We bought a 26' Corman sprinter in Colton Ca near Riverside. When we arrived and started to inspect the unit they informed me that there was a problem with the generator. So we live in San Jose I asked in a Camping World in my area can take care of the problem they assured us that they could. Troy and Jason were very helpful. When we got the unit home I dropped off the unit to San Martin and began the work, they ended up replacing the generator and completing the work the service manager in Tobby San Martin was very helpful! Overall all at times it was stressful everyone was very helpful! They are now finishing up everything! read more

I've been a customer for RV supplies for quite a few years and they've always treated me great. I had a chance to trade in my old RV for a new one, and Eddie was great to work with. I called 3 different dealers and Eddie was the only one who got back to me quickly, and showed me he wanted to help me out. They gave me a great price for my trade in, and made purchasing the new RV very easy. When Eddie was unavailable, Joe filled in and backed him up. Both were great and not pushy. Tried calling with a question about a water heater cover. After calling and speaking with someone I was transferred 3 times, no one picked up the phone and I was transferred again to a guy who said he could not help me. I asked if there was anyone there who I could ask my parts question to. He said "ummmm lemme check" and after asking another person he came back to tell me that no one there could hear my question, help me or look into any parts....I was told only one guy could.. and he was not there. Sounds like this is the "norm" after reading reviews. Maybe it's time to hire 1 other guy that knows something about parts. read more

While camping near the St Martin Camping World the slide in my 2015 Montana failed. Being a past CW customer in La Mirada I looked to them first for a resolution. I stopped at CW on Wednesday and talked with Crystal in service and she was able to get my 5th looked at right away. They found a bracket had pulled loose and new cable set would be required. They said they would look to source parts nd call me to come back for the repair. I called two days later for a status update but had to leave a message. Saturday I went to CW amd talked with Mike and was informed Crystal had not been in since Wednesday. He checked into my service request and was informed that there parts department needed more information, the pictures they had taken were not clear enough to show the part Numbers. Mike asked me to text him better pic and he would get back to me Monday. Wednesday after not hearing anything I called and asked for status from Mike But got no response. The next day was Thursday and I met an independent Rv technician that was working in the park I was staying in. I asked him if he could look at my 5th and make the repairs. He came right over, diagnosed for himself the repair needed and took all required measurements. He followed up before the end of the day and parts have been ordered. Friday none days after my visit to CW Crystal called and all she said was she was returning my call. I have been sitting in a part for nine days and they had not even ordered parts. BEWARE!! If I could give this place negative stars, I would. We brought our 2017 Jayco pop up camper there to sell it. Jason looked at the camper, said it looked good. We told him that there was was a soft spot in the floor and we were missing our fire alarm and he said it wasn't a issue. He gave us the buying price of $8900.00 and said we would receive a check in 10 days. He never mentioned that there were additional steps of service that needed to be done beforehand. I questioned him, he stated we were good and not to worry because we're dealing with Camping World. He also stated he was a pastor in his church and he can be trusted. We left after signing over the title, as Jason said this was the process. We called back on Monday and Melissa stated the camper needs to go through the service department to be evaluated. I told her that we we never informed of these additional steps. She apologized for Jason not following protocol. Days later, the camper still had not been seen. This was another ordeal of the company not being able to answer our questions and not getting the the service report. I called numerous times and although Melissa may have been trying to get the the camper serviced quickly, she was unprofessional when speaking about her team members. She said multiple times how she would slap them around and said this was f'ed up. I finally called the GM, he told me that the pop up was not good and they would not be buying it and that Jason would be written up for not following company procedures. We still have to pick up the trailer. We had to drive 2 hours in the first place; now another 2 hours to pick up the camper. They will give us a gift card and pay for our gas for the inconvenience. This whole process has been a HUGE headache!! The lack of transparency and unprofessionalism is astounding! I made a formal complaint to headquarters. I'm pretty sure nothing will happen on that end either, I need to wait 2 days before I get any response. We'll see.. Go elsewhere to if you can...our bad for believing this was a reputable company and trusting them. read more

I stopped in here to check it out. It's pretty neat, and they sell some pretty cool inventions. I don't own an RV; I mainly went in to see what camping gear they sell. They have a good selection of chairs. Definitely recommend stopping by if your passing through because it is in a really unique location, and I don't think I would ever drive there specifically... unless I needed to stock up on very RV specific things or a cooler. I was able to buy some propane canisters when i went they were 12.99 for 2 pack. I found a cool mesh head net because my first time up north mosquitoes were rampant! I also found an egg holder for car camping, and collapsible silicone colander. read more

