Candor Coffee is such a charming little spot. I originally chose it because it was close to our nail salon, but even when my friend couldn't make it I was happy I stayed. The space has a calm, productive energy with lots of people quietly working on laptops. I ended up getting some work done from my phone and it was surprisingly relaxing. The chairs are comfortable, the volume stays low, and it has that peaceful vibe that makes you want to linger. I ordered the Caprese Crepe for lunch and it was delicious. Very filling, generous in size, and seasoned really well. My total for the latte and crepe came to about $22 before tip which is a little on the higher side, but the flavor made it worth it. I usually treat myself to something sweet after a meal and I was simply too full which says a lot. Definitely a shareable dish if you want something light with your coffee. The eggnog latte was such a standout. Not sugary at all, gently spiced, and incredibly easy to sip. It tasted festive without being overpowering which I really appreciated. They were also sampling a new soup and offered small cups with crackers and little spoons (so cute). I still do not know exactly what kind of soup it was, but it was packed with flavor and honestly even better than the crepe. That tiny bite alone made me want to come back to try more of their soups. Service was lovely the entire time. Friendly, thoughtful, and very welcoming. I appreciated the soft demure mannerisms and smiles from the welcoming staff. Overall, Candor Coffee is a great choice for a cozy lunch, a quiet work session, or a good cup of coffee in a calm setting. I would definitely return.

This is such a cute place. Plenty of parking, it was busy inside but there seats available. I ordered an oatmilk matcha latte with honey and the salmon toast. I love the decor and live plants inside. They call your drink order and they give you a numbered sign to bring your food out. I know my name is a little challenging to say, but I would like people to at least attempt to pronounce it, even if it was wrong at least they would have tried. I didn't hear my name being called , just my drink order. While I went up to get my drink, a server took my numbered sign so when the next server brought out my salmon toast , I was missed. Unfortunate. But no big deal, I got up and went to pick up my food. The matcha was the perfect drinkable temperature, and there was just enough honey that it wasn't overly sweet. The salmon toast was good, it was kinda plain though, it could have used just a little bit of salt on the cucumbers, or even a flavored cream cheese. The salmon was tender and delicious, and I enjoyed the capers on top. Very good salmon toast over all.

Okay! Who in the world would guess this cute little coffee shop in the middle of Renton would actually make some of the best coffee I've ever had! I tried an iced lavender latte. It was yummy but honestly I didn't feel it was anything to write home about. Nice strong espresso and light hint of lavender. Was good but didn't blow me away. After ordering that I glanced back up at the menu and realized I totally missed looking at the seasonal drinks!! And wow are they what makes this place special! I really wish I had ordered the honey pistachio latte that was one there! It looked so yummy! Thankfully I got to try some other things since I came with a few other people. I tried a sip of my friend's hot mocha and oh my goodness! One of the best coffees I've tried! The foam was think and pillowy. You know it's good when the coffee art doesn't move when you take a sip. I also tried their avocado toast. For being your typical avo toast it was yummy. Nice distribution of tomato's and it was perfectly salted. The inside was also very cute and tasteful. Definitely a good place to come for a meeting or some schoolwork. With all that being said I will definitely be back to try that matcha!

Stopped in for coffee and breakfast. Really cute cafe in Renton near IKEA. Counter service, plenty of seating. Ordered a cappuccino and breakfast bagel. I was not a fan of the coffee, very acidic and floral- I know some people like this type of coffee, I prefer smooth and bold. Breakfast bagel was pretty bad. Bagel seemed stale, not toasted at all, pretty sure the whole thing was microwaved. Not a huge fan.

I hadn't been in for a while, they have made several changes to the cafe! They redecorated, added more food options and I think more pastries as well! It's still a great spot to meet with friends to catch up or a lot of people go there to work, it's a nice comfortable spot. The young ladies at the register are always sweet.

Extremely cute cafe in Renton with delicious drinks! They have a house made pistachio flavor which was incredible in both a latte and matcha. They also offer some gluten free bakery items which were quite good. I went several times when I was in town and can't wait to return whenever I am back!

