I went in to find a part for my fifth wheel. It was leaking from a hose/ tubing I need to divert the "clean" water from under trailer My idea was to connect a hose to it I know I was being inventive. I've had two people out who say it's nothing. Well I went into camping world so I can diy it. The gentleman that asked me if I needed help was great I showed him pictures and video. Yes I was prepared. The young lady with short cut blonde hair was Awesome. Because she not only took initiative to help the man that was helping with ideas cuz they didn't have the items. She advised me to go to kitchen department at lowes She also said she had faith in the fact that I could do it!!!! She she said I believe in you. Waste of time, gas money, & i lost 30-40 points on my credit score. I spent about 1-2 weeks asking credit score questions pre-checking so i can handle business once i did show up. Supposedly they have a dedicated large team to help you get financed but yet no one seems to know a ballpark figure of how much credit you need or what things can not be on your credit report in order to get approved. The salesman was kinda lousy asking me, "how much are you thinking of putting down?" while he yawned most of the meeting instead of saying, "if you put this much down we can get you financed"... A large dedicated team & it took an entire week to get an answer from 3 banks in total, & then the sales manager tells me that i'm trippin! Was that even professional?? It just doesn't add up, i could have done this from home, i gave them all the info 2 weeks in advance. The final price wasn't even much of an "expo" discount especially after they added some fancy safety check package for darn near 1/5 of the total price which is probably why the bank said no, its too much!..So much for a dedicated team, they didnt even ask me to try back in the future or like, hey we have another plan for you. Worked on our motorhome providing a tow package for our Ford tow vehicle, an F150 pickup. Omar did a great job in getting it right, though it took several trips. The new (2023) Ford is difficult to put a brake system on, but he was persistent and got the job done. We decided to have an oil change on our last day of work - the new brake light part was very difficult but Omar figured it out, in fact, he provided Roadmaster with instructions for the new Ford trucks. The oil change also had problems as the only filter they had was defective. They had to hunt all over town for a filter for a Cummins L9. Bottom line, we were there all day - 6 hours - Everyone was extremely friendly and apologetic and when we left we found out the Manager, Max Hayes, compensated us for the whole job! A huge surprise and a huge recommendation - if you need work done- give them a call. read more

Ok I went to Camping World looking for a class C and my absolutely wonderful salesperson Heriberto Hernandez showed me several class C's and Class A's but he knew I wasn't satisfied with size for my height and he took me to a fifth wheel ( I was hesitant) and I absolutely fell in love with my Tandara!!! Eddie was so helpful and very attentive to my needs and knew that I would be most comfortable in the fifth wheel. He is the best!! Lisa from the financial side was great and the process was quite painless! I am very pleased with my new purchase and knowing that I have backup coverage with my Good Sam membership just makes everything that much better!! My wife and I have been restoring a 1969 Kit Companion travel trailer this past year. We are down to the wire getting stuff finally finished. We needed a few hoses for the propane tanks, and we are also looking for a water heater (either a 6 gallon device or a tankless one). Max, the service manager, was friendly and knowledgeable. I also saw him interact with his co-workers as well as other customers. This guy is a gem! I really appreciate this kind of customer service. He helped us with the hoses (and actually saved us money by verifying that one of the hoses was still good and did not need to be replaced). And he showed us a water heater that would work with our trailer (he was extra cautious to ensure that we would not buy one that would not fit!). But he also gave us the option to find a tankless one. We drove all the way from San Mateo, but the trip was well worth it since the service we received was excellent. Also, all of the people working behind the counter were warm and friendly. This seems to be a great working environment based on the attitudes displayed by all that we encountered. Bravo! read more