Camping World service has been great. Vanessa in their warranty department has really stood out with exceptional effort. We have a 2021 Holiday Rambler that had a recall notice. This Camping World is not on the authorized warranty/recall repair list, although the Camping World in Sacramento is. San Martin is 15 minutes from home, compared to 3 hours to Sacramento (meaning two full days and over $200 in fuel for drop off and pick up). Vanessa was able to get authorization for them to do the repairs in San Martin. When additional parts were needed, she stayed on top of it and got the parts authroized and ordered. She kept us informed throughout the process. I couldn't ask for a better experience. read more

I don't understand why employees act inappropriately while driving their employer vehicles. Yesterday while driving to the Plant off Curtner avenue I was on 101, 85 and 87 with this person driving a camping world truck. He first cut me off on 101 in which my husband witnesses driving behind me and returned the favor. Then again on 85 he cut me off again. That's when I had it. No blinker, no proper spacing, no ethics in good driving for the safety of others. I hope management reviews these reviews but if not I'll be sending my pictures and complaints to corporate. I almost wonder if they care seeing their review scores are lover than half. Older, heavy set, white hair male driving. License plate possibly 7L60980. I hope employers are aware they are responsible for their employees and will pay if they hurt others around them due to negligence. /14/2023 This whole episode began mid-year 2022 when at Camper World in San Martin California, close to where we store our RV, a sales associate "sold me" on opening a Good Sam Credit card to save on my purchase; which was under sixty dollars. To be nice I agreed! Bad idea Never open a Good Sam Card at Camping World. One of the items, a propane gas diaphragm did not work as a replacement. So, I went back and returned it. Then a few weeks later I get my Good Sam Credit card statement which is issued by COMENITY, owned by BREAD FINANCIAL. My wife paid the bill late, our fault. This was the first time we got a Good Sam Credit Card. She did however pay the bill it was just a few days late. Now the odyssey begins. Because my wife was late in paying the bill, Good Sam/Comenity/Bread Financial added $40 as a late charge. Good Sam/Comenity/Bread Financial never disputed that we paid what was owed for the merchandise we purchased at Camping World. Nope, the only reason we got the Forty-dollar charge was being late on the bill. Now one other item where we were at fault was ignoring the late charge, even though our bill for merchandise which I easily could have paid with cash but was being nice to the sales associate at Camping World because she most likely gets "scored" on how many credit cards she up sales through Good Sam/Comenity/Bread Financial. Because I ignored the late charge, my mistake I own it, the bill became (wait for it) $145.88 all due to late charges as of 2/7/2023 closing statement, and this after I spent over an hour on 1/4/2023 getting a credit of seventy dollars. On that call I was promised if I kept my Good Sam/Comenity/Bread Financial credit card that I would owe Zero charges. Nope instead $145.88. And it appears if I never made the 1/4/2023 call it would be 145.88 plus 70.00 totaling 215.88. $215.88 DOLLARS. PURELY LATE CHARGES FROM A MERCHANDISE PURCHASE OF UNDER SEVENTY DOLLARS AT CAMPER WORLD. Now in fairness to Good Sam/Comenity/Camping World the associate I spoke to over the phone today did reduce my late charges to $54.88. About the amount my merchandise cost me at Camper World! In summary Never open a Good Sam Card at Camping World! Never open a credit card if Comenity is the underwriting bank. There late charges are up to $70.00 per billing cycle. This to the best of my understanding is usury. In my humble opinion I feel Comenity is an unethical company and they give capitalism a bad name. They are greedy pure and simple! If I could give this company zero stars I would because this place doesn't even deserve one star. While they had possession of our toy hauler on their property they damaged our toy hauler. They claimed they were going to fix it and never did. Since the damage has happened all employees including the GM are no longer employed at that location which is no shocker. We took them to small Claims court and won our case but there is now a new GM John that wasn't even around when everything happened yet feels the need to appeal our case instead of just making things right and doing better than the previous GM. On top of damaging customers property this location has horrible customer service, communication and clearly does not care about providing adequate service to customers nor caring about keeping a good name for their company. It took 5.5 months to complete the warranty work on our brand new trailer- simple items: awning arm, window blind and a few places where the facing was lifting off the cabinetry. The service advisor said it would take 3 weeks. They had our brand new trailer the ENTIRE summer. We called fairly regularly for status updates and NEVER received any calls back. We had to physically go to Camping World to speak with the service advisor and manager and they were consistently rude and aloof regarding the situation. The service advisor promised to have the trailer washed, cleaned and ready at the time of pickup since it had been sitting in a dirt lot for 5.5 months and was extremely filthy and covered in a thick layer of dirt and grime, both inside and out. The warranty manager also assured me that it had been cleaned before pick up. It was obvious it had not even been sprayed with water or even lightly dusted. We are so disgusted and disappointed, we would NEVER recommend Camping World to anyone interested in purchasing a trailer, camper, RV or any supplies from this business. read more

