No stars, left my coach there waiting to be serviced under Good Sams warranty. They moved my coach into their overflow dirt lot, March 31st someone broke into their lot and broke into my coach and ran sacked the interior. Stole all the electronics, clothing and even took our food and some other Very expensive items. Camper world still treated me like they did not care, local sheriffs seem to think my coach was targeted , as they drove past 20 other high dollar rigs to break into mine. Word is it was an employee there that knew what we had inside DO NOT EVER LEAVE YOUR RV AT CAMPING WORLD AS THEY HAVE SOME BAD EMPLOYEES THAT WILL TAKE YOUR ITEMS. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE , THEY DO NOT CARE THAT THIS EVEN HAPPENED Final Touch Coach Works is the place in Santa Clarita to have your RV repaired, they have been so nice to us in getting our coach all fixed back up. read more

We bought our trailer a year ago from this place and upon opening our slide almost a year in with about 6 camping trips in total, the slide ripped the floor open! We took it to camping world where they said they would submit it to keystone and get it fixed. Keystone said that when they submitted the floor it didn't need to be replaced so to do what ever they felt needed to be done and gave them 10 man hrs with $$$ to fix it. Camping world said they did the full review and fixed the problem. We took the coach out and the first time we opened the slide it ripped back open. We brought it back to camping world and for over 30 days we kept going in and checking in and the service people kept saying that they've been trying to get a hold of keystone and no one is returning calls and it's being reviewed in their shop etc. well after the 30 days of nothing being done and driving around the lot and NOT seeing my trailer, I found out my coach has been in storage and hasn't moved or been touched in 30 days. I also called Keystone and found out that camping world hasn't even reached out or told them that our coach was back in the shop. So, I called camping world and asked why I've been being lied to and they said That they thought it was being handled and would get it looked at right away. Well, now after a month of my coach sitting there they finally do what they should of to begin with and pull the slide where the tear is coming from and tell me it's camping worlds fault for not inspecting it properly before the sale and that the slide wasn't on the right track and keeps ripping it open (manufactured error). They said they will fix it and submit the claim to keystone. A week goes by and they say they are waiting on keystone. I call keystone and they read me the notes on how camping world said they were NOT going to submit it because it's their problem and they should of handled it properly to begin with. So they "fix" it and the manager says he will reimburse us for the month lost for our troubles. He says, make a trip back here so we can go through the coach together and have a meeting with the everyone involved and get this worked out so we are all on the same page. So we pick up our son and take time out to go back there AGAIN just to have only 2 of the people available. We go walk the trailer and my husband says "you open it because if it breaks again I don't want to be responsible" and sure enough they open it and the underneath rips open AGAIN!!! The inside from removing the slide is half assed nailed in and looks like crap. We exit and what do they do they TAPE the underneath and say there it's fixed. Now remember that they were paid in the beginning for 10 man hours... well they used 6 and pocketed the rest and then have the balls to say to us "well now we used that extra money so it's fine". I tell the manager that I don't believe anything he says and my trailer isn't fixed and isn't fine so he says he retracts the month payment he was going to give us and his legal team will be contacting us in a day or so. At the end of all of it they blamed it on Keystone saying they didn't clean the trailer after install and it's probably from their debris that they didn't clean. It's been a month and a half and not only do I not have a trailer but Now have a completely upside down crappy trailer!!!! Beware of this place and the lies they feed you! Do your research and ask questions if you canT get a hold of anyone. We had to show up to get answers and were still screwed over in the end. read more