I visited candor coffee on a sunday around noon and it was constantly filled with a steady stream of people!! I came with friends to study and we probably wouldn't have been able to if we didn't bring noise canceling headphones. With that said, I loved the vibe of the cafe, it's pretty spacious and is filled with natural light. I saw a dubai matcha on their valentines menu and thankfully it was still available for purchase!! It was quite pricey at almost $9 but it was for a 16oz and I also LOVED it. It had a yummy matcha flavor and there was crushed nuts for some texture. I would definitely get this again! I'm looking forward to coming back if ever in the area. They had pastries and food that looked really good too!

Very good place to have sandwich avacado toast and have brunch with your loved ones and also have coffee and matcha. Quiet ambience with great service and very good food.

This is a cute little coffee shop where people hang out to enjoy their coffees with some screen time. We came around 9:30 am on a Monday and there were only a couple of people in front of us, but the service was kinda slow. However their coffee and teas were worth waiting for. I had the chai Marsala latte, and it had a nice gingery taste and not very sweet.

I've been coming here for years. Nice place w/ good tasting coffee. The staff is very nice, and easy to talk to. They've recently expanded their food menu as well. The cafe has nice furniture, and is cool place to: meetup with friends, study, eat, or work. The decor is modern if you just want to be somewhere that's aesthetically pleasing, or get some work done. There are plugs for charging along the perimeter of the store. Bathrooms behind the bar (M&W). Seating is arranged for both group and solo visits. The music is good, and makes for relaxing background ambiance. Oh, there's also outdoor seating w/ covered tables. -Free parking & WiFi -Located just off 167 by IKEA and Valley Medical Center.

I've came to Candor Coffee before so I knew what to expect. The cafe was beautiful with plenty of seating and the baristas were so nice. I noticed they got new iced cups so I wanted to try an iced matcha latte. I saw the barista use a chawan and whisk so I had high hopes. I ordered a 16oz iced matcha latte ($7.06) and it was not good. I got it sweetened with their simple syrup and it just tasted like sweet milk. It definitely needed more matcha but I did like their ice.

Loved this coffee shop! Candor offers a spacious and artsy environment to get some work done while enjoying your caffeine fix. Originally from Renton back in the day, I never would've thought there would be cool coffee shops such as Candor which would pop up. The coffee was excellent and rich in flavor and the baristas were super friendly and the service was prompt. Another great business located in the City of Renton, WA.

Super cute place to study! My friend and I were there on a weekday and the place was pretty packed. We were able to find a table easily, and they also have built in outlets spaced out evenly throughout the cafe. Coffee was delicious! I'm conflicted because I genuinely do love to support small businesses but I'm still bothered by my experience here. First off, I think that the space is absolutely beautiful and I appreciate all the decor. I also love that they uplift other small businesses by hosting pop-ups (I visited during a pop-up) and selling other shops' items. I can tell that this is a business that empowers women & I'm all for that energy! However, I do wish that they were a bit better at social distancing... I know it's difficult since there were a good handful of people due to the pop-up but the tables (where customers sat) were wayyy too close together. If I were to sit down at a table, I could easily touch the person sitting next to me without fully extending my arm. I ordered the seasonal special, churro latte, and it was just okay. I don't regret buying it since I did wanna try Candor's coffee for a while but I'm just annoyed cause the barista only gave me one stamp on my stamp-card even though I bought two drinks LOL I asked for another one but she said its one stamp per transaction and not per drink. I do not know of any other cafe who does it like that lol I know it's not that big of a deal but like why would you give me only one stamp whether I buy one or ten drinks? I feel like that disincentivizes customers from ordering more. Renton's pretty out of the way for me so I probably won't visit again but I just hope that they do a better job at handling COVID-19. My friend visited last week when it was busy and she said that she was the only one wearing a mask at one point. I think it's understandable that the customers took off their masks while at their seats since they're sipping on coffee btw. But my friend said that the workers took off their masks sometimes too, when they weren't serving customers at the register. I honestly don't think that's appropriate at all and I do believe that workers should have their masks on at all times. I've worked in food service during this pandemic and so have many of my friends. I get that it's annoying to wear but we have always had our masks on during our shifts, so I was shocked. read more