I don't usually write a review but I really felt like I needed to acknowledge the customer support and my experience with Camping World warranty service group. BJ with Camping world San Marin was absolutely amazing and went out of her way to help me with my new sprinter RV. Assigning a tech to walk through the camper with me and trouble shoot issues that a new camper van owner would not been able to navigate through. I bought my camper van through Camping World Fresno and they did not explain anything me and I've only had my van for 2 month and issues with the heater and furnace came up and Camping world San Martin was able to help me and took the extra step to walk me through the warranty process. I appreciate the dedicated service and the extra steps they took to make my customer experience so much better than I expected Thank you BJ from camping world San Martin!! read more

My experience has been a mixture of excellent to bad. My higher rating is due primarily to efforts on the part of corporate headquarters to make things right, to the above average service offered by Melissa, and to the quality of items they sell and any actual service work performed. What went right: (1) First time taking my trailer went in for service several years ago, everything went smooth regarding a major repair. I was very happy. (2) During my most recent experience, my hat is off to Melissa for exceptional service that went over and above what I would have expected. (3) Corporate headquarters (Marcus Lemonis' office) did a good job in communicating and addressing my grievances. (4) In the end, they made things right. The primary ones who were helpful in making things right were the corporate headquarters and regional manager Kelsie. What went wrong in my most recent experience: (1) No upfront quote was given for diagnostic work. I thought the estimate was free, but an unexpected charge for this was assessed in the end. (2) Communication by the San Martin store itself was very poor. After dropping off my trailer, I think it was forgotten about until I stopped by after 5 weeks to get an update. They hadn't looked at it yet. Then another month went by without hearing anything until I stopped by again to learn that an estimate had been worked up but never communicated to me. Phone messages I left during this time were never responded to which is why I would have to drop by in person. Poor communication extends to all levels including no responses to me (or corporate headquarters from the store manager or the service department (with the exception that the service manager did give a call back once at the very end of the process). Conclusion: In the end, they did make things right by refunding the unexpected charge admitting that they had not quoted this upfront. I like the store overall. I just wish the communication was better. I do think the quality of any work actually performed is high, so no worries there. read more

Several ads all over Facebook that say a camping expo was going on here. Several cities were listed for having I pulled up the ad and it said San Marcos. So the women there said it's only in San Marcos. I explained the ad listed several locations and San Martin wAs listed. If you scrolled San Martin came up. Any way, no expo, next day got same ad,saw Camping World deleted our comments in Facebook about no expo. We felt duped and I'd never buy from this place....imagine the deception when you bring a new trailer back for repairs... So they denied the ad yesterday and it came up again twice today advertising an expo here thru February 19th. read more

We have only had a travel trailer for one year and are just getting into the fun of camping. Camping World has been a great resource for us. They are very helpful and have just about everything you need for your trailer. By being a member you can get a discount on everything you buy. After our last trip, we had a problem with our water pump. When we got home I called them and they scheduled me to come in that day so I didn't have to unhook the trailer. As it turned out Paul checked out our water pump and found that there was really nothing wrong with it. He was very helpful and gave me some great tips. I've been trying to return a defective water pump for 3 weeks. I can't get anyone on the phone to even tell me if they have the part, let alone if they'll exchange it for a pump that is working properly. I've had to contact corporate headquarters to find out if they were still even in business because no one ever picks up. Today someone actually picked the phone up and transferred my call to service. After 6 minutes on hold their system hung up the call. I called again this time the person couldn't even tell me if the pump was in stock only that they had to ask someone if they could exchange the new defective pump for a new one and was put on hold for 11 minutes where upon I gave up and called corporate headquarters again. As of this minute nothing has been done and it looks like I'm going to have to contact the attorney general to get a proper resolution. Meanwhile, when I turn on city water the pump passes the water into my freshwater tank,(it's supposed to have a check valve that prevents this from happening) and floods the area around the tank because it overfills the freshwater tank. I have to shut off city water and run off the pump for my water supply. Sooo, I'm running out once a day to turn the city water back on when the tank runs low and hoping I can catch it in time not to waste water when it overfills. Meanwhile Camping World is doing their runaround. I wish this miserable experience on no one except maybe the perpetrators of this stupidity. The savings they claim you receive is lost on time wasted getting the wrong items sent and having to return ship it for the correct replacement. (As with a hot water heater I had ordered a number of years ago, also the same experience with a toilet I ordered. I ordered one as pictured in the catalog and they shipped a cheaper model that didn't have the pictured spray nozzle. The washer/dryer that they sell will last about a year and then break down for expensive repairs. It took over 90 days for them to ship 2 fantastic vents. read more

