We had a very disappointing experience with the service department at Camping World in Wilsonville. Rhonda was our service advisor. We dropped our 5th wheel off on June 19 for repairs and dealt with constant delays, poor communication, and little to no updates unless we called ourselves. Because of the delays, we missed our planned Fourth of July trip. When we picked up our trailer, the lady working couldn't explain our charges, and we were promised a call from the service manager, Curtis to review the invoice. It's now been nearly three weeks since pickup, and after about five calls, emails, and multiple attempts to reach him, we've still never received a callback. Repairs can take time and we understand that. What isn't acceptable is the complete lack of communication and follow-through. We trusted Camping World with our trailer and expected much better customer service. We're younger RV owners, and throughout this experience we were left feeling like our concerns weren't taken seriously. I hope this review encourages management to reach out and also helps other RV owners know what they can expect before choosing Camping World Wilsonville for service. read more

So I called to book an appointment for my first travel trailer that needed some fixing. I asked them to fix the leak behind the toilet and to replace the faucet because it was leaking all over. When I arrived bill set me up. I backed up my trailer and left it with a mechanic. I went and got lunch at Carl's Jr. 20-30 goes by and I came back and talked to the mechanic. He pointed out some things that was wrong with the trailer. The leak I mention and needing a new faucet. He said they should be easy fixes and replace. He also told me about my city water having a leak that might need to be replaced. I said ok I have to get back to work and ask him how much. He said he doesn't handle the billing bill does. I dropped it on a Friday and got a call on Tuesday. He sent me the invoice. They charge me 1 hour to check the faucet that I already told them need to be replaced. And .5 hour at checking the toilet. I was already aware of and he only spent 20-30 mins too and got all the info he needed already but they want to charge me 199 an hour at 1.5 hours..... I asked if those will be included in when they repair / replace it. They said no they another 2 hour of work... I felt ripped off and scammed. read more

We are traveling across the US in our Class A Motorcoach and as we were spending time in Oregon, called to have both routine maintenance (slides and air conditioners) as well as marker lights replaced. Got an appointment within just a few days and will say they did a great job on everything! Including giving us results of a roof inspection while they were up on the rig. The gentleman who worked on our coach (Mike) has over 20 years experience building RV's from Indiana, and gave us a few more tips to prevent wear n tear while on the road! Always appreciated when traveling cross country and don't want to get stranded! Our Good Sam membership saved us money on service items too! I was already a Good Sam member, but had not used their service department. Up to this point I have used the dealer who we purchased from without much joy. The recent problem the dealer wanted me to come in 5 weeks out. Camping World gave me an appointment in 2 days. Arriving to the service desk, I was greeted by a friendly man who had me pull up to a service bay before writing me up. Brian, who also was friendly said this happens all the time. He gave me a pamphlet to reset my thermostat which let me take care of the problem. No charge and I got to take my RV home! I've found a new service center to take care of my needs and I have roadside assistance for away from home. read more

Store had to match the online price for a product - took the cashier a bit to do so, but she figured it out. Location is a bit hard to get into off the Wilsonville exit - you're better off coming in from the north instead of the south. We needed a small part replaced in our RV toilet. We failed to ask about labor costs etc...our error. The part was $29.99 and the bill was close to $400.00!!! I kid you not! Diagnostic charge is $99.00 Labor is @$190.00 an hour. That cost of labor is $190 ish even if it only takes 15 minutes to put part on. (to be fair our toilet had to be removed to install this part so I know it was more than 15 minutes and our warrant paid quite a bit) The point of this review is to share that it is costly to not ask about labor costs prior to pulling your RV into a bay! Any way you look at it $400.00 for a $29.99 part is crazy! I feel for the service desk employees because they get the brunt of the shocked reaction of customer. read more

Needed a new fridge. Got sold a trailer with a faulty fridge from camping world wood village. Wilsonville camping world made up this whole thing that they need to look at my whole trailer to assess if it's actually the fridge that's broken and not the outlets because we want to utilize the multiple warranties we spent an extra $10K on. EYEROLL. Okay so we make an appt and it didn't quite work with our schedule so we asked if we can drop off the night before and the guy says no because IT WILL GET STOLEN!! Then we say okay we will leave the truck attached, and he says THEY WILL BOTH GET STOLEN. They store more than a dozen trailers that they are working on in their front lot but we can't leave ours there? Oh and with our WARRANTY they tell us we will still have to pay for the parts, shipping, AND LABOR?! What THE F kind of crappy warranties is camping world scamming people with when you have to pay for every penny of it anyways?! We decided to cancel our appt later and buy a new fridge from a store and pay a fraction of what they were going to charge. Be better camping world. read more

