My complaint is with the service department of Camping World in Valencia. We dropped off our Newmar Baystar RV on 6/13 to have the refrigerator replaced. Our service rep was Amanda Crocker. My husband kept calling and leaving messages to check on the status and rec'd no callbacks. He finally drove down to Camping World on Friday, 6/21 and was told by Zar Yuvienco, Service Advisor, that Amanda was on vacation and he had no idea what had been authorized since nothing was in the computer. He said Amanda would be back on Monday, June 24. My husband left and called back and left messages the following Monday, Tues & Wed and still no return calls from Amanda. When he explained his dilemma of not getting a call back to the receptionist on Thurs, June 27th, she said that the customers who were there in person had priority? My husband did not get priority service when he went down there in person on 6/21 to see what was going on - all he got was excuses and the brush off. After a frustrating conversation with the receptionist, my husband asked to speak to the service manager. Kevin, a manager, said he couldn't get to it that day but he would bring it out to be worked on the next day and that he would call my husband back when it was ready. My husband asked about their Saturday hours and Kevin said they were open 9-11 on Saturday. Again, no call back. My husband called on Monday and Kevin said, with an attitude, "I told you it would be ready on Saturday" and my husband reminded Kevin that he said he would call, which he never did. Bottom line - there is no follow up, communication, or professionalism. We never got any call backs (at least 7-8 unreturned calls from Amanda alone). No apologies for the lack of information and communication. As I read all the negative reviews, I wonder why corporate hasn't stepped in and made the management and technician changes needed to make this a service oriented business. The store is an embarrassment to all the Camping Worlds across the country that strive to provide exemplary service. All my husband wanted was to know what was going on. Worst service ever! Will never purchase anything from this camping world. Worst customer service ever from the manager Scott. Very disappointed with service he provided and insults being made to working class customer. Purchased trailer two months ago, taken it out twice and it's following apart. Paid $32,000 for it and Scott told my husband "well it's not like it's an $100,00 trailer". We showed Scott what was wrong with the trailer and he had an excuse for it, and again replying with it's not $100,000 trailer. My husband worst for the state as peace office, just wait till my husband shares with coworkers of the worst customer service ever and to take business else where. Scott didn't care about our concern or all the complains on yelp. Scott did say they have too many stores and don't care about reviews on yelp. Pretty much meaning our opinion and complains don't matter. They lied on Saturday, telling us they are closed when in fact they're open. Worst place ever! read more

Camping World told me if you don't buy your trailer there, even know its the same brand they sell they would not do warranty work if it needs it. There price on the same unit was $6000.00 higher so i bought it some where else. I called them for a minor warranty problem and they flat out told me they wouldn't do it. I have been a customer for 40 years, not any more, I guess picking and choosing your customers is their way of business now. Also when shopping for a trailer there, they knew nothing about there product and offered me $ 15,000 on my trade in, which was a 5th wheel that was not even a year old. Camping world advertised a Big RV Sale and since we are in the Market to buy a new RV ( Currently we own a 2005 Travel Trailer) we stopped by on our way to an appointment (we had 20/30 minutes to spare).... We walked to the RV Lot but found that the Gate was Locked. We asked a Camping World employee who was on the "Other" side of the Gate how we got in ? He told us we had to go to the Office and talk to a salesperson.... Well needless to say I wasn't ready to talk to a Salesperson, I just wanted to "Browse" the Lot and see if anything appealed to us without a possible Sales Pitch. We R regular Camping world customers and have been here many times. We decided to just leave. read more

Well this wasn't our first visit there but Camping World Valencia is the only place to get parts and supply near me. They are remodeling the inside again and the bathroom (woman) was discussing 3 toilets were clogged trash all over the floor.. also I have been applying for a job there and the manager Steve has a big problem with not hiring me and I have a lot of experience in retail..... I felt he didn't like me from the beginning...... But the point is camping world is a joke but nothing else around to buy chemicals and parts so your stuck with them...... read more

