First, let me say I have never taken the time to review any purchase on line. My wife and I purchased a Coleman Travel Trailer from Camping World in Roseville on mid March. We took it out on its Maiden Voyage last weekend and the refrigerator/freezer was not working correctly. We used an Ice chest for the trip (not the world's biggest problem). After returning home I called to schedule a service appointment and was told that I could be seen on the 29th of the month. Today is the 5th. After expressing my dissatisfaction with this the Service Advisor moved the date to the 24th. I should go three weeks without the ability to enjoy a brand new trailer? I find spending over $30,000 and then being effectively told that my trailer is unusable for three or more weeks to be totally unacceptable. To bad that the Service Department is not as eager as the Sales Department. I am totally turned off by Camping World of Roseville. read more

Disereé & her team were absolutely great! A pleasure to talk with she picked out every possible issue as I explained my concerns. Patient, knowledgeable, resourceful & insightful! I didn't catch the name of the Tech assigned to my rig, but he was thorough & efficient. Thinking out loud as I spoke, he too listed out several things he'd check as I explained what was wrong. They both gave me timely updates as things progressed, so I just relaxed. Desireé (even the 2 other Advisors not assigned to me) made me feel oddly... important. Strange, I know, but I mean, even the 2 women in the back office possessing the paperwork & payments were noticeably kind & respectful. Compared to, you know, those that just take your card & matter-of-factly order you to sign the receipt w/o ever looking at you... So yeah, the opposite of how THAT feels. The office, shop, bathroom, & waiting area was (very) clean & comfortable, I even got a little work done while I waited. I gotta tell you, it was a surprisingly relaxing experience. read more

We purchased our RV in 2017 and have had multiple services completed on our rig at this location without incident. This past April we took our RV in to have 4 slides inspected and serviced. Not only did they have our rig for over 6 weeks; we discovered that one of the bathroom doors was damaged due to getting closed in between the bedroom slide and the wall. This door had been closed when we delivered the RV for service (has to be closed in order for slide to be retracted). In June husband reached out via telephone call, text and email to our Service Advisor with NO response! Not even a courtesy call, as a long standing customer! Mid July my husband called the store to speak with a manager (not available) and left a lengthy message with staff who picked up the call. Still NO response!. Went to the store on Aug 2 to speak to a manager in person. Of course no one was available. Staff gave husband business card for Parts & Service Dept. Director and sent a text that same day requesting a call. Of course, haven't received a response. This it not how you treat your customers and we will be looking for other RV service centers in the future. read more

