This is not a good place to get servicing. It took weeks to get my camper serviced when I was told it would take a few days. I think it would have taken longer if I didn't keep calling back to get a status. Every time I left a message on the voicemail I was never called back. (Really? Come on? Just called the service department to see if I could make an appointment to locate the brake controller lead on my 2016 Discovery. I explained this would be a 300 mile round trip drive, but I needed to locate connector soonest. Curtis, the Service Manager,, was very helpful, told me he'd call me back in about 5 minutes. He returned my call within 3 minutes, told me what to look for and how the new lead is different than past years. He just saved me several hundred dollars as well as a couple days effort. I've been on the Discovery Owners Forum, called Fleetwood Customer Service, and visited many other RV information websites searching for information about this connector. None of those searches or sites provided me the information I received from Curtis. If you need service, I recommend this location. read more

Bought a Brand new Class A and it took 3 months to get warranty work scheduled and unit had to be left there! Whatever you do, PLEASE DO NOT BUY OR HAVE YOUR RV SERVICED HERE. We purchased a brand new Class A RV from Camping World Harrisburg with some difficulties steaming from the finance department. It was extremely challenging for them to provide an interest rate and purchase price in a transparent manner. Okay, we had some difficulties but we still got our new rv after several frustrating hours. Now we are dealing with the service department which is worse than than the sales. We receive a phone call that some parts arrived and need to be installed. Okay, we can bring it in and have a couple of other things addressed and we will purchase and have a satellite installed. Now, they will only fix a couple of items and no one from management will speak with us. I am not sure how an item can be ordered and set up for install and now they refuse to preform the work. They claim it does not fall under the manufactures warranty when it was never a warranty issue to begin with. We didn't even know about the scratches in the microwave until we dropped the rv off and did the walk through with service. If you want to waste your money and time go to Camping World Harrisburg. My wife and I went to the RV show last October in Hershey Pa. We purchased a Wildwood 32 ft. camper in from Campers World. When we went to pick it up and there was several issues with the camper. We live 3 hours away and did not bring it home so they could do the repairs. It was obvious that no one had walked through the camper before we drove the three hours to pick it up. We were told that they would deliver it when it was repaired. That didn't happen! Finally in April they said it was ready. NOT! My wife and I drove up the night before 3 hrs. Stayed in a hotel. Our expense. When we got there, they were working on the camper. I don't know what they were doing for the last several months but I know they weren't fixing our camper. We finally made the trip home and when we got home and opened up the slideout it destroyed the brand new drawer that they had been installing when we arrived in Harrisburg. The tech that installed it forgot to put the catch on the bottom of the drawer causing it to open up while we were traveling home. As of today the issue has not been resolved. As well as other repairs that needed attention. Apparently now the story we get is that the factory has lost the order for the part. I would not recommend, based on our experience, that anyone purchasing a camper buy one from Camping World !!!!! ZERO stars read more

I've read 20 reviews all with my same experience, I'm on hold again and told someone will call me back, this is the 6th day in a row that no returns calls and if you do get your camper in for a repair my history with them is that they get the camper keep it for a month and I get it back and nothings changed it took three trips to get the brakes adjusted 2 months to receive a part for the refrigerator. But they were eager to sell a 3 year parts and repair warranty. Has anyone been able to get a partial return on their warranty program or able to transfer it to another camping world? read more

Walking into the building I knew I found it too familiar not to question. I had definitely been here before. But how could I? I've never been to a Camping World! Upon further investigation I realize that I had seen this location on the hit show "The Profit." I asked an emplyee, who was very kind, about being on the show and they gladly shared their experience. But most of all, what made this trip to camper heaven was the angel of a salesman, Jerry Barger! What a phenomenal guy! Not only did he check off every box of the salesman handbook, but he also went above and beyond to make sure we had the best and most fun experience while checking out RVs. His knowledge of campers and delightful personality truly made our day one to remember. Emmey and I were simply shopping around for our mobile office, trying to get a better idea of the RV market, and Jerry did a great job of understanding our needs and not being pushy about buying. My wife and I just bought a New Trailer from here and are very happy with the service. Our sales person showed us the trailer we were interested in and had a list of similar ones for us to compare. She didn't try to upsell us and even showed less expensive models. A representative contacted us before our appointment for delivery and answered our questions about the process. The day of delivery we were given a walk through and all our questions were answered. They even hooked the trailer to our truck and explained how the hitch worked. They also made a service appointment 90 days out so if we had any problems we wouldn't be waiting for a slot. They also called the day after the sale to check on us and answer any other questions. read more

