Do not use this Company for RV SERVICE. We got our recall letters today for the axel & window issues on the 2015 Shasta Airflyte 19. I called the local Authorized Forest River Service Provider (Camping World Santa Clarita, Ca.). They were initially very rude, and tried everything that they could to steer me away to another Forest River provider, including pulling the trailer to Fresno, where we bought it. By the we were initially interested in another RV at this Camping World, but the sales staff was so disinterested, that we decided to simply buy somewhere else. Why would I pull a trailer that is having recall safety issues with the axel a couple hundred miles to the dealer in Fresno. The first available appointment is January 13th! I was informed by Kathy in Service Department at Camping World, that at that appointment they will not fix the problem, they will just determine which parts to order. The fix for the recall will happen even later. This is both a Camping World and a Forest River customer service issue. SHAME ON BOTH! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. We bought a brand new top-of-the-line RV here in the beginning of August. We let them know that at the end of September we would be taking a trip and we needed everything completed before the trip. It was never done. It's November now and it's still not done. We cannot get anybody not even the manager to respond to us. I'm thinking about going in and causing a scene or filing A lawsuit. Do not buy anything here!!! The customer service at the desk is horrible I had one lady that was so rude to me, that I couldn't believe it I left the store and walked back in and then explained that we had just spent a lot of money in their store. Over $100,000, and that being she is in customer service she should be helpful and not flat out rude. All the cupboard doors in our top-of-the-line RV are falling off or have fallen off. We still don't have window coverings. The door is broken and has been broken since we got it. You can't get in and out of the RV through the door you have to go through the van door. Bought a class A motorhome six months ago and it needed a lot of service since it's a lemon. The last three times I needed to bring it in, called a female service rep, terrible. You can leave three maybe four messages, finally you have to contact the service manager. Another two weeks waiting, total of three weeks wasted, then another week or two to fix it(maybe). This has gone on at least five to six times since I bought the POS. Don't make your life miserable, but from someone else. All of these posts are real, not fake. read more

I had ysed my trailer only twice since I bought it in 2019 and it's been at their service department for 8 Months and all i keep hearing is empty nonsense responds to my questions..I should of never used their service department. Purchasing process experience was good because they want to sell you their product. Repairing the product that they sold you was a nightmare!!!!!!!!! We bought a Gulfstream Enlighten 25ft travel trailer back in December 2020. Immediately after delivery we can't open the door to get in, we had to take it back to the dealership to get the lock replaced. On our first camping trip, 1.5 hours into our drive we heard a loud flapping sound coming from the back of our truck. When we looked at the side mirror we saw white material flapping from the roof of our travel trailer. We had to turn back and cancel our camping trip because the tarp covering on the roof of the travel trailer ripped off. On a brand new 2021 trailer, imagine that!!!!!! We took the trailer back to Camping World in Valencia on March 27th, it is already June 1st and the trailer still sits in the shop. We bought the trailer to be able to enjoy camping, right now we are paying for a trailer to sit in repair shop while we have to cancel camping trip reservations that we made in advance because we bought a sub par trailer. What's sooooo wrong is that the company that sold us the trailer does not even stand behind the product that they sell. read more