Popped in to start the process of researching RVs for a future purchase. I did not know where to begin. I walk in and it is like a giant store. I asked someone nearby if we could look at RVs and she said they are all kept locked. And that was it. No guidance at all; zero customer service. Went in and spoke with Allie the service manager, discussed what was needed, made appt to have work done once parts and ok from Keystone. Once ok and parts arrived Allie contacted me I brought unit in and everything was done in a day or two and I picked up unit. Everything was done as per conversation paid and left a happy camper. Good place to buy an RV/Trailer but the worst place to take it for repairs or if your lucky enough for you to speak to anyone in parts or service dept. I've called multiple times a day. Left messages to order a part to take my trailer for repair. The store customer service will answer and when your transferred good luck to talking to anyone. Totally diff department from sales. I spoke to one of the parts dept. associate and told him that I left numerous messages. He's response was sorry my voicemail doesn't work. Left multiple messages . What kind of shit is this. We bought our RV about 3 years ago. It is almost impossible to get a simple service, let alone get something broken fixed. Just to get a service you have to wait a month or more. Finally got it in this June and they still have it and we are in September. We missed the entire summer this year with our RV. Many trips cancelled. We can't get Amanda or anyone else to return our call regarding our RV. This isn't the first time they have kept our RV for months for a simple fix. They had it for several months the first year we had it too and we had to cancel trips. Terrible service. Biggest waste of money ever not being able to use our RV for months on end. When we finally get it back I will be shocked if they actually fixed everything. Never again. read more

Stopped today at camping world, for whatever reason a C Class rig towing a car was double parked and blocking the turn around circle. What a cluster......! I asked about the mess inside, the employee apologized, but no solution to correct it. The staff could have moved some parked trailers. It was sad to see people coming in to park so they could purchase items. Instead they were forced to disconnect tow vehicle and back out. Not Impressed! My wife and I just purchased a Columbus 5th wheel. Great great service, Hugo our salesman really went above and beyond to help us. He was never pushy and did everything we asked as far as showing us the in's and outs of every trailer he showed us. He found us the exact trailer we wanted and we are very happy with our purchase. Me am my family have visited this location twice when trying to purchase a travel trailer. Most horrible experience ever!! I've been to car dealers and rv dealers and this is by far the worst. They aren't willing to work with you and it seems like you want to purchase more than they want to sale. Two different occasions we tried to sit down and negotiate a price and never did it get done. The first time they said for our desired monthly payment we needed to look at cheaper Travel trailers, so we did, we chose one even below the amount they had said and they began the process but never gave a call back. They simply weren't interested in selling, all they want is the most money they can get out of you by asking for a big down payment. Me and my family went to Giant RV and within 1 and 20 min hour we selected a Travel trailer we wanted we told them what monthly price we wanted and the amount of down payment and they gave us such a great deal and they don't include a whole bunch of fees like Camping world does. I'm extremely glad we didn't purchase from them because our is experience with Giant Rv at Downey was worth the wait! read more

I had bought a washer/dryer combo unit here about 2 years ago it is a vent less machine. after the first year it stopped drying, I called Camping world and it was as if I were speaking a different language. their heads were so far up their butt they had no clue. I decided to fix it myself, learned a lot with u-tube videos and calling other RV repair shops. so I fixed it. the next year came and it happened again, after I trouble shot the machine I found the dryer blower motor had died. Camping World would not order me the part. They did offer to LOOK at it for $150.00 an hour. I said no thanks. after doing a lot of research I found that Dometic is hard to find parts for. the washer was still operational, so we decided to keep it as a washer only. we decided to but a vented stackable 24" dryer. Camping World had a Splendid on sale on their website. saved about $200.00, I ordered the dryer and the vent kit. I ordered it the day before Thanksgiving. waited till the following Monday to see if it shipped. they sent me one e-mail with shipping status and tracking number, when I went to track it with UPS it showed up as not being picked up yet. After I called UPS they explained that Camping World failed to call them to pick it up. I then called Camping World, explained the situation to this one customer service guy named Chase, He did good, he got the ball rolling, he did fail to call, text or email me to give me a current status of my merchandise. Wednesday I received my vent kit, I installed it that same day. Thursday I received the new dryer, I installed it and washing cloths in about 1 1/2 hours. the dryer and vent kit are working great. I Gave them 2 stars thanks to Chase (good, not great) customer service, great sale price for a good product, and getting it to me in one piece. ( the truck carrier service delivery guy should be reprimanded for the unsafe practice of caring my dryer above his head for 20 feet, instead of properly using a dolly or even back support or harness.) its not a muscle building contest, its a service that they should be providing with the customers bought and paid for merchandise, not their own property. no respect to the customer.) read more