Not worth it. Cute atmosphere, but too expensive & lackadaisical service. Ordered a medium (12 oz) matcha latte with vanilla & oat milk. Looks like a small & was $7.87... & didn't taste good. Barista was talking to a friend & didn't even let me know my drink was ready- & i was sitting nearby. Def a good Space to do work, but avoid wasting your money. read more

I've been here 3 times overall so far the past 2 weeks and I have had terrific service from all employees there so far. First visit, we got 2 drinks. 1 hot pistachio rose latte with almond milk and a 2nd standard iced latte. The pistachio drink was awesome but the iced latte was standard because I'm very used to specialty drinks rather than the normal lattes. I didn't have a choice on the 2nd drink since there wasn't enough pistachio for 2 drinks. To support local small business during unique times, we bought other things sold in the store as well. I came back a 2nd time a week later and was in luck since there was pistachio. Katie and Diana A. helped out and made a couple terrific drinks, 1 hot one cold. I came back today and there wasn't anymore pistachio so I settled for the rose which was still good but missing the pistachio. Those are my experiences and my conclusion is that the staff is very friendly, very good specialty coffee that is seasonal. The PISTACHIO is a HIT since it's always gone. If possible, I would urge to increase production on that and put it on the primary menu and not only myself but I would imagine you would have some loyal pistachio orders daily. I always appreciate good coffee and service so thank you very much to the owners and staff for opening up another wonderful coffee shop with great service! read more

Finally! A GOOD coffee spot near Kent/Renton! Recently found out about this cafe 3 days ago....and we already have been back 3 days in a row Rose matcha is a must! They use house-made syrups and ceremonial grade matcha. Their lattes and mochas are also very smooth...not too strong, and not too milky. Sweetness is always perfect. The star is for the interior and overall vibe. The rest, meh. I ordered a bagel with jalapeño cream cheese and when I got it, it was garlic herb cream cheese and was told they don't even offer jalapeño. Ookkkk then why was I able to order it and pay for it? The cashiers don't ask for customer's names for their orders, so the servers place the drinks on the counter and very meekly call out what it is. Candor Coffee gives modern boho vibes with great natural lighting w/large windows. This place is definitely instagrammable but that's about it unfortunately. It's been on my list for awhile so I finally went to try to study. The baristas are unfamiliar w/their own menu or how to describe what their seasonal drinks taste like. I ended up ordering a 12oz iced white mocha w/brown sugar syrup and light ice. The person after me got his drink first. They gave me an 8oz instead of a 12oz and wouldn't fix the drink. The drink itself was watery and bitter and not worth $7. There was no AC so it was super hot inside and all the stools at the bar side seating (only spots left) were wobbly. read more

Candor coffee has a beautiful space with friendly staff but their drink prices need some dialing in. To my surprise, the 12 oz iced oat milk matcha that I ordered with tip was $8.40. The drink was tasty but it was hard to justify the price. I'm all for supporting independent specialty coffee shops but this was def the most expensive matcha I've had in Seattle area. read more

Probably the closest thing to a cozy coffee hangout in the southern SeaTac area. The aesthetics here are straight outta a white woman's Instagram. Expect to be overtaken with pale wood, barn rope and white paint that says I love avocado toast and rosé. A good atmosphere but hard water and sour beans means the coffee has lots of tannens and is often sour, with the essential oils pulling to the top. read more

Cute and inviting place. Great place to hang out and work or just hang out post covid. Tons of outlets which is a huge plus. Quiet, warm, and great lighting. I tried a cinnamon roll and it was delicious. I don't know where they get them but they aren't overly sweet. Reminds me a lot of a malasada in the sweetness factor. Had coffee which was fine. I can't judge yet because they are super new and still learning. I think the coffee will get better as they learn. Lots of options for drinks including some cool drinks I want to try. Kombucha as well which is nice. Overall a must try if in the area. I will go back! read more

