Extremely Poor Customer Service. We bought a brand new Keystone Bullet about 10 days ago. Since we were driving over 100 miles to pick the unit up, we asked them to test everything to make sure it worked. Last week when we were prepping for our 800 mile trip to Florida, we discovered the microwave didn't work. We called on Saturday, March 3. Were still waiting on a call back. But the topper is...they let my husband hook up and pull away from the dealership with a hitch ball that was 5/8 of an inch Too small. We only discovered it after driving 400 miles, when we stopped for our first overnight stay and while leveling the trailer, the tongue popped right off the ball. That could have been a disaster if it happened while driving. read more

After I wrote my review I got a reply to email them at camping world..well that was a big joke..I emailed them a few weeks ago and never heard one word back from them...they are a bunch of freaking liars..and after talking to other people who bought from them they have told me about their horrible experiences at camping world. It just amuses me to death that every single reply they have to these reviews is the same - "I am so sorry for the experience you have had at our Harrisburg location. If you require additional help, please let us know at CSTeam@campingworld.com so that we may better assist you." Why should everyone have to contact CSTeam@camping world.com for better assistance? It appears that pretty much everyone with a review has already contacted Camping World and they should be solving the issues! Not sending everyone to another place that will probably never answer them anyway! The service department is horrible. The service writers are clueless, and if they would ever return phone calls, perhaps things would be completed in a more timely fashion. Our unit has been there for over two weeks waiting for a part. Not to mention it took over three weeks to even get in touch with them before we took it there. Now it's been over a month that we could even use it. We are reserved for vacation next week and are not cancelling. They better have the unit fixed, or they better be prepared to give us a unit to take on vacation! read more

Very poor, disappointment in every area - I only gave them a single star because that is the lowest rating I am allowed. The ONLY reason this dealer remains in business is because they are the only one around for miles. I work nearby and because they are the only dealership around I have had to deal with them several times - always swearing never to return. Well, I will keep that promise now, I've called for parts for three days. As is usual they don't answer and they don't return calls. I needed a thermostat for my rv, I found a dealership in Houston -PPL. I was allowed to hold for assistance, the tech found that my part was discontinued, called coleman gave me the new part number in case I could find a replacement locally due to heat. He also gave me his personal ext. to call back with no waiting in case I needed him to order & expedite shipping to me - And that My Friends is CUSTOMER SERVICE read more

First of all let me start off by saying they don't even deserve one star!! We purchased a camper at the Hershey RV show this past September and have had no result in any of the issues in a brand new Montana unit. I have reached out to keystone corporate and get nothing but the runaround and sent back to the dealership. They are rude and disrespectful. We were told by the manufactures rep that our new Montana would have leather type furniture in the unit which it does not and they are not standing behind it. I also told A said if we wanted the brown bourbon furniture in her unit it would be a 10 to 14 week wait in our neighbors order days exact same camper and had their unit with bourbon furniture in one week. Of course they also had issues. Furniture was damaged upon receipt and so were the steps in the unit. My finance paperwork does not even match the model of the camper that I purchased and there's names on the paperwork for people who don't even work there anymore. They are very unprofessional and I will never buy anything from them again. I have reached out to other camping worlds. Recommend everyone in Harrisburg Pennsylvania stay away from this dealership and go elsewhere. We are learning a hard lesson. Working with AG, BBB and PennDot on misrepresentation and have gathered quite a few others via social media who are disgusted with them as we are. As of today, they have many of the same model on the lot.. but do you think they would make this right. NO! STAY AWAy from CAMPING WORLD HARRISBURG. Misrepresent! Lie! hostile.. GO to MYERS RV down the street and buy one. This has been a nightmare but for someone who had tight connections politically and with the media... it's now time to call them in! it's been a rough year so far. we had a good salesman sell us a NEW RV in March 2018. the problem with Camping World lies in the SERVICE DEPT. I have never experienced such bad service as we've had from the Harrisburg Store. we took our RV back for its 90 day warranty service in June and after having it 2 weeks they still had done NOTHING to it! This cut into our Camping time, we were supposed to get the paint and fabric protection (which we paid dearly for!) which did not get done then either. 5 months later and we have our RV in again now for 3 weeks for warranty work and minor "fixes"...AND the paint and fabric protection they never did at the 90 day appt. Get this, we were told when we have an appointment it doesn't mean they are working on it that day or the next, or the next. They give themselves a 3 day grace period... to ponder, I guess! So at this appointment we are into our 3rd WEEK of waiting and now they tell us they must contact THOR to approve a "fix" and get parts to repair! Now if they would've looked at it 3 weeks ago, they would have the part by now and return the RV to us, but NOOOOOO they can't look ahead like that! Bad, bad organization and management is my conclusion to this nightmare of an ordeal. So will we get everything fixed this time? I doubt it! SHAME ON YOU CAMPING WORLD!!! You are a big enough company (with plenty of money) that you should indeed be able to get your act together in the service department of ALL the Camping Worlds because what we hear from other campers is the same thing ....Service is horrendous in all of them! read more