We went in to look at a couple of coaches and ended up falling in love with a 2020 Keystone Cougar. Walking around with Daphne was a pleasure. Not once did she put any pressure on us to buy any of the units we looked at. All the way through the process she was a delight. The walk through with John was perfect. The items he pointed out were things I would not of noticed. He was a true professional. Then going through the finance with Julie was a breeze. Do not buy a trailer here. I recently bought one and it has over 10 major issues with it and it was brand new. Despite spending a ton of extra money on the warranty they still denied repairing my stabilizer. I have emailed the GM Brian numerous times and left him a voicemail without any response. Once they get your money they are focused on the next sale not supporting their current customers. They say they are all about customer support but my experience has shown the exact opposite. This was our first time ever visiting Camping World yesterday. We have just moved from Hawaii and are on our 3rd day of camping at an RV resort in Jackson. Yesterday we got a trailer brake put on our truck at the local u haul in Sacramento, but of course it didn't work. We were so stressed out. We looked on the map and saw there was a Camping World nearby in Roseville. We went into the store and met up with Raj. He was so helpful and answered all our questions. We even got a good Sam's membership while we were there. Next, we went to the parts department. At first, they said they couldn't look at our trailer brakes because they were so backed up with appointments. We understood, but we were so desperate. Then our hero Andrew came out to help us. He was courteous and saw that we needed some help. He squeezed us in and was so welcoming. We knew that this Camping World store was a special place. While waiting,we shopped for new RV's for sale and met Brandon. What a wonderful salesman. No pressure sales and really helped us learn about different types of RVs. We left him with our number and promised to visit him when we came back in September when we knew more about what we needed in an RV and needed an RV upgrade. First off, I never write reviews on anything, but my experience was so bad I can't resist. 1 star is generous. This is a Zero star review. They are very crooked operation. Nothing is transparent even though they like to throw that word around a lot to make you feel comfortable. DO NOT buy your trailer here. I was lucky enough to get out before I got stuck for 204 months of payments! I have attached a link to a video i found online that everyone should watch (although the re-enactments are horrible, it's almost identical to what my situation was and where it was heading). Camping world is a scam from top to bottom and although i know they are a business and are out to make money, they are taking advantage of people who can literally only afford $20k trailers and will affect their lives more than they realize. They move numbers and do whatever they can to make you feel comfortable with a monthly while taking your attention away from other fees and numbers they're adding on the back end. They will try to sell you on their good Sam membership and the fact they have 120+ stores nation wide, but the reality is, any dealer can do what they do and warranty work can be done almost anywhere. My experience with camping world has been a nightmare! One star is one too many! In summary, I purchased a new Thor Ace in May 2020. I made the earliest appointment to pick it up about one week later. I arrived that day and I left the lot eight hours later. They did not do any prep before that day and discovered a leaky propane tank that day. I drove home that night and parked it. I put the living room slide out and the slide topper broke and damaged the trim around the slideout. The slide could not be retracted because it would cause more damage. I sent pictures to the dealer and they sent a mobile repair guy out. He removed the topper and made it safe to drive. There were some other problems...Camping World sent two different vin numbers to DMV for my RV, causing additional problems with registering it and with my credit union. It is very difficult to get answers when I call or email the service people. About a month later I called to get a update and they said Thor was waiting on pictures of the damage. Camping World had those pictures on June 6th but never sent them to Thor until I called to ask about the repair update. It is now been almost six months and I have not been able to use my RV for one single trip and summer is soon ending. Meanwhile, I am making payments and insurance payments on a RV I do not have. I am so frustrated with this entire process I don't want this RV anymore. I want a refund so I can actually purchase a RV I can use. We bought our 5th Wheel from Camping World and got an extended warranty. In the 4 years we have owned the 5th Wheel it has been in the shop 4 times, now granted 1 of those times was solely on us. It is not that we have had to take it to Camping World for repairs that is so frustrating it is the time frame to repair it. This last time we took it in was May 25, 2022 and I am writing this on 09/22/2022 and the 5th Wheel is still NOT repaired and now we get no responses to emails or phone calls and to add insult injury our service tech told me the items which broke due to manufacturing errors would not be covered under the extended warranty. I would not take your RV, trailer, 5th Wheel, etc to Camping World for any service unless your plans are to keep making your payments on and never use it again. Walked into Camping World with no appointment and was greeted warmly. They assigned us a salesperson right away. Shelly Farrar was so helpful and showed us at least 4 travel trailers, answered all of our questions and was super friendly. Did I mention that we have never had a trailer? We were super new to everything RV related. We let her know that we probably wouldn't make a purchase until later in the fall. We left with a little more knowledge and a lot to talk about. That night, I had a few more questions about a specific trailer we saw earlier so I sent Shelly a text. She responded right away and even offered to knock off about 6k from the price if we came in the next day to buy it. The price was too good to pass up so we went back the next day. Again, Shelly was awesome! Did a short walkthrough and then went through financing where we met Julie. She was so great! Very personable and was truly happy for us about our purchase. At that point we made an appointment to come back the