I needed some warranty repairs done on my trailer, which was purchased from camping world. For about a month I called, left voicemails, emailed, left my name and number for call backs, even sat on hold for about 20 minutes at one point. I still have not reached anyone to even make an appointment for repairs. The lack of customer service and ability to contact customers for scheduling is appalling. Looked everywhere for a person and when I finally found someone to inquire about the Thetson Porta Potti asking where I go to dump it he says it should say on the box. ??? I clarify that I am asking do we have to go to a dump station and if so where are some of those in the area and he proceeds to tell me just dump it out in the grass or in a trash can. Seriously? This location has a FREE gray & black water dump! I come here before I get home to empty my rig. I have also purchased parts for my motorhome here and pricing is the same as their website. My recent purchased was the MaxxAir Roof Vent which was on sale for under $30. It was a sweet deal! There are several locations throughout California and this one is on the smaller size compare to the one in Fairfield and down South in Valencia. Customer service have been decent and it does get busy particularly around lunch time to late afternoon. There are plenty of parking here and it is easy access from the 101 freeway! I have been to several Camping World locations in the Midwest + West coast since purchasing my motorhome new in 2020. The CW in San Martin has excellent customer service compared to all others. I only used the store to purchase some miscellaneous merchandise but they were well stocked and very helpful. In addition, they made necessary updates to my Good Sam account and honored my coupons. Even though I now live in Southern CA, I will be contacting this location to have them complete the annual maintenance on my RV. My world changed when I had to take care of my aging parents. My dad is in a wheelchair and my mom can't keep up with his needs as well as hers. I knew I needed to move closer to them but I also needed to be mobile for my work. I knew an RV could provide the home I needed as well as the mobility. I chose Camping World. I'm a big shopper of looking online first and they happen to have the camper I was looking for with the price to match. It's a huge store. Lots of variety! They listened to my needs and narrowed down my requests according to what I could afford. I thought it was a smart move to purchase the Good Sam insurance because fixing an RV in a pinch could happen down the road and that's the last thing I need to worry about. I didn't feel hassled.... WORST CAMPING WORLD EVER! That's an understatement such awful experience every time I've been here. This final time made me never want to shop here ever again. I went in to buy pro flex brush-able sealant and online the listed price is 19.41 They charged me 24$ even though I showed him the online price on camping world website He then proceeded to tell me that they do not price match unless I had a membership. So they don't price match their own prices lol . Which is ridiculous this employee was too fixed on selling me a membership than answering any questions I had. Also i purchased a few items from the clearance and he charged me full price even though I walked over and showed him the listed clearance price. My husband came in on a Saturday about noon, looking for a trailer hitch. After being in the store for about 5 minutes, he approached a woman working there and asked for assistance. She stated that she would get someone, and asked an employee standing near them to help out. The guy didn't come over, and after a few minutes, what looked like his daughter came in, and they announced they were going to lunch. My husband went back to the original woman to ask who could come over and help, since the first guy just left for lunch, and her response was (very rudely said) "You've only been here 5 minutes. Someone will get to you soon." I mean, I can understand if there was a store full of people--however, no one was in the store. But what threw him off was the fact that the female employee was just really rude with her response. We have a choice who we give our business to, so he walked out. Unintended consequences - So purchased a tiffin phaeton and decided to purchase a few items like a water softener, for example. I find one and it's $400. I look it up online at the CampingWorld web site and it's $275 and delivered free. Hmm so I ask the fellow at the counter and he says well if you buy a $30 membership I can sell it to you for $350. What?!? I guess that's their strategy. But for me, as a consumer, I'll seek the lowest price on the same item. End result, I ordered from Amazon same item for the $275 plus a water deionizer and a handful of other items. CampingWorld didn't get my $$$ even though I was inside your store. Instead of rewarding the customer for coming in, they punished you financially?!? Good business plan?? Maybe. That's for them to decided. But in this instance they failed to make a sale and instead of building customer loyalty they made me more loyal to another business. NOTE: this post only related to this policy. Had five tires replaced on my Class A RV. Told them the rig specs were 75 psi in the front, and 65 in the back. When I got home I waited a few days and just for peace of mind, checked, and the one front tire was a 55, and three of the rear tires were 45 to 55 psi. Very unsafe. Also, they estimated the tire job would take 2 hours. Five hours later I was finally out of there. I specifically asked them to make sure the tire inflation stems were mounted so you could check the pressure, etc. One wheel was not. I had to remove the hub to get at it. These folks don't know what they are doing. read more