Beware of thier scams. I was a Good Sam member, and wanted to sell my trailer. They gave me a Good Same Guarantee price. I told the representetive that I did not want to drive my trailer 2 and half hours if they were not going to honor that price. He assured me to drive it there, the price was guaranteed. I drove the trailer all the way to Valencia, and would you know it, the man who met me to inspect the trailer said that the quote was no good and they then offered me $5,000 less than the Good Same Guarenteed price even before inspecting it. Of course, I expected them to knock off money for scratches and wear and tear, but they then took off $2000 more for that stuff. They blamed some guy out of state, the guy out of state blamed them. They all laughed when it was said and done, they probably do it all day to people. Of course they knew what they were doing. The manager had his chest puffed out, and condescendingly spoke to me. All in all the customer service was terrible and they are not people who deal honestly. Camping World Valencia is the absolute worst for customer service. We have been going there for several years and it has always been a real let down. We love the TV show, The Profit, with Marcus Lemonis who owns CW. The show is about Lemonis helping struggling businesses by his investing and taking a percentage of the struggling companies and then he takes 100% charge and runs the companies, hopefully to success. I can't help but wonder why he does not run his own company better! I live in Valencia, 5 minutes from the Valencia location. I went in to see the folding bikes to take when we travel. There were less than 2 customers in the store and more than 4 sales people. No one approached us so I asked one of them as he was walking by to help us. He said he knew nothing about the bikes but he would get us someone. He came back much later and stated he had good news and bad news. Good news was he was going to help us, bad news was he was going to help us but knew nothing about the bike we were looking at. He just stood there and repeated that he knew nothing. I had to beg him to find the key to the Ebike so we could try it out. It was obvious he just wanted us to go away but I insisted. Much later he got us someone to help from 'receiving' and we tested it out. We ended up ordering one and when it came in no one called us. So I kept calling the store and no one knew anything and they were all too busy to come to the phone, so after a couple of days of this, when they said they we so busy, I jumped in my car and drove over there and when I got there there was not one customer. I asked for the manager and got the same guy who knew nothing the first time we were there. He was rude and again knew nothing. The bottom line is the store is never busy but still no one comes to help. The manager does not come out of his office unless you insist to see him. He is very unfriendly. Lemonis really needs to tend to his own company and improve the bad customer service, not just at the Valencia store but at all of them. We have had experiences with 3 others and while Valencia is the worst, the others are not far behind in extremely poor customer service. read more

We managed to fail to pull up our RV steps and drove down the road. At about 1 block, the extended steps impacted the curb and the curb won. We ties up the remains and drove about a mile to Camping World. Casey, came out from the work bays and evaluated the damage. I requested that the steps be removed and we would be on our way. Obtaining tools, Casey set to work. Within 15 min. the steps had been removed and Casey offered to dispose of them for us. When asked how much for the "service" call, Casey replied "there is no charge." What a surprise. It is seldom you run across service such as Casey provided. read more

Terrible experience here - put a deposit on a trailer that was then sold to someone else regardless of my deposit. It has been 7 months now, and still have not received a refund for the $1000 dollar deposit. Every time I call I'm told the manager Scott Biane is the only one able to address this issue, but he is always "out" and has yet to return any of my 20+ messages... Ileft a review when i first bought the unit in 2018, nothings changed still HORRIBLE SERVICE! Buyers beware! We purchase a class A in late 2018. We were charged an inspection fee (couple thousand dollars) to make sure rig was all good, complete and in good working order. Drove off the lot with no water pump installed, no exhaust on generator, and was denied getting any of the inspection fee back. Our first trip we had no water and the motor home filled with carbon monoxide since no exhaust pipe was installed. That is a SERIOUS and DEADLY overlook from camping world. Since 2018 our rig has been in the shop equal time it has been home. We have a structural issue where a wood beam in the floor is broken (has been for at least 2 years) the floor is soft and bowed in where the beam is damaged and Thor will not cover it and the extended warranty camping world convinced us to spend thousands on won't cover it either. Camping world will NOT advocate for their customers despite selling their customers a vehicle riddled with flaws. Camping world service department has been a joke. Several repairs including a window that never closes properly, auto level jacks that constantly through error codes, internal wiring to the TVs flicker and disconnect frequently, making watching tv look like a strobe light... the list goes on and on, camping world attempted 3 times to fix issues. Failed to properly repair and now are charging us 700 dollars to rediagnose the issues!!!! Issues that have been documented since we purchased the unit. And the service lady told us to contact Thor directly for repairs. Why should the customer do that??? Camping world sold us the product!!!! DO NOT BUY FROM CAMPING WORLD. My complaint is with the service department of Camping World in Valencia. We purchased a Dutchman Atlas 5th wheel in Sept of last year. The salesman Brian was great. We told him of our hesitation buying there because of the poor service we had experienced in the past with our Class A Newmar Baystar. He assured us that things would be different since they had a new Service Manager. After our first vacation with the 5th wheel, we had a litany of minor things that needed to be fixed and again it took a month for the repairs to be done. We again have an issue with our water heater that is not working properly and other structural weaknesses that have surfaced. We called on 9/1/20 to make an appointment for service and were told the first available appointment was 10/27/20 - almost two months from now. This is almost as bad as trying to get an appointment with the DMV! The difference is that Camping World is a private business that should give good priority service to their customers. As I read other negative reviews regarding service, it appears corporate does not care that one of their service dealerships is so poorly managed. Since we have a trip planned the first week of November, we scheduled our appointment for 11/9/20. Let's see how long they have our trailer this time. read more

