Parking: they have a lot right behind the restaurant. Locals: locals eat here! Menu: so many things on the menu! From breakfast burritos to rice and bean plates to cemitas and tortas! Service: super fast. We waited maybe 5-10 min. For a carne asada burrito and 2 hard shell fried beef tacos. They're also super nice! We recently also ordered breakfast burritos to go and they were ready in like 15-20 min. Price: $12-15 per item (it's the west side so set your expectations... but tbh it's worth the price in my opinion. The flavors are there.) So the reason I tried this place out is because I wanted Tito's tacos (next door). I specifically wanted a hard shell fried beef taco. So I decided to try them. They've been here FOREVER as have Tito's. I also grew up in the area and hadn't been in a LONG TIME. It's under new management so I wanted to try it again. Verdict: HONESTLY if Tito's was closed or you're tired of waiting in line at Tito's (this place is open 24 hours) I would go here for my beef taco. The flavor is different but it's close. And their pico salsa is similar to the Tito's salsa taste wise. ITS NOT EXACTLY the same but it's close to me. And I grew up eating Tito's. You also get more bang for your buck here because for $12 you get two hard shell tacos big ones! And rice and beans and salad! This might be my new go to place for fried beef tacos ( tacos dorados). Give it a try and support a local business!

For decades, Cinco de Mayo is my number one late night stop for Mexican food. The veggie burrito is delish. I prefer no rice and no lettuce. The avocado salsa is slightly spicy but tasty against the saltiness of the shredded cheese. Thank you for staying open late. I always love when we stop at Cinco de Mayo.

Classic Mexican dive joint, serving up great food with no frills.

The locals know to come here for great Mexican food. Nothing fancy, no Mariachis, just friendly service and a huge menu to choose from.

We ordered chicken, enchilada, rice, and beans and a shrimp burrito. Everything was very good.

I've been coming here for years. It's one of my favorite restaurants due to the extensive menu and the 24/7 service. It doesn't matter what I'm in the mood for or when I'm in the mood for it, Cinco's has always got me covered.

Well, I guess I can honestly say that the food is really good there is it the best I can ever have no can't say that. But I can say it is delicious and they do make some good food. The people that work there are very nice and friendly. As For the place itself, it is nice and clean and very comfortable to sit relax and eat.. since this it my first time going there , I tried the taquito plate and a (al Pastore) taco that is really hefty and full of meat . Both were really good they were very tasty. The rice and beans were also very delicious. I like that they spread some cheese on top of the taquitos , it gives it a little something extra... The prices are very reasonable and the food is good. The people are nice. It is now one of my lunch spots during the week. .

This is a pretty good spot for your late night munchies especially, if you've been drinking. I honestly only come here for the tacos Dorado with ground beef. They are so good the shell is perfectly crunchy and tasty. They load it up with plenty of meat to so all you really need is about 2 tacos.

Really really bad. Bland. And over priced. There are MANY taco trucks blocks out that are cheaper fresher and way bigger portions

The restaurant was decorated for the Fourth of July, creating a festive atmosphere, and everything from the décor to the aromas felt genuine and welcoming. The staff was attentive, personable, and made the experience even better. I ordered a chicken and steak burrito with rice, beans, and cheese, and it was outstanding. The shredded chicken in mole sauce was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, while the steak was cooked perfectly and complemented the burrito beautifully. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and I'll definitely be coming back!

We loved the old-school vibe immediately. We arrived around 4:45 and waited only 5-10 minutes. Then we saw the fresh tortillas being made and thought, "This could be good!" The atmosphere was relaxed, with full table service and great chips and salsa. We ordered a plate of fajitas to share and a shredded beef taco. Funny enough, I thought I was ordering a taco platter, but one lonely taco arrived on a bed of shredduce. Thankfully, it was excellent. A good shredded beef taco is surprisingly hard to find, and this was my favorite part of the meal. Overall, the food, service and atmosphere were all great. I'll definitely return. I found a parking spot behind the restaurant that felt a little sketchy, but it worked. I'll probably look for street parking next time. 4.5 stars

I'm from Mexico and when I first moved to the US what I first noticed was that tortillas fall apart here and are bad quality. But at madre you can tell that the tortillas like for the memelas are made in house and are excellent quality with good masa, not just like maizena. The servers are always great, my boyfriend and I love this place. This is where he had chilaquiles for the first time with tasajo and he will eat them elsewhere but nothing compares. The chilaquiles are awesome, better even than many places in Mexico. Good quality ingredients and stuff that you don't find everywhere- huitlacoche, chapulines, etc. When I brought my mom and dad my dad was eating and paused and told me he had forgotten he was in the US for a second and that it felt like home. Love this place a lot and couldn't recommend it more highly. I was reading the reviews from others and it seems clear that this place resonates with people who appreciate the diverse and multi layered tastes of Mexico and who know about the nuances of the cuisine beyond tacos and margaritas. If you want cheap tacos and a margarita this is probably not the vibe. I don't know why people come to a restaurant that has unique and specialized Oaxacan cuisine like the amazing mole and great salsas and hard to find ingredients like huitlacoche and chapulines only to buy like an asada taco and a margarita... lol

The ambiance is very colorful. It's all outdoor dining. You have the chairs match the umbrellas and you feel like you're immediately transported to an Ensenada road side food stand. But what they are known for is their big size, delicious tortas. I ordered the grilled chicken, torta, asada fries, and 2 carnitas tacos. The torta was humongous and packed with cooked marinated chicken, avocado, tomatoes, beans, and sprinkled with cotija cheese. The only thing I suggest they do is to toast the buns a little longer. A nice toasty crunch would make this torta even more fabulous. The asada fries were packed with meat, guacamole, toppings, and fries. It was huge as well. It took 3 people to finish it off. Very delicious! The carnitas tacos were so good! I love that they make fresh corn tortillas and they add pickled red onions on top of a slowly roasted and shredded pork loin.