I was driving past with my family, and lo and behold, I noticed that there was a new coffee shop in town--they just happened to open 2 days ago! I'm glad to see a locally owned and operated spot open up in what was previously a Starbucks location. Candor Coffee has a clean and modern blue-and-white aesthetic, a minimalist menu with roasts from Olympic Coffee, and a spacious seating area with plenty of hand sanitizer and electrical outlets. I got an iced pumpkin spice latte from their specials menu, and the roast was fragrantly balanced with a strong blend of autumnal spices, perfect for the season. A wonderful find while getting our car serviced just a few blocks down the street. Excellent coffee and a nice selection of pastries and breakfast croissants including gluten-free and vegan choices. I got an iced lavender latte that was just ok for me. The roast was on the lighter side. Menu is simple with a few pastries. This place has cute interior, lots of lighting, fast free internet, and lots of outlets. It was a nice place to work from despite how close some tables were set from each other. It can get loud but noise canceling earbuds solves the problem. There's also a nice size parking lot so makes it easier to stay for an extended time. read more

I went here today for the 2nd time and love the space. It's clean, bright, plenty of seating with outlets at each table, and you can get a lot of work done if you work remotely. I honestly really like all the baristas. They're always greeting me with a genuine smile and have great customer service. I have weekly appts nearby and like to visit. There's plenty of parking too. The teas, avo toast and the Hibiscus House Soda are all tasty. Can't wait to try their coffee! read more

Went in on a Saturday waited 45 min for coffee and a pastry, it wasn't the right pastry. The line was so long didn't not want to wait any longer. Three kids running the place in slow motion. There should be an adult working especially during busy times. No names on the coffee orders people were touching each other food orders trying to figure out whose was whos. read more

The inside was super cute and felt straight out of California vibes but none of the staff were wearing masks which made the experience very uncomfortable. It was especially strange in this area because to not wear a mask is more like a protest which felt very unprofessional. My brother and I still ordered coffees because we were already at the register but we won't be returning. read more

It is clearly an eyesore. We ordered the steamed Banh Beo. They were good. The Cha Giò (fried spring rolls) were great, as well. The Grilled Chicken Knees were super good, especially the sauce. But that item was clearly too expensive for serving a chicken part that is easily thrown out by a butcher! They don't give you enough. Maybe it should be put in appetizer section. Or maybe serve it needs to be served with some rice! The food is served on flat baskets and small attractive little chinaware---nice touch, very authentic looking . They also served sugar cane juice and other tropical smoothie drinks, with boba. Wished they' had the employees at least check on the diners and ask how we liked the food. Also, don't mind bussing our plates, but the station felt cramped. Again, I understand that it's not a full service restaurant, but a few extra service touches can enhance the experience for a good concept that they seem to have here. The other thing that bothered us is that there was no water coming out of the faucet in their one lone restroom. One would think that, that would be in any restaurant's checklist before they open. Big no-no. We'll be happy to try other offerings next time.

I didn't get to try their food or drinks because I had already come in with one. But their crepes looked yummy and I'd probably be able to give a more accurate rating if I had tried. But just based on the environment, you could definitely get some studying done if you had headphones, otherwise, it's really loud. There was kids constantly crying and yelping. The store is also really full but it's valid because there are nice tables and couches for any type of hangout. We love Candor!! They have a rotating list of unique drinks (w/espresso and without), the pastries are all locally sourced, the staff is always friendly, AND their space is so SO beautiful. Can't wait to spend time inside once restrictions are lifted! read more

Candor was such a fun place to visit! Went with my daughter and loved looking around the shop at all the fun decorations and merchandise. Will definitely be coming again!! Oh, and the passion fruit scone was incredible... 5 stars for Candor! read more