Where do I even start?.... I was in the market for a small camper trailer when I found an online ad showing the price of a trailer for a huge discounted price...I was under the assumption that they were getting rid of all the used trailers off their lot due to it being the end of the month...I went to the dealership and drove through the lot (which I guess you aren't supposed to do) but the gate was open so I drove in... I found the trailer I saw online and was happy to see it still there...I called the store (while standing next to the trailer) and asked if someone could come and show me the trailer...a salesperson came out (Rebecca, who was really the only pleasant person I dealt with at this place) and she showed us the trailer...I asked her if it was still available and she said it was...shocked that it was because it was priced really cheap, I told her I wanted it...she said ok and we went inside to write it up...now mind you the price listed online was $1500 which was slashed down from $6499...I showed her the ad on my phone and I screenshot the ad...she was shocked as well and said that she would have to show her manager "Jim Yankovich" (yes like weird Al Yankovich)... When weird Al Yankovich (Jim) came over to talk to me he was incredibly rude and told me the ad was a mistake...I told him I didn't care that I wanted it for the advertised price...we went back and forth for a few minutes and he came back with a "write up" showing I'd have to pay a "PDI/Setup fee" for $1495 plus a new battery and propane etc...I told him that was ridiculous due to the trailer only being $1500...He told me he didn't care and that I'd have to pay that "fee"....I told him I wanted to talk to corporate office because I felt like I was being ripped off on a trailer that was listed for that price that I'd have to pay a ridiculous fee like that...He told me he already talked to corporate (which was a complete lie because it was a Saturday and the corporate office is closed on weekends), so I told him I wanted to speak to whomever he talked to at corporate and he told me I'd have to come back because they are closed......Before leaving the dealership I refreshed the ad on my phone and they deleted the price and put a reduced price of "$5895" which has zero correlation with any of the prices...after seeing that they changed the price I decided to put a deposit knowing that they would try and say it was just an error and I knew they would try to not honor the price...Also being that it was Saturday and weird Al wasn't budging from his bogus price and lies I left a deposit and called corporate Monday... All said and done they wouldn't waive the BS fee which I still feel was highway robbery but on a $6500 trailer I ended up paying $3400 out the door with new batteries and 1 propane tank...I shouldn't have had to pay the ridiculous made up fee they were using to try and get me to back out of the deal...but whatever I still got what I wanted, they are just shady and liars at this place...So after I paid for the trailer I was told there was an issue with something and had to be fixed before I could take it (oh well it happens) well I sat at the dealership for 2 hours with my son and wife before they decided to come and tell me to come back Monday because it wouldn't be ready until then... Pickup day monday comes around and I didn't receive any phone calls or anything so I called around noon...Left several messages with the "service department" as well as the General Manager Scot Beyond...still never received a call back...I finally got ahold of Rebecca my salesperson and still the only person that was helpful at this crappy dealership, who told me my trailer was ready to come pick it up... Overall a terrible buying experience and I would never return to this place...they gave me a $35 gift card for my "troubles" and honestly don't even care to return to use it just so I don't have to go back to this place...When I buy my motor home I will DEFINITELY go somewhere else...I'd give this place negative stars if I could...don't go here and pay their overcharged hidden fees and nonsense prices and deal with crappy attitudes for trying to get a good deal... read more

After doing 3 months of research on the type of trailer we wanted and the amount we wanted to spend, we were happy to find exactly what we wanted at CW. With a bit of negotiation, we were able to get the trailer for much less than we expected. It pays to research. The service department did a great job preparing our hitch and trailer. When we arrived home, we had a mishap with the hitch, but Kevin and Joe were able to make arrangements to come to our house and remedy the situation within a few hours. I can't say enough about the service department. Special props to Joe, Buddy, and Kevin S. Hearing a name Camping World, your expectations are high. I've never been in one but was excited because our family was looking to purchase a new trailer. I'm not sure what the game plan is for selling but this place needs a new plan. We were assigned to a sales person. I don't know if he was socially awkward or didn't take my wife and I as serious buyers. He never asked questions to see what we were looking for. He started showing us these garbage trailers. Every trailer we walked into was dirty, had broken items, some had electrical wires hanging out of the walls and some had saw dust and wood chips from items being mounted or installed and nobody bothered to clean up after the install. Our "sales person" showed us 6 trailers and at the end of the 6th he said "and that's the last one". Granted there are tons of trailers there. My wife said "so none of these other ones are for sale?" He then says oh yeah but these are on sale for today only‍. We looked at each other and were ready to get out of there. We left. Three hours later, we were owners of a brand new 2019 trailer from another dealership. We paid $27k in cash. It was what we were looking for and not one of the cheaply made $11k trailers Camping World was trying to push on us. I never want to see a business fail. I hope Camping World can get their act together. Such a disappointing experience. read more