My Keystone Hideout needed some repair work. Nothing Major, replace a damaged awning fabric and a rear support stabilizer. I Ordered the Parts needed On Line, as they didn't currently have them In Stock. Rhonda, in Service Dept. held my items until my Appointment, about a week or so. The refrigerator in my 34 foot Pace Arrow stopped working. My current RV repair place told me it would cost more than $7,500 to replace my discontinued, nonstandard double door unit. After calling half a dozen repair shops, Camping World came in with the best price. When I arrived at the Wilsonville location, Ronda listened to what I had to say. She looked up information on her computer and in a couple of manufacturing manuals. Ronda then called one of the service technicians who met us outside to inspect the motorhome. The result: Camping World could replace the existing refrigerator with a custom installation for less than $3,200. The parts would be ordered and ready for installation the following week. I was stunned. Camping World saved me more than $4,000. Thank you for coming up with this solution Ronda! The Service Team was ready to get started when I arrived. Eric and Brian met me and discussed the repairs which would require the installation of some custom woodwork. The guys wanted to know what color of stain I wanted and if I had any preferences on the finish. It was going to be a tight fit because the new unit was taller and might require moving my solar charge controller to make certain the baffle system would meet the manufactures requirements. I got a call from Kurt the Service Manager. The solar charger would have to be moved which would require some additional time. I picked up the unit two days later. The installation was beautiful! The guys had matched our wood color almost perfectly. Kurt wanted to keep the project within the estimated budget and for this reason there was no additional charge for the extra time to move the charge controller! Love these guys. Going back to Camping World Wilsonville for all my future RV needs. I'm a Good Sam member now. read more

I agree with another comment from Nancy J... Marcus Lemonis needs to undercover boss his own business. Matter of fact, he needs to just walk in, and take a trip around the store. Not one person greeted me, until I approached the register. There was a card board box laying in the entry way, and half assembled Colman BBQ, and the store was completely disheveled. There was no organization to the layout. Pet items next to the camping chairs, door handles in the electrical section, items tagged with the wrong prizes or not tagged at all, and no signage to direct customers. Once I did get to the register, I told Pam I had a tongue jack on hold for me. She went to get it and could barely pick it up, and dragged it across the floor. The box was mangled, tore, and broken. I asked Pam where interior lights are at, she pointed across the store and told me to head to that back corner, go down 3 "cube-ies" and they should be "in there somewhere". After speaking to the manager, I was give a discount on the tongue jack. Wow, thank you! - It didn't work at all. When I unpacked it, it was used. The bolts were missing, buttons broken, and you could tell someone tried to install it, then returned it. I wish I could email Marcus myself. - I know he would be making some extreme changes to this location. read more

I went on their website and found an RV! 1998 Pace Arrow. Unfortunately I am 62 yrs old, disabled, recently divorced. After two different salesman, I was given the third and worst salesman! I tried to explain my circumstances and received one of many condescending emails back from this salesman telling me, he was stuck living in his car, with a broken leg and how things are rough all over! I was so excited to check out this place after purchasing a small camping van! Our first experience was a little strange in that we took a golf cart ride to a sales presentation related to Sam's Camping club that we ultimately signed up for because of the discounts allowed across the country. They have a pretty good selection of camping accessories from dishes, rugs, chairs, mattress pads, all kinds of stuff that you might need on the road including all kinds of things your rig (hoses, DEF, stuff for the toilet etc.) may need as well. They also provide servicing for different RV's - Fortunately we have not needed those, and if you join the club, you'll get a discount on everything you buy at any Camping World, plus a discount at any of the nation wide camp grounds. The reason for the 3 star review is perhaps due to my reluctance in embracing the RV lifestyle, if only they had had at least one mirror that I could have stuck to the wall somewhere in my completely mirrorless rv! ;) read more

