Cerveteca serves up one of the most delicious Tortas I've had in Los Angeles. Located in Downtown Culver City, Cerveteca is a shack side establishment where you can order anything from tacos to aqua chiles. The ambiance is very colorful. It's all outdoor dining. You have the chairs match the umbrellas and you feel like you're immediately transported to an Ensenada road side food stand. But what they are known for is their big size, delicious tortas. I ordered the grilled chicken, torta, asada fries, and 2 carnitas tacos. The torta was humongous and packed with cooked marinated chicken, avocado, tomatoes, beans, and sprinkled with cotija cheese. The only thing I suggest they do is to toast the buns a little longer. A nice toasty crunch would make this torta even more fabulous. The asada fries were packed with meat, guacamole, toppings, and fries. It was huge as well. It took 3 people to finish it off. Very delicious! The carnitas tacos were so good! I love that they make fresh corn tortillas and they add pickled red onions on top of a slowly roasted and shredded pork loin. Making it my regular order. I highly recommend checking this spot out. Nice big burritos (coming from a girl with huge hands) in Culver City, where it's easy to find street parking, pop in, chat with the nice staff and put an order in, and within 15 minutes or so you've got a big heaping burrito to help you forget all your troubles. Solid spot in Cilver City. While it doesn't have some of the more authentic meats like tripas and lengua, what it does serve is pretty damn good. I enjoyed the surf and turf burrito and Baja fish taco. I do wish there was more asada in the burrito though. But the sauce, pico de gallo and cheese just went really well together with the shrimp and beef. You can really taste the freshly made corn tortilla in the taco. Was craving a breakfast burrito and came across Cerveteca when I was nearby for a meeting. At around 9am it was empty with only one other customer dining. It's outdoor dining only. The breakfast burrito's portion is quite big and filling. Enough for two unless you're super hungry like I was. It was delicious and kept me so full that I skipped lunch. Came by this place tonight and was disappointed. The lady at the register with black hair and on the bigger side, was in a conversation with another lady there and didn't see me. Once I waited for her to notice me, she attended me with a rude attitude like if she was bothered I came up to order. 3-1/2 stars (round up to 4 for the quality) I'd been interested in trying Cerveteca for a while, and I finally got around to having it! I ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito, and it was absolutely solid: I especially enjoyed the tater tots inside. Chorizo was rich and tasty, although I would've loved a bit more seasoning/flavor to it. The salsa (medium) and chipotle mayo added a lovely touch to the meal. My only gripe is that, while a solid burrito, it's not worth spending nearly $50 for two burritos (my partner had gotten a veggie breakfast burrito, also tasty) and a drink! The guacamole we added to our burritos was $3 per piece, which is excessive. If the meal is to cost $50, at least make the burritos bigger and add chips/fries as a side. Back in the day when I worked in Century City I would look forward to the days when my boss would bring breakfast burritos from here. They were SOFA KING good, and their special sauce was BOMB! It's been years since I had one. I was excited when I found out these delicious breakfast burritos were being served at a meeting in our office. I couldn't wait to stuff my face. For the record, the burritos are huge and very filling. Half is plenty. Sadly, there was an ICE raid the day they were being prepared for our meeting, so there was an issue with the order. Unfortunately, my veggie burrito had chicken in it, so I just ate the tortilla with the yummy sauce as well as some chips n' salsa. Their tortillas and chips are both house made and are exceptionally good. The salsa is very tasty. If you haven't had a Cerveteca breakfast burrito I highly recommend. It's one of the best! Stopped in on Taco Tuesday. Located right on Venice Ave but massive parking garage right behind with free 60m parking. Prices aren't cheapest but this is really good, quality food. Justifies $7.50 tacos. Got three Carne Asada tacos and the kids quesadilla with a drink, total was $34. The carne asada here is best I've had in LA. Really flavorful marinade, SUPER tender, slightly fatty, and hot off the grill. It's unreal. Quesadilla had flavor with the homemade corn tortilla , but texture was kinda meh. Make sure to get a side of their aioli to dip couple bites of taco in, legit magical. And pineapple aguas fresca was a problem, perfectly balanced sweet/refreshing. Came with a friend for dinner after having this spot saved on my list for a while now. The staff are attentive, and they had my food out promptly when I picked up my mobile order. Logistical note: parking is limited to street parking or the nearby garages (which have free parking for 1 hour). I wasn't feeling tacos, so I decided to try the bacon breakfast burrito (especially since it's so hyped online). Very disappointing. My burrito was lukewarm. Granted, I didn't order the breakfast burrito at the peak time of day, but if the menu says that