the world of Rving. The 2016 Starcraft Launch was our 4th trailer. At the time that we purchased the unit, we also purchased the "Extended Warranty". We were told that it would cover everything except the tires and wheels. The finance gentlemen went on to say it would even cover the decals if they came loose. We could rest assured that our unit was completely covered. Our first problem with the unit surfaced in November 2016 when the laminate started to peel off the counter top in the kitchen, table, bathroom vanity, anything that had laminate (thin plastic sheeting) was coming loose. We took the Unit to Camping World in Macon, GA and after about 3 months the counter top and table were replaced. We took the unit back for the other repairs, thinking it was still under warranty and there was no hurry, and were told the Extended Warranty would not fix the manufacturer's defect..........apparently the Extended Warranty only covered electrical and mechanical that we purchased and paid over $1,800 for would not fix the mfg. defect???? Has anyone else had this problem????? read more

My wife and I were on a mission for our first travel trailer. We looked at several models and our time with sales associate was fine. However, I was told he would call me back after looking for trailers that would meet our needs. Three weeks later, Absolutely no follow up. Must not work on commissions. If you thought that we weren't serious or worthy....awe are enjoying our new travel trailer bought elsewhere. Today we went back to look at the retail area, yes to spend some money. However, that did not work out either. We checked their website and according to that they close at 6:00pm. We jumped in the truck and drove 40 miles. We arrived at 4:45 and after looking around for 10 minutes was told they close in 5 minutes. I asked the sales associate to please inform someone that their website was wrong. A tall gentleman in a red shirt commented kind of rudely that their hours had been updated. The sales associate apologized and the gentleman in the red shirt did not. You've lost a costumer. read more

We bought our used, dream RV at the Albuquerque Camping World location. The salesman even called it a "unicorn". They are so hard to find at a reasonable price. First, Camping World filled out paperwork incorrectly. $4,000.00 later, they did correct their mistake. We were promised a refund. That never happened. We contacted corporate. We were assigned a file number. That is as far as it went. Then, the real problems started. Our RV broke down twice, and was repaired twice. Upon further investigation, our dream, unicorn RV had been in the shop approximately 20 times before we purchased it. They sold us a lemon. Did they know? We don't know. They should have known. We found out from a CARFAX report. Do they not check on the used items they are selling? Isn't that bad business? Our second complaint to corporate lead to another file number. Their response this time was, it is a problem at the local level. The Albuquerque location is willing to trade out at a $30,000 loss for us. We can't even sell the RV. It would give someone else our problem. So, we are stuck making payments on something that at this time does not work, or take a significant financial hit. If you plan on purchasing an RV in the Albuquerque area, shop local. We have purchased other RVs at both Myers RV and Rocky Mountain RV with great success. read more

DO NOT take anything here for service or parts unless you have a whole bunch of time to waste. I spent an entire day waiting for dealer installation of options on the RV we bought there. Even with an appointment that was supposed to be first thing in the morning. I drove the RV there, promptly at 08:00, four hours later they finally took it back to the service bays. I finally got out of there at 15:45. The RV first oil change took five hours. My most recent visit took 5 days! I dropped off my wife's car to be fitted for a tow bar package for dingy towing. They ran into a couple problems they could not get proper bolts for. Phone call after phone call. I got a different story every time. They failed to call with updates when they said they would. I had to keep calling them to find out status. Inconvenience and frustration are definitely not worth the trouble, time and the unfriendly, uncaring attitude makes one think they really don't want repeat business. read more