This place lacked customer service. I came in to purchase a RV. 40k down and financing another 30k with a 800 credit score . Literally walked around for an hour and not one person asked if I needed help. I asked Ron for a sales person he pointed to the building and said you have to go in there and walked away !!! What a joke . The correct way to handle a customer is common sense which this place obviously lacks! Perhaps an "excuse me mam, let me get an associate to assist you" or how about a hello or acknowledgement that I am a interested customer . I suppose this place makes too maybe money and doesn't need to sell any of the RVs it has on its lot. People should be treated with respect and common curtesy when spending money in your establishment . I now get why they do not have 5 stars ! Terrible business manners ! Opened the box and the whole thing was mangled!! But since the box has been opened we cannot exchange or return!! We couldn't have known it was damaged without opening the box! I bought a brand new trailer from camping world Valencia about 3 years ago and I have had nothing but problems with the trailer. I've taken it in approximately 10 times for things that have broken on the trailer in the last 3 years. What makes it even worse is that camping worlds service is even worse than the products they sell. Recently I took my trailer in because the propane line was leaking. They had it for over a week and never called me to tell me the trailer was ready, I had to call them and when I did they said the trailer had been fixed but they were now storing it at their offsite storage lot so I couldn't even pick it up when I wanted to. When I got my trailer home the propane line was leaking worse than when I had brought it in to camping world. The worst part was I called them immediately and no one answered. I left a message and called back several times over the next few days and I was never able to speak to a manager even after leaving several messages. It took me 3 weeks to finally speak to a manager and the only reason I was able to speak with a manager was because I went into the store in person and waited for the manager. This is not the first time I have had issues with the service at camping world, it's every time something is wrong with my trailer their service is terrible. I would avoid buying anything from camping world, they have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I wish I would have listened to people I know that had purchased trailers from camping world before I did because they all had the same complaints about their service that I now have. Whatever you do, do not purchase your trailer from camping world or have it serviced there, you will regret it. read more

They were and continue to be a pleasure to work with. I am a first time RVer and I feel grateful to have the support of this team and others at Camping World and with Good Sam membership. Lucia was wonderful at showing the trailers and answering questions and finding answers when needed and staying on top of communication through the process. Jim and Steve helped me through the financing and the full sale and communicated well with my bank and Aldo is just the best technician with his thorough knowledge, expertise, training skills and patience, and advice. I have a feeling that people who work there enjoy it and therefore can deliver the best collaborative experience in purchasing and owning an RV or trailer. PARTS DEPT I purchased my trailer there in summer of 2018 and received decent service despite the mandatory prep fee on a brand new unit. I even was convinced by salesperson to buy the extended warranty. Last Monday, 6/29/20, a gear pack on on my slideout broke. Service told me that i needed to wait almost a month to schedule a warranty repair on it. Being i had a trip scheduled for the 4th of July weekend, i decided i would repair it myself. I called parts dept, waited on hold for 20 mins, then i was asked for my info and someone would call me back. I waited 3 hours and i called back only to get voicemail. Left another message asking for parts availability. No call back after another 2 hours. So i drove an hour to their location and took the part with me. I waited in line for 30 mins and was helped by Eddie P, Product Specialist. He tells me he needs the trailer info even after i hand him the actual broken part. i inform him i purchased the trailer there and he proceeds to find the info needed in their system. Eddie P tells me they don't stock it but that he will give me a call once he finds it and can order it. I let him know that i have a trip that weekend. He acknowledges and promises to do his best and call me with a delivery date. Needles to say, it is the Monday after my trip and still waiting for a return call from the lady who took my info originally, from the voicemail i left, and still waiting on product specialist EDDIE P, to return my call. Thankfully this lack of service was very apparent right from onset. I was able to order the part from AMAZON that evening and have it by 11am the next morning. When in need of RV parts, i suggest Product specialist AMAZON. read more