following Saturday to do the final paperwork, a walkthrough so they could show us how everything worked and to put a hitch and brake controller on our truck. Saturday, we showed up and met Danny, who was also super friendly, answered all of our questions and didn't treat us like the newbies that we are. After the walkthrough we went to parts to do a little shopping since this was our first trailer we needed a ton of stuff. Edward was our guy and he assisted us with all of the stuff we needed. He even went so far as to tell us that some of these items can be purchased at a hardware store for less money. I appreciate a person telling you the truth instead of trying to get you to spend a bunch of money. After parts we went back to Julie to finish up paperwork. She is just such a nice person. She was able to get us additional insurance at no additional cost! Now it's time to go hook up the trailer to our newly installed hitch. I'm sad I didn't get the service guys name , but he was awesome too!! All in all, this Camping World location deserves 5 plus stars. If I can give 0 stars I would. Bought a 2014 ragen sand sport toy hauler from them. Nothing but issues since day one only had it for one month. All they keep doing is putting band aids on the water leak issues. Will not repair the issues correctly. I asked to see if they can take back the trailer as I will eat the monthly payment and issurance payment. They denied my request and just pushed to keep adding sealant to the water damaged area. As seen in one of the pictures I have discovered mold building in the trailer. I have already mentioned "mold" and they do not care. I have a family and j will not stick them in this heath hazard of a trailer and get them sick. I have already mentioned I consulted a lawyer. They don't care. I have no choice but to take this into legal action. This is very disappointing. This is a billion dollar company and can't even make this right!! Do not buy from camping world!!! We bought our RV in Texas then drove it to our daughter's house in Tx and our Son in Law noticed some minor damage so we called the dealer but never got any response so we headed home to Ca. Called camping world in Roseville a couple of times and explained the problem per voice messaging, again never got any response. I took the RV to Roseville camping world and told them what I wanted LOF and water system checked and the Service Advisor was just selling that we need this and that and the quote was $2,800 + when we got home she called and said the sealer on top was all damaged and cracking and needed replaced for another $1,100 dollars this unit is only 1 year old with 3375 miles on it. I finally said no I'll come pic it up and ended up paying a little over $1,200 for minimal work. I will not go back to camping world anywhere and we did not get our Good Sam Club discount. She kept wanting to transfer me to the Rocklin store. If I wanted to go to that store I would have called that store. She finally transferred me to parts after going back and forth, were I was able to leave a message. The parts staff called me back an hour later and was very friendly. Wow! Should have read the reviews before buying our trailer from this place. We bought our a trailer a little over a year ago. There was already damage to the trailer before we brought it home that the seller fixed. Once we got it home, it was still broken (yes we did a walk through before taking it home and everything worked during our tour through it before taking it home, until my husband did his own very very thorough inspection when we got home). So of course, we had the extended warranty and warranty from the manufacturer as well for some of the parts. We took our trailer to them back on August 11th.... It is now October 27th and we are back to pick up our trailer and there is still a handful of stuff not fixed. Then the service department guys decided to be arrogant and be extremely rude and unprofessional to my husband when my husband was just pointing out the things that are still wrong with the trailer. And as they walk away they decide to start laughing at my husband for him making a comment about how upset he is with the service that's been done. Not only did they not fix most of the issues, we also could never get ahold of the service department and now were here to pick up our trailer and still having issues. To: Camping World in Roseville; $45,000 may be nothing to you guys, but not everyone can afford $45,000 and be okay with constant issues to have to pay for out of pocket. Only giving 1 star because 0 is not available. Compliant has been submitted to BBB. July 13th we called Camping World Roseville CA & requested to have an RV transferred from Ishpeming, MI. The salesperson Robert Morris took our credit card info for the $500 deposit hold to secure the RV. He let us know he had Thurs and Fri off & on Sat we can meet to finalize the deal, but taking the deposit now secures the RV. Only request was to make sure to have the credit application complete before we come on Sat. On Friday, I checked the website and the RV was still available. Something didn't feel right so I called Ishpeming, MI Camping World where the salesperson Josh told me it was in fact still available and he has no record that we were trying to purchase the RV. I let him know we want the RV but I was heading into an appointment, Josh said that's okay I'll pull it off the lot but call me by 7PM and put the $500 deposit down (it was around 6PM). Waiting at the appointment I texted Robert because we didn't want to be double charged for the deposit. Robert calls me and says because I contacted MI Camping World they now may not release it to us but he will call his manager and see if he can call the Ishpeming, MI manager. At 6:54 I get no call back so I decide to call Ishpeming, MI Camping World and put the $500 down, we really want the RV! Josh was on the phone so I got a call back, & he said right after he got off the phone he sold the RV but the customer may have financing issues and if the deal does not go through he will call me back. Our issue is, how does a company sell an RV that was supposed to be secured 3 days before?! All the other RVs are 15-18k more. When talking to Roberts manager Harvey he states because we didn't submit the credit application they didn't secure it. We were NEVER told that information & we called another Camping World & they said a credit check is NOT required to secure an RV, only a $500 deposit & drivers license is needed. My gut is telling me either Robert Morris purchased it for himself or secured the RV for a friend. read more