Total joke!!! This place misleads and falsely advertises their merchandise. Advertised a motorcycle with 43,000 miles on it. When I call to inquire about it they say "We have to dig it out". Called on a Friday night and said I would be willing to drive 2 hours from Philadelphia to see it. Called on Saturday morning to say I was on my way. The salesman says he is with another customer and some receptionist shows me the bike. I set eyes on it and immediately it looks like a POS. Come to find out it has 120,000 mikes on it. Turn around and walk out. Tell the "Receptionist" thanks for wasting my time and make sure your BS Sales Manager knows too. The Sales person "apologizes for the mix up". i check the website 3 days later and nothing changes. Same bike advertised for same price showing 43k miles. STAY AWAY FROM THESE FRAUDS read more

We bought a motor home from this place in August 2017. Very disappointed in everything about this place. We were told one price when we looked at the motorhome, but when we went to pick it up the price was a lot higher. This was our fault for not taking a picture of the price tag when we looked at the motorhome. Then when it came to the financing was another big mess. The girl helping us talked us into taking a some Elite Package road service. It is only good for 4 years, but you pay on it for the life of the loan, which in our case was 20 years. That right there says rip-off. Again our fault for not speaking up. On our first camping trip out we found out the cable for the t.v. did not work, the pump for the sink on the outside kitchen didn't work, the onan motor didn't work. Also when we looked at the motorhome they showed us a gas grill for the outside kitchen, when we got there to pick up the motorhome there was no grill and the salesman said it was extra for that. Also the girl who was suppose to be helping us, showing us how everything worked didn't seem to know much about it. We also have got 2 recalls on it and dropped it off on December 7, 2017 and still have not got a call that everything is fixed. We live 85 miles one way from this place, so we can't just hop in the car and be there in a 1/2 hour. Also we were told on one of the reviews that the CEO of camping world posted it you are a Trump supporter take your business else where. If I had read that before we bought our motorhome I would have done what he suggested. This place is making Thor (the manufacturer) look really bad. Do not go to this place. My husband took our Freedom Elite in for service several times. I believe the first time he was overcharged for service, but he decided to give them another chance. The last time he took back when our water heater decided to quit on us and also mentioned that the front ceiling needs looked at because it appears the wood has rotted and is starting to cave in. If you know how much we payed for this RV you would not think we would be having such problems!! Anyway, our quote was outrageous, so we decided to just have the water heater fixed and see if we could find someone else to do the repair on the ceiling. We paid $488.12 to replace the bypass valve (which I believe we were ripped off). When we picked up the RV we found out that they lost our 2nd set of keys and now suddenly our heater didn't work. It worked before we took the RV in. My husband said to just forget it, he just wasn't taking the RV back there and found somewhere closer to repair the heater and was charged only $60 and was repaired the same day. I have a feeling if we would have taken it to Camping World it would have been hundreds of dollars and would have taken a week. read more

Stay away ! We purchased a new 2018 Wildwood 32' travel trailer in April. We used it a few times and then the whole thing started having problems. The slide quit working. The refrigerator would not run on electricity. The outside LED lights did not work. The kitchen faucet was hooked up backwards. The Sewage tank lights were not displaying correctly. A leak from the roof. Stabilizer jacks quit working. So we take it back to camping world in September and low and behold they have a list of problems that were never taken care of before we picked up our new camper. Well it is now November 20th. Over 3 months from when we dropped it off (We live 2.5 hours from there). They told my wife it would be ready Nov. 19th and when she went to pick it up it was not ready. The tongue would not work and there was a light pulled off on the outside and a dent in the side. Still waiting on a call from anyone there. Poor customer service. Never ever will I use camping world again and I will pass my regret along to anyone willing to hear it! read more