If I could I would give this place negative stars! The service department is the absolute worst they keep your trailer for months with no updates. I have called numerous times including everyday this week and have had to leave voicemails that have not been returned, as I am writing this I was placed on hold for 25 minutes then hung up on. I just want to know the status of my trailer that was in for a few warranty fixes all which were fixed a month ago except the generator. When we purchased the trailer we bought the extended warranty so we could take it ANYWHERE besides Camping World but everyone we called won't cover there warranty which again shows how horrible of a place this is! Scott the manager is a nice friendly guy, but nice managers do not get repairs done on RVs. We made an appointment to have a new windshield resealed; originally incorrectly sealed at the top causing leaking. We showed up for the appointment at 8:00 am today as planned. We talked to Scott a week previous and he knew we were coming from Visalia, CA. He talked like he had made arrangements with the glass company to fo the job; everything was a go. But Monday morning at 8:000 no servicemen showed up to do the job. I do not know who is responsible for this, but it smacks of incompetence. We are waiting. read more

I have consistently been disappointed over the years by Camping World. They can fix your RV... but it's terribly painful and frustrating to go thru the process with them. I called to try and schedule my awning replacement and got lost in the phone system and then when I called back the service department never picked up... I don't know why I even try... last time I purchased a replacement couch that was suppose to take 4-6 weeks to arrive... it was never released for the order and when I followed up all they would do is cancel the order... camping world has cool stuff but it is frustrating... I'm done trying and have reached out to other businesses!!! read more

I have been an RV owner for 20 years. I now have a 40' diesel pusher and have only done regular maintenance in the past on this coach. Last trip I had an awning break from the wind so I brought my coach in to #Camping World, Valencia for repair. Decided to do shocks, oils, AC maintenance and a new 3 way camera during the visit. Wrote the order and left the coach. 2 weeks later I get a call that they ordered the wrong awning and that they are going to charge me another $400+ for the camera install. I came in to discuss and the service department wanted to drill holes through my dash and leave all the holes from the existing camera on the overhead because the dash install was easier. The advertisement does not say that the overhead camera replacement is not applicable for the $39 install promotion, but that's what they decided they would do to what I think was to avoid the work. And when I said that I did not want to pay the extra $400, so cancel the camera and I would live with the existing one, they tried to charge me a fee to restock. Then I go to pick up my coach and they had left it out in a dirt lot across town, it was filthy and I had just had cleaned and waxed before dropping to them. Joe from the parts department just walked away from me while we were talking and was very rude. All this and the manager who waived the restocking fee, never even came out to talk to me. Lowered the service ticket from over $4K to $1500 and could have cared less. I am ashamed to say that this place has gone downhill and fast! I have been going to CW for a long time as a Newhall resident and will now not recommend this place for any service work. The store still has a lot of items for camping and I will still buy from the store. . I used Metro RV many years ago, so I guess I'll see if Jesse at Metro can repair my awning and replace my camera. read more