Thanks to Wayne (our salesman) for getting us into our RV. We went to Camping World to look at 2 used RV's. He took the time to show us both and test drive the one we wanted to purchase. It did take us 3 weeks to go back and finish the deal (due to unexpected weather) but when we returned everyone was very helpful and could not have been nicer. If I could give a 0 I would. My motorhome has been in their service department for 2 Months!!!! Light bulb change and the shade needed to be fixed. Promises and promises of when they would have our motorhome back to us. Every time its "they sent us the wrong shade or the shade has a hole it". Call today they say "sorry they sent us the wrong shade again", but we found out its the motor so we have one in stock so we are going to replace that today or tomorrow!!!! So now I have been waiting 2 months for you to diagnose that its the motor and not the shade, or you just doing a quick fix and we will have to bring it back in again.. Uggh mind you when we bought the motorhome 2 years ago the shade needed to be fixed. I hate that I have to go through them for the warranty, total waste of time and money!!!! Update ... we finally picked up our RV last Friday. When we arrived at Camping World we were advised that everything was repaired. However when we arrived home and slid out all the slides the bar in the closet to hang our clothes that bent and ripped out is the ceiling was not repaired. If I could give no stars for service I would. For the past 5 years I've been dealing with this place. Sure, the point of sale on a 2015 Prowler Lynx was great. Service that followed was and has remained atrocious. Most RV dealers in eastern PA will only service what they sell, which is a red flag right there. So I am sentenced to service imprisonment to this dealer. Twice now in the past 5 years they have told me I had a bent axle on the trailer, which has NEVER, and I mean NEVER, been overloaded. The first time it was within months of purchase (defective rear axle from manufacturer) this time, 8000 miles later, its the other original part axle (front) that bent. The first time it took Grumbines FOUR MONTHS to fix the problem (2015). This time it took them 3 weeks after I dropped the trailer off to even diagnose the problem, and that's AFTER I had to make calls to find out what the hell was going on. Contact from this service dept is awful, yet another half camping season lost due to this dealer being too big for its britches and focusing on sales profits over customer service. Excuses from service are actually hilarious, and of course, the standard excuse for delays NOW is the usual "because of the pandemic" BS. Buy somewhere else, stay away from this place, plenty of other RV dealership fish in the water out there. read more