The breakaway unit on my 5th wheel had quit working and needed to be replaced. I purchased one online but it didn't seem to be working. We are traveling from Albuquerque, NM and needed it checked out before we head back home. I used there online Service Request Form on Sunday night. Monday morning at approximately 9:30 they called to talk about my problem. He said they were really swamped and booked well into September but he would talk with the service manager and call me back later that day. He called back later that afternoon and asked if I could bring the 5th wheel in the next day at 2:00pm. I arrived early and checked in with the service clerk. They had me wait only 15/20 minutes then had me pull the 5th wheel into a bay where the service tech and I talked about what was happening. He said they were running about half and hour behind schedule but would get on trouble shooting the issue next. The waiting room was very clean and comfortable. I browsed through the store which was very well stocked with RV supplies and the sales staff there was courteous and helpful. The service tech came to the waiting room after about a 45 minutes to explain what he had diagnosed. The trailer breaks and new breakaway switch fully operational. However, the problem was in the truck wiring that appeared to have a short in it. They don't work on those issues with vehicles. All in all my whole experience with Camping World of Willsonville was well above exceptional. From the phone calls, to check-in, sales staff in store to The Service Tech they were all courteous, helpful and knowledgeable in their areas.W read more

WOW, we had another great experience at Wilsonville! And well worth the drive from Portland. This is the second repair we've gone to Camping World of Wilsonville for in the past 9 months and both times have been very happy with the service. This time we had to bring our camper van in for a toilet that wouldn't stop running. Once again, they were able to squeeze us in on short notice (I called Saturday and was in on Monday morning), were friendly and professional, kept us informed on what was happening with the repair and the cost, and were quick - I expected to wait 1 - 1.5 hours and they were done in under an hour! And to top it off, they filled my tires with air at no extra cost because my tire pressure gauge warning light had just come on. Thank you to Camping World of Wilsonville for restoring my faith that there are companies still providing good service and good customer service! read more

I had a brake controller added to my Subaru for my new small trailer. I knew almost nothing, but they picked the parts, installed the brake controller in a day, and explained how it operated. My review is strictly for the parts and accessories retail side of the business, as I have not bought or had my RV serviced here. This is a typical Camping World, they have more RV camping parts and accessories than any other RV parts store that I've seen. It's like a toy store for most RVers. I enjoy looking at the latest RV gadgets, especially when you find something useful you didn't even know existed. Sure in some cases you can find items cheaper online, however often I'm more hands on and prefer to see an item before buying. Camping World provides me that opportunity. read more

Out visit was super disappointing. Store is dark, dingy and poorly kept. Zero greeting or offer to help. We navigated the aisles, including the "clearance" section which is a sham. Got in line - one checker working on a Friday morning. Waited 4 mins (this, after I set timer) before a second cashier was called. Waited 3 more mins and were next when waived to the second cashier. Who promptly looked up from her scribblings to say the first checker can help us. That checker was now deep into a hitch box and asked the second to help us, indicating she'd sent us that direction. I looked at her and she said, "It'll just be a few more minutes." Yeah, no. I will take my business elsewhere. People - check Amazon, as RV supplies are approx. 20% cheaper with free Prime shipping. Also, Curtis Trailers has incredible customer services and their "Camp Curtis" stores are bright, well-stocked and full of knowledgeable people! Camp on! read more

Would have given more stars because the guy at check-in was really nice and helpful. The guy who conducted the work on our trailer was pleasant enough. The issues came when I picked up the trailer after $928 in work/repairs. The woman who checked me out seemed, at best, annoyed that I was in her presence to pay for the work and take the trailer. No, I am not a rude or mean guy. I'm nice and pleasant. I do not know her name but she seemed put out when I asked her if I should wait inside or meet her outside at the trailer. Not having ever been there before and not receiving any guidance or cues from her I was not sure where to go after paying. Once at the trailer no one offered to help me hook up the trailer (not hard but where is the customer service?), no one went over the repairs, no one offered to check the lights. No one offered anything. Again, where is the customer service? Believe it or not, I did not even get a "thank you" for my business. Not even a "thank you" for choosing them to do the work. I certainly did not get a "Hope you have a nice day, please come again". Whether I paid $9.00 or $900 or $9,000 the art of customer service should be alive and well. For the most part, not at this Camping World location in my experience. Thanks to the guy who checked me, but that's it. Lots of other places to go that have to have better customer service. This is not a full service RV shop. If you need to use CW, call ahead and order the parts you need, tell them how long they will need to perform the repair and how it should be done, and then maybe you will be able your scheduled the repair and get it completed in twice the expected time. Otherwise they will charge you diagnostic fees for what you know is already wrong, tell you they didn't have time to complete the repair, say the part is back ordered when it's in their store, and you will still have to come in afterwards and finish/clean up the job after they are done. If you are looking for someone to pass the buck and explain why the only thing you asked for isn't done, then this is your place. read more