We purchased an order thru them that needed to be delivered. They refused to follow through their promise to get it delivered on time. They hung up on us on the phone as well; real professional carnies. I would go there to purchase a small accessory for your recreational vehicle, but I definitely would not buy anything substantial there. With such a low level or service at the retail section, I would never venture into their service department or RV sales. Once they correct the problems that they were supposed to fix correctly the first time we took our trailer to them, I will NEVER return to their service department. Hubby took our RV out for servicing 7/8/14- awning repair, stair welding, wash/wax/detail, generator oil changed, and vent cover installation. Jerry, the guy that runs the detail department was leaving on vacation the next day, and due to the timing of the other repairs, he was only able to wash the RV and scheduled for a full detail/waxing/buffing the next morning. So, after Jerry leaves, two of his workers approached my husband saying "Cancel the detail with the service writer and we will do it for $200 bucks (versus the $345 it was going to be). All other work was complete, so hubby stays overnight to get the detailing done the next morning. Upon "sleeping" on it, he figures out that 1 If I do the deal with the employee (thieves), I would literally be stealing from Jerry/Camping World, especially because they would be using Jerry's/Camping World's polish equipment and products ......... and: 2) If I don't do their side deal, I will get a crappy job done, and still pay $345. Hubby decides to tell the service writer what's gone down, and completely opts out of the detailing. Hopefully, the employee thieves are no longer employed there, and hopefully Jerry and Camping World management will keep a better eye on their operations. As a side note, all the servicing was done very quickly, and the only complaint is that we were charged $60.00 to change the generator oil, which was a total rip off. Tired of calling & waiting & waiting & playing phone tag with the buttons. Trying to reach the parts department. I''ll go to another RV supply place now & in the future. There are several in this area including WalMart right next door if you only need some odds & ends. Also, about 3 months ago I made an appointment in the service dept for them to install a trailer brake controller & when we got there they had no record of our appointment. I'd written down the person's name with whom I made the appointment so that helped her remember me because we'd spent some time on the phone during the appointment scheduling. read more

A few weeks ago I had the rudest cashier I've ever dealt with at camping world. They forgot to take down a sale price tag on an outside mat, and cashier was upset when another associate checked and agreed that they forgot to take the sign down. He told the cashier to honor the price and was upset they gave me the sale price. My mom and myself were shocked of the attitude and would not make eye contact and just handed me my receipt. I purchased a 2016 toyhauler from these guys and was happy with my salesman at the rv show. As soon as they got my signed purchase agreement everything changed, every bit of the transaction after this point was a huge hassle, several phone calls and messages left with no return calls, my trailer was delivered a complete mess after i was told that it would be gone through with a fine tooth comb. I asked for a service manual to be included with trailer because they provide zero information on maintenance(still must be in the mail). John the sales manager is a horrible person to deal with. Now my trailer needs warranty work and guess what, im back to my phone calls being unanswered. Avoid this place like the plague. You would think after spending 80k on a rv they would like to keep their customers happy this is obviously not the case. read more