In August 2019, I purchased a 23MK Forrest River Grey Wolf trailer from McGeorge's RV (an Camping World RV sales and service dealership). The purchase of the trailer went very well, it was after that the nightmare began. We brought the unit home to PA and used it once over a weekend in the fall of 2019. We immediately found that the p-trap under the kitchen sink was improperly installed after it had leaked and soaked everything under the sink I bought replacement parts to temporarily fix the problem until I could contact the dealership. After that, the unit went into inside, climate controlled storage until May of 2020. When we brought the unit out, we found that the electric fireplace and microwave were not working. We also discovered several other discrepancies. The inside window trim rings were ALL over tightened, the kickplate for the kitchen sink cabinet had swelled due to the previous plumbing leak, the shelf in the bathroom cabinet had collapsed due to the lack of supporting screws, there was a 1/2" gap between the kitchen window trim ring and the wall. there are 2 chrome wheels on one side and 2 black powder coated wheels on the other side and the there was a crease in the slide out trim due to overtightening of the screws. After further inspection, I founded that the furnace ducts were not connected to the furnace and metal / wood debris in all the hidden compartments. I attempted to contact the general manager and the Salesman who sold us the unit and left several messages to call me back, with no response. I contacted the Service Department where I dealt with rude and unresponsive staff. I finally contacted Camping World Corporate Offices who put me in touch with a Warranty Mediator. All of my concerns were relayed to her and it was agreed that I would return my unit to the Harrisburg, PA Camping World for the warranty work. I was Scheduled to bring the unit in at 2PM on June 26, 2020. I arrived on time, expecting that the service department would be ready for me. My assigned service writer seemed uninterested, unaware of why I was there and was unable to locate the paperwork for my unit. I was obviously upset and asked to speak to the Service Manager. The Service Manager was rude und argumentative. I finally got the unit checked in. I was in contact with the mediator at least once a week, getting the same answer each time, " They are waiting on parts." Finally, in the beginning of September, I told the mediator that I had to have the unit back as I was renting my house and moving to Virginia and would be living in my trailer for an extended period of time. I was told I could pick up the unit and when the parts came in they could ship them to a local Camping World where the repair items would be addressed. When I picked up the unit, it was in worse shape then when I picked it up. I had asked that the plumbing under the sink be replaced with OEM parts. When I checked, it was over the counter parts and the drain wasn't even connected. The repairs to the bathroom cabinet was sub standard and the unit was filthy with sawdust and metal shavings. Instead of just replacing the slide out trim piece, they used silicone caulking that appeared as if a 2 year old had done the work. The gasket around the slide out was also damaged. As I pointed the additional deficiencies to the service manager, he became rude and in so many words, called me a liar. I took the unit home as it appeared I was not going to get any satisfaction. I have been in contact with the mediator on a weekly basis, up until a few weeks ago. I have given up and repaired several of the issues myself. I have been told that many of the parts have still not arrived and it's now almost been 5 months. I will NEVER Deal with or purchase ANYTHING from Camping World EVER again. DO NOT believe their slogan from the CEO, "If you're not happy, I'm not Happy." It's a lie. I haven't been happy since I began dealing with Camping World over a year ago. read more

I left a deposit ( which was never cashed thankfully) after the show unless I jumped up and down I could get a phone call back to answer simple questions ( same excuse use oh sorry we're swapped) well I finally had it after a conversation with the GM . Well...where to start....I am very disappointed in a store owned by my hero: Marcus :( After the other bad Yelp reviews: one would think something would be done with this store. Here is my experience, shared in detail, just in case management cares! First of all we went in looking for two things: a satellite receiver and a washer/ dryer. Two pretty expensive items. First the satellite: we was looking for quite some time without anyone offering help, okay: we will go find help. Over to the service desk we went which was right beside the television equipment. There was FIVE sales people standing around having a pow pow of some sort. I stood there and no one said beans, I say "excuse me, but could someone answer some questions about the satellite receivers. Well...they all looked at each other like i was really messing up there day and then one said that she would help....well....THANK YOU....(but it is your JOB). She walked over with us and did answer our questions all the while making us feel pretty stupid for asking such novice questions/ but...we have never had one before. I really hated to take up any more of her time: BUT we did need a washer. She answered our questions and we weren't sure that a washer would fit in our car and she wasn't sure there was one in stock. We payed for our satellite, went out to measure the car and she went to check if one was in stock. We went back in to say it would fit, but she said they didn't have one. Maybe they would have one in on Thursday she says. We are an hour away we say. Call to check she says! So Thursday comes and we call: THREE times and emailed once. Although the store was open when we called: we kept getting a voice mail. In the end: we found the same exact washer ($100 cheaper) with FREE shipping at a dealer online! PS: the saleslady does return our call: the next day: after we ordered online. One a positive note: the store is very clean and well stocked. I guess fine if one needs to go in and shop for small in-stock items. read more