For one of the few times in my life, I'm on the positive end of service. I damaged my my old awning beyond repair and needed the whole assembly replaced. After doing some research and checking ratings, it was with trepidation I went into CW Valencia. I ended up ordering the new awning with hardware and was told they would call me when it came in (approx 5-6 days) so I could arrange an install date. Well after a week, I called but wasn't able to reach anyone so I drove back there. I was told the awning was back-ordered. Long story short, after 2 weeks I drove back again and was told "it just came in today." Brought it back in about 3 days later and it was installed in about 2 1/2 hours. Note, I maybe could have given them 3 stars as it did take close to an hour to get initial service writer to write up my order but overall I was happy with their repair. read more

Ended up finding a trailer that we liked she tooks us back to her office to talk price and that was the last we ever saw of her after sitting in her office for hour with young kids and no one seeming to help us figured it's time to leave. We are living a nightmare experience with Camping Wold (several location) and Thor since April 2021. We bought a new 2021 Freedom Elite in February 2021, and it had multiple manufacturing issues: defective tire, defective rails, unattached panels, fridge, and microwave, non-functioning awning, etc. We took it to Camping World for repairs in August 2021, and have not gotten it back since (this review is dated March 24, 2022.) When we went to pick it up (by appointment), in February 2022, we were told that the catalytic converter had been stolen while the RV was on the lot. Our insurance had to pay for it, and we are responsible for the $500 deductible, but they still don't have it fixed and we still don't have the RV! I have been paying for a vehicle that has not been in my possession for 7 months!! I paid $460 out of pocket for the defective tire, and none of the warranties will refund the cost. One of the managers told us that 19 catalytic converters were stolen on that lot, but this lot is fenced, it has surveillance cameras and industrial projector lights. It has been one bad chapter after another. We have felt cheated, scammed and lied to every step of th way. We reached out to their headquarters, in vain. Both companies and their affiliates are untrustworthy and their products are unreliable. Dealing with them has been a major life and financial stressor. read more

My husband and I came to Camping world in the beginning of this year looking for a trailer. We filled out a preliminary application to see where we stood with financing at that time. They were able to see the credit score without running a hard inquiry on our credit reports. We were not sure on the purchase and we really wanted a casitas trailer which they did not have in stock so we left. On Dec 1, 2019, Andrea the sales rep reached out to me and said they had a casitas in stock and if i was interested. I said yes, I asked her to give me the lowest price, interest rate, how much down, and monthly payment. She asked what my credit score was when we came in the beginning of this year. I told her. She said she would check and get back to me. She said she was going to reach out to Scott her manager and let me know. Day 2 no response, i reached out to her and asked for an update.. she said she had texted me but i never received it. She said since it was a older model they wanted a large amount down for it and so we were not sure if we wanted to go forward. We were still going back and forth with her trying to give me a better deal and did not agree on anything. Day 3 I am notified by Credit Karma and CreditWise that there is a hard inquiry made today. I asked her "who gave you permission to run a credit report on me and my husband and put a hard inquiry?" She said there was miscommunication with her and the office and she had our credit reports ran on accident. She was communicating through text with them. This was a careless mistake! I asked her to remove the inquiry and she said she could not. They are not professional in any way. I would not do business with them. They did not care that they ran our credit reports without our permission. I do not see anyone reaching out to us for this careless error and trying to fix it. I am now trying to remove the inquiry from our credit reports with the finance company and the credit bureau. This lowered our credit score and stressed me out since i am trying to keep my credit score going up not down! This is such a headache. read more