Purchased Thor Freedom Elite FE 24. I wish I had bought it somewhere else. The salesman told me that if you purchase it from Camping World I could have warranty service at any Camping World. Get home and find out stabilizer on driver side won't work. I call salesman and he says I can take it to La Mirada store for warranty repair. We drive it there the service dept says they can't work on it. I have to take it back to dealer in Valencia. I would not have bought the RV from Valencia if I knew they were this dishonest. It is a 2 1/2 hour drive 1 way. I would have bought a thor rv at a dealer closer to me. I have had this RV for only a month. Do not buy your RV from Camping World. RUN AWAY!!!! I bought my travel trailer here back in 2008. The service was bad and it only got worse when we went in to negotiate the terms of the lending. The guy kept trying to hike up our rate...which from what I know now is because they make money on every percent they increase on the rate. Well you live and you learn. We also had to end up spending a bunch of money on fixing a microwave that did not work and the crummy stove. Brand new trailer and they sold it to us with not everything operating correctly. Fast forward to a month ago. My husband and I went back in to look into upgrading our travel trailer to a newer , larger version. We walked the lot and no one offered to help us. We finally walked through the main office and the salesmen did not even get up from their chairs to greet us or ask if we needed help. I had to approach one salesman to say we could not find what we were looking for and offer to leave our information in case one came on the lot. A month went by and nothing. I than called their office to ask about selling or trading in our trailer and to ask them if a travel trailer came on the lot meeting our specifications. The man I talked to was a total jerk! He was rude, disrespectful, and nasty to me on the phone. Than he proceeded to tell me that no one ever followed up with us because the salesman I left my info with before was not working there any longer. Well that is nice to know they are doing well enough to blow off potential repeat customers. He told me my trailer was only worth $6500 even though I had an retail price from NADA that estimated my trailer at $13,000. Of course he will buy it from us for $6500.... so they can make a killer profit, and I have to eat $6000. He proceeded to get even nastier with me and told me a bank would never secure a loan on that trailer for that price anyway. I am leaving out a lot of the conversation because all it consisted of was this man talking down to me and being nasty. I wish I wrote down his name because he was a real jerk but I was so upset I forgot to. I than called the bank my trailer loan is through (Bank of the West) and they pulled up the value of the trailer from NADA themselves. They confirmed my travel trailer is worth $13,000 and they would do an 80/20 loan on it (they fund 80%, 20% down from the buyer). This just confirmed that the guy from Camping world was a snake. The bank informed me that if I am wanting to buy another trailer, they would definitely do another loan for me and that I go to them to secure the funding first than try to set up the loan at the dealership. They will give a better rate (so all of you guys know there is another option). Long story short, I will never buy another travel trailer or RV from Camping World. Bad, unethical service! Brought our new RV here to have the grey water valve repaired. It has been very stiff to open and close since we got the RV 3 months ago. Arrived for our appointment at 08:30 at 12pm we were told that the RV was ready and that they would need to order a new valve from Winnebago. We returned to the RV only to find that the valve was completely broken and no longer possible to use. We live in our RV so it is not feasible to wait until a part arrives from Winnebago. NO GREY WATER!!!!! After some discussion they agreed to replace the valve with a generic one. It is now 1:15pm and we are waiting for the tech to get back from lunch so he can repair the valve he broke. They assure us the new valve, although generic, will be covered by Winnebago warranty. I wonder?? During this time nobody has offered an apology nor a drink. Very very poor service. read more

STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY! This facilities employees and especially their management are the biggest crooks I have ever met. I bought an onan p4500i inverter generator from this location mainly just to support a local business since I am a business owner myself vs buying the same product cheaper from a different business online. Upon Un boxing this generator a few things caught my attention from the get go that was out of place. The generator had a couple of stripped screws on it, The engine cover plastic was deformed, The engine was almost full of oil, there was half a tank of gas in the generator and the digital hour gauge stated that it already had 1 hour on the generator itself. I quickly realized that this was a used generator they had sold me in place of a new one So I quickly contacted the store and spoke to the store manger (John ragosea) and asked if I could simply switch it out for another one that had not been used since I paid almost $1200 for it. He quickly denied all responsibility and said he could not help me out even though they knew and it was clear that they had sold me a used unit! I contacted their corporate office and filed a complaint which did not go anywhere either and I just got the runaround instead. A different store manager by the name of (Ashley zruenenfelder) from the same location called me and asked me about my situation which I thought she would help me out but all she did was deny all responsibility, give me an attitude and hung up the phone on me after I asked her what her employee I'd was in which she refused to provide before she hung up the phone. She also lie to me and said The generator having 1 hour on the digital gauge is normal which I know that's completely BS Because 2 of my Buddies bought the same generator and unboxed it in front of me and the digital hour gauge said 0000 where as mine said 0001. This is exactly why physical stores like these are shutting down throughout the country and Amazon is taking over. I wish I stuck to my gut feeling and bought it through Amazon since they are much more genuine and easier to deal with. I HOPE THESE CROOKS CLOSE DOWN! I will take this up to my attorney just so I could expose their scam!!! Last but not least when you call camping world's corporate office the COE has an automated recording that says if you're not happy im not happy which is really just a gimmick because I clearly addressed my concern and my frustrations but did not go anywhere. I hope this review serves well to other potential customers so they don't fall into a trap like I did with these crooks!!! read more