Beware Bought a camper here first time camper buyers. Sales person was great. Finance guy very shady . Said he was transparent. But that was crap. Don't go there if you see something you like there I'm sure you can find it some where else .that are shady.said they put a paint coating on camper and even showed me work order .stop the black they said bull crap. Don't get any warranty there get it on your own. They jack up the price of the warranties . Called them the fist time and they said look at your buyers agreement and low and behold walked off without a buyers agreement. That's right they didn't even send one along. When you buy any thing and finance they have to give you a buyers agreement before you leave that Day.Talked to a finance person about that?they told me it's not even legal for them not to give you one. They emailed one a month later after they realized the didn't give me one.didn't even realize all the stuff they added on to my camper until I got my first payment was due. Thank goodness my thirty days wasn't up yet .or I would have been stuck with 8000. Dollars worth of warranty . Got most of my money back. But not happy with the paint warranty. Camper is full of black.Would put pictures on but not sure how wasn't even going to write a review.because I don't like to do this. Harrisburg-Grumbine C.W. has been a favorite store to peruse in anticipation of the arrival of a new class B rv from out-of-State. A busy store but always a friendly and helpful staff member near by. Yesterday I pulled up there with my brand new rv (stickers barely off the windows) and received help from Anthony. He spent a lot of time advising, educating, demonstrating and encouraging! He also facilitated, with the help of colleagues, the price match and delivery of an on-line Progressive Industries surge protector and a service date end of June for a couple of (hopefully minor) issues with the rv (it is usable in the meantime). Thanks Anthony, may you have many happy globe-trotting experiences in your spare time, and thanks C.W. Staff! Just got the greatest customer service of all time here! A very knowledgeable woman named Mary working at the back counter helped me with an issue I had with a SAMs Club campground recently. I was just making small talk and she went way out of her way for me and not only got me answers but showed me what to do in the future. The young employee named Travis was a help with parts as well. Camping World of Harrisburg is only interested in the sale. After they have your money and you have driven off of their lot, they don't give a hoot about you. Our brand new unit left us sit on our first long trip. It sat at a Ford dealership in S. Carolina for 7 weeks and Camping World did nothing to help us. We had to navigate and negotiate through Ford to get it fixed and back in service. We bought the unit from Camping World, not Ford, you would think they would have had some feelings of responsibility to us. So if you buy from Camping World, you need to have the ability to fix everything and to go it on your own, otherwise run very fast away. There are other more reputable dealers in the area to purchase from. If you don't believe me, just go on some of the forums or RV Facebook pages and see what everyone is saying about Camping World in general, not just this location. read more

Took my 2013 Fleetwood Bounder 33c in to get my toilet unstopped on June 5 2017. The cost was $873.44 to unstop the toilet ! The DUCK BILL CHECK VALVES where also warped. First of all should not have gone back. I delt with a great sales person 6 years ago when we purchased our 1st class a motorhome. Even though the service sucked back then we thought we would give them another opportunity. Purchased a brand new 2019 Thor Mirimar. First let's talk about pre delivery. There is no pre delivery! Maybe just a washing and tire shine. The awning lights not working, shelving missing from the refrigerator, main control board messed up and the rust under the side copartment doors was horrible. Plus 1 day before picking up the unit we were told the gray tank was leaking. (Guess what the service still sucks). Took it back for a scheduled service appointment and it has been there for over 1 1/2 weeks. Just called this morning and they have fixed nothing. I think I made a bad choice in going back. When I expressed concern about their misdiagnosis of my satellite dish (confirmed by the manufacturer) instead of getting it fixed they refused to service me at all. On other, simple warranty work, they were poor, at best. They broke a light while fixing something else, had to fix a drawer twice, and took five days just to get authorization to fix the hot water heater; and all of this was warranty work that should have been simple and quick. The sales folks are more than willing to help sell you an RV at a fair price but that is as far as it goes. We bought a brand new unit and were promised a washed and cleaned trailer and found it dirty and scratched. They did buff out a few marks The walk though to show the how things work was a 2 minute walk around. Found out why when I got home. They was some damage where another trailer apparently hit it in the yard. Also they told me that they even tested the auxiliary grill. Not so as the box was still sealed Drove 600 miles round trip to pick it up I have tried repeatedly contacting the salesman for direction and help to no avail. The trim piece I need to replace is only available to dealers and I can't purchase it even at my own cost. Also first time out this year found that it had a frozen deep cycle battery that I had to replace at my cost. Contacted Starcraft directly and talked with their technicians to get questions answered. They also told me that this Camping World hasn't the best reputation In customer service and satisfaction as they are privately owned. So if you want an RV they may have a good price but don't expect anything more after you drive out of the yard. Volume dealer with no customer respect. Just our experience read more