Camping World has done a wonderful job on a very difficult fix. Our RV decided to spring a leak while we were out of town. Well, the mold set in and ate a large portion of our cabinets. Dave said that he had never seen anything like it. Camping World stepped in and made it look like new. They tore out the cabinets and built brand new ones. They are perfectly matched and could never tell that anything happened. Absolutely amazing! Not only that, Dave went above and beyond. I'm a working mother with a young child and my husband works the weekends. I was at a loss of how to pick up the RV and take it back to the RV park. I had no help. Dave had no obligation to help but he did! He took the RV to the park, and I drove him back to the shop. Dave is a great guy that did an amazing job on our RV! I've been to camping world many times in past. Over the past couple of visits the store has seemed to have lost it's way. There seems to be more employees than customers on a regular basis yet they never make eye contact with customers or attempt to help them. I swear they go out of their way not to help by sneaking up empty isles as soon as customers approach them. My last visit (after saying I wouldn't go back due too my bad experience last time), I decided to go to the parts department to see if I could get the attention of an employee. One guy was on the phone, no eye contact and ignored me completely. The other guy was typing endlessly on the computer terminal. Finally, with a deep sigh, he looked at me and ask what I wanted as though I was inconveniencing him. Shrugging that off, I asked if they had a led dome light to replace the one I had with me. He barely looked at it and said no. I ask him again if he was sure (I knew they did, from my last visit, as they had a display with them, but no boxes to actually make a purchase). After seeing that I wasn't going away, he said, "I guess we have those over in the lighting section. I'll call someone over. You can go wait over there for someone." Of course, no one ever came. The store seemed run down. Some products were out of box and seeemed excessively used posted at full price. The prices are higher than what you can find online but I like supporting the local business. Also, employees were either stocking shelves and avoiding eye contact or grouped in a corner of the store talking and giggling. It's unfortunate how this store has spiraled in quality and customer service. This used to be a good store. I ended up finding what I needed on eBay and Amazon. I ended up getting over $500 in parts. Those purchases could of been revenue for this store but their poor customer service drove me away indefinitely. Hopefully they improve but I've given them plenty of chances and I'm done with Camping World. I'll take my business where I am not seen as an inconvenience and where the customer actually matters. read more

ONLINE SHOPPING at Camping World - so today I purchased a rug, online at Camping world, as I live in Oregon and there is NO sales tax here I expected at "check out" the tax would not apply! Surprise NO matter what I did there it was. So I called the "online department" and was told "because there is a Camping World in Oregon, they can charge me tax" ! NO. I said your wrong! After several calls to their corporate office, I was told I was right. All thou I won't be getting my money back. The online department is going to be taught how to charge the correct amount! Don't get me wrong I pay taxs like everyone, but sales tax is one of the nice things about living here. Yes, they make it up when I file my state tax return, and that's ok! But i shouldn't have to pay it at the point of sale and that's my point! Online shoppers beware!!! read more

Stay as far away from this place as you can. Good selection, but high prices, and TERRIBLE customer service. You've been warned! I read the reviews and decided not to listen to the advice written by others, because that couldn't happen to me . . . again. On 2 previous occasions, I was told that they could install electronic items, and inverter and a solar panel, for $39.95, or $49.95, whatever it happens to be this month. But on both occasions, they then quoted me an astronomical installation price plus materials. But this time, I called ahead, set an appointment, wrote down the service associates name, and asked for the install price of a brake controller, three times, and was quoted $39.95. I told him I was driving from an hour away and didn't want to be up-sold. No problem, he even asked another man at the service desk. Well, low and behold, when I arrived for my install, I was told that it was going to cost an additional $259 to do the wiring, and I would have to wait until the end of the day. This was 9:45 in the morning. No concession was made for my time, a discount in price or trying to fit me in as they hadn't allowed enough time at my 10:00 appointment. They do not seem to really care about their customers. I walked out, very disappointed, but for the last time . . . . Never again. read more