So just to update on our experience at Camping World. For the same hose that Camping World wanted to charge us $30 for 10 feet. At a 10 ft minimum, we got at Simi Valley RV for $1 and change per foot, and you could get whatever length you wanted. So since we only needed 4 feet, it was under $7.00. Go to Simi Valley RV. Camping world Valencia has rotten customer service and is lacking in management!!!!! I want to replace the awning on my RV. Simple right?? After 3 days and well over a dozen phone calls to the Valencia store I have yet to talk to anyone who can simply schedule me an appointment. I was promised twice a call back with in 2 hours and still nothing...... When I call the store IF I get to talk with a live person they play the transfer game until eventually my call is cut off. I don't think I should have to fight so hard to give anyone my business. I was ready to spend some money on a new awning as well as join the good sam's club. After fighting for 3 days just to get my foot in the door and make an appointment witch I still have not spoken with any one who is capable of doing thatI am taking my business to benchmark in Sun Valley, I have heard a lot of good things and made an appointment on the first phone call. I gave the three stars because The guy that helped us was nice. Didn't know to much about the RVs he was selling, but a nice guy nonetheless. I went out a week ago with the family to look at a travel trailer. I have two little ones so I am in the market for a hybrid or something with bunks. I chose this location because it had at least versions of all the models I was looking for. With the research I did in a few days I knew more than he did about his inventory when I started asking questions. I gave him my contact info and when we were done said we had decided on a Hybrid. Now maybe I am a little naive in thinking he would follow up so after a few working days I sent him an email. I told him that I was interested in purchasing from them since they had multiple locations and asked him how much for a model of trailer he said that he could get. Nothing! I bought my RV from CW in June and had a great sales experience with Larry. Had done my research and got the price I was looking for. There was a couple things needing to be fix and they stated they would order the parts. I knew it would take a while so I waited to hear. Fast forward two trips and a hydraulic line busted on my rig the day before a big trip. I called the manufacturer and they said the dealer never ordered the parts I needed and he doubted the line could be fixed in a day. Vacation was looking like it was over before we started. I stopped by CW to find out about the parts and wishing beyond hope that a the line could be fixed although the chance was slim to none. Kevin the service manager let me know up front he was booked up and prob couldn't do it. He did see if he had the part on hand but didn't. I explained we were leaving out of town and after talking about options he sent a tech out look at the problem just to confirm the issue. Julian was awesome. He found the broken line. Here is where customer service goes from good to great. The had a custom line made that day for my rig and Julian stayed late to get it fix! Vacation saved! The normal warranty fix would have been 4 to 6 weeks. Kevin and I agreed to talk after my trip for rest of the parts. I have no doubts the rest of issues on the rig will be fixed right with Kevin in charge and techs like Julian. I think customer service is almost a forgotten skill. From everything I have seen CW of Valenica the customer needs first and foremost. Good job guys! read more

They are the punchline to a very bad joke when it comes to service. People usually only comment when they get BAD service. That is why Camping World of Valencia has so many reviews. I called Camping World and made a roof repair appointment with their roof guy and an express services appointment. A week and a half later, i take my RV in for my 8am appointment. I wait for 20 mins, before I force my way into talking with a service guy who tells me they don't do roof repairs. Um...what? TRYING to be patient, I ask for their express service while I have made the inconvenient trip for nothing. They ask what I want done. The EXPRESS SERVICE, is listed on their website! THAT is what I wanted done. They look under my hood about replacing the aux battery and refuse to touch it so they won't be held liable for additional damages. WASTE OF TIME. I bought a Starcraft trailer from them at the LA RV show. The unit they had on display had an access door on the right rear side of the trailer. When I picked up my trailer, there was no access door to that storage area. A bait and switch tactic. When I called Starcraft, they said it was a rolling production change and there is nothing they can do. Starcraft does not stand behind their product, and Camping World sees nothing wrong with this type of deception. read more