Due to the pandemic and being at higher risk due to our age, we had to take certain precautions during our visits at Camping World in Valencia which started out positive. The sales personnel were accommodating to our needs and were respectful of our predicament and they were knowledgeable, reliable, helpful and patient. The finance person whom we worked with to sign the paperwork was also helpful. The Techs who inspected the trailers and showed us how to setup and maintain the trailer was knowledgeable and very helpful also. Immediately after we made the purchase and accessories this is where Camping World fell short and the experience was very upsetting to put it nicely. The customer service department and the management personnel were horrible. The phone system was ridiculous. When the receptionist finally answers the phone and transfers you to your desired department no one answers the phone. The phone rings and rings and bounces back to the receptionist. Then they offer to call you back but never do. When you ask for management they are always too busy and when you do finally get someone they may sound helpful but that is not the case. We wanted to pickup our trailer from the vendor, the manager promised us that the trailer would be ready, we drove quite the distance to be there and on time, and the trailer was not ready. It was again promised the next day at a certain time. We were there on time at the time promised but they were not ready so we had to wait another hour, plus an additional 30 minutes until a customer service rep would even acknowledge that we were there. It was another half hour waiting for our Tech to instruct us how to hitch up the trailer. As we said after the sale, it was a very frustrating and disappointing experience. We encourage you to do your research of the vendors and read all the reviews on Yelp, before making this rather large investment. read more

My complaint is with the service department of Camping World in Valencia. We dropped off our Newmar Baystar RV on 6/13 to have the refrigerator replaced. Our service rep was Amanda Crocker. My husband kept calling and leaving messages to check on the status and rec'd no callbacks. He finally drove down to Camping World on Friday, 6/21 and was told by Zar Yuvienco, Service Advisor, that Amanda was on vacation and he had no idea what had been authorized since nothing was in the computer. He said Amanda would be back on Monday, June 24. My husband left and called back and left messages the following Monday, Tues & Wed and still no return calls from Amanda. When he explained his dilemma of not getting a call back to the receptionist on Thurs, June 27th, she said that the customers who were there in person had priority? My husband did not get priority service when he went down there in person on 6/21 to see what was going on - all he got was excuses and the brush off. After a frustrating conversation with the receptionist, my husband asked to speak to the service manager. Kevin, a manager, said he couldn't get to it that day but he would bring it out to be worked on the next day and that he would call my husband back when it was ready. My husband asked about their Saturday hours and Kevin said they were open 9-11 on Saturday. Again, no call back. My husband called on Monday and Kevin said, with an attitude, "I told you it would be ready on Saturday" and my husband reminded Kevin that he said he would call, which he never did. Bottom line - there is no follow up, communication, or professionalism. We never got any call backs (at least 7-8 unreturned calls from Amanda alone). No apologies for the lack of information and communication. As I read all the negative reviews, I wonder why corporate hasn't stepped in and made the management and technician changes needed to make this a service oriented business. The store is an embarrassment to all the Camping Worlds across the country that strive to provide exemplary service. All my husband wanted was to know what was going on. Worst service ever! Will never purchase anything from this camping world. Worst customer service ever from the manager Scott. Very disappointed with service he provided and insults being made to working class customer. Purchased trailer two months ago, taken it out twice and it's following apart. Paid $32,000 for it and Scott told my husband "well it's not like it's an $100,00 trailer". We showed Scott what was wrong with the trailer and he had an excuse for it, and again replying with it's not $100,000 trailer. My husband worst for the state as peace office, just wait till my husband shares with coworkers of the worst customer service ever and to take business else where. Scott didn't care about our concern or all the complains on yelp. Scott did say they have too many stores and don't care about reviews on yelp. Pretty much meaning our opinion and complains don't matter. They lied on Saturday, telling us they are closed when in fact they're open. Worst place ever! read more

Camping World told me if you don't buy your trailer there, even know its the same brand they sell they would not do warranty work if it needs it. There price on the same unit was $6000.00 higher so i bought it some where else. I called them for a minor warranty problem and they flat out told me they wouldn't do it. I have been a customer for 40 years, not any more, I guess picking and choosing your customers is their way of business now. Also when shopping for a trailer there, they knew nothing about there product and offered me $ 15,000 on my trade in, which was a 5th wheel that was not even a year old. That was less than 30 percent of the of the purchase price. I sold my trailer in one day for $ 40,000. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE !!!!!! read more