I wanted to sell my slide in camper. I contacted Camping World on line and filled out the questionnaire in full, clearly stating that I wanted to sell a SLIDE IN camper. They contacted me, and I made an appointment to do so. When I arrived at the location, I was informed that: 1) they do NOT deal in slide in campers; 2) they had no idea I was coming, even though they had acknowledged my appointment on line. They sent me on a useless wild goose chase, wasting my time, and the fuel that it took to go the 40 miles to get there. I would NOT send ANYONE to Camping World ever and I will never set foot in there again. If I could give negative stars, I would so do. I've had up and downs with this company. My trailer was there for 11 months to get repairs. First off They never disclosed the trailer was wrecked which we figured out the first time we took it out. The fridge never cooled and the exterior light did not work . Although we were charged $1,000.00 for camping world to do an inspection that was not per our request but in behalf of them to make sure ALL equipment worked properly along with cleaning. When we took the trailer back and the inspected the prior damage after just paying a little over $13,000.00 the GM there at the time offered $5,000.00 for trade in a $8,000.00 loss for owning it 1 month. We declined the offer and opted to have the issues fixed. Within these 11 months we've gone back and furry at least 8 times. Trying to reach them on the phone also. We had been through 3 different service managers in the 11 month duration with no communication on their part, we would always have to reach out. It took 11 months to finally figure out the the plug for the fridge was not completely plugged in. When we finally picked the trailer no one was there to great us and the trailer was filthy at this we picked it up and left. There was a ray of sunshine during this whole ordeal and that was Crystal Lambeth. Around the ninth month she was trying to get our trailer situated after another service manger went missing. She was trying her hardest but no avail and she to was no longer employed there. So in closing lets hope for the sake of the business when they open in 2026 they will have hired trained and knowledgeable people. read more

Excellent customer service! Amazing experience buying an RV. I came to buy my first trailer. I was greeted by Michael Wacker, one of the salespeople. He was able to educate me on the different kinds of trailers that would suit my needs, worked with me to narrow down to a few choices, and shortly after viewing some of those choices in person, I found the perfect trailer! The price was cheaper than any other trailer of similar floorplan in all of California. When I was ready to move forward, I was greeted by Michael's colleague, Lorenzo Betancourt, another salesperson. He was very friendly and got through the paperwork process fast and without any issues. And I'm sorry I didn't get her name, but another staff member greeted my kids with a toy and a snack to keep them occupied while we did the paperwork. After signing, I met Joe Dazzo, the manager, who was also very friendly and was able to answer all the questions I had about next steps. He also called to follow up on things which made me even more satisfied about the entire buying process. Going through the paperwork to finalize our purchase was a breeze, thanks to Christine Werner, the F&I manager. She explained all the perks I was getting by becoming a Good Sam member (free 3 years of membership came with buying my trailer). And also was able to explain all of the paperwork I was signing without making the process take forever. Lastly, was the walkthrough and orientation of my trailer. One of the technicians, John Watry, explained EVERY detail of the trailer and how to use every single part. He answered every question I had. Before the orientation I was overwhelmed at how much I didn't know how to do (like filling/emptying tanks, using the water pump and heater, handling the batteries and propane, etc). Now I can confidently say I'm ready to hit the road and go camping! If you've read this far, you know I don't have a single negative thing to say. Start to finish the process was amazing. We have been searching for a 311 toilet for the rv, first on line showed that San Martin had two on line. We ordered and was promised it would be here in 24 hours. We arrive to pick it up, they can't find it , we wait about 1/2 hour finally someone comes out with a box, it was very light not a ceramic toilet. My husband says this is not the right toilet in the box, " oh yes it is" obviously we know a ceramic toilet and a plastic toilet . Also the toilet that was in the box was dusty?? How does that happen? So we got no apologies and no toilet. Just a refund. Camping world do better, we are all on the road and need better service all the way around. You also may want to check on your employees , a lot of people walking around on phones and not working. read more

I went to camping world to buy a new trailer, and they did not disappoint. At first I went to a smaller dealership to look for a 22' trailer, but they didn't seem to be that interested in selling me a trailer. When I went to camping world, I was immediately greeted by John Scirigione, who made the whole process very easy. He showed me the trailers I wanted to see. I ended up getting a 2022 heartland mallard 210RB. The price was very good, so I moved forward with the purchase. John also contacted good sam to help me get insurance set up on my trailer. I got a very competitive rate, and had one less thing to worry about when I left the dealership. Christine Werner helped me out with the financing (I had pre-approval through a local credit union). She ensured that my loan was finalized properly, contacted the bank directly, which made it so that I didn't have to do much on my end to secure the loan. She even came in on her day off to accomplish this. Joe Dazzo the GM was very accommodating throughout the whole process. At no point was anyone pushy, but at the same time they were very motivated to help me, and get me into the trailer I needed. John Watry gave me a very nice and thorough walk through of my new trailer. He answered all my questions, and took his time to ensure that I not only understood how to set the trailer up, but also how to winterize the trailer if needed. If you are a first time trailer buyer like me, I would skip everyone else and head straight here instead. read more