Camping World dealership Newhall CA, we bought an RV from the Pomona RV show,.. What a joke! The most dishonest people we've ever deldt with! They took us off the market at the show by giving us a bogus deal they KNEW they couldn't do! We sat down with the sales rep and finance rep after running our credit and agreeing on a deal, purchase price, interest rate, trade in and monthly payment, we were assured that they deal was good, we received a "purchase agreement" and then shook hands, was told congratulations. We set a date to go to the dealership in 2 weeks to sign the contract and turn in our trade, we took the Rv for a test drive, and they put a sold sticker on the RV. We left very happy, told all of our friends and family about this great RV we bought. Sounds great right?! 6 days later, my husband called the dealership since they didn't call us to follow up on this $80,000 purchase, only to be told by the same financial rep that made this deal with us, that the deal changed,.. Everything changed!! The down payment they wanted$12,000 more down payment, interest went up, and monthly payment went up even with more down payment WTH! He came down a little on the down payment but not nearly enough, he blamed the banks for the deal changing, blamed the sales guy we worked with because he worked at the Mesa AZ dealership it wasn't one of their sales rep, and that the rep should have told us that this was not a binding contract, repeatedly said "it was only a purchase agreement, it wasn't a binding contract" which we knew we would still need to sign a binding contract at the dealership. He was not fazed by the fact that this was extremely upsetting to us. Needless to say we did not make a deal, and I would Not buy an RV from this dealership EVER! Sneaky, shady, and dishonest. I've used Camping World now & then. I've owned three RVs over 20 years- two class A and the current class C. In the past 2 months I've had them do about $1k work on my 2008 Tioga class C in preparation for several extended trips. I've noticed a disturbing trend - the Up-Sell. The service dept *and* the service tech repeatedly pressured me to get a roof "maintenance " $750+ on a 2 year old RV? This was NOT necessary....ouch! I had them install a new chassis battery and went on a 3K trip. Battery went completely DEAD 4 weeks after returning home. I had it on my charger- and it would not charge beyond half way- not enough to start it. Had to have a friend pull it so I could take the battery back (90 mile RT). The service writer (Dena) puts "customer changed mind" on return slip ( no mention that it failed or was bad). Tells me that the problem was MY RV . But funny this was never a problem with the old battery prior to the replacement. Even dead- it charged and started the RV. Dena tells me that they "never have problems with these batteries" . But the worst part is while I was waiting for her to complete my transaction she takes numerous long, involved phone calls, plays around with other (male) employees - UGH, repeatedly "helps" other employees complete their client's jobs, and generally goofs off while I'm waiting at the counter. I never complained while I was there because the two managers supposedly "On" = one was off ( on a Friday?) and the other was at lunch (3 pm?) so could not sign off my exchange. More waiting. A visit that should have taken maybe 20 min- took an hour. Two visits & dealing with Dena's shenanigans have exasperated me to no end. I can take my RV service needs elsewhere, right? read more