First of all, they never answer the call and won't call you back even you leave a message. It is so hard to get hold of anybody from service department. Their repair job is not the great either. I used their service twice, but I had to bring back my RV for same problem both times. If it wasn't for the warranty service for my RV purchased from Campingworld, I would have gone somewhere else. Lots of bad reviews which is why I'm taking the time to give a good review! Everybody we worked with was awesome and friendly. We bought a new class A about a month ago. The RV sales people, store sales and also service department have been great. We had to take the RV back for what ended up being an issue with a hidden breaker, and the service dept was fast and helpful. The one star deduction was because I wish the sales person showing us the RV spent more time with us on the outside of the vehicle (more specifically the storage compartments). The setup for storage is so incredibly bad... We might have considered a different vehicle in the long run. Our NEW RV won't even fit camping chairs In the storage. You get one okay size bin and you have to pick between a small BBQ, cooler or 2 medium size chairs. The fun reclining chairs won't fit at all. We find ourselves storing dirty equipment inside the vehicle which sucks. I only deducted 1 star because we ourselves should have known better... But we did tell them this was our first RV read more

I purchased a dish playmaker and a receiver from these clowns. Well it stopped working when I used both TVs. Was on the phone with dish twice and was told to take it to camping world to have a diagnostic done on it. Now we are talking about a system that is a little over a month old. So I call camping world they tell me that I need an apartment and I have to pay for it. I also find out they don't take back "electronics or defective items". Huh?? So you can sell them but everything thing is as is? Unbelievable! So after talking to a manager waiting on hold multiple time that added up to 1/2 hour of my life I'll never get back the servic department doesn't answer the phone thus I can't make an appointment. Worst customer service possible. Several messages left and no calls returned. Charged us $1,000 for an inspection (insisted we had no choice but to take and pay for it) and didn't inspect anything - TV didn't work, bathroom fan didn't work, kitchen exhaust fan didn't work, didn't have keys for the trailer, didn't have a black-water drain line... If we could have found this particular trailer somewhere else, we would not have used them at all. Awful... AWFUL!! read more

Norcold (RV refrigerator manufacturer) contacted me a year ago about a serious recall on my frig. I contacted CW Valencia and they ordered the part. I called many times to be told it was not there. After about three months they claimed to have no knowledge of me or the part. Norcold pressed me for the repair even calling me once a week for the last three months. PROPS TO NORCOLD. I explained how CW jacked me around last year so they got on the phone with CW and assured me that they would handle it free of charge, half hour job, no problem right?. I made an appointment for 11am Friday March 29th 2013, took a vacation day to do it. I arrived at 10:30am, they took my key and pulled the coach in the garage. I had been sitting in the waiting room for nearly two hours. When I returned from a restroom break I saw my Bounder sitting in the parking lot. Great I thought, done at last. I went to the counter where I was told there was a problem. It would take two hours to pull the refrigerator and someone had to pay. They told me they contacted Fleetwood, the mfg of the motorhome and they refused to pay. They told me they then contacted Norcold and was waiting on their approval. They told me Norcold never approves these charges so I would have to pay $235 to have the "FREE RECALL" completed. I called BS on them, dialed Norcolds number and low and behold they were closed for the day. Good Friday, closed early? No way they called them. I was turning red and ready to really let the guy that was standing there lying to me about calling Norcold have an earfull. I told them to get the friggin service manger while I made a couple more calls. When I came back in they told me the service manager out of the goodness of his heart was now going to cover it. Two hours later, 3pm, after sitting there for 4 1/2 hours I finally left with my Bounder repaired a thirty minute job turned into all day. At least I can sleep at night without worring about burning up. Thanks Camping World. I get the feeling that someone with less intestinal fortitude would have written the check. CAMPING WORLD: IF YOU CARE AT ALL (SERIOUSLY DOUBT IT) YOU CAN FIND ME EASILY. I HAVE A 2002 FLEETWOOD BOUNDER WITH A FRESH RECALL ON THE FRIG. MY APPOINTMENT WAS 11am Friday March 29th 2013. CHECK YOUR RECORDS, GIVE ME A CALL. BTW I HAVE SPENT MANY DOLLARS AT THIS STORE SINCE I BOUGHT THE BOUNDER EIGHT OR NINE YEARS AGO. Maybe I am missing something. Look I would not be so upset except they agreed to do this job in a conference call with Norcold and totally blew me off the first attempt last year.