Their service department is dishonest, in addition, they fail to advise you that they damaged other parts on your RV while your RV is in their care and custody. Sloppy repairs, delays in ordering parts, installing incorrect parts, not keeping the customer advised of the status of parts on order and rudeness of service writers are just a few of their "qualities". I was employed for over 30 years by a national insurance company, claims department, and if I once treated a customer in the same manner that the staff at Camping World treated me, I would had been fired! read more

Our experience with Camping World is a mixed bag. We absolutely loved our sales person, Samantha Smith, and Julie in financing. Samantha was generous with her time and helped us narrow our search. However, and this is a big however, we were interested in an off-road unit but management didn't allow anyone to open it for us. They only showed us pictures. We ended up purchasing another unit but decided a few days later that it wasn't truly what we needed so we cancelled the purchase. We had our deposit returned within 24 hours and that was amazing! We have since read the horror stories about the poor customer service offered so are relieved we did not buy here. We would have liked the opportunity to freely roam the lot to explore privately before seeking a sales person for more information but it doesn't appear that that is allowed. Samantha and Julie are two of the nicest and most helpful people we have met and we can recommend them to anyone. read more

They have the worst service department ever, and their technicians are even worse! Please don't take your RV there! On our first trip in our new trailer, we lost 2 of our plastic underbelly panels. We are fortunate enough that no one was injured when they decided to fall off on interstate 5. We made an appointment when we returned. Our trailer was there for 3 months because they couldn't order the correct parts. I had 7 different issues that should have been covered under factory warranty. When we finally picked it up the trailer there was greasy foot prints all over the floor and on the wooden cabinets. Out of the 7 warranty items, I'm sure they only corrected 5. The parts were billed out but not installed. As I was under the trailer I noticed that there was something missing. 2 of the new panels were never installed. So I contacted them again and I was able to get it back in when the parts arrive. I took it in for the new panels and they had it for 6 days for 2 plastic panels which seems like too long but whatever. As we went to pick it up, they now tell us that they can't find the keys anywhere. WOW. Thank God that we had a spare set at home so we drive back home 30 miles, get the spare set and drive back and finally get our trailer. Our Service Advisor was off on that day and they promised that he would call us in the morning and get to the bottom of our missing keys. I waited until 1:00 in the afternoon and finally called him. He replied back to me " Your keys are missing"? I replied back to him the lady sitting right next to you said that she would write a note for you. But of course she didn't. He then said that he would call me in 30 minutes. 3 hours ago, and still haven't heard back from them. This place is the worst and most disorganized place I have ever had to deal with ever. The worst to work with they sell junk new RV we had three water leaks inside the $80000 four winds and the toilet broken the first week two months latter still not fixed. I had to fixed the toilet myself the oven broke the awning broke. Do not buy from them run run away from them they have nothing to offer for a big company. They do not back up the RV they sell. We took are four Wind to be service for all the item broken on the piece of junk camping world sold us. I went to pick up I went inside the unit they left grease from there shoes all thru out the unit Plus left garbage in unit. And on the outside door full of grease. When I got the unit back I got a call that they found a part for the unit on the floor at there shop that they need to install missing part on unit. Prep fee!!!! We went RV shopping a while back, not sure if we should get one, not sure if it'll fit in the budget, you know how it is. Found a trailer that we wanted and then our salesman told us we had to pay additional $2000 for a prep fee. What? That was a huge turn off. Last week we went to Bill Eads RV, found the same type of trailer, they thru in perks free, and the biggest thing is they do not charge a set up fee to get our RV ready to go. no preparation fee, that saves you $2000 automatically. Camping world has a lot of inventory, the people are very nice, but before you settle with camping world, shop around. So remember, you have to pay at least 20% down and the preparation fee. If you're able to do that, then by all means go with camping world. Because of the multiple stores around the nation. Otherwise shop around. And don't respond back to this review, it's not the location, it's the corporation. And unfortunately, you are the corporation. And I want the world to know that you guys charge of preparation fee when so many other RV places do not. read more

We bought our new travel trailer from Camping World in June 2017. The sales process was relatively smooth, but after that it went down hill. The service and warranty process is a nightmare. Hopefully you don't need your rig for a few months, because it can easily take that long for repairs to be completed. However, the worst part is the illegal and dishonest practices by employees. We had 2 brand new generators in our rig when it went in for service. Upon picking it up, one was missing. There was no damage or forced entry and all the doors were locked, which a thief would not relock the doors. We told management and their response was "we haven't had a theft in x years." They were thoughtful enough to get us a new generator, but I don't feel the investigation on their end went anywhere. They seem to swear this stuff Under the rug. Additionally, I've talked to others who have been to Camping world and one had bedding taken from their rig and one had a spare tire removed. I will be taking my rig elsewhere, hopefully somewhere will better business practices. read more