We took our RV in on August 1, 2017 because our refrigerator was not turning on. We figured that it may only be a fuse but didn't know exactly which fuse it was. A service person came out immediately to assist us with finding exactly which one it was, but he couldn't figure it out either. He went back and forth to and from the service dept to our RV. Then he finally brought out another service guy who figured out which fuse it was and replaced it. We were grateful that it was only a fuse. Since we were there with the RV, we told them that our toilet was leaking and suspected that it was the sprayer hose which is attached underneath the toilet and we couldn't get to it, so we had to keep the water at the toilet turned off. They told us to leave the RV and that they would get it done in a couple of days. We happened to be in the area on Saturday August 5th and asked if our RV might be ready. They said that it was not and that they would have our service advisor call us. On Monday the 7th I did not get a call from our advisor. I called on Tuesday and again asked for our service advisor. Again she was not available so I asked for her voicemail and left the message asking her to call me immediately. When she finally called, I explained to her that I needed to know if the RV was ready for pick up. She said she would check and get back to me. I did not hear from her that day, so I called again on Wednesday and left her another message. When I got the call back she again said that the RV was not ready and that she would call us when it would be ready. By the morning of August 12th, my wife said that she would call the advisor herself. When she called, she demanded to speak to the advisor immediately and that if she didn't come to the phone, we would file a major complaint. When she got on the line, my wife told her that she better go back to the service area and find out what was going on with our unit. She said that she would do it immediately. She got back on the phone and told us that we could go ahead and pick it up. We asked her if it was already done, why hadn't we gotten the call to let us know. She said that they just had to have a supervisor sign off on it on that he just did. I told her that when we get there it had better be ready to go and that we didn't want anymore delays. She said it would be ready. When we arrived there, of course the RV was not ready and we had to wait. We told the advisor that we would file a complaint about the delay and the lack of Customer Service and call backs to us. She said that we could talk to the service supervisor Jennifer. Jennifer took us into her office and apologized profusely for all the inconveniences we had experienced. She said that we should not have waited so long and that we should have received responses in a timely manner. Because of this experience, she would write off our bill. We figured that the bill was not going to be very much since they only replaced a fuse which was outside of the shop in the parking lot and replaced a sprayer hose. We were shocked when we saw the bill for $155.48. Labor of course was the majority of the cost at $64.50 per job. My wife asked Jennifer if we could be assured that the leak has been fixed, Jennifer said that it was water tested to make sure. We were so happy that we spent some money in the Camping World store while we waited for the RV to be driven out. We took off on our 15 day vacation on August 19th. On the first use of our toilet we discovered that the toilet leaked all over the carpet and floor and that they never replaced the hose, since the hose was dusty, they only replaced the sprayer attached to the hose, which was never the problem. We could have replaced the sprayer ourselves. My wife called Camping World when we arrived in Farmington, NM. If she recalls, she spoke to Simon and he was extremely rude. He told my wife that it was written in the service report that I said the sprayer handle was frozen. I told the person writing the report was that the hose might have gotten frozen and broke underneath the toilet where it couldn't get to it. She wrote it as a frozen sprayer handle. It's ridiculous to think that we would take the RV in for service just for the sprayer handle, and even more ridiculous is that it would take almost 2 weeks to get it attached. This would be a less than 1 minute job that I could have done myself. First thing on Monday, my wife called Camping World to speak to Jennifer but she was not available, so she left a explaining about the continued leak at the toilet and for her to call my wife back. Jennifer never called back. She again called and asked one of the employees to find her, but they were unable to find her, so my wife left another message on Jennifer's voicemail. We were on our vacation for 15 days returning on September 2nd and never got a call from Jennifer. We are now prepared to file a complaint with the corporate office. read more

I have a 2003 RV and had to have work done on it a few times, the folks at Camping World of Albuquerque did a great job, even went so far as to fix work they did in Boise Idaho and no charge. What a great group that believes in doing what they say and standing by there work. Here is a kicker, they actually get done on time and never give you a time frame passed what you ask for. I bought a camping trailer in July 2015 from Camping World. The experience was exceptional. Polite and professional service. Unfortunately that camper was stolen Thanksgiving 2015 from my front yard. In the months that followed I have been dealing with insurance company's particularly Safe Guard International LLC. Camping World has provided me with documentation after documentation in a effort to get my GAP claimed paid. At 3:00pm today, I called and was transferred to parts. I asked, "Do you carry Lynx Stay Put clothing hangers?" The woman on the other end said yes. I asked if they had 4 packages, and she said they had that many and more. We spent an hour driving, and arrived at 4:00pm (half due to an accident). After looking through the store and unable to find the product, I asked for assistance. I was directed to the sales associate who I spoke with on the phone. She took me to some other brand of hangers, and I expressed that I specifically asked for the "Lynx Stay Put clothing hangers." With an attitude, she said, "well, I've never heard of that brand," and walked off. I asked her name on my way out, and with attitude she said "Trina." Never an apology by her or the female at the counter who was witness to this. We have never had a single positive experience with Camping World, including today. Afterwards, we stopped at La Mesa with polite customer service, and Albuquerque RV with EXCELLENT customer service. Earlier in the day, we had great customer service at Rocky Mountain RV (unfortunately they didn't have enough of the hangers in stock). After prior poor customer service, I said I would never give my business to Camping World. I made the mistake of going back on my word today. We brought our 5th wheel to Camping World because a tire blew out on I-40 W. The schrapnel from the blow out severed the water lines, tore up the fender flare, and caused other collateral damage. The service department here is outstanding and got us back on the road in one day. I am very puzzled at some of the reviews, because everyone we met at this business was very courteous and conscientious. We were very happy with this business. read more
