Fire and Desire!!!! I was in the area because we had an appointment to go to and I had some time to waste so I figured I'd grab a bite to eat when I drove past this place, something just told me to look it up and the pictures look so yummy and when I got my food, it looked exactly like the pictures I saw on yelp and it was so freaking delicious I got three Asada tacos with rice and beans. It was phenomenal. I will return to the spot.. the restaurant itself is very clean inside. I'm not sure if they had a restroom or not. The service was great. The cashier was very pleasant and the chef who prepared the food was also very nice don't pass this place up.

I've been here several times. The food is okay; not bad but also not delicious. If you're in the area and need something to eat, this is your best bet. The service is always good and the staff is nice. There ade a bunch of tables and booths. There are some tvs on the walls. It's always clean.

Great friendly service on a Sunday morning. Picked up a ground beef hard shell taco and a chorizo, egg, and potato burrito. Enjoyed both and would purchase again. I mainly came to confirm if the bad reviews were true. Left satisfied

Food: Ordered two bean and cheese burritos. Came with chips. Was good. Not the best I've had, the cheese wasn't completely melted and the beans could have been made a little better. But for the price and to sit and eat peacefully, it was a good place. Experience: Watched a soccer game. We hung out, weren't rushed. There were about 6 other people inside. Good energy and nice staff. Verdict: If I'm in a pinch and want quick and homemade bean and cheese burrito for a good LA price, I will definitely come back.

Ok so I just moved into the area and I've been eyeing this place out because I drive by it too often. I didn't want any bad review shift my idea of this but here I am. I NEVER give one star out. My favorite thing to order anywhere is a torta so had to try this out. Asada Torta. Bread was hard and felt like it's been out for 2 weeks. Asada tasted and looked reheated. Even the chips tasted old. I wanted to cry. I might come back to try something else out one day but not anytime soon. Only good thing about it was the price.

One of best authentic Mexican food in Westwood! Delicious carne asada tacos and chicken tacos with rice and beans! Worth the drive and money! Excellent service but as always parking on the west side of LA is always a challenge so be prepared to walk or Uber if you can. This place is a must. Will definitely be back!!!

Bean and cheese burrito with chips

Been coming here for years and years. Still some of the best around. I love getting the basic bean and cheese burrito and adding some of the chunky salsa from the salsa bar, hits the spot every time. Everything else on their menu is also really yummy. Service is always outstanding and friendly. Recommended if you want some good Mexican food

Idk if I was just starving when I found this place but the food was bomb and extremely affordable. I got a taco, an enchilada, rice, beans, chips, and a corn tamale for $16 in LA. It reminded me of my favorite Mexican restaurant growing up - was very old school and clean in there. Staff was helpful and nice.

Now when you pull up originally you might think, "am I in the right place" but once you park and get into the courtyard, it is LOVELY! Amazing ambience! There is a bocce set up, string lights. It is a little slice of oasis in the middle of the fashion district. The restaurant itself - beautiful. I couldn't ask for more. Absolutely perfect in my book. Beautiful plants hanging, perfect Spanish music in the background (any place playing Natalia LaFourcade is a win). The drinks were great! I had the jungle bird which was fun. Food was so good too. The whipped beans are the star! We had the guacamole which was tasty, great tostadas with it. The arepas were good but the pork belly was a little too fatty (I know pork belly is always fatty) to the point the fat muted the flavored for the arepa a bit, but still delicious. The empanadas were great and as someone who lived in South America and ate empanadas every day, these really took me back to my Paraguay days. The squash blossoms were light and perfectly fried. Unfortunately my friends had gone to Funke the night before so they were comparing the squash blossoms and Funke won out, but they still liked Dama's! Small plates were enough for the 3 of us. The service was quick and attentive. Parking was easy for us. I will definitely be back!

The staff are lovely humans who really seem to care about their customers. We have some faves on the menu. The bean dip is fabulous and I'm addicted to the baby gem salad. They have recently amped up the filling in the delicious crispy squash blossoms and I love the acidity and heat. The fish is also a hit in my books. One dish that doesn't work for me is the lamb chops, which is a shame since it's my favorite protein. I've ordered them multiple times with clear instructions on temperature and have found them overcooked and tough. The beef tostada was just ok. Whilst I loved the pickled veg on the side, the beef was underseasoned. It wasn't bad - just not up to the standard of other dishes. The vibe in the place is welcoming and the restaurant is nicely appointed. We will continue to be regulars and it's really worth trying if you haven't been yet.

They guide you to the entrance which about one hundred feet north. Walking in you're shown many awards, culminating in a 2025 Michelin. There must have been a special occasion to be welcomed by music that was incredibly loud. We sat down, and I couldn't hear myself think, or the waiters voices. We asked for another table, but unfortunately that brought a certain type of attitude from the host. I'm sure the music would have been nice if it wasn't as loud, on amplified speakers. After finally being seated, near the bar, the service seemed great. Seating seemed plentiful, but I can now see why a reservation is necessary. To start, the appetizer we chose was a queso fundido which was ok on their smaller tortillas. I must have been spoiled by Chalio's homemade giant tortillas. Chalio's on Atlantic by the way. Guelageutza uses sautéed mushrooms, and they garnished it with this guacamole that didn't really taste that good. Mushrooms on the fundido didn't seem right, but individually they tasted great. The chorizo was ok. My gf likes to try those types of apps. They're not known for that, so I can let it pass. Our order was taken, food was quick, and hot. The attentiveness of the staff was good, but their smiles were absent. Must have had a long day. I got the black Mole chicken, my gf got the enchilada negras(black mole) topped with their tesajo. My dish was good, hot, and full of mole, which was delicious as well. They served it with their tiny homemade corn tortillas. They have several types of mole. My gf got the enchiladas Oaxaceñas and it looked good until I took a bite of the enchiladas. They just poured mole over the tortillas and that's where the flavor went flat. The tortillas were dry and not dipped in the sauce. Traditionally in my family, we fry our tortillas lightly in oil, or lard, and roll them in the sauce. My gf didn't even finish them. I ate all of my meal, and I took her enchiladas home. They were even worse as leftovers. I tried to order their traditional flan, but they had ran out, so I ordered their tres leches. It was ok. I was really disappointed that they ran out of flan though. All in all, this establishment was ok. The atmosphere seemed very manufactured, but I've never had the pleasure of visiting Oaxaca. The mole negro was delicious on the chicken. Seeing that It was recommended on Yelp, I agreed with the statement of picking that dish. The bathrooms were great with a good amount of stalls. I can't say that about a lot of good delicious Mexican food restaurants here in LA. They seem to be more of an afterthought with some. Reminding myself this was Michelin rated restaurant, I didn't get that same feeling with the food though. This now, will give me an excuse to look into why a restaurant is rated as such to understand why that matters so much.