the breakfast burrito is available from morning to closing, I'm expecting a fresh, hot burrito when I order it. The tater tots inside weren't properly fried, so they were cold and soggy inside. The beans also weren't fully warmed through. Bacon was ample, but the addition of white rice (with there already being tater tots inside) felt a bit redundant. I wish there was avocado included inside because the burrito felt like it was missing some brightness. On the plus side, it's a large burrito, and the salsas are good. Solid Westside breakfast burrito. I tried it with bacon and it came out to about $18. The ingredients are mostly high quality: crunchy bacon, crispy tater tots, and fluffy scrambled eggs. I was a little put off by the addition of some plain white rice, which felt out of place, and I wished that the fillings were spread more evenly throughout; all of my egg was in the last two bites. Called and spoke to the manager, he said he would refund the food and give us a free drink or tacos next time we went. Me and my girlfriend were just trying cerveteca out on Uber Eats one day for lunch just to see if it was good, and not only was it 60$!!!!!! For two of the most pathetic nasty little portions of an "asada bowl" the rice was total mush the steak was dry like it had been cooked a day before and the guacamole tasted sour and funky like it was literally rotten, I've never had such poorly prepared Mexican food for such a ridiculous price, my girlfriend got "veggies" added for 3 dollars!!! What a cute little Mexican spot in downtown Culver! My friend and I came here for lunch and it was the best experience. You order in the front and take a seat wherever you find a table, which is all outdoors. It's located right behind the main strip of downtown Culver, so it's a bit more quiet where it's located, which was great. I ordered their baja fish, carne asada, and barbacoa tacos (not pictured). My favorite was the baja fish tacos, it was the perfect amount of crispy and tender fish. The carne asada was good too, their meat portion was substantial. My least favorite was the barbacoa taco, it was really saucy and I was full by the time I got to my third taco, so I couldn't finish the barbacoa taco. My friend and I shared the mexi queso chips, which was good! The chips are homemade and super crunchy. I wish the cheese melted a bit more but overall, still a really nice side snack. 4++ Fun little neighborhood spot that came up on my radar because of their breakfast burritos. I think they do lunch/dinner as well, but I specifically came for their breakfast burritos. This place is actually pretty close to me in the Palms/ Culver area along the busy street - Venice Blvd. Not sure why I haven't been here since it's so close. They also have tortillas for sale too. Very intriguing. Will have to come back for those. The place seemed a little small, as it was essentially a walk up ordering counter. There's some limited seating out front. I ended up ordering the combo, which included the breakfast burrito (I got bacon) and a coffee. The coffee was really good and the breakfast burrito was great! For the coffee, I just like a little cream/ half & half and it had a great, smooth flavor. The burrito had great texture - the bacon is cooked to be on the more crispy side - and great flavors. The potatoes also added to the texture and the flavors all melded together really well. Especially with a little of the included salsa. Overall, a really great spot to get your breakfast burrito fix. I've come here a few times for breakfast/brunch, and it always hits the spot! There are so many good breakfast places in the area, but Cerveteca has one of the best breakfast burritos (in my opinion). I always get mine with bacon and no beans. I've never had an issue with my order coming out wrong (knock on wood). The bacon bits are always super crispy, which adds a great crunch throughout the burrito. The portion size is geIt also comes with a delicious salsa (along with standard salsas). The salsa really adds a great flavor, and it's one of the reasons I think Cerveteca stands out for me. I will say that the coffee is a skip, although if you're not super picky about your coffee, the price is awesome (especially if you order it with your burrito). The place itself is fairly small, but I've always taken my food to-go and enjoyed it at home. I usually call ahead to place my order, but even if you order there, the service is prompt, and the staff is always friendly. Almost made a second trip to Cava this week then realized this was on my list and hadn't been yet and it didn't disappoint! I came in knowing what i wanted from a friends recommendation but the service was fast and prompt. Only 3-4 people ahead of us but it went quickly I had the salmon taco(extra crispy skin) and it was definitely crispy and a Baja fish taco with a side of rice. I was going back and forth between the two so much i lost track of which was which but both were amazing lol The Chicken tinga torta was my friends and i had a half. The sandwich was really good and came with chips. The sauce on the side was . Melted cheese with bell pepper was $2 and was a pretty small side is maybe the only complaint Horchata was really good and authentic. Another plus if you know this area is they had their own parking lot that you didn't have to pay for.