I'm a Huge Camping World fan and member of everything Camping World. If you're searching for a new RV, this dealership doesn't make it easy. Initial contact by phone was very disappointing. The rep knew nothing. There were only two sales reps onboard this WEEKEND who were busy with other customers. Leaving my contact information was almost impossible. I'm not sure if I was calling someone on Earth? VERY BAD INITIAL CONTACT! I'm going to another dealer who has what I want, knows the products they offer and can show it to me today. Mark our salesman was great. Sweet guy, helpful, and didn't pressure us. The 2 stars are for Tony in financing. A total waste of time. The next morning and the day after, we get call after call and long email threads going back and forth of things we need in order to get approved by the bank. Why didn't you give us a checklist of things needed when we were with you? or told us what to have available for them the next day? Seems like all staff is ready to kick you out and go home ASAP because no one will take the time with you. Oh, and the bank is "on the East Coast" so they can't submit after 1pm. Us working full time, Mon.-Fri., I usually don't have my paystub and W-2 on me. Am I crazy? Help us be prepared. It's annoying, stressful, and frustrating. This review will be updated accordingly. 1/31-Had an appointment on 31JAN17 @ 1000 with Ray. I arrived a little before nine and was seen right away AFTER I asked another service rep (who was playing on their phone) if he was in. I walked up to his cubicle where Ray was taking notes from a voicemail. He greeted me courteously and said it would be no trouble taking my coach in early. As a matter of fact, he appreciated it. He took down my info, was very attentive and professional. My 2017 Bullet is in for a leaky toilet seal and a glass stove cover that won't stay up, and the radio keeps turning on while it's in storage. The parts for the stove were sent to me by Suburban, the makers of the stove, and they are in the coach. As far as the radio is concerned, Ray offered to price a battery disconnect so that all of the power would be disconnected while in storage but didn't provide a real solution. No worries. Ray gave me the disclaimer that they all must give in regards to parts. Pretty much it's a crap shoot. Also he stated that if I needed my coach before my next outing, 25Feb, I could come get it but that he didn't think it would take that long to be fixed. In all, not a bad first impression. 2/5- Late entry. I ended up calling Ray after two days had gone by on February 2nd. He said he would call but like all dealership service departments that I've dealt with, they never do. This one is no different. He gave be the rundown of all the repairs that had been performed. The toilet "bulb" valve was installed incorrectly and therefore the rubber seal was unable to hold water in the bowl. Also, the glass cover on the stove was now installed properly. I made an appointment for 9am on February 3rd to pick up my coach. I showed up at 0830 to find that Ray was busy with another customer. No problem as I had items i wanted to purchase from the store which I did so. It was about 9 and Ray was still busy with the same customer. Not a big deal, I went to the lounge to wait which was being cleaned. A bit of advice if you are the store manager, clean the night before so that in the morning all you have to do is vacuum and re-stock ;). Ray came and got me after a while and we went out to my coach to look at the repairs. The toilet had water in it still so that I could see that it was holding water. I still poured a bottle of water in the bowl myself just for peace of mind. I looked at the glass and the left side of the stove needed a little bit more adjusting. Ray got a tech from the bay and they fixed it right up. In all this was a not a bad experience but the repairs were minimal. Other folks have not been so lucky. All i can say is that with places like this, patience is really a virtue due to their high volume of business. If you want a more personalized repair experience, I recommend an independent shop. Hopefully you sprung for the Elite membership and don't mind paying out the $100 deductible. Good luck all. Cheers! read more

No stars, left my coach there waiting to be serviced under Good Sams warranty. They moved my coach into their overflow dirt lot, March 31st someone broke into their lot and broke into my coach and ran sacked the interior. Stole all the electronics, clothing and even took our food and some other Very expensive items. Camper world still treated me like they did not care, local sheriffs seem to think my coach was targeted , as they drove past 20 other high dollar rigs to break into mine. I am grateful and impressed with Camp Word Newhall/Valencia. We, my Mother and I were in desperate need of a trailer. I am in remission from leukemia and 14 month bone marrow transplant recipient. My mother is over 70 and a breast cancer survivor. My son is working covid 19 front line in the tents outside of hospital ER He could no longer be in my home and could not bunk in my mothers home. Both of us having a compromised immune system. This Covid 19 had us scrambling. I got a call from Richard explained our situation. He was just awesome and so helpful. Rebecca Macuk then got involved and went beyond what could be expected.Rebecca was very knowledgeable and honest. I can't express how kind Camp world staff treated us. so sick of your awful customer service!! we bought a trailer from them 3 months ago....that was the only day they were decent.........afterwards....they were still rude jerks. rv people are usually in there 50's with $$$ to spend. how dumb are you guys??? stop ignoreing these complaints and do something about your nasty employees!! how many complaints do need about the rude sales womens at the checkout? (reminds me of the bill cosby bs!!) you continue to ignore us. why? check-out gal was nasty to me as well......i was shocked. she was mad because i wanted to pay in two transactions instead of one. what does it matter to her? bakersfield-camping world is a class act. exceptional service, so nice and clean. the selection is enormous and there are......actual people that say, "can i help you find something". never will you be asked this at valencia camping world. read more

I've been going to this Camping World for several years and have had mostly positive experiences. In sales, I worked with Jimmy and had the best sales experience I've ever had purchasing anything. It took me 1.5 years looking around and finally purchasing a 5th wheel, Jimmy was patient throughout and I never felt pressure. The service at the counter for buying odds and ends is usually hit or miss, but that's any store you ever go to. read more