Bought a new Forest River 186RB single axel travel trailer on Jan 27. Salesman Charles Jablonski was a gem to work with. The shop on the other hand was not. Brakes seemed ineffective on camper. When I brought it back to have them check they insisted I agree to pay the shop fee of $129/hr. in case they decide it's not a camper problem. This was of course their response. They said voltage on my truck wasn't high enough. Wanted to charge me for another 1.5 hours to install new wire. I balked because braking was no better when truck was completely by-passed by pulling the emergency break-away pin. Elliot from the shop would not sit in the truck with me so I could show him this. After a second trip to the shop they agreed to pull my camper with one of their vehicles. Braking still ineffective. They then wrote a warranty ticket and had the camper in their shop for 16 days. After that period I received a "break-in" procedure for brakes that said "Electric drum brakes will require a break-in period to achieve full performance". Problem solved except that sales manager Brian Quinn refused to credit the charge they insisted I pay on the previous visit. Brian also tried to sell me a weight distribution system so that more camper weight would be on front axel of my truck. He said that would improve braking. Seems like Camping World shop is only out to nickel and dime customers for everything possible. BEWARE! If electric brakes require a break-in period why wasn't that disclosed at the orientation before I drove away or immediately mentioned when I brought it back the first time. Dale read more

If you enjoy making multiple calls to get answers than this is the place to do business. If you are looking for quality timely service than stay far away from this Camping World location. Once they make the sale they do not care if you are satisfied, not sure if they have any repeat customers, if they do they must of had a perfect camper and needed no after sales support. When you purchase a camper that is missing a part and you tell them to just send it to you and you will take care of installing it you would think they would be more than willing to take care of the problem, turns out that as with most things that involve the parts and service department things get lost in translation and you will be waiting forever and still not know when you will get the part. I am currently waiting for a status update on my "90 day warranty" service that was scheduled for October 24th. I am willing to bet that the part that was "ordered" when I bought the camper is still not on the camper that is still sitting on there lot after 10 weeks. Problem is I cannot get a return call or answers when I do call. read more

My wife and I bought our BRAND new camper December 30th 2017. We went on our first trip and had to tear the whole under sink apart to turn the hot water on that wasn't on. Finally figured that out and we are sitting outside relaxing what vamping is about and next thing you know water starts coming out the fresh water fill vent. I call them up the next day and got the camper an appointment to get the we owe and some other things and the faulty water pump fixed. After 2 months and after calling multiple times we finally got "its done". Got to pick it up and before I even went in and looked at it and what do you know the we owe is not done. After that I was pretty upset. Was told bring it in the end of year and we will fix it. Here it is trying to get ahold of someone and getting something done is like pulling teeth. So much for possibly upgrading and buying a new one. I will never buy anything for camping world nor recommend anyone there. Has happen to multiple people in my family. So my advice go somewhere else if you don't want screwed over. read more

I have a 2015 Powler LX30 that I purchased in Oct.of 2014. Communication were a problem from the beginning. When I purchased my camper it was not on site and had to be shipped in from New York, after over a week of not hearing from the salesman I tried to contact him by phone and text but received no response. So I finally sent a text stating that I was canceling my purchase and all of a sudden my salesman returns my text and apologizes for his lack of communication due to personal issues. I should have taken this as a sign but I completed the purchase. My next problem started in July 2015 when I dropped my camper off for service, all of which was warranty work. I don't even no were to begin, lets just say It's been 10 wks and I still do not have my camper. That's 2 1/2 months of prime camping time that I've missed with my family, including a trip I had to cancel and lose my deposit. At this point I will never buy another camper from camping world and am currently searching for another place to provide service. read more

this is the worst service experience I have ever encountered. if they answer the phone over there all you will get is bullshit and lies. they have had my camper for 8 wks and still is not done and the same old bullshit from them that they are waiting on parts. this is the worst run rv dealer in the world and should be shut down. I don't think I have ever had to deal with a bigger bunch of do nothing clowns in my life. my advise is STAY FAR AWAY, take your business elsewhere, I know I am if I can only get my damn camper back. this place totally SUCKS, and there customer service is the WORST. read more