So I purchased an element cover for my travel trailer in September of 2016. With in the first year I noticed some wear on it. Now less than 2 years it has fallen apart and need to be replaced. When I called camping world who makes the Element cover I was told that if it's over 18 months I was out of luck unless I purchased an extended warranty policy. When I pointed out that there was a 2 year warranty on their web-site the call taker stated that it only applies if the tear or damage was at the time of purchase and/or if there was a defect in the material. Not from it being used as directed. So my advice to others is Do Not Purchase an Element RV cover. read more

So I was in need of a generator for my new 5th wheel. Being a rookie at this all, I had no clue what I was doing trying to pick the right setup. During my first visit in store the staff seemed a bit jr and wasn't able to provide me with info other than point to a chart on the wall. But later I talked to Manuel and Q on the phone who advised me what I needed. When I came in this morning the generators were set aside for me, including the cables I needed. Manuel was able to answer my questions, make sure I got the right parts and even helped me with loading it up. Great guy, great service, super appreciated! read more

Hel measured the size which was 24 inches. He said he could not install them for liability reasons. I did go in the garage and spoke to Victor Arias and he said he would install them. My wife and I just had the most outstanding customer service experience in the 10 years that we have owned RV's. Our 2008 Winnebago Voyage developed leveling jack problems in Tucson, AZ. We took it to the Tucson Camping World where Doug Deets and the service department found the problem, ordered the parts and, due to our travel schedule, shipped them to the Camping World in CA where we were headed. When we arrived in CA, we contacted Max Hayes, the service manager in Camping World's San Martin, CA location. He, working with Tucson, got the parts, scheduled the install around my surgery and travel plans and worked to diagnose and replace a defective replacement part. The level of customer service and quality of work is some of the very best we have ever encountered in our decade of owning RVs. The attitude of everyone involved was positive, customer friendly and professional. We now are long term Camping World satisfied customers in the making!!! We recently purchased a 2023 Keystone Cougar- paid in full. Set it up to check out all the bells and whistles. We had a power outage, TV screams "Power Out/Up" unable to determine. Had a few questions on the power outlets. Some work, some do not. When we purchased the RV, we were told, if we had any questions, to give them a call for assistance. We did read all the information items provided. Decided to give them a phone call. I called them on Friday morning 11/2/2023 at 9:26a and explained situation, transferred to Service Department, recorded message "no one available to answer", so I left a message to return call. Great news, I received a call back on the same day at 10:56am; unfortunately, I was unloading groceries from my car, hands full and did not answer call in time. There was no name of technician, no phone number-no message at all. After getting groceries put away, and still feeling hopeful, I called Camping World back at 1:48pm and I called asking for the representative in finance that sold me the warranty (to clarify) if I needed to speak to Service Dept or to the Warranty company. I was told by Ursula, to call their Service Dept. so I did. At 1:51pm I called Camping World, the phone operator asked how to direct my call, I asked for Service. Then, she questioned why, as I just called for Ursula. I explained I had a warranty question. She then asked which technician. I further explained how I got a call back but there was no message and I needed the Service Department. She was going to transfer my call, but no one answered. However, this time the phone operator informed me there was no one available and she would take a message for a technician to call me back. Ok, and asked if she could write on the message for the tech to leave a name so I may contact them if my question is not answered. Heavy sigh, sure........It is now Wednesday, November 8- will I get a call back? It amazes me how polite and eager sales are to get a purchase, but quite frankly, not so helpful after the cash is exchanged. Please change my mind Camping World, call me back.